9-pin s-video connector

I bought a second-hand MSI g4 Ti4200 TD64 with 9-pin s-video connector, but I have not the TV-Out cable. Could somebody send me a scheme of the cable or describe me function each of 9 pins? Thanks.

I got in touch with MSI yesterday, and they are sending me the cables for FREE
They'll ask for your card's serial number...
Alternatively, download the manual for the card, it shows the pinouts in detail for all the I/O ports...

Can I connect my iPad mini to a data projector using a lightning to 30-pin adapter connected to a 30-pin to VGA connector? Or will this only work with a lightning to VGA connector?

The lightning to 30 pin adapter does not support video as per the item description in the Apple online store:
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD823ZM/A/lightning-to-30-pin-adapter
This adapter lets you connect devices with a Lightning connector to many of your 30-pin accessories.* Supports analog audio output, USB audio, as well as syncing and charging. Video output not supported.
You will need to the Lightning to VGA adapter directly
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD825ZM/A/lightning-to-vga-adapter?fnode=3a
Or the Lightning Digital AV Adapter

If the projector supports HDMI input.

  • IMac external monitor video connector, huh?

Apparently, there are at least FOUR different types of video connectors in use these days.
WHICH one is used for External video on the iMac (tiny, rectangular) and is it analogue or digital?

Mini-DVI to VGA to connect to a computer monitor with a 15-pin VGA connector (also on some modern TVs).
Mini DVI to Video to connect to a television using composite video (RCA jack) or s-video (mini-DIN).
Mini DVI to DVI to connect to a monitor having a DVI connector.

  • DMP4400G S-Video-Connector

    Hi,
we have a problem with DMP4400G and S-Video/Mini-DIN Connector! Customer Cables are different from the S-video-connector on the DMP4400G!
Cable here in in Germany has shorter and thiner PINs, so S-Video-Cable and DMP-Connector are not correctly connected and result in loss of pictures on the attached screens!
Does anybody know if original S-Video-Cables are available from Cisco or an Manufacturer?

    Hopefully, this will help!

  • 7 pin s-video to 4 pin s-video

My laptop has a 7-pin s-video port. all my Tvs have 4-pin s-video ports. how do i make them work together?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Oh, a note:  If you don't need the extra signals (audio output typically), then just a normal 4-pin S-video cable is all you need.  A 4-pin plug will fit into a 7-pin socket.
If you need component video output, coaxial digital audio, or stereo analog audio, you'll need a laptop-specific dongle, usually from the laptop manufacturer.  There is no standard pinout for the extra pins added.

  • Video connector keeps disconnecting (Screen flickers on and off)

    Hi,
I bought a HP Pavilion Notebook 14-v054ca two weeks ago. Last week, the screen was flickering on and off, so I took it to the shop. They said the video connector was knocked loose and asked me if I dropped the laptop. The laptop is on my desk 24/7 and I have not dropped it once (I only had it for a week)! I have a warranty, so they replaced my laptop for me. Sadly, all my data was wiped, but hey, things happen.
    I digress.
Here I am with my second brand new HP Pavilion Notebook 14. I want to make sure the screen incident doesn't happen again, so I open and close the lid as gently as I can. Guess what. One week later, the video connector disconnected yet again. Is the 14-v054ca just a line of faulty, defective laptops? I hope that is not that case, because I love HP to death. I have an HP desktop and I am extremely satisfied with it. I don't want to trade this laptop in again just to have it happen a third time. It's an utter waste of time, and I lose my data every single time they give me a new one.

    Hello, @PongV2
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you've bought two notebooks and both have had an issue with flicker screen. That this was identified from where you purchased it as a loose connector.
To get assistance on this and to see what could be done for you on the issue, I recommend contacting phone support.

  • Will Apple make a 30-pin to lightning connector that will work with a case?

Why did Apple make the 30-pin to lightning connector useless when you have a case on your iPhone 5/5s? The lightning connector part isn't long enough to fit inside when using Apple's own cases (i.e. the new leather cases for the 5s). Does anyone know if there are plans to correct this mistake and lengthen the connector?

From the reviews on Apple's site, the cabled adaptor does NOT work with Apple's own case - the lightning plug is too fat :-(

  • IPod craddle with s-video connectors

    Hi,
I have seen an IPod craddle which had a s-video connector to it. Does that mean that I could connect the audio out to my amp and the S-video on my TV and then be able to see the ipod display on my TV? If so, can I then program a logitech remote to control the IPod and have a remote-controllable jukebox?
Thank you very much for your tips

I don't think that the iPod will display the menu etc on your tv screen. The use of the S-Video port is to display photos from the iPod on the tv.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. : )

  • 4-pin CPU-PWR connector on x99s SLI Plus

I'm attempting to install a Kraken x-61 cooler into my Corsair 780T case and the MSI X99S SLI Plus mobo.  One step says:
Connect the 3-pin power cable from the pump to the 4-pin CPU-PWR connector on the motherboard.
In the MSI x99S SLI Plus mobo and the manual (En-6) I can't find anything called CPU-PWR.  The 3-pin power cable fits into the 4-pin CPUFAN1 connector, but I don't know if that's the correct connection.  Could someone tell me where the CPU-PWR connector is on the MSI X99S SLI Plus motherboard?

it can be confusing to start with but you get used to it once you have done it a few times!
so yes connect it to the fan header for CPU as that line has a sense pin that will detect if your pump fails and will shut the computer off to prevent the CPU overheating to stop it breaking the processor! just take your time and anything your not sure of feel free to ask us!

  • Where can I find the pin-outs for 8-pin remote Hirose connector?

Where can I find the pin-outs for 8-pin remote Hirose connector?

Pin outs and wiring info is all in the Maintenance Manuals (same for all system cameras, F series, XDCAM etc.), - ask your local Sony Office if you want the info. The 8pin remote is for connection to the Sony RM-B150/170/750 remote control panels. For system cameras the same protocol is used between RCP panels, MSU, CCUs and camera heads. It is a proprietry system so extremely difficult to hack! The RM-B170 is the ideal panel to work with the PMW-F5/55. It will give basic painting control of R/B white & black painting, Master Pedestal, and Iris with the correct lens (Cabrio etc). It can also control remote Rec stop start.Regards, Clive. Sony ANZ.

  • How to control instrument switch through PCI-6503 & 50-pin I/O connector

    Hi, everyone:
I have a problem in controlling an instrument switch which switch position between zero point and measuring point every five minutes during experiment. The hardware used is PCI-6503 card & corresponding 50-pin I/O connector, cable and the software is labview.
The instrument manufacturer provide a cable(25-pol.SubD-plug male)for connection to computer(or DAQ board). The instrument manual showed the following pin assignment for this cable:
    25-pol subD-male pin assignment(TTL-level):
    meaning zero point measuring point
    Pin 9 MP L H
    Pin 7 ZP H L
    Pin 23 Gnd
    Pin 18 Gnd
    Pin 4
    Remote H H
    Pin 3 Weight1 H L
    Pin 2 Weight2 L H
    Pin 5 Gnd
    (weight1&weight2 is for calibration purpose)
I want to connect these cable pins to Port A(pin 33-47) of I/O connector and then using labview easy digital I/O "write to a single port.vi" to programming it. But I don't know how to connect these pins. For example, pin-5,pin-23,pin-18 is Ground, how can I realize it ? Do I need to connect other pins in 25-pol sub-D plug(besides above 8-pins) male to 50-pinvI/O connector or just leave it alone? Hope everyone give me idea. Of course, the detail is preferred since I have a good background in electronic.
Also I will be very happy if everyone have a labview programming sample in similiar application.
Thank you very much for help!
    Sincerely
    Jingjun

    Hello;
My understanding is that you need to connect each one of the GND pins to each one of the GND pins of the DAQ board. By doing that you will be creating the reference to the TTL signals being read on the DAQ board. The MP and ZP would go to any digital line of the preferrable Port and you should be good to go. As far as I'm concerned, you don't need to make any extra connection.
I don't know exactly what you are willing to do with the data but, once the data changes each five minutes, you don't need any speed digital application. If you take a look at the Labview shipping examples for 6503 doing read from 1 Digital Port.vi, you should be ok.
    Hope this helps.

  • Pin out for connector block - CB-50LP (50 pins)

    1. Need pin out designation for 50 pins connector block, for use in multifunction DAQ (6024E)
    2. Connections from 6024E to 68 pins connector block.

    1.  How are you connecting the 6024E to the 50 pin connector block?  Any special 68 to 50 pin cable or adapter should have a pinout that comes with it.  If you have an NI cable or adapter you should be able to look in that part's manual online at ni.com and find this pinout.
    2.  What specific 68-pin connector block are you using, is it an SCB-68?  For an SCB-68 the pins on the connector block are mapped to the same pin on the 6024E or any E-Series and most M-Series boards.  The pinout for the 6024E will be the pinout for the SCB-68.

  • 2nd 8-pin CPU power connector on Big Bang XPower

I am currently using both 8-pin CPU power connectors and am wondering if it is really necessary with my current overclock.  For all the BB XPower owners let me know your thoughts on this.

When doing early tests with the BB Xpwr, I only had a single 8 pin CPU connector ( PSU was single +12V Rail). Since it was not necessary but recommended, I purchase an 8 pin Y cord manufactured by Athena. It worked perfectly until I got a newer double cabled 8 pin PSU (Single +12V rail Corsair AX1200). I also supply power to the boards 6 Pin JPWR4. As Jack says, if the PSU has the connectors (or use the Athena), fill 'em up with power!

  • I CANT FIND A 4-PIN MINI MOLEX CONNECTOR

I installed a USB 3 interface. It requires a 4-pin mini molex connector. I have an available connector but it isnt long enough so I need an extension. I did and exhaustive internet search. Cant find it anywhere.
I would appreciate any help. Thank you.
    R

Look for a 4-pin molex to 4-pin mini molex converter.  That should fix the length issue (assuming you have an unused molex connector) since I do not believe an extension even exists for these types of power connectors in the first place.

Does anyone know what wire size the 776832-01 68-pin Custom Cable Connector/Backshell Kit connector's solder cups accept?
I need to create a custom cable but can not use ribbon cable connectors to do it so this is a promising alternative.
    Thanks for everyione's help.

    Hi Richard,
I looked at the specs for the custom cable connector and the maximum wire size should be 20 AWG.
