hi all im new to here and looking for some help i have just got a sceond hand bb and it dint have appworld on it so when i tryed to download it it came up with this 910 application authorization failure and am not sure y can anybody help me out thanks

From the Error message it seems that an IT policy has been enabled on the Device.As you had brought it second hand to resolve the problem you had to remove the IT policy from the device .So to do that follow this Knowledge Base :
KB14202 : How to remove an IT policy from a BlackBerry Device.
Try any of the Method suggested in Knowledge Base to remove the IT policy from the device.Additional Information regarding the error :KB12230

Hi, I just bought a Torch 9800 second hand and I have a big problem right now, I can download any application, I still have a failed installation error 910! I obviously look good on the forums, it gave this:

The article you've posted indicates an IT policy is causing the problem with the application installation. Does your BlackBerry® smartphone show an IT policy listed under Options>Security>Security Status Information?

910 authorization failure

I have a blackberry bold 3 and every time i try to download any application a 910 authorization failure error appears.....what can i do to fix this problem

Hopefully it contains something useful! There also are multiple existing threads on this site that discuss that exact error...your review of those might prove useful, and a search of this site, using the error message, error code, or symptom, should reveal all applicable existing threads to you.

SMS through Midlet -- Authorization Failure

Hi,
I have written a small Midlet that sends an SMS. When I run the MIDlet in Wireless Tool Kit , I am getting "OTA Error Code (49) - Application authorization failure. [javax.microedition.io.Connector.sms]".
I have added the permission for "javax.microedition.io.Connector.sms". I don't know what's else to do.
Could some please help!!!

I have reset both my torch and playbook back to original only thing that I kept was my contact. And still problems I am a few min away from leave my loved blackberry and going android !! Or heaven help us Phone
Issues 1) playbook wont connect to desktop manager anymore
2) Play book has 2 calendar icons with two different settings on them ??? I have one that is currently working with my yahoo email and calendar account.
3) my Phone when connected to desk top software shows the calendar as read only

Did you try to eboot the your PC or laptop where your device is connected ?
I experienced this with my windows laptop, after a failed to do an update, I restart the laptop and my Torch, then retried, and it's worked

Partner application authorization model missing

We have written our own portal using j2ee technologies. Based upon user identity, we construct a launch pad for the applications that a user has authorization to. It have 260 different applications.
We want to migrate to Oracle Portal. I would like to make each of these applications a partner application. They all share the same user repository.
The problem is that Oracle does not have a user to Partner application authorization model.
I could encapsulate all the applications as portlets, then Oracle portal would be able to manage the authorization to the portlets. To do this would be a major effort, changing thousands of JSP's and classes that render links. But this is not possible if they are just partner applications.
I know, Oracle is going to say "Portal is just a launch pad, it does not handle menuing of individual applications. That is the individual application's responsibility."
THIS does not apply. I thought long and hard on this issue. I am not asking Oracle Portal to take over menuing of an application, rather, I am asking it to be a launchpad to my 260 different applications, and to provide the facility that would allow the assignment of user and groups to execute partner applications.
One thing I may have to do is on the initialization of the partner application is to make a call back to the login server and check whether they are authorized to use the partner application.
There is a big difference between authentication and authorization.

Did you try checking the partner application entries on the SSO-login server page?
please login as orcladmin or some other user with membership in, i beleive, iasadmins group. verify that for this partner application, what you see here corresponds to the application URL. it looks like your login page call may have issues. so check for login url too.
also check the ORASSO.WWSSO_LS_CONFIGURATION_INFO$ for entries corresponding to Apex application.

When I try to open any Appleworks 6 file I get "Application Launch Failure"

When I try to open any Appleworks6 file, I get an "Application Launch Failure" message. It then referes to a "shared library error":

First you must get a BIS account from your carrier then you register your phone on the network. Do you have a proper BlackBerry data plan (BIS) on your account? If not, you'll need to call your carrier to get it set up.

"Create PDF from Web Page" Yields Authorization Failure

Acrobat 9 Pro Extended running on Windows XP Service Pack 3:
When using "Create PDF from Web Page," certain linked pages result in an "Authorization Failure" error message. Is there any way to instruct Acrobat to disregard pages that are not downloadable and continue creating the PDF?

I am having the same issue AND none of my pages or files require a UserID or Password. My issue appears to be something with the domain because a and b work just fine and produce a PDF file while item c does not work and produces the error msg.

Create PDF From Web Page - Authenticated SharePoint Sites generate "Authorization Failure" error

We have several authenticated sharepoint sites on our intranet, and we are trying to create a PDF of a site (x levels down) using the Acrobat create PDF from web page feature. When you try to create a PDF from a non-sharepoint, authenticated website, a login prompt appears asking for login credentials. However, when you try to use the same feature on an authenticated sharepoint site, you do not get prompted for credentials and instead get an Authorization Failure error. the popup says "Error: Nothing Done". We have successfully PDF'd anonymous sharepoint sites on the WWW. Has anyone successfully PDF'd an authenticated SharePoint site?

ADF Mobile Client: How to deploy application data to blackberry simulator

If anybody knows how to deploy application data to blackberry simulator then let me know.
I have developed one small application then i have published data and deployed appliction but when i run it on simulator it gives me following exception

One more question when we publish the data that time only it is copyed to MOBILEADMIN (Oracle Mobile Server Repository) schema or we need to do it manually.

Try searching following file
BB_ADFNMC_Bindings
and all files with BB_ADFNMC_*
these are approx 10 files , copy all of them into simulator folder inside RESERCH IN MOTION folder
or load these through simultor->File->Load Blackberry Application .

Application Launch Failure error when launching various apps

When trying to open several different apps, an error message "Application Launch Failure" displays. The text of the message is:
The application "Flash Professional" could not be launched because of a shared library error: "<Flash> <CarbonLib> <CFMPriv_OpenScripting> "
The application listed depends on the one I am trying to launch. For example, when I try to launch Word the message is:
The application "Word" could not be launched because of a shared library error: "<Word> <CarbonLib> <CFMPriv_OpenScripting> "
I have not made any recent changes to my system and do not know how to resolve. Any suggestions?

I am having the same issue with my Mac Power PC G4. "The application Excel could not be launched because of a shared library error: 2<application><CarbonLib><CFMPriv_LaunchServices>"
I was reading your advice above. I don't have Leopard yet, so I was hoping there was a way to fix this problem with out moving to Leopard.
Also one more thing. This problem started after I did the newest Safari update. Not sure if that has anything to do with it, just thought you might need to know that.

in case you have not yet set up your monitoring infrastructure, the following link will provide you with the information needed:

If everything is set up (Agents are installed and connected to your central monitoring system, ...) you can go to transaction RZ21, select Technical Infrastructure - Configure Central System - Assign Central Autoreactions to set up your alerts.
For the Update errors use the MTE CLass AbapErrorInUpdate. For the Lock please use the search Option.

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive & clear caches.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
If that doesn't help...
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when trying to open AW6.

Application Launch Failures after Update: shared library error

Soon after installing the latest Security and Operating System Updates, I discovered that I could no longer run Microsoft Office. I get the following error message when attempting to open any of the components: Application Launch Failure The application "Word" could not be launched because of a shared library error: "3<Microsoft Word><CarbonLib><CFMPriv_CommonPanels>" I have tried reinstalling the updates but it hasn't helped. I can't reinstall Office because the same error message comes up when I try to open the Microsoft installer. Can anyone help? I'm stuck. Thanks.

It's somewhat confusing. The folder /System/Library/Frameworks/Carbon.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/CommonPanels. framework
contains 3 items, a gray screen marked Common Panels with a small arrow pointing to the lower left edge, a folder marked Versions (which holds folders marked A and Current), a folder marked Current (which has a small arrow pointing to the lower left edge and holds a gray screen marked Common Panels and a folder marked Resources) and a folder marked A (which also contains a gray screen marked Common Panels and a folder marked Resources. When I click the gray screen marked Common Panels, I get a message that there is no default application specified to open the document "CommonPanels".
I'm not sure what all that means. Are there too many Common Panel screens? Does the small arrow have any significance? I've also discovered that, in addition to not being able to run Office, I can't install any new applications (same CarbonLib error message). If you think I need to archive and install the System, I can try to do so.
