8D report upload in QM Notification (QM01)

Please let me know how to upload 8d or Corrective action documents in Notification using DMS. Please guide me, we are having DMS functionality. Do we need to create Document info record and how to assign/upload related document every time I create a notification. QM notification is having a functionality for DMS link.

Hi Jaison,
1. Upload 8D report in CV01n transaction.
2. to assign QM notification as a object link, go to DC10 transaction and create a document type then go to define object link and there u can add this QM notification as a object link for the document type for 8D.
I am sure this will resolve the query.

Multiple material entry in single notification QM01

We have a requirement wherein we need to enter multiple materials in single notification. Currently the standard screen of QM01 allows only single material entry. Please help in finding a solution for this.

Hi Satya,
Putting multiple materials in single notification as header material is not possible. In fact how will you separate out material wise defects , coding causes, tasks and other information if you go with multiple materials.
The materials which you put under items tab cannot be treated as header materials. Rather these are the materials which are used as child parts associated with header materials which constitute bill of material. The purpose of these materials is to identify which child part attached to parent part id defective.
If the multiple materials you meant are child parts, you may proceed with these fields.
If time saving is your intention then you may develop the BDC for notification creation with selected filed. Prepare data file in excel / text and upload as you upload master data.

How to "Add" Button to upload file in Notification PG?

I have a question on Extending/Customizing notfn to have "Add" attachment button to upload a document (some stnd template that Our business has) on either NotifDetailsPG or /oracle/apps/fnd/wf/worklist/webui/MoreInfoPG when a Approver opens notification to APPROVE/Reject
I'm wondering why Oracle didn't provide this feature of Uploading a file (along with Response input text area that they provided already) in NotifDetailsPG?
Business Reason: Our Business wants to upload a doc when an approver Rejects the notification (our case: iExpense module filing Exp Report) telling employee to follow some protocals
Question on OAF:
Is it possible to extend NotifDetailsPG or MoreInfoPG to upload a file. So, that when it goes to requestor they can open this file back and read thru. I know we need to insert a record in fnd_documents and fnd_attached_documents and /or fnd_lobs...but i don't know how to retrieve it back....Any hints....

to clarify again....
In the WF notification during the time of "Reject"ion or "Approv"al, we want to upload a file and then perform Reject/Approve action. Can we extend the page to have Add button to upload file? Is that a lot of work?

CCMP Report Upload Issue

Hi,
I am facing an issue while updating reports in CCMP verion 8.5. when i try to upload the report it gives the error.
System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: The permissions granted to user 'NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE' are insufficient for performing this operation. ---> Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.AccessDeniedException: The permissions granted to user 'NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE' are insufficient for performing this operation.
I know it has something to do with the NETWORK SERVICE user but i dont know how to give proper rights to this user.
I
have created a role in Report Manager for this user but i am unable to edit it as this user does not show.

I have uploaded the reports and they are showing in CCMP but i am facing another issue maybe you can help with that when i run the report it gives the following error.

Error when saving quality notification (QM01)

Anybody knows what caused the error which says that the notification number is locked by the same notification? Encountered this when saving transaction QM01.

Error message is:
Notification 200300002675 locked by 200300002675.
Message no. IM 416
This was encountered when saving the notification that is just being created so how could it be locked?

Changing Author field in Notification(QM01,QM02)

There is a customised field in 'Referene Object' tab in QM01 and QM02 transactions.This value has to be copied to Author field in 'Partner' tab. I have tried the same in Customer Exit in the include LXQQMU20 that Checks before Saving Notification but it does not work .

Go To SPRO--> Quality Managment --> Quality Notification --> Notification Creation --> Notification Type --> Define Screen Templates -->Format Notification Long Text
Choos the relevant notification type and go in details;.Deselect the indicator "Log Line".

Inspection report uploading

Hi,
How can I upload incoming inspection report send by vendors in SAP.
Case 1: Soft copies which are received from vendors needs to uploaded with reference to inspection lots, incase of material subjected to inspection.
Case 2: Some materials may not be subjected to inspection and in this case also reports needs to be uploaded.
Please suggest how to handle this requirement. DMS is already available.

If you are purchasing the materials you can use the incoming certificate functionality. This allows the cert to be scanned and saved as a PDF and linked to the purchase documents. (see QM>Quality Certificates>Incoming). Transaction is QC51. The reference to would be via purchase order number to inspection lot than. The purchase order number is reference in QC51.
You can also use the services for object and upload a pdf file and attach it to the inspection lot directly.

I m currently working on a requirement to attach a custom report along with the PO Output for communication report in the PO Approval. I was tracing and found out that the PO Output for communication has been submitted in PO_COMMUNICAITON_PVT package. After that i am unable to trace further. Please let me know how i can i trace this and how to attach a custom report in PO Approval.

We are unable to understand your requirement correctly.. Do you use any schedule conc. request to generate the Custom report??? At what time you want to attach custom report in the PO, during the PO creation process by the buyer (before submitting for approval)?
Can the buyer, generate the custom report and save it locally (in his m/c) before attaching it to the PO..?

VAT report - upload historical data

The "VAT register Poland" report has been issued for July & August.
I have carried out a master data change (for VAT register no.) and I need to re-produce the VAT reports for these 2 months.
Can I re-run the report?
Will it pick up the modified master data?

I am not sure whether it will work, because these reports depend on tables (which you can not modify) and the tables depend on the i.e sales order, FI document etc...

Please specify your requirement clearly. Are you updating a custom table of any fields in the standard table ?

I want to upload files into notification, that is 8D, CAPA reports submitted by vendor in Q2 notification. Also some times we may have to upload documents or files with big size also into SAP. How can we do this.
Questions
Can we attach small files directly in a notificatin without DMS
Can we use DMS and link bigger files to the corresponding document.
Please guide me in this process.

Yes, it is possible.
Go to Notification screen QM01/ QM02/ QM03
You will find one icon with drop-down symbol on left top screen of QN, "store object".
Once you click you will get list of QN and task where you want to attach. Just double click on req.
Click on store business document . You will get list of doc type. Double click here system will give you pop-up to store document.

QM01 - Add new fields under SUBJECTS tab for notification type Q2

Hi Experts,
My requirement is to add 2 new fields to the create Quality Notification (QM01) Tcode under SUBJECTS tab for Notification type Q2.
I followed the following steps to achieve this :
[ SPRO -> Quality Mnanagement -> Quality Notifications -> Overview Quality Notification Types -> Then I selected Q2 and then selected dcreen structure for extended view -> Double clicked on 10\TAB02 ].
Now I arrived on the screen where we have to define the custom screen area and screen number.
But here in this case (Q2 notification type) all the 5 screen areas are already occupied , so where can I add my custom subscreen ??

You can enter the more than two persons in but not on header screen. In operation you can make each seperate person responsible for each operation & that can be entered against each operation seperately. Also if operation is carried out by two person then also you can enter that in the form of split.
But it is not possible to enter two users in reported by field.

Is there any way to fetch Grpahic images uploaded in QM01 Transaction Code and display the same in smartforms.
Note: Images are Uploaded while creating Notification through QM01 Tcode by clicking SERVICES FOR OBJECTS--> CREATE -->CREATE ATTACHMENT on left side of title bar_CREATE NOTIFICATION: COMPLAINT AG.VENDOR_

How to configure notification emails for reports output or alerts for all users in r12

Hi,
I need to configure notification emails. I have provided settings in OAM-> Workflow and SMTP IP address in settings and only Outbound. I am able to test for my user ID.
I want to know how to redirect emails or alerts for users like when a user runs a report he should get notification email in his outlook about the report output and details. In settings it only points for one replyto field. How do I mention all user ID's?
