925 sometimes doesn't charge fully

I have a Lumia 925 on ATT and since I've had it I've noticed that sometimes after charging overnight or for long periods of time it will read that it's only charged about 83%. If I reboot the device when it starts back up it will go back to read 100%. Has anyone else seen this problem with their Lumia and, if so, does anyone have any solutions?
I am running GDR3, but this issue happened way before I installed the update. I am not using a wireless charger. It doesn't happen every single time. Maybe once or twice a week.
I have also posted this issue in the WPCentral forums and others seem to have the same issue with this device.

My phone don't have this issue. I use few Battery monitor apps and they show correct reading and battery percentage for me. I am not sure but could be the AT&T version 925 having issues.
I use Battery sense and Battery app, both third party apps. Check with either one of them and see you see the same problem. Good luck.

  • Z30 sometimes doesn't charge, charging indicator behaving erratically

I have had a Z30 for 2 months now, and from the start it had the following problems:
    - Charging indicator visible even though charger not connected
    - Charging indicator not visible when charger is connected
      - In this case, sometimes the Z30 would charge, sometimes it wouldn't - visible only after some time (battery charge level going up or down)
    - Occasionally not charging at all, whatever I do (using original BB charger). Only phone restart reliably helps in this case, but only for a day or so.
    - "Device monitor" consistently doesn't show anything for battery, CPU, or memory (RAM) usage, i.e. nothing about operational staus of the device. Applications loaded to flash memory are the only items shown.
This has become more of a problem lately. Especially the fact that I can't tell if the Z30 is charging is really annoying - when I connect the phone to a charger before going to bed, I want / need a phone that is fully charged the next morning. With my Z30 it is hit and miss.
    Any suggestions ?
    Thanks

    So, to clarify for me...
When your Z30 is connected to the OEM wall outlet charger, you do not see on the screen the small upper left yellow charging symbol (electrical/lightning icon)?
When your Z30 is DISconnected from that charger, that yellow charging symbol appears?

  • My iPad mini doesn't charge sometimes, and if it charges it only can charge to 92% then stops.

At most time, my iPad mini doesn't charge at all. I have searched the problem on Internet, somebody says it is about the temperature, but the weather of the place I live ain't that cold. Once it can charge, it can only charge to 92% everytime. Someone to help me solve it? iOS 6.0.1!

Thanks, I'm use to apple products displaying a electric plug ensuring that it switched to ac mode.

  • IPad doesn't charge all the time

Ipad doesn't charge all the time

Could be the charger, cable or iPad. Plug the USB cable into your computer. It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good.
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. • MacBook Air (Mid 2011) doesn't charge

I have a MacBook Air (Mid 2011) and it won't charge the battery when I plug it to the wall adapter.
No matter what i do the light on the L shaped connector magsafe doesnt light up.
After a few tries, a few minutes, or even a few hours it just works..and I don't know why, or what to do to make it work all the time.
I tried resetting the SMC (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964), followed every step, but it doesn't help.
I dont know if the problem is in the MagSafe Power Adapter, or if it is in the MacBook Air MagSafe Connector.
Here is a video of me trying to connect it to the Power Adapter without success:
    http://youtu.be/3rRko1VncoE
Then 30 minutes later it is working again:
    http://youtu.be/j4x3YxWZzAA
This time was 30 minutes, but there sometiimes is much, much longer before I get it to work..
    What sloud i do?
My mac is still in the warranty period. If i take it to an Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP), will they change the faulty component for free?
(Where I live, in portugal, there are no official Apple Stores..so i can't go to one).

Guess I need to go to the Apple Store
I did not have the same problem again..don't know why, but here is what I think:
The mac doesn't charge because it doesn't recognise the charger or the other way around..
Last time this happened I just let the computer connected to the charger, and the charger plugged in the wall, and left it there overnight. The next morning it was fully charged, with the green light on the connector.
After this, there was only 2/3 times that when I plugged the charger it wouldn't do anything, so I just started working normaly on the mac and after a few minutes it started to charge. That first time it took 30 minutes to start. On another ocasion it only took 2 minutes. And after that was just a few seconds. Now it is behaving normaly. When I plug it, the connector turns green after 1/2 seconds.
So, if you have this problem, try just leaving it there..while you work on it, or while you sleep. It seems eventually it will start working. In my case it "solved" the problem, as it isn't happening anymore.. (I hope forever..)
It's not really a solution..but if it works for you too, great! Good luck!

2nd Gen iPod Touch Doesn't Charge at all, not on pc or mac or wall or anywhere. I need the information on it, last time it was backed up was 2 years ago, cracked glass and bad headphone jack. can Apple help me get my info out of it? it is out of warranty, can i pay to have it fully recovered as if it never died?

Try connecting it for a charging source for 24 hours.
    Then try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Then see if iTunes can see the iPod so you can get info from it
    - Inspect the dock connector for bend or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.

  • Battery doesn't charge

a few weeks ago I left my mbp on standby without any power for 3 or 4 days; naturally the power ran out and it died. when I came to re-start it, I plugged it in and it resumed fine. the same thing then happened again a few days later, although this time it didn't 'wake-up' but had shut down completely, although it started up fine as soon as I plugged it in.
however, since this happened my battery won't accept charge and is permanently at 0%, or -2147483648% according to slimbatterymonitor!
the magsafe connector has the green light lit and the battery icon has the plug icon in it, but it just doesn't charge-up. as soon as the power is removed it dies as there is obviously no power left in the battery.
I have tried re-setting both the pram and the smc several times, neither of which have resolved the issue. I have also tried to use coconut battery; however it just crashes after a few seconds of starting up.
any help would be very much appreciated - thanks

If you can run with the power adapter attached then it is an indicator that there is something else wrong. You could have a bad component on the logic board. If you have Apple Care then take it back to an Apple Store. Otherwise you will need to find a repair shop that will fix it at the component level. Apple would change the logic board and that is big $$$. Your local Apple Store should have a list of local vendors that can do repairs.
There were times that I had a local vendor that was Apple authorized do my repairs and I could usually get the Mac back sooner.

  • Win 7 (Sony Vaio) Battery Doesn't Charge

I have a Sony Vaio VPCEB11FM notebook with Win 7 64 and suddenly the battery doesn't charge. During shutdown, Win 7 was installing updates and before it was done it went off.
After that Win 7 doesn't recognize the ac adapter plugged in and the battery doesn't charge.
The updates downloaded are not running or installing.
I have tested the ac adapter and battery on a laptop exactly like my one. And it worked just fine.
There are no updates available for battery from manufacturer.
The charging light is off when i plug the ac adapter.
The laptop works without battery, but plugged in ac adapter.
    Plz, helpppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp...

    Hi
I've had a number battery problems to do with rapid
discharging and not charging properly - the batery was nearly new and previously had 3 hours life before an update ... Sony Support
have been worse than useless ... In case it helps (given that your problems started after your Windows 7 update) - my
problem was not the physical battery (or BIOS or drivers or a number of other things I checked) but the Sony VAIO battery management software which stopped working after I installed the 64-bit Windows 7 update Service Pack 1 (SP1).
There may be no harm in just trying to re-install the Sony VAIO Battery Checker software - it worked for me ... To do this, run
the VAIO Care Recovery and Restore programme (from the start menu), use the Recovery option  - Reinstall Applications and Drivers – and re-install the Battery Checker
    (tick the check box option).
    Hope this helps :)
Here's the full detail of what happened to me in case others have similar problems:
Warning to all 64-bit Windows 7 users:  Do NOT install Windows 7 SP1 !!!!!   If you do and
the Sony VAIO battery management software ruins your battery, Sony Support won't replace it but blame Microsoft instead.
After I installed the Windows 7 update for SP1 my battery performance died - the battery would
discharge from 100% to zero in only 52 minutes
(it was nearly 3 hours before installing SP1).  In a specific timed test for Sony Support the battery took 47 minutes to discharge to 50% and then rapidly discharged from 50% to zero in the following 4 minutes.  In
all tests I performed the machine did not ‘turn off’ but crashed as if the battery had been ripped out, prompting a safe-start by windows each time.  From zero charge, the battery was re-charging to 100% charge in about 20 minutes.
Sony Support were useless, so I started to read many technical discussion forums online and found that hundreds of Sony users
have the same problem with battery performance with no solution.  Many discussions online have led back to a wrong idea: that the Microsoft Windows system drivers –
    battc.sys and
compbatt.sys – used for Microsoft Composite Battery management are too old to be 64-bit versions.  This idea is because the Microsoft driver information
displayed in the Device Manager window shows a driver date of 21/06/2006, before Windows 7 64-bit was deployed.  However the actual hidden driver files in the Windows System folder (version 6.1.7) are dated 14/07/2009 and are indeed 64-bit versions.
I found this after I spent hours looking for new versions of the drivers and when I couldn’t find any mention, let alone new versions, I then checked the actual file properties myself and discovered the Microsoft drivers are fine (even though there is
a Microsoft Windows 7 error displaying the date using Device Manager).  Similarly, a number of people have updated their BIOS with no change to the problem (so I'm leaving that alone).
I then investigated other ideas – and eventually checked that the version of VAIO Power Management and Battery Checker
VAIO (part of the Sony Notebook Utilities exe) for my machine (VPCEB3C5E).  The latest versions I could see online (Sony sites) all appear to be the same versions as those already installed on my machine.
However, I tried one final, simple action and it fixed my machine:
I used the VAIO Care Recovery and Restore programme
    (from the
    start menu),
selected the Recovery option – Reinstall Applications
and Drivers – and re-installed the Battery Checker (check box option).
This fixed the problems with the battery management
where the machine suddenly crashes without adequate warning when the battery is discharging. The
battery now shows a steady discharge from 100% down to zero (remember, before it discharged quickly down to 50% and then from 50% to zero in the last 4 minutes). It also charges back up at a steady (safe) rate rather than rapidly.
Unfortunately, my battery is now damaged but Sony Support do not want to know.  In
the several weeks while the Sony software was not working properly the battery had been rapidly re-charged, over-charged and is now damaged.
The previous battery life of over 2.5 hours in normal use (let alone test conditions
doing nothing) has been reduced to less than an hour since the 64-bit Windows 7 SP1 installation.
     Things
cannot still be fully correct with the Sony battery management software because the
    battery health status in the
VAIO Control Centre is still displaying
    GOOD.
So Sony Support will not replace the battery, even though previously they contradicted themselves by saying I had to run industry standard tests - now when the tests show the battery is faulty Sony then go back to relying on
software that was the cause of the problem.  Unbelievable !!!
Moreover, the Sony European Support guy escalated my case (5568077) and the response he got was this is a Windows 7 issue and
not a Sony problem ... Therefore, should I ask Microsoft for a new Sony battery even though it was the Sony software at fault?  Even more unbelievable by Sony !!!!!!
So, all Sony VAIO Users - don't install Windows 7 SP1 and expect Sony Support to help.
Most of all - when the Sony VAIO battery management software ruins your battery, don't expect Sony to replace
    it.
And now for a bit of a rant to make me feel better ... This was the first time I've bought a Sony - I've had dozens
of Dells over the years but thought I'd try a VAIO for a change ... Given my recent experience guess what my next machine will be?  Sony may be making a small financial loss since the Tsunami and online PSP gaming / hacker problems, but with service like
this their VAIO losses will also be significant in the future - Sony just don't get that customers pay for and expect service when we buy a machine ... Idiots!
    Cheers RB, England

  • When I connect my iPad to my windows 7 computer it syncs alright but doesn't charge. Has anybody have any answers. Thanks.

Hi can someone please let me know why my ipad2 syncs but doesn't charge. I'm using windows 7.

  • My battery doesn't charge very well anymore, can i get a new one/

my battery doesn't charge very well, can i get and install a new battery?

Your post say "my battery doesn't charge very well",
Does it goes to full charge after 4 hours, or 1 hour, a battery that goes to full charge in 1 hour, is a dying battery, as it be totally flat in 20 mins. So if you can get your battery fully charge then monitor how long it takes to discharge playing music (36 hours) or video (6 hours)
That will be a measure of the health of your battery, compared to iPod tech Spec.
If your battery can't be fully charged
Are you charging it off a wall charger or via a PC?
Can you try charging via a high power USB 2.0 port, on most Computer there are some low power USB port, that don't have enough juice to charge a high drain device like the iPod.
And it is a NoNO to try charging via a USB Hub or the Mac Keyboard USB port, these do not have the power.

I have the first gen iShuffle (1GB) & it's been working perfectly ever since I bought it last year but after updating my iTunes to 8.1 last week it doesn't charge nor play my songs in my iShuffle, it plays them in my Library but not on my iShuffle.
I don't know why or what's the problem? because my iShuffle still works when I remove it from my computer, it's just when I try to play it on my comp it doesn't work.
    what should I do?

The usb port is directly on your macbook. Some people have usb hubs which plug into the usb port to multiply the number of usb devices you can have. Like this one:

Think plugging in a toaster directly to the wall versus plugging into a power strip.
Sometimes having a usb hub in the middle can mess with things... especially when the item draws power via the usb port. (like the shuffle does).
If you have a hub....try plugging the shuffle in directly on the macbook and see if it helps.

  • My BB Playbook doesn't charge and turn on. Nothing can solve this problem. Please help!!!!

    Hi everybody!
My BB playbook doesn't charge and turn on.
When I tried to charge it,  at first ,the red color appears for 10 seconds and after the green color starts blinking several times. And that's all. Every time when I am charging it the same thing is repeating. What should I do in this case???
If someone knows how to solve this issue please HELP!

    Hey LM344,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
If you're receiving the flashing green LED light, it sounds like the BlackBerry PlayBook battery is completely drained.  I suggest plugged the BlackBerry PlayBook into the wall charger for several hours to get a charge again.
Let me know if the issue still persists after charging it after several hours.
    Cheers.

  • Looking for Mozilla Firefox to be ported on the webOS platform. HP is coming on hot and heavy in this space. Is Firefox keeping up? Please?

HP's webOS operating environment (linux kernel, webkit UI) is apparently coming on pretty strong. Pixi, Pre/Pre2/Pre3, and of course the forth-coming TouchPad. Does Mozilla have plans to port Firefox to that platform? I' d be the first in line. Big u
