  • Error "907 invalid COD" occurs when trying to upgrade my Blackberry App World.

Hi there. My name is Molopi Mashinini and I'm using a Blackberry Bold Touch 9900. My problem is that I'm struggling to upgrade my Blackberry App World, before it downloads the application, it gives me a message saying that there's a module that already exists on my phone and that its going to be replaced. When the downloading process get to the end at 3137kb, it gives me an error message that says 907 invalid COD. Now I don't know what to do because even the Blackberry Application icon doesn't give me an option to delete it. Please help me because I can't even download or upgrade the applications on my phone.

    timmyKLB wrote:
I'm still getting the same error message when I try to download the application and I still can't delete the application from my phone because it doesn't give me an option to delete it.
Yes, I think we've discussed that more than once.
    timmyKLB wrote:
I tried all the step you gave me. Nothing seems to be working.
And I still cannot tell exactly what that means (refer to the first half of post 6 above).
    timmyKLB wrote:
My main problem is that under the application list, I can't find the delete option for the application on the menu button.
Yes, we've discussed that as well a few times. Yet you have left me completely in the dark regarding how the use of the Desktop Software worked out.
    timmyKLB wrote:
I'm even thinking of giving up because I followed all the steps but I just can't seem to delete the application.
That would be a choice only you can make. It would so greatly help me to help you if I could understand your situation better, most especially the precise results of the things I ask you to try. But, your responses continue to be so very general and vague, with multiple interpretations possible from your words, that I cannot understand how those things work out. Consequently, I am at a loss as to how to help you. I need to understand in order to help you, yet your words do not help me to understand, no matter how many times I seem to ask you for clarification. So I am even more lost than you are.

  • Help, download error "907 invalid COD"

Ok, my service provider is AT&T.  There technical support for any problem is to take the battery out and put it back in.  My original red curve had only one game I downloaded on it and I managed to drop it into my big cup of coffee, not my brightest of moments. Using my insurance, i received a new phone, when trying to download a jad file game from at&t i received an error "907 invalid COD". At&t could not find a soution. They stated it was a software issue and overnighted me a refurbished phone.  Unfortunatly I receive the same error messege and will have to call them again.  Does anyone know what the problem is in order for it to be an issue with 2 seperate phones and three different games??  In order to even try to redownload, the phone goes through the same purchasing process each time and bills my cell account.

I cant even use my blackberry world. Please I need help and I have enough Data on my fone to download. Also I use MTN network. Thank you.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
    2) Resend Service Books (pre-BB10 devices only)
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
    3) Reboot
With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.
    Good luck!

  • 907 Invalid COD

I have been struggeling for weeks with a game download from a 3rd party app that I purchased.
Everytime I go to the link provided, I get Error: 907 Invalid COD.
Naturally, I took the game site on first, who in turn took on the game developer. They sent me a different link to download from. Sadly it doesn't work either, so they suggested that there must be some or other faulty setting on my handset, as there is in fact nothing wrong with the game.
How can I download that game?

    Hi Tessavicki27,
Well I had tested its working, are you downloading it in your work PC or a Home PC,Try it again in your Home PC also disable antivirus and firewall and see if it allows.
Well if all fails perform your full backup and then reload your device OS using Application loader  have a look :    KB29847 .
Try it and let us know.

  • Error code 907 invalid jar not found

For those of you that are having trouble with error code 907 invalid jar not found or invalid jad not found. After following all the help available on the Blackberry site to no avail, the cause of the above error codes was a web site down problem. It turns out that when you try to download the blooover.jar or the blooover.jad files to your phone you get the error message 907 invalid jar or jad file not found due to the www.bluejack.ru web site being down. Any other .jar or .jad file that I tried was not a problem.

    Good!
Still, glad you got it settled. There are even several knowledge base articles here on that exact error code as well as the many posts in the forum explaining what it is.

  • Problems with Storm 9530 after software update

Greetings, I am new to this forum and hope I am in the right place.
After an email prompt from BlackBerry, Yesterday, I updated my software on my Verizon BlackBerry Storm, 9530.
    Now I have several problems;
    1.  Voice commands are not being recognized as easily as previously, making hands free calling almost impossible.
    2.  Pandora will stall near the end of each selection.  The song will resume after I push the pause and then the play button.
    3.  When I attempt to live stream from a local radio station, I get the following message: "! This playlist contains no valid songs"    Buffering... is displayed in the upper right hand corner, but no connection is ever made.
Any ideas what I need to do to fix the thing?

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
    1) A known bug...we all hope that RIM is working on a fix.
    2) A known bug...Pandora is working on a fix. I have heard that it is available on their website but not yet via AppWorld.
    3) Very difficult to diagnose...it could be the website itself...it could be your device browser settings....it could be a number of things. Try these steps.
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot.

    Dial *228, select option 2
    Register HRT:

    Resend Service Books:
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Websites can be coded to perform better with some browsers rather than others. The BB Browser can appear to websites as several different things...that setting is, from within the Browser App, (BBKey > Options > Browser Configuration > Browser Identification). Changing that to another browser might help your BB interact better with some websites. In combination with all of the other configuration settings, you need to find the combination of all of these settings that works best for the sites you are visiting. Sadly, there is no "best advice" to give as each persons needs are different. But, I typically find that changing the Browser Identification often helps -- most often by changing to FF or IE (if those are available to you...the options vary by carrier).
Hopefully something in there will get you going again.
    Good luck!

  • Storm 9530 problem. Shutting Down on full battery

Hi, I have a storm 9530 which has worked alright for me for a little over a year now. Then one day my phone started shutting down on me in the middle of any kind of use. To be more specific if I am on the phone making a call, I can go no longer than 10-20 minutes before my phone shuts down on me on a full battery! It will be at 100% then when I start to do things like make a phone call, or do some texting for 10-20 minutes none stop, use an app of any sort for more than 10 minutes, basically any kind of extended  use and my phone will shut down on me. Then it will start to reboot and sometimes it will turn back on but then will have only 20% battery or other times it can't even start back up until a battery pull and being plugged into a charger. Now I have my phone almost always on a charger whenever I need to use it and it is getting really annoying having it shut down all the time. The phone does get hot at times when running these apps, music, phone call etc...What is going on here?? Has my phone gone bad? Do I just need a new battery? I am running the v5.0.0.328 (platform 4.2.0.128). Please HELP!!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
All of the diagnoses you have mentioned are possible. But, further testing is needed to determine which is correct. I suggest you find a known-good battery -- preferably one from a friend with the exact model BB you have who is not presenting these symptoms. Trade batteries. If the behavior follows the battery, then the battery is the cause and you should obtain a new one. If the behavior remains with you, then your BB is the cause...but what part of the BB is yet to be determined.
To find out what part of the BB is the cause, there are several possible diagnostic processes you can go through. Specifically, you need to isolate if the problem is hardware or software (e.g., 3rd party app conflicts). The cleanest way to determine that is to completely replace your device OS with a new fresh copy and leave all add-ons off. Then start putting add-ons back, leaving adequate time for usage between each add-on install. Once the behavior returns, you then know your culprit.
    Hope that helps!

  • My storm 9530 is showing a red light ..HELP ME PLEASE !!!

My storm  9530 is showing a red light about 7 seconds and cuts off i am not even seeing anything  like a missing battery or the blackberry  reboot  on the screen.after. when i connect it to my PC it dose  the same thing but i keeps doing it over and over.

I'm sorry, but I don't think I fully understand what you said there. And I did use the word "accidental"...I did not mean to imply any intentional damage done by anyone.
Are you saying that the original problem you reported (not being able to boot up) existed before you had any work done on the device? If so, then that actually complicates matters even more -- having changed out so much of the internals of the device may have, as I say, damaged something further. Or, it is also possible that the parts you replaced caused no additional damage and are functioning fine -- but they simply did not include whatever it was that was originally damaged/failed.
I also do not understand what you say about "did just that"...I cannot tell if that means you did the battery swap as I recommended, nor what the specific results were if indeed you conducted that test. For example, specific results from a battery swap could include:
Both devices work fine with either battery
The original device still does not work with the other battery, but the other device works fine with the battery from the original
The original device works fine with the other battery, but the other device does not work with the battery from the original
Etc, etc. etc...there are several variations of possible results, and the specific result from each device using the other battery is what provides the clearest indication of if the battery is causal or not. But, from your words, I do not understand your specific results...I'm sorry that I'm not understanding you.
Nevertheless, if your battery swap test result is as described in item 2 above, then that indicates a hardware problem with the device itself. And again, at an internet distance, hardware issues are nearly impossible to diagnose -- nothing can replace in-hand evaluation by a qualified technician.

  • Storm 9530 Personal Email Setup Option not there

I recently just bought an unlocked Blackberry Storm 9530. I am new to the Blackberry OS. I put in my SIM card and texting and calling works fine. I am trying to use my Yahoo email on the device but I cannot configure it. When I go into Email Setup, there is no option for "I want to create or add an email address" but only "I want to use a work email account with the BlackBerry Enterprise Server". I don't have an Activation code so I am look for the option to add a personal email. The problem is that it is not there to select. What should I do?

You need a specific BlackBerry data plan on legacy devices. If you do have it, then for some reason you didn't get the service books. If you don't, then once you add it you will receive the service books and then have the capability to set up Internet email.
Contact your mobile service provider. Either add the BlackBerry plan if you need it or else have your service provider check your account if you are supposed to have the plan already.  And your provider can resend service books if that is what is needed.
