8800 Problems, don't know if it's early 2008 or 1st Generation

Okay I feel like an idiot! Any help would be appreciated. I just recently bought a refurb Mac Pro 3.0GHz Quad Xeon with the ATI1900X installed.
I want to upgrade to the Nvidia card but I don't know how to tell if it's a 1st Generation or an Early 2008 since it's a refurbished Mac Pro.
If I need to post more info let me know, so I can figure this out!

With Premiere CC when I try to do a selection (click... drag... release the click) very often it stop way before the end of the move I'm swinging the Magic Mouse. I taught that the mouse clicking was defective and went to get a new Magic Mouse after lots of frustration. Today, I have an edit to do it it does the SAME thing !!

Opened all the lights and taught I've trow the new mouse to the garbage and was using the defective mouse again... no !! - ??
Actually, the bran new mouse is doing the same thing. What I understand after investigating on the motion and watching carefully my fingers !! - is that when I click I have to keep my finger at the EXACT same place on the mouse... drag and release and it's fine. If I click by pushing on the mouse and my finder is moving of a 1/32th of a millimeter, it will release and my selection will be to redo. You can understand my frustration ! - 75$ later... same problem, but I know that if I click with about 5 pounds of pressure and trying to pass my finger through the plastic of the mouse, it you stay steady and make it !
The problem is that scrolling is enable while clicking and it bugs.
How to disable it ??

sorry but the Magic Mouse is just useless with the new Adobe Premiere CC and since I'm not the only one but can't find answer this is really disappointing. This mouse is just fantastic and now I have to swap from a USB mouse to the Magic Mouse every times I do some editing. My USB mouse if hurting my hand somehow and I want to got back to the Magic Mouse asap. Please - for sure there is a simple solution !

Safari problems, don't know how to fix!!

I just bought a new Mac Mini, system 10.10 with Safari 8.0. I'm regretting the decision! I see other people are having a lot of problems with Safari too (or is it the system?). I get pop-up ads even though my preferences are set to block them, when I open a new tab it's pre-loaded with a fake site, when I click on a link in a search engine it takes me to a fake site, portions of the page don't load, etc. I am getting extremely frustrated! I know the cause of the problem is Safari but I don't know how to fix this! I see lots of posts for fixing individual problems but is there something I can do to fix everything? I wish I hadn't bought this computer, but I need a computer and all my data is on a mac. Please help, I'm not tech-savvy and this is driving me bonkers.

You actually can do your own clean install, and no disks are required these days. Hold down command-R at startup to enter recovery mode. From there, you can use Disk Utility to erase the hard drive, then reinstall the system (which will require being able to download about 4+ GB from Apple's servers). Be sure you have good backups first, as this will destroy everything on the hard drive.

BTW, for the future, you could create two accounts for your son - one for homework, with fewer websites allowed but no time limits, and one for games, with time limitations but allowing access to sites like Webkinz. Then he can't mess up your account.

hello, im using a SB Li've! 24 bit sound card (not external). i formatted my harddri've few days ago, after that i installed
?realtek AC97 codec driver from my gigabyte mainboard utility cd
? sb li've! driver that comes with the product
? k-lite codec pack?v3.25 (and im using media player classic that comes with this codec pack to watch videos, even mov.s, flv.s and dvds)
before?the?format,?i?had?been using?these?softwares?too (no more upper versions) and didnt have any problem. but after the format, when i try to watch my iron maiden dvd with media player classic: the video is normal but the sound screws up when i set EAX to something except of "No Effect"... Hi, I am developing my first application using Struts and JSP. The Action Form loads an object called reportGrid into session and I am trying to display it on a JSP page. Displaying simple variables works fine, but I can display an object. The error I receive is: Don't know how to iterate over supplied "items"
My object is made up of a group of ArrayLists looks similar to this this:

Flash player 10 problem, don't know what is wrong, pls help

ok for some reason my computer got rlly slow so i restored to a previous date by use of norton 360(the reason i did this is because other things worked ok but
not very well and it was stil rlly slow)so after i restore i come to watch youtube and it says my current adobe flash player needs to be updated so i go update it then i go back to watch the video but the message stil says my flash player cant play the video, so i uninstall my flash player then reinstall it but it stil wont play the video so i say tht ill fix it later but when i go to play some flash games i cant play them either so i go to watch anime and i cant watch it either so norton somehow messed up my flash player when i restored it to a previous date and i dont know what it did or how it did it so could i pls get some help on this matter

Hi, If you followed Norton's instructions, then you may want to ask them what needs to be done. You can Uninstall Flash Player and Install it again. Follow the instructions here.

Grave sound problem, don't know where the problem lies.

When I first play with my guitar into Logic, it is delayish, then comes an awful noise for about 20 seconds. When that noise stops, everything is "nearly" ok, though the sound quality is quite crappy. If I'm silent for some time, I'll have to wait again.
I've tested this problem in garageband too, and it seems like the problem is there too.
I'm going through a POD HD500, via an USB2-cable into my MacBook Pro. Tested this problem with my POD GX too, and the problem was still there.
My guitar is a Gibson Les Paul Studio (fireburst finish, nickel hardware)

Sounds like it's an issue with the POD drivers. Have you installed the latest (Mountain Lion) drivers from Line 6? Do you get the same problems when using the built-in audio?

I discovered that sometimes, when I talk to people ( so far talked to people using windows only), I cannot receive what they say, and I need to log in using a pc to say what they say, sometimes.
Why is this happening? any clue?

This is not a Mac problem. It's a known issue (although not recognized by Microsoft), it's just a flaw on the Windows Live network. it happens on the Windows client too time to time. The exact reasons are unknown.

I have an itouch 1st generation running version 2.2.1. I want to load the program Brushes, which the requirements read: Compatible with iphone and itouch, requires iphone os 2.1 or later. Will this work on my itouch?
I tried loading a program Inspire, which its requirements were: Compatible with iphone and itouch, requires iphone os 3.0 or later. This did not work, because I didn't have os 3 on itouch. When trying to upgrade, I cannot because I have a 1st generation. Is this correct? I'm assuming I can't load anything that has requirements for iphone or itouch, with iphone os 3.0 or later?!?!

No, you can indeed upgrade to 3.0 if you wish. The you can get apps that require 3.0 or later.

Have downloaded for example: Queen – Bohemium Rhapsody from a compilation album as well as a few complete Queen Album CDs into the iTunes library and then put them into playlists,
When I go onto my phone and select Queen on the MUSIC app using Songs tab at the bottom of the screen it will display all Queen songs and their resective Alum pics, that is all those not in a complilation album, .
If I know the song title I can select the songs tab and find the song that way,
I’ve tried fiddling with the settings in the iTunes app by going to ‘get info’ tab and trying to sort the problem out that way but am not having much luck.What I want the phone to do is show, for example all Queens songs including those in compilation albums. Can this be done, would be grateful for any ideas on how it can be done, that is if ic can be done, any ideas

Try assigning Queen as the Album Artist on the compilations in iTunes on your computer.
