941 Quarterly Federal Tax Return

We are on Oracle 12.1.1 When our Payroll department runs the quarterly tax return the number of employees (line 1) is way understated - by more than 15,000. Also the Wages on line 2 is millions less than it should be. However, Income tax withheld on line 3 is correct. Is anyone else seeing this issue?

We are running Quarterly Tax Return Worksheet (Form 941 - PDF) for 3rd quarter 2011. I need to know if we have a data error in our system or if this is a bug in this seeded report. When we run for a GRE that has only 1 person in it, line 1 on this report correctly has a value of 1. But when run for the other GRE (we have only 2) it does not show the correct number. and line 2 wages is also incorrect.

    This is because you are not passing your taxes which you paid to the finance. The fix for this is to do manual adjustment. Go to utilities -> manual adjustment-> click on deposits , interests and penalities and adjust here. for eg
    fed 0001- put the amt to be adjusted.
    fed 0005 -put the amt to be adjusted
    fed 0006-put the amt to be adjusted
    after saving this runt he form againa nd see the result.

    Dear Experts...
    to check the report of tax returns I am using "Zstar" T-code,
    i have  given the respective values i.e.,
    Company code
    Region
    Form
    Fiscal year
    Posting Period
       and then by clicking on execute i can find some values in value excluding vat, vat due (in sales) and value excluding vat ,  vat claimed( in purchases)
    My question is from where these values are picking and help me out to check effect of the related documents.
    For reference i have attached the screen shot.
    Note: i haven't maintained any values in my testing client, but i can find values in my production client.

    Hello,
    TCd. Zstar which you use is not an SAP standard transaction, as far as I know.
    So it is not possible to tell you, what data is read by the program.
    You have to check this with colleague who has done the programming.

  • Safari and Turbotax Online CAN'T PRINT TAX RETURN

    I'm using:
    Mac OS 10.4.3
    Safari 2.0
    and online Turbotax, and when went to try printing tax return, it says it's a .pdf file type, and it pops up a window showing PREVIEW AND PRINT, but no print button. It says "if having problems and won't download go to adobe site for help". I tried the site and Safari's file/print, and "save as" and it only shows the first page of tax return. Details: on the website page to print, there is a window inside the window showing whole tax return in inner window with scroll bars to right. But whatever is showing when not scrolling thru, and try to hit file/print from Safari top menu, is what shows on printout...ie: only ONE page of whatever's in the innermost window. The turbotax persons are NO help, so tho't I'd try this wonderful MAC HELP site to see if anyone else has any suggestions. The adobe site said the following, all of which I tried and nothing worked:
    -deinstall/reinstall adobe reader
    -remove pdf plugin (sys prefs/quicktime/advanced/MIME settings/images/choose down arrow and UNCHECK "pdf image")
    ..the tho't here was to be able to make webpage download to desktop, which it never has yet, even with all turned off and even during the time I uninstalled adobe and all related files.
    ..so far the only thing I can come up with (which I don't like as a Mac-addict)is go to work and use a PC(ugh)to download my copy of my tax return.

    After a long search I FOUND THE ANSWER to being able to see this PDF file in the ONLINE Turbotax site to be able to PRINT my tax return. Here is HELP for anyone else who has this problem. NOTE: This is for Mac OS 10.3 or Later. I'm also using Safari 2.0, so not sure if other's using earlier vs will work- read the README file below re this different PDF plugin.
    ------------HOWTO:
    Turbotax not PRINT - PDF files inside web browser not show up
    (Not in Safari nor Firefox, nor Netscape) ..how to fix: (For Mac 10.3 or later)
    1) Go to this website:

    and under "PluginDoc" click on "MacOS X"
    2)Under "Mozilla Plugin Support on MacOS X" click on "Adobe Reader"
    3)The above says to delete the Adobe Reader plugin. It may be found in a couple of places, so the best way to find is when on desktop and the FINDER is showing in top menu, do a FILE/FIND and type in to SEARCH for AdobePDFViewer.plugin then DELETE it.
    4)go to the following page and download the following plugin which works for Netscape or Safari:

    On the above page on the upper right you see the link to DOWNLOAD NOW- the download is called:
    "PDF Browser Plugin 2.2.3"
    5)IMPORTANT: the README file found after clicking on the download("pdf-plugin-223.dmg") to install, tells some important info as follows:
    If Adobe Reader 7 or the QuickTime plug-in are set to handle PDF documents, they will override the PDF Browser Plugin. Turn off the display of PDF documents by these applications.
    Adobe Reader 7:
    Open the Adobe Reader 7 preferences with the command Adobe Reader->Preferences, select the "Internet" section of the preferences dialog, and turn off(by unchecking box) "Display PDF in browser using: Adobe Reader 7".
    QuickTime:
    With the QuickTime plug-in you are only able to see the first page of a PDF document. If you encounter this problem, open System Preferences, go to the QuickTime preferences pane, click in "MIME settings…" in the Plug-In pane, and make sure that under "Images - Still image files" "PDF Image" is turned off (by unchecking box next to it).
    --Continue to follow the INSTALLATION in the README file for this "PDF Browser Plugin."
    6)After following the above directions, I closed and reopened my browser and went to the page to print my tax return, and a window for this new plugin opened which asked to either register, or choose SINGLE USE ONLY, as it's free for this purpose, so check near that box, then this GREAT PDF VIEWER opened inside safari and I clicked on it's new print button (the PFD viewer icon)and it PRINTED WHOLE TAX RETURN! HORRAH! Hope this helps someone else!

    if you start report via SE38. program name RFUMSV00 you can read the program documentation. In here it states what is needed:
    ...In addition, the report provides data for the electronic advance return
    for tax on sales/purchases. The administration report for electronic tax
    returns (FOT_B2A_ADMIN) then directly sends the return to your relevant
    tax authority.
    To use the electronic advance return for tax on sales/purchases, make
    the necessary settings in the screen area Posting Parameters under
    Electronic Advance Tax Return.
    For more information, see the SAP Library under Financials -> Financial
    Accounting (FI) -> Financial Accounting  General Topics -> Taxes
    (FI-AP/AR) -> Taxes on Sales/Purchases, Sales Taxes, and Additional

  • Using old G4 to submit CT600 company tax return to HMRC, unable to submit

    This is an odd one, was wondering if anyone else has come across this problem
    I'm nurturing an old G4 as my main computer, as I still want to use the old Cinema Display monitor.
    Last year (April 2012) I prepared my Company Tax Return CT600 for the HMRC, was able to  download the HMRC document (designed for Adobe Reader), change the Trust settings as instructed in the HMRC leaflet, and complete the form. I made a number of attempts to submit it - there is a link to click on the last page of the return to submit.  I got the rainbow wheel for several minutes, then a "submission failed" message from the HMRC "helpdesk".  Repeated calls to the Helpdesk produced no help, but the comment that they were looking at some problems with the software and compatability with old MACs.
    I should say that I'd used their online service on the same computer for all the other company tax affairs, and my own self assessment tax, with no problems at all.
    Because they were unable to solve the problem, they offered me the chance to submit a paper return, for that year only.  However, I went to my neighbour who runs Windows Vista, and he was able to submit the form for me with no difficulty after he had changed the Adobe Trust settings as instructed.
    I assumed that HMRC would have addressed the compatability issue - if that's really what the problem is - by this year. But no - tried to submit for the current year, and same problem, rainbow wheel, followed by the "submission failed" message from HMRC, timecoded, so presumably the form at least tried to submit itself it to their servers.
    So before I go round all my friends' computers with the file and try again, I just wondered if any vintage MAC enthusiasts who run small companies might have come across this one and found a work-around?  Or could it be an ISP issue, though never had problems submitting any other kinds of forms online to any other organisations.  I'm interested in finding out if there is a solution!

  • VAT ultilization through S_ALR__87012357 Advance Tax Return

    Hi,
    In the Indian scenario, we are having input tax code having both ED deductible at 10.30% and VAT Deductible at 5%. The captured ED deductible amount get setoff through J2IUN. But when we try to do VAT utilization through Advance Tax Return Program, we once again gets both ED setoff and VAT setoff as well which is quite wrong. We need to do only Input VAT setoff against output VAT.
    Further, the client wants to do VAT utilization through this program only and not manual JV. Is there any way, we can address this requirement through S_ALR_87012357 ? Appreciate your valuable advice in this regard how you have overcome this and done VAT utilization.

    The std SAP report does not have the VAT # - It looks somebody added the VAT info to the report. Please check the config under SPRO.
    Additionally, I think this comes from the Plant and NOT Co Cd.

    I have configured Service Tax Return - ST3 as per SAP Note 1393534. I have maintained FI-SD Service category determination for (1) GL Account & Tax Code AND (2) Customer & Tax code. Similarly, I have maintained FI-MM Service category determination for (1) GL Account & Tax Code AND (2) Vendorr & Tax code.
    While executing ST3 report, I am getting report for Section 4 & 5 of ST3 but not for Section 3. SAP message is "No entries found for selection criteria"
    Kindly suggest whether any other steps ia required.

  • Best way to extract data from 2 years records/Numbers files for tax return?

    Hi
    I am wanting to find a way of generating my annual tax returns from my financial records, which will be stored in a separate Numbers file for each Calendar Year.
    As the Tax Year (in the UK) is different from the Calendar Year (in the UK it runs from April 6 to April 5), I would need to extract information from two different Numbers files, to a third Numbers file. Is it possible to do this, and would this be relatively straightforward?
    I'd be interested to hear from others who have used Numbers for a similar purpose, and how they have organised things.

    The easiest soluce is to forget the use of separate documents.
    Use one sheet per year and it will be really easy to achieve your goal using only formulas.
    With separate documents, the unique soluce is to use an AppleScript.
    I may write one but I'm a bit tired because I posted a lot of such soluce and in most cases, I don't know if they give satisfaction to the askers.
    Coding for the clouds isn't my cup of tea so I think that for some days, I will leave AppleScript and will work upon the archives of my workshop.

    Does anybody know when is SAP going to release the changes for form HR_F_940_09 for ER Annual Fed UE Tax Return. As of now the FUTA taxes are calculated based on the old rate .008 that was valid before 07/01/2011.
