9.3.1 to ????

All,
At present on 9.3.1 with EPMA
As Corporate is moving to IE8, I have to upgrade to
Mixed Release(9.3.3 all products except SharedService/EPMA/WorkSpace to 11.1.1.3)
or
all products to 11.1.1.3 (11.1.1.3 IE8 included all the products we use)
Which one is preferable?
From Oracle documentation:
For version 11.1.1.3, IE8 is supported only for: Shared Services, Performance Management Architect, Calculation Manager, Planning, Financial Management, EPM Workspace with Patch:9314073, Financial Reporting with Patch:9657652, Interactive Reporting, Web Analysis, FDM.)
Supported Upgrade Paths
You can upgrade to EPM System Release 11.1.1.x from the following releases and their associated maintenance releases:
9.3.x
9.2.1
9.2.0.3
can I upgrade directly from 9.3.1 to 11.1.1.3
or 9.3.1 to 9.3.3 and then 9.3.3 to 11.1.1.3?

Thanks for the suggestion.
To upgrade 11.1.2.1, I should be either on 9.3.3.x or 11.1.1.3.x
My servers retire in an year. can't efford new servers until then.
As a first step for migration I should move to either mixed release (9.3.3 + 11.1.1.3) or all to 11.1.1.3.
From 9.3.3, I can upgrade to 11.1.2.1. To move to 9.3.3, Any way I have to install few products of 11.1.1.3.
Is it worth upgrading every thing 11.1.1.3, instead of going through extra steps for Mixed release?

As I am on 9.3.1, does it mean I need maintenance release 9.3.3 as my iterim relase to upgrade to 11.1.1.3? or can I directly move from 9.3.1 to 11.1.1.3?
