8830 Can't get pictures off phone

I upgraded my phone and wanted to upload my photos to my pc to save. I have already turned off that phone so I cannot email all of them, and that would be a pain as there are so many. I saw that you can use the bb as a mass storage drive, but i do not have a card in it( never did so I did not add one). So my pc does not recognize the old BB as a storage drive and I cannot access the files in the phone to get them off. anyone solve this one before? thanks

Just put a media card in the device, move the pictures over to it (Media folder > Explore > select each one by one and select Move). Then you have them on the card.
Alternatively, you might try using the Media Sync software found in Desktop Manager.

Computer doesn't recognize that phone usb is plugged in..can't get pictures off phone!

I have tons of pictures on my phone that I want to put on my computer and I was able to do it once within the first week of getting my phone. Now every time I try it the computer is not recognizing the usb no matter how many times I mount it on my phone. What is going on??

Ugh, this took me two days to figure out ... I'm already bald so I didn't have any hair to pull out but I tried!
So I messed something up and my computer stopped recognizing my droid 4. I found an article about setting up your phone for usb and it mentioned going to System Settings->Storage->USB computer connection. So on my phone that is the 3 lines button on the bottom left of the phone's face, aka Menu Button, then select System Settings. Then scroll down to the DEVICE section and select Storage. Then hit the 3 lines button (Menu Button) while in Storage and it pops up with USB computer connection at the bottom. After selecting that, I then select Media device (MTP) but I could've selected Mass Storage or Camera if I felt brave

Can i get Pictures off of a broken

my iphone 4 has just stopped working and the power button has been broke for weeks so i cant even restart the phone. Also it is not being recognised when i plug it into my computer. Is there anyway at all that i can get my phots from the broken phone?

If it is not being detected by the computer, then there is no way to get data off the device.
If PhotoStream was enabled on the device, all pictures taken should already be there and can be synced to another iOS device.
If the device has been used as designed, pictures taken with it would have regularly been copied off to a computer so any loss should be minimal.

Unfortunately, no. The only slim chance is if you connect it to the computer that you normally sync with. If it is a trusted computer, at times, it will allow the import. Generally, it will stop and ask for the passcode. If that is the case, then you will not be able to recover them if you do not have them imported or backed up already in iTunes and/or iCloud.

Can I get pictures off of an iPhone 5 with water damage?

So my wife recently dropped her iPhone 5 in the toilet... And I believe she tried to power it on after she got it out and dried it off, which I know is a big no no. So I tried the bag of rice trick. That didn't seem to do too much. When I plug it in to my MacBook Pro, iTunes will recognize it, and say that it is in recovery mode, and that it needs to be restored in order to continue. I said **** with it and tried to restore, but I get error message 2001. I know I can get at least a little money for it from places like Gazelle, etc. even if it is water damaged, and I have already ordered the 5s with an upgrade we had on our plan, so I'm not too concerned about having it repaired; although if I could restore it, I could get a little more money. So I have 2 questions.
1. Is there anyway I can get the pictures off of the iPhone without paying $230 to have it repaired.
2. What does error message 2001 mean? And is there anyway to restore it at this point?

I the device will not power on without going into recovery mode then the pictures would not be restorable even with a repair.
Try Resetting the device ( Power button + home butto till you see the apple).

Your best bet is to look in iTunes for a backup ( Edit>preference>devices you will see all the device backups on the computer here) or in the iCloud once you sign into her Apple id on the new device.

Can't get SMS off phone...please help!

I have a Nokia N93i (RM-156). I'm using the latest Nokia PC Suite's Communication Center, and for some reason it's not able to talk to the phone. It just says "Loading messages..." in the upper left for about 15 seconds, then it goes away and nothing happens. All the Message Folders just remain empty.
Also, when I try clicking on Contacts in the bottom left, I see the same thing, except that after 15 seconds an error message dialog box popus up with "Refreshing of contacts failed."
Other things - Store Images, browsing the file system in Windows Explorer, etc. - all work fine.
This all started after the PC Suite automatically pushed some new software onto my phone, including what I believe was new messaging software, but I'm not sure (I don't remember what the program names were; they were a bit cryptic). I just ran the Nokia Software Updater, but that made no difference (already up to date, v30.0.013).
Anyway, I really would like to get my SMS messages off my phone; any help would be tremendously appreciated!

You should be able to import photos from iPOD. In the Photo Downloader, there are media filter toolbar buttons on the top of grid. Please un-press the video and audio button. Please see, you should be able to see your photos then.

Can't Get Contacts Off Phone

I synced my iPhone for the first time after updating to 3.0 and it asked me whether I wanted to delete 100 or so of my contacts. I went ahead and did it thinking there was some sort of duplicates problem, but it deleted them off my computer and left them on my phone.
I don't know why!
Now whenever I sync, the phone contacts won't merge back into the computer contacts. I tried the FAQ page's instructions, but the address book files weren't in my Library folder where it said they would be. Nothing seems to be helping. I am losing my mind here!

If deleted from your old phone, and you were syncing contacts with iCloud, this would also delete them from iCloud. Unless you have a backup, that contains your contacts, to restore from, they are gone.

Do what you are being told. Plug the phone into a computer running iTunes and restore the phone.

The only pics that can be imported to your computer are pics in your camera roll, & you don't use iTunes for that. Read here:

Would anyone have a suggestion for getting pictures off of a VX5500? I was told it's a "lockdown phone", what's the most economical way of doing this? I'm trying a number of things, but they take too long etc

What does lockdown mean? You can try to email the pictures to your self or upload the pics to your online album

If you know the password to your apple id login - you can then do a restoration once you have put your device into recovery mode using itunes.
read this article to give you direction how to put your device into recovery mode.
Once you have put in your apple id login and password this then will allow you to restore the device once the device is placed in recovery mode.
