9.3.1 classic profile year description

Hi All,
Does anyone know of a way to change the year description in an HFM application profile file? It defaults to whatever the curret year is... e.g. Y#2008 will have description "- 2008". I want to give a description indicating a financial year e.g. Y#2008 with description "2008 - 2009" or something similar.

We use year as Fiscal Year, then we arrange the months to match our retail calendar. Now if you want actual period end dates to appear on your reports, that will cost you...but it is possible.

You can set up more than one device on your computer, and iTunes will remember the settings for each of them:

But you'll have to use your Apple ID to sync bought media to her device. Disable all other things you don't want to sync like photos, contacts, etc.

Security - Task Profiles - Task Description --- Where to be found?

Hello there,
I have been searching my fingers tips bloody! ... Many BPC 5.1 and 7.0 documentation, dont bother mentioning ANY Description for the any tasks under the task interfaces.
May somebody please post (copy / paste) DESCRIPTION, what exactly each TASK means and / or gives access to?! --- Security would like to know for certain!

thank you for your note. - I went back into the SAP Library File that came with the BPC 7.0 NetWeaver version. And surprisingly, there was no TASK PROFILE DESCRIPTION Table to be found. I went through every search result coming from the "TASK" search. No such table.
Do you mind taking a moment to Copy / Paste the table you referring to in the forum post here. Alternatively you may contact me through the profile contact.
Eitherway, It is highly apreciated, as I am not able to access a MS BPC Help File from here.

6500 classic-Profiles problem

I buy my Nokia 6500c and i am very happy and satisfied.But!!!My Profiles(General,Silent etc)settings are constantly going crazy.All the time,all tones that i assigned to some profiles are no longer assigned to same profiles and i must do that all over again...All Profiles settings from time to time are going to Nokia automatic settings...What should i do???My curent software version is 3.21 .Thanks

Full reset & formatting will surely erase data, but I don't think the codes will work on that phone because it works only in S60 series.
Try removing battery for 15mins & putting it back if it will solve the problem. If not install your pcsuites then go to internet & check if you have a software upgrade for your phone, & upgrade it thru software updater. This will surely install a fresh firmware in your phone resetting also to factory. But have a backup of your phone first by use of pcsuites.

HFM question - is it possible to change a Year's *description* in HFM?

Hi All,
Does anyone know if this is possible? I know a utility was released (Patch 8493825: service fix 11.1.1.2.4) to allow customers to alter the number of years in their applications, but is it possible to change the actual description of the year dimension members also?
For example, normally when selecting a year from the POV member selector, you'll see
2009 - 2009
2010 - 2010
2011 - 2011
in the list. Our customer wants to know if they can change this to something like
2009 - FY09/10
2010 - FY10/11
2011 - FY11/12
and so on. Is there a way to do this once the application is built?

This would be useful when the fiscal year is not the same as the calendar year. Example of customization:
Sep 2006 becomes Sep FY 2006/2007

Best way to switch from one iPod Classic to another?

Hi I have had a 120gb iPod Classic for years and I sync it to my login Profile/iTunes on my MacBook. Now I have a new 160gb iPod Classic and would like to do the following:
--Starting using the new iPod as the one that I sync to with my profile.
--Give the old one to my daughter or husband and have them start being able to put their stuff on my old iPod, using their own login(s). They could use either their own logins on my MacBook, or their logins on my husband's iMac. I'm running Lion and my husband has Mavericks.
Any tips on the easiest most hassle free way to do this?

When you delete the POP account, the email in it will be deleted. Move the emails either into your IMAP folder or move them to a new Mailbox you created in On My Mac section.

IPod Classic no longer showing folders unless I manually sync

I have had my iPod Classic for years, and am connecting it to my MacPro running 10.8.3 and iTunes 11.0.3. Have not had any problems with it until recently. I keep some of my playlists in folders, and have always only synced some of them (I have way too much in my library to sync everything). All the sudden in the last week my playlists in folders stopped showing up on my iPod. The folder shows up, but it is empty. My only solution has been to switch to manual syncing, and then the folder shows up and all the files within it (and they are already there). I have tried reformatting my iPod and resyncing, but the same problem occurs, and I have to revert to manual syncing, which is really bad when you can't break it off into it's own window.
Anyone have any ideas? this is really frustrating!

The only solution is o manually sync (which ***** now that you can't open multiple itunes windows) or to remove playlists from folders and they sync fine with my iPod. This only started happening recently so it must be some change in iTunes wity iPod classics.

Compatability issues with Windows 7 and Ipod Classic initially set-up w/ XP

When I opened my iTunes account for my iPod Classic 2 years ago, I was using Windows XP and could download from iTunes Store or load my own CDs and then sync to my iPod. Long story short: That computer crashed. I now use Windows 7 on both my new computers but while I can review the contents of my Classic, itTunes won't play any of the tracks when connected to my computer's USB. Nor can I sync purchases or downloads. Incidentally, attempts to review my Ipod in "computer" doesn't consistently show my iPod either. I continually receive the same message telling me that "iTunes.exe has been set to run in compatibility mode for an older version of Windows. For best results, turn off compatibility mode for iTunes before opening." I right clicked on iTunes, regarding compatibility, but it informs me that there are no previous versions available to do this. My warranty for technical or phone support has expired, so I am unable to speak to a representative. It sounds like other people are having similar problems with the newest version 11.1 of iTunes. Has anyone worked their way around this?

Since the music was originally ripped from CD, you should be able to put the iPod into disk mode http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1363 and transfer the music into your library without loosing anything.

Classic: will not recharge; apple logo flashes every few seconds then fades away; have tried the 'reboot' advice i.e. move hold switch on and off, hold menu and center button, no success. have tried this many times and kept connected for several hours.

Firefox using over 2 million k memory when using media player classic

Hi I have used Media player classic for years for videos but I have had this problem for over a month now when ever I watch a video with it with firefox open the memory usage of firefox max's out and locks the pc up now I have changed media player but I was wondering if there is a fix as I like media player classic

Do you really mean Media Player Classic? You should use the latest version of Media Player Classic Home Cinema. I've been using it for nearly a decade alongside Firefox with no issues. You have a 64-bit operating system, so be sure to get the 64-bit version.

Alert Profiles

Hi All,
I have a Issue with Alert profile the description of the same is under.
We have configured an alert profile to generate Alerts for 7 Months(future periods) and I have assigned the same to my Userid so that I can see the alerts in the Interactive Demand Planning screen.
When I call the Alerts screen from the Interactive demand Planning screen, I am able to see the alerts for all the seven months, however when I am checking the alerts from Alert monitor (/SAPAPO/AMON1), I am able to see alerts for only one month i.e the current month.
Can anybody suggest as to where I am going wrong?

Hi Raghu,
Check whether you have assigned any selection IDs in your Alert Profile. You generally do this along with the planning book / data view assignment in your alert profiles. If you have assigned a specific selection ID to your alert profile, only alerts generated for those selection data is displayed in your alert profile. In interactive planning, you can however see alerts generated for other data as well. It is probably this difference that you are seeing in your case.

Previous month year

I have 2 tables-> facts and facts1 and i have to create a "sale revenue - last completed month" metric based on the columns of the tables.
the formula on the metric right now is CASE WHEN ."Last Completed Month Indicator" = 'Y' THEN ("Sale Order Cost" +"Sale Order Cost Promotional Adjustment") / USD SPot Rate" END
i have another table "month year" which has a columns "previous month year key no" which is in the format 190001 ( january 1900) ,"previous month year description" , "previous month year name".
I need to use this previous month year column and put it in the metric above and calculate the revenue for last completed month. Can i do it???

Also are the fact tables partitioned? If they are partitioned AGO and TODATE functions cannot be used.
Is any of the fact tables aggregated???

2 year contract No More..?

My 2 year contract is up and I keep hearing about this NEXT program. I would like to say I AM NOT INTERESTED. My Question is this..Is AT&T done with the 2 year contract upgrades? I can't get free phone upgrades anymore..?

I was just on the phone with an AT&T associate.
As of June 2015, 2 year contract upgrades are no longer available in store or online. You can according the phone associate call and upgrade over the phone to use the classic 2 year upgrade option, which will result in you having to wait 2-3 business days to receive your phone.
AT&T has seen the rise in popularity with Tmobile's no contract plan and modeled their future accordingly. Until I see the numbers side by side from a 2 year upgrade and a 24 month installment plan, it is my impression that AT&T is gouging its customers and ignoring people with good credit. The main reason people use Tmobile is because of little or no credit and the ease of unlocking a phone. If you have good credit and don't need to unlock your phone, it seems as though one would be getting taking advantage of.
By AT&T doing installment plans they no longer have to recoup the price difference for the phone over a 2 year contract as you pay it all in installments. There is word of a plan discount when you enroll in the installment package, but is it more beneficial financially to customers with good credit or is it simply more money for AT&T?

PeopleSoft Job Profile JPM_TEXT_1325 - Bundle fix for version 9.1

Hi - We at Partners Healthcare in Boston, MA are in search for a fix on Job Profile LONG DESCRIPTION in PROFILE MANAGER - PeopleSoft Job Profile JPM_TEXT_1325. Is anyone familiar with the bug/fix around using this delivered field. We are on version 9.1, and believe the fix is in one of the bundles we may not have installed, and want to see if anyone out there is familiar with this issue,and the fix #. We've done substantial research and have not been able to locate it.

I tried to manually get back to 10.9.2 without using Timemachine and everytime I reinstalled the OS it would always take me back to 10.9.3. I ended up going to the Apple store (my MBP has AppleCare) and ask the Apple rep about this and was told that when you reinstall it will always have the most recent updates (in this case 10.9.3).
I ended up doing a backup of my MAC and leaving it with apple so that they could do an intensive diagnostic test. I was told it passed and HW is fine, so they wiped the HDD and reinstalled. I get it back today and will let you know how it goes.
Moral of the story; always use Timemachine, even before you turn on the device, have a USB drive (or similar) ready.

Terrible Ipod Classic Crash

I got my Ipod Classic last year on my birthday on the 29th of July last year, and it has never worked. It crashes when I try to connect it to my cpu, and it crashes my cpu itself. I can't open Itunes, altough songs keep on playing, and I can't open my computer file and such. So I'm guessing it just crashes everything that influences the Ipod Classic.
I've done EVERYTHING possible that I can do by myself, so please, don't give me any suggestions. I've followed all the system restores and I've called with Ipod support service. They directed me to an Apple store who also didn't know what to do with it so they told me to send it to Apple for repairations throughout the Apple support site.
But here's my problem:
When describing my problem, there isn't a catagory that covers my problem! What should I do?
(It took so long for my to do something about it because of personal issues, and I've got quite a fear for calling.)

I'm Dutch and perhaps regulations are different here.

Well, in spite of the fact that you have made it clear that you do not want any suggestions, I'm going to make one.
Do not try connecting your ipod to your computer, but try opening iTunes, what happens? Does iTunes open and if it doesn't do you see any message? If you do, what does it say? If you cannot open iTunes, have you tried re-installing it?
Which version of iTunes do you have? At the time of writing, iTunes 10.1.1.4 is the latest version, or 10.1.1 for 64bit machines.
Does your computer meet the minimum requirements to run iTunes? If you are using a 64bit machine, have you downloaded the correct version? See http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
... and of course, the suggestion is that you answer the questions, because frankly, as your post stands, it will be impossible to fix your problem or provide you with any useful guidance.
You might also consider telling us about the iPod. When you turn the iPod on, what happens? Do you see the *Main Menu* or a message telling the iPod has no content? If not, what do you see?
Notice that I have suggested that you keep the iPod and iTunes apart. That way, perhaps we can figure out which of the two is causing a problem. Once we know that, maybe we can fix it.
