Oracle Life Science User Group
The Oracle Life Sciences User Group (OLSUG) represents a worldwide association of people who share a vested interest in the successful deployment and use of Oracle products within the life sciences industry. The 8th International OLSUG meeting is designed to accelerate the success of users of Oracle products by providing a forum for sharing useful information and best practices, discovering novel and innovative practices, and exposing issues and limitations concerning Oracle products.
Meeting Format
The meeting will consist of exciting keynote presentations from industry renowned individuals. There will be workshops and discussions that are focused on topics of great interest, for example, the Semantic Web and database analytics. Oracle partners will be describing their latest offerings. In addition, there will be many presentations that have been selected to be of interest to scientists, application developers, architects and DBAs.
Submission Process
To be considered for a presentation, an abstract (max. 600 words) needs to be submitted by January 12, 2007 to OLSUG mailto: [email protected]

This month, member Jim Connolly will speak on “Document Management within Visual FoxPro.”
Abstract: I created programs that will create an electronic filing system. The programs read the bar codes from the invoices and files them in electronic storage. This allows the end user to view the documents with a single click in the app. I will show the
class how to setup the bar code reader and to accept individual scans for easy access. There are some recommended programs that will assist in the process. I will present them along with the Fox Pro program.
We need speakers for upcoming meetings. Please let Jim ([email protected]) know if you have something to share with the group.

Oracle Life science Data Hub integrated with OBIEE 11g

1. How Oracle Life Science Data Hub can be Integrated with OBIEE 11g.
2. Whether Oracle LSH is a separate software ? if it so kindly provide the link to download the LSH.

I do not know whether obiee can use Oracle LSH as a source or not but please refer below link. It says that
1) Users can then launch the Oracle Business Intelligence Dashboard
either through Oracle LSH or through a URL to see data visualizations.
2)
Oracle LSH Release 2.2 supports using OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1 for both programs and
visualizations and OBIEE 11.1.1.5.0 for visualizations only.

I can't say enough good things about Redmatica, and Andrea in particular.
I've found and reported a handful of issues I found in Keymap, and in each case I had the issue confirmed, and a new build sent to me at most within a couple of days, often much sooner, with the issue fixed. If only Apple were more like that...
Keymap is a stunning piece of software that, in conjunction with Logic (or other soft samplers) make creating sampled instrument content (almost) a pleasure.
Have a good one - do you video these sessions for people who can't attend..?

"This all day developer event will feature tips on developing with PDF as well as advanced JavaScripting techniques for Acrobat developers."
In my mind there is a big difference between an Acrobat developer vs. a LiveCycle (Desiger, Forms, Reader Extensions, etc.) developer. I wouldn't wnat to attend an Adobe Developer Day, expect to learn how to develop LiveCycle Designer forms and discover that the day focusses on Acrobat forms. Which is it?
Sometimes I find the flipping between "Acrobat" developers and "LiveCycle" developers on Adobe.com to be confusing; as I said in my mind, these are two different beasts (as has been stated several times in this forum, and has been the source for much confusion between "veteran" users of Acrobat Professional forms who are using LiveCycle Designer for the first time).
Perhaps you shed some light on this for me.

What's needed is at least 5 years of ongoing active Support (including emerging new Platform Versions).
If Sun/Oracle expects their clients to migrate to a new product, they should provide detailed migration information and usable migration tools (covering existing Components and Plans, inheritance, Dependencies and installation history data) to protect the substantial investments existing clients have made in the N1SPS framework.
Of particular interest for my client are the virtual host concept and modeling of dependencies over multiple hosts for application server (Oracle WebLogic) clusters.
I'm not sure if Sun/Oracle did fully understand the potential of N1SPS - especially for managing (their own) Middleware products - when they decided to EOL N1SPS.

check the script to start the iAS is having a variable called FORMS_PATH . If yes modify this. Also do an echo $FORMS_PATH after setting this.
Otherwise you can edit the profile or script which sets the ias env variable with FORMS_PATH.
Also check the value in the default.env which can be found in ORACLE_HOME/forms/server
