Thanks with regards,

Hi
This Standard contains the format and establishes the data contents of the Warehouse Stock Transfer Receipt Advice Transaction Set (944) for use within the context of an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) environment. The transaction set can be used by a receiving location to advise a depositor or an agent of the depositor that a transfer shipment has been received. This transaction set provides the depositor or the depositor's agent with detail information concerning product that has been received. RAPID 944 Standard (4010 - February 1999)

I'm trying to create an authorization for stock transfer when To Warehouse equals a certain value. Is there a way to do it?

Hi,
How could I do it with an approval procedure?
You can create approval stages and template by using query
Is it with a query?
Yes
Will it be similar to a formatted search?
Yes
Try this query for row level with only one item.

• Excisable Stock Transfer with Excise Duty to Other State Warehouse

Dear Experts,
We have a factory in India which has to pay excise.
We have depots in several location in India.
We transfer finished goods from Factory to Depot and have to pay excise.
When selling from Depot we do not charge the end customer the excise. (Only VAt and this is Depot is a Seperate company in Tally )
However, I will be paying the excise at Factory
The costing of the FG transferred to Depot has to be increased as I'm bearing the cost of excise and not passing it to the final customer.
We are implementing SAP B1 9.0 Please Suggest how to manage this in SAP 9
In tally we were managing these by creating Different Company but in SAP we need to manage in Same company
Is there any other workaround, by using inventory transfer form ? then how will be the excise postings
Please Suggest
Regards,
Chetan Popat

Hi Chetan,
On SAP you can do stock transfer with payment of duty selection on stock transfer form. and then you can create corresponding excise invoice. Make sure you are transferring stock from one excise warehouse to another.

• Stock transfer between one ware house to another warehouse

hi all,
i moved the the stock within the warehouse(bin to bin).my client requirement is move the stock from one ware house to another warehouse in same plant /storage location. so i need the configuration steps for that.
appreciate your help always,
yours
muthuraman.d

Hi
Hope you are using different storage location for different warehouse within same plant.
Use Movement type 311 - Location to location stock transfer to transfer the material from one warehouse to another ware house.
Make the Auto TO enable at the movement type level so that system will generate the TO automatically when you do the transfer posting. Also possible to confirm the TO autmatically at movement type level.
Hope it helps.
Thanks /Karthik

• Excise Invoice generation during stock transfer

Hello All,
For an excisable item it is a rule in indian localization whenever the goods leave the warehouse it has to carry a proper excise document. This is possible in case of a delivery. But how to manage this in case of stock transfer? When the excisable goods are transfered from one warehouse to another then a excise invoice is to be generated. How can this be managed in SAP Business One? Please suggest.I am using SAP Business One 2005B PL 41
Regards,
Debraj

This Functionality is not available in SAP 2005B.
As a workaround,
Create Journal Entry for Excise Duty & VAT
For Excise Invoice, create a seperare PLD in Inventory Transfer Screen
Note:
This feature of Excise Invoice generation during stock transfer is available in SAP 2007B

• Stock Transfer from one location to another through outbound deliveries

Dear GURUS n EXPERTS,
We have 5 warehouse and one manufacturing plant. Till this time we use two step Stock Transfer method to transferring stock from plant to ware houses.
Now, we want to use Shipping & Transportation System to to calculate transportation cost. But this system consider only outbound deliveries. So, our requirement is:
1. Create the outbound deliveries, but no billing.
2. Receive the material at warehouse against this outbound delivery but do not go for invoice booking.
How can we achieve it. Please guide us.
Thanks,
DSC

Hello,
You may see the IMG path SPRO->Materials Management->purchasing->Purchase Order->Setup Stock Transport Order. Here, the most important ones are Assign Delivery Type and Assign Purchasing Document Type. Availability check, Delivery tolerances etc. are optional. You need shipping point to be created using transaction OVLZ.
Thanks,
Venu

• Stock transfer with zero stock

Hi all,
Stock tranfer is happening with zero stock.
Is there any way to avoid this ?
Thanks
Jeyakanthan

Hi Jeyakanthan,
If you have already selected 'Block below negative quantity', please check Item Master Data ->Stock Tab: checkbox for
'Manage Stock by Warehouse' is ticked or not.
With it ticked, the system considers the stock in each warehouse and none of the warehouses can go into negative stock for this item.
If this box is not ticked, the system calculates the overall stock availability and e.g. if you do a stock transfer for an item from warehouse A to warehouse B, you will never go into negative stock in an overall view for this particular item although it is negative in warehouse A.
To sum up, you need to check the box "Manage Inventory by Warehouse" in the "Item Master Data" and at the same time "Block below negative quantity" checkbox in the Document Settings in order to block negative quantity by warehouse.
I hope this answers your question.

• Stock Transfer from Bonded WH to Depot (Excise)

Hi All,
We have a business scenario of bonded warehouse where material is imported. In SAP we are following the below process.
a. Create Import PO without any duty > GRN > MIRO (Vendor Payment)
b. Create STO with bonded warehouse as our supplying plant & our depot (excise plant) as receiving plant.
c. Enter all custom duties in STO.
d. Custom MIRO is done.
e. Outbound delivery created against STO > Goods Issue > MIGO
f. When we do J1ID, system throws an error that our supplying plant (Bonded WH) is not marked as depot in CIN plant setting.
Please help me in getting the scenario for Import to Bonded WH followed by stock transfer to my depot where I can capture my RG23D register.
Regards
Virender

Bonded Warehouse need not to be registered as a Excisable Plant or Depot in CIN settings, you still have to Maintain Plant settings for Bonded Warehouse.. Else you will get the Error During J1IG Incoming Excise invoice at Depot. There is no harm even if you maintain Bonded Warehouse in CIN Plant settings..

• Two step 303, 305 movement stock transfer for split valuatin material

Hi expert,
we are using split valuation for material in IS -Retail for both warehouse as well as store. when i am transfer material from store with movement type 303, message is showing'Use one-step procedure for transfer posting to art. subj. to valuation'.
we wave to use this method in case of split vauation material.
how we can do.
Regards,
Santosh

Hi Santosh,
Try to transfer material using TCode MB1B with Mvt type "301".
Movement Type "301" is used for stock transfer - One step process.
So when you post transfer using Mvt. Type 301, the receiving store will not require to do GRN for that material.
Hope this helps you. Let me know in case you need some more info.

• Stock Transfer process with message SPED

Hi guys,
I am trying to set up a stock transfer process, with a cross company purchase order that generates an outbound delivery which output message, SPED, generates the replenishment delivery through its internal process (standard program /SPE/STO_ID_PROCESSING, routine STO_ID_CREATION).
It works fine as long as I do not pack the output delivery item.
But when I pack the item the message processing results in error VL059 'You canot add this item to the delivery'.
Please note that the packaging material is not managed in stock and that the warehouse is not managed per HU.
As no OSS Note seemed relevant, I tried with:
- Delivery type, setting the 'Generation of Delivery Items for HU Packaging Materials' flag;
- Delivery type, canceling 'Item Requirement' routine;
- Item category determination, filling all possible entry... ;
- Copy control, from delivery default order type to replenishment delivery with packaging item category;
- Packaging material type, changing "Indicator: Generate Delivery Items".
If you have any suggestion (maybe a combination of the above!) please help!
Thanks,
GR

Hi MdZ and thanks.
When the packaging material type is not set in customizing as a delivery item (if this is what you mean) I get exactly the same error.
I tried to create a purchase order for the packaging itself and - after proper customizing - it did work.
But still get the problem packing my outbound delivery item...
If you mean something else please tell me.
I read the FAQ, but find no useful information.

• MRP recommendation -- Do a Stock transfer instead of Purch or prodn Order..

With the MRP report recommendations you can either select to fulfill the recomendation by Purchase Order or Production Order. is it possible to add another option i.e Stock Transfer. I.E Customer has mutliple warehouses in different regions and they are supplied via a primary warehouse. eg run MRP for region x and use the MRP recommendations to trigger stock transfers from the primary Warehouse.
Any pointers Greatly Appreciated!!!
thanks

Thanks for the reply, currently I am heading down the path of
using the order recomendation table (ORCM) from there it should be possible to run an addon to present this table with the option of a stock transfer from a primary warehouse
so the user would
1: run the MRP as normal
2:then from the recomendation screen launch a new screen that gives you the option of selecting a warehouse and initiating stock transfers for items that are available
3:ones that are not available(or not enough in stock) would remain on the recomendation report to be actioned with a PO or ProdOrder.
the stock transfer would move the stock to some sort of virtual wharehouse while the logistics physically move the goods. then then to receive the goods the user would enter a similar screen bring up all the goods in the virtual w/h and maybe tick all the valid ones and do a stock transfer to the 'actual' w/house.
ps any comments on this 'theory' are appreciated
thanks for looking

• Lean-WM Stock Transfer

Hello,
Is it possible to have stock transfers from one storage location (lean-wm active) to another storage location (lean-wm active)? I tried to make a transfer with MB1B but this requires to set up additional movement types for lean-wm (e.g. movement type 312) and also storage bins. The requirement is to only use MM-IM and no WM inventory. I found one note from SAP that said a delivery should be used. But when I create a delivery I get other error messages.
The only reason why I have to use lean-wm is because we use scanner in the warehouse and the standard SAP interface for scanner is SAPConsole. But somehow the functionlity is very limited.
Can someone help and explain to me how I can make a stock transfer within the same plant between two lean-wm active storage locations?
Best Regards,
Jenny

Hi Jenny,
Could please let me know how you solved the issue. I am doing stock transfer from SLoc(Not active LWM) to Sloc LWM.
It would be help if you give give steps to configure.
Thanks&Regards,

• DRQ:Stock Transfer window column sorting

Customer have a central warehouse (5500 items in B1) where to items are ordered. Customer employees pick and pack the items to the company retail stores around Finland from this central warehouse. The retail stores are warehouses (6) in the SAP Business One. Customer is using a stock transfer for "internal" pick and pack actions according each retails store internal orders. Customer central warehouse employees enter several "internal pick and pack" transactions in the one stock transfer before adding it in B1. There could be 90 items in one stock transfer. After this they start picking items from the central warehouse to the retails store warehouses. Items are not ordered in stock transfer window according the itemnumbers because the internal orders are not send to the central warehouse according items numbers. However the items are ordered in central warehouse according itemnumbers. This is slowing the pick and pack actions dramatically.
Therefore it should be possible to sort items in the stock transfer window as in the sales and purchase documents.

Could I ask why you chose to import opening balances this way? I would say using DTW templates would be very convenient unless you have a compelling reason to use a FMS.
The DTW template (oStockTaking > StockTaking.xlt ) should be used.

• Include Stock transfer in MRP

Hello Solution Management,
Currently MRP Only check the quantity available for a given item in the warehouse(s) and suggests to buy/produce it.
However it could happen that the stock which need to be used is available in a different warehouse than the selected one(s).
The MRP should recommend not only Purchase or Production Order but also stock transfer from a warehouse to another warehouse.
It could be left to the user/company to choose to avail the stock transfer option in MRP.
example:
I have 3 warehouses:
bonded warehouse,
warehouse A,
warehouse B.
My Item1 is out of stock or at minimum level in warehouse A.
Case 1: There is stock in the bonded warehouse and no stock or minimum stock in warehouse B
MRP Should suggest a transfer from the bonded warehouse
Case 2 There are stocks in the Bonded warehouse and in warehouse B
a. MRP suggests a transfer from Warehouse B
b. The quantity needed from warehouse A will bring warehouse 2 to a level below the minimum stock: MRP suggests:
b1. a transfer from warehouse B for a quantity which bring the stock to the minimum and suggest to transfer the missing quantity from the bonded warehouse.
b2. a transfer from warehouse B for a quantity which bring the stock to the minimum and suggest to transfer the missing quantity from the bonded warehouse and purchase/production if necessary.
b3. MRP recommends a stock transfer from the Bonded warehouse for the full quantity + purchase if necessary
b4. A purchase/production for the full quantity to avoid several transactions
Case 3 There is no stock in the bonded warehouse: or in warehouse B (or minimum level in warehouse B)
MRP recommends a purchase or a production.

It depends on the set up of your COA profile. If you have results coming from the inspection lot and you do not specify an inspection type in the COA profile header, then yes..it will.
If you specified an 04 lot in the profile, then no, since the stock transfer lot should be an 08 inspection lot.
Cert profiles are not plant specific so you can't specify an 08 inspection type. Otherwise some shipments in plant A will fail to get a COA since it is possible that no 08 inspection lot will exist.
