  • Downloaded song once on Ipad,  but didn't go to Iphone

    Hello:
I just downloaded a song on my Ipad.  Isn't it also supposed to be downloaded into Iphone and MacBook Pro without
my having to pay a second time?  Thanks

Zac, I think my problem stems from the fact that I had a mobile me account and when Icloud came along, I couldn't use that same address for Icloud.  So, now I still have my mobile me account, another aol account, and an Icloud account, with mail turned off, since I need a new me address.  Probably what I should do is delete an account or two and start from scratch.  I want to use my Apple ID for all.  Problem is that once in awhile Apple says I need a new password so when I change it, I get all fouled up.  That is the problem.
For a temporary solution, I just hooked up my I pad to my computer and synced like the old days.  Next, I just synced my Iphone 4 and now I have that song on all my devices.  I don't think it is on my Laptop yet, in fact, I know it isn't and that is all up to date.  Maybe I should plug the phone into that.  See what you think about all of this.  Thanks for your help.

  • Itunes song downloads are frozen in waiting, even though the songs are playable in my music on my phone.

Recently I have gotten a replacement Iphone 5c, because the first one had a swollen battery. I was having alot of issues syncing my music and in the end, i restored my computer to fix the issue. While my computer was restoring, i manually synced all of my music through icloud on my phone. I come to find out that 4 songs are basically frozen in the waiting stage to download. However when i go through the music IN my music on my phone, I can see the titles, and play them with no issue. The songs in order from top to bottom that are stuck are:
    1) Oops!...I Did It Again - Brittany Spears
    2) Party On - Blood on the Dance Floor
    3) The Shaggy Show - Insane Clown Posse
    4) Starstruck - Lady Gaga
There are no album artworks next to any of these titles. and i would like to get rid of these frozen downloads. Because no matter what I have done they won't go away. I have tried holding the home, and power button at the same time, shutting down my phone, and completely closing the itunes app. Nothing is working. Please help! because this is making me dislike apple, and Itunes more and more, because ever since i got this replacement phone, Apple and Itunes have been a nightmare for me to use.

You need to look in the top left corner of your song displayer where it says 'Album by Artist/Year' then click the arrow right beside it and click 'Album by Title' instead.

I too am facing this problem, however a little differently. I am in the process of uploading my vinyl collection to digital format in Audacity and am having this problem with multiple tracks when played in iTunes. The first few albums I ripped play just fine in iTunes, but the last few skip over about the last minute of every song and go to the next song. As you said, if you drag the time marker past the skipping point though, the rest of the song will play to the end just fine. I then synced these songs onto my iPod and they play perfectly straight through. I was leaning toward a bad mp3 encoding process that was maybe creating a glitch but I'm not sure at this point if they play correctly on my iPod. In quicktime the song will just stop playing at that specfic point, but if you hit play again, it will continue to the end. I can say though, I haven't seen this problem with any iTunes download, or ripped CD that I have ever put into iTunes (which makes my situation a tad different than yours), it's been purely the songs that I have imported via Audacity from LP's.

  • HT201272 I have songs that are waiting to be downloaded but never download

I have songs that are sitting in the purchased section of my itunes that say waiting to be downloaded , but they never download.

Try to delete them (swipe left or right and hit the remove button) and then re-download them. If that doesn't work then restart your phone.

  • I download songs from a CD but they do not show up in Search or list

In iTunes 11 (yes, the new iTunes *****), I download the songs from a CD and they do not show up in Search, under Songs, under Artist, etc. The songs show up the next day, however. All I can think of is that Apple is uploading my songs and won't show them in iTunes until they have done so. I would hope not, but I have checked all my settings and cannot find anything else that might be going on.

Well, I think I found the answer to my own question. Usually when I do a search, the songs show up in a list as I type. However, with a new song, I have to actually hit the return key to have it show up. Later, like the next day, it will show up automatically as I type, but songs new to iTunes don't.

  • How can I remove the 90 day wait until I can use a new Apple ID on iTunes?

I recently bought a like new MacBook Pro Retina that only had 16 battery cycles. It was sold to the person I bought it from in March 2013. he sent me the original receipt from the Apple store also.I contacted Apple and they helped me set up a new Apple Admin. account under my name and password. I purchased the extended Applecare under my name for this computer. All is ok there. It is running Mountain Lion 10.8.5 OS and it allowed me to do iPhoto update today.
I authorized the computer under iTunes and next to it said 83 days before I could use my Apple ID? I unauthorized the computers on my iTunes account for the three under them to clear them off. I reauthorized the MacBook Pro and it seems ok on the MacBook Pro. I went on my Windows laptop and the MacBook Pro was there with the 83 days wait again. So I took it off. Do I have to wait 83 days to use my Apple ID on this computer? I backed up my two iPads on iTunes today and that was fine as it showed them under devices. I am confused.
    Any help?
    Thanks.

iTunes Store: Associating a device or computer to your Apple ID
When you turn on iTunes Match or Automatic Downloads, or when you download past purchases on an iOS device or computer, that device or computer becomes associated with your Apple ID. This article describes how to manage these associations.
Your Apple ID can have up to 10 devices and computers (combined) associated with it. Each computer must also be authorized using the same Apple ID. Once a device or computer is associated with your Apple ID, you cannot associate that device or computer with another Apple ID for 90 days. You can view which devices or computers are currently associated, remove unused devices or computers, and see how long before they can be associated with a different Apple ID from the Account Information page in iTunes on your computer:
    Open iTunes.
Sign in to your Apple ID by choosing Store > Sign In from the iTunes menu.
Choose Store > View My Account from the iTunes menu.
From the Account Information screen, click Manage Devices.
Next to each device or computer name, you will be able to see when each was associated to your Apple ID. You will also be able to track how many days are remaining before your associated devices or computers can be associated to a different Apple ID.
Removing an associated device or computer from an Apple ID
To remove a device or computer from your Apple ID:
    Open iTunes.
Sign in to your Apple ID by choosing Store > Sign In from the iTunes menu.
Choose Store > View My Account from the iTunes menu.
From the Account Information screen, click Manage Devices.
Click the Remove button next to the device name you would like to unassociate.
Note: Removing a device from your Apple ID does not override the 90 day timer. The timer must complete 90 days from the day the device was associated before it can be associated to another Apple ID.

  • Waiting status - CD download

    Hi -
Recently took up Apple Match but am having issues with iCloud status hanging on waiting for nearly 200 songs downloaded from CD collection.  Some songs from these CD's have gone into the library so it seems really weird that it would pick out certain ones NOT to process.
Technophobic ijeeet here so would adore anyone that is able to do a step by step thing on how to resolve without wiping / reloading etc (struggling to move 'waiting' items into new playlist and other suggestions as per here thus far).
Is this an Match thing?  Is it worth the subscription fee if this can't be resolved?
    Thanks in advance
    J.

    Hi,
Not quite I follow your phraseology but if I understand you correctly, you ripped your CDs and are all in your itunes library. You subscribed to itunes match and all except 200 were matched or uploaded and are now in the cloud.
With regards the "Waiting" tracks what is their file format and bit rate? There may be a problem with one or more of those tracks which prevents match completing.
Firstly try holding shift key whilst turning off match. Close itunes then reopen. Turn on match, you will be asked to add this computer, do so. See if the process completes.
If you still have tracks "Waiting" you may need to delete them from your library and try holding shift key etc again. If the process completes, try readding those tracks back into your library, a small number at a time. This may be the only way to establish corrupt tracks.

  • Slow broadband and 10 day wait period

    Hi,
Maybe you can help me. I have moved to my new home and I have had the broadband active for about 5 days now. The download connection rate has never gone beyond 128kBps. The IP profile has stayed at 2Mbps. (I have BT Broadband unlimited option 3). The call to the helpline has basically suggested that I wait for 10 days and that I do not reset the router in the meanwhile. (If the modem can't get better than 128Kbps connection rate, the IP profile will never improve, in fact I expect it to go lower)
As far I can see the modem stats show a very high noise margin. I did initially directly connect to the master socket, removing the bottom plate and plug in the modem into that. That did not really make any difference to the datarate.
Here are the stats from the modem,  and the two results from http://speedtester.bt.com/

Results from the first tests at http://speedtester.bt.com/ was inconclusive and it suggested doing the third test
Download speeda chieved during the test was - 14 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 400-2000 Kbps.
     Additional Information:
     Your DSL Connection Rate :128 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 64 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 2000 Kbps
This test was not conclusive and further testing is required. This might be useful for your ISP to investigate the fault.
So here are the results from third test
Download speed achieved during the test was - 18 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 400-2000 Kbps.
IP Profile for your line is - 2000 Kbps
Your service was found to be performing poorly. Please raise a fault with your service provider, stating that the BT Performance Tester tool indicates poor service throughput performance after the third test
When I called the support line, they remotely logged onto my computer, accessed the router and fiddled with the wireless setting and told me to wait for a a few days. Impossible to get them to consider anything else. Maybe you will be able to escalate this for me.
    Thank you for your time.
    Regards
    Nirmal

    Thanks for your quick reply.
I did the quiet line test in the master socket, but I could not hear anything that's unusual. It was quiet!
So I plug the modem in the master socket and cheked the noise margin numbers again, no improvement.

It's possible that the message you got was to update the AirPort Express Base Station's (AX) firmware...and that something might have gone wrong during the upgrade.
Let's start by performing a "factory default" reset on the AX to get it back to it's original "out-of-the-box" condition.
Then, let's set it up to work with your cable modem...
AirPort Express Base Station Setup (AX) w/High-Speed Cable Modem
    Modem/Router Power ReCycling (optional)
    - Power-off the Cable modem, AX, & computer(s). (Wait at least 30 minutes. If possible, leave the modem off overnight.)
    - Power-on the Cable modem; Wait at least 30 minutes.
    - Power-on the AX; Wait at least 5 minutes.
    - Power-on the computer(s)
    Setup the AX
With the network components powered down, set up the AX, using the AirPort Admin Utility, either connect to the AX's wireless network or connect your computer directly (using an Ethernet cable) to the Ethernet port of the AX, and then, try these settings:
    AirPort tab
    - Base Station Name: <whatever you wish or use the default>
    - AirPort Network Name: <whatever you wish or use the default>
    - Create a closed network (unchecked)
    - Wireless Security: Not enabled
    - Channel: Automatic
    - Mode: 802.11b/g Compatible
    Internet tab
    - Connect Using: Ethernet
    - Configure: Using DHCP
    - WAN Ethernet Port: Automatic
    Network tab
    - Distribute IP addresses (checked)
    - Share a single IP address (using DHCP & NAT) (enabled)
Do not, at this point, set up any security (i.e., WEP/WPA encryption, closed network, etc.) to first make sure the AX is operating properly. Try to access the Internet wirelessly with your MacBook. If you're successful, go ahead and add any security features you wish.
