    Hey there,
it sounds like your question involves WebCenter Spaces so I would recommend you checkout the discussion board for that software which is here:
    http://forums.oracle.com/forums/forum.jspa?forumID=1188
This board is for a different product called WebCenter Interaction.
    Good luck!

I was trying to use spaces API and get this component in the resource catalog of the webcenter spaces. I am stuck in an exception and would request your support and expertise to come out of it.
I used spaces API’s, created data control of the java classes and created a bounded taskflow of the same.
I then downloaded the extendwebcenterspaces application and used the below white paper to customize the resource catalog.
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/webcenter/owcs-r11-extend-spaces-wp-132596.pdf
After updating the catalog reference of the ADF Library Jar( taskflow converted to jar), in the resource catalog xml’s, I was able to create a new version of the webcenter spaces upon deployment and was able to see my taskflow in the resource catalog of the webcenter.
However, when I try to add the taskflow in my page, it gave me the below exception.
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/webcenter/spaces/ws/client/GroupSpaceWSContext
To get over this exception, I added spaces-webcenter-client.jar to the lib folder and deployment profile of CustomWebCenterSpacesWAR.
However, the exception still remained , though the required classes were added.
Can you please help me to solve the above exception.

  • Installation of oracle application server10g Rel2

    hi all,
is there any different way to install and configure oracle application server10g release2 or same way as we install developersuit10g release2.
or please refer me to any link related to Oracle applcation server installation guid.

refer me to any link related to Oracle
applcation server installation guid.Well, there are many, depending on your OS...
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_19/getstart.htm
You mention developer suite, so maybe you only need Forms and Reports ? If so, then http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19375_07/doc/frs/docs.htm

  • Installation of Oracle Application Server on Peer to Peer Network

I have a network of three machines. One of the machine runs Redhat Linux AS 4 with static IP. I have installed Oracle iAS 10g on one machine. Other two machines are windows machines with static IPs. These are client machines for the AS. All three machines are pinging each other.
When I try to access the iAS from the windows machine, the IE or firefox gives internal server error. All the services on the iAS are up and running.
My question is that is it possible to run oracle iAS without DNS server?
What is the best practice in this regard?
    regards

Modify c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\host as a text file and add the entries for your ips and hostnames, this file is used intead of DNS or when a DNS is not available.
    Greetings!

  • Oracle Application server  10.1.2.0.2 Installation error

    Please
I am installing OAS on a oracle linux 5
when i get to 86 % of the installation process where it shift to the link page i get an error and to continue i have to ignore several erros
    any idea
    thank you

I found the solution. I ran the following commands it worked
Any installation of Oracle Application Server 10g Release 2 (10.1.2.0.2) on OEL 5.x or RHEL 5.x in which Reports is getting installed will fail with reports relinking errors unless you apply the required RPM listed below. You may download the RPM package from the following location:
As root, you can install this RPM package by issuing the ollowing command
    # rpm -i xorg-x11-libs-compat-6.8.2-1.EL.33.0.1.i386.rpm
After the RPM, is installed, you will also need to override the /usr/lib/libXtst.so.6 with the one from /usr/X11R6/lib/libXtst.so.6. As root, issue the commands:
    # mv /usr/lib/libXtst.so.6 /usr/lib/libXtst.so.6.ORG
    # ln –s /usr/X11R6/lib/libXtst.so.6 /usr/lib/libXtst.so.6

    BuildVersion=12.1.0.882.BOE_Mira_RTM
I have success installed OAS 10.1.3 (with patch 10.1.3.3.0), and when i'm installing BO following documentation, after installation no any BO applications in OAS found. This is first.
Then i attempt install BO applications (CmcApp, AdminTools, etc...) manualy... I have success installation of CmcApp, but when try it to run, i get error ([logon_error_attach|http://www.sendspace.com/file/u8gyoj]), page with logo BO, but logon form (logon.faces) could't be found... i think *.faces on OAS does not work/support, it must be something like *.jsp, *.jspx, but not *.faces, or i must configure OAS in special way.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks, Evgeny.
    Spasibo)
p.s. With Tomcat which comes with BO all works fine.

  • Hardware requirements for Oracle Applications

I remember that I’ve seen an excel worksheet (guess it was produced by Oracle) where we could input the expected number of users and a lot of other variables and obtain the desired hardware requirements for a specific installation of Oracle Applications.

OK, you can find the software here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/htdocs/101310.html
(Choose CD1 for the your platform from "Oracle SOA Suite 10g" row)
Here is the installation guide for Linux that will walk you through the steps to install:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/linux.1013/install/toc.htm
If you are only looking to install Oracle Application Server and not the SOA Suite or Web Center Suite, you still use the above software but choose "Integrated Web Server and OC4J Middle Tier":
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/linux.1013/install/topo.htm#CEGEECFH
    Hope this will help.

  • Oracle Application Server 10g Installation Guide for Windows

The link to Oracle Application Server 10g Installation Guide for Windows on the OTN Web Site don't work. Using search on site does not turn up any installation document for Oracle Application Server 10g.
How can I find the Installtion Guide or the Quick Installtion Guide for Oracle Application Server 10g for Windows?

    Hi,
The docs you seek are available through the OTN documentation pages at: http://otn.oracle.com/documentation/index.html.
Click on the link for "Oracle Application Server Release 10g (9.0.4)" and then on the "View Library" link for part B10468_04 - Oracle Application Server 10g Online Documentation 10g (9.0.4.0.0) for Microsoft Windows.
The Docs are located under the Documentation tab.
Alternatively, here is the direct link to the Documentation Tab interface of the Library:

  • Oracle Application Server 10g R2 installation on Oracle Enterprise Linux 5

    Hi there ...
I want to install Oracle Application Server 10g R2 on Oracle Enterprise Linux 5. Can I get an installation instructions (or steps) for that?
Oracle installation guide mentions Suse 9 & 8 and Red hat 3 & 2. There is nothing related to Oracle Enterprise Linux 5 or 4?
    Thanks

Yes there is one for 10gR3 too:

  • Oracle Application Server 10g R2 32bit installation on RHEL 5.4 64 bit

    Hi !
Is it possible to install 32 bit Oracle Application Server 10g R2 on 64 bit RHEL 5.4?
Is there some spacial care I need to take to do this?
    Regards,
    GC

May be possible but it is probably not tested by Oracle nor is it supported as error correction support for OAS 10g has finished more than a year ago.
A good starting point is My Oracle Support Note [url https://support.oracle.com/CSP/main/article?cmd=show&type=NOT&id=564174.1]564174.1, "Oracle Application Server 10g (10.1.2) Installation Requirements for Linux OEL 5 and RHEL 5". Make sure that you always use a 32-bit emulated shell (linux32 bash).
    Thanks,
    EJ
