[9520] Server Memory is too low

Getting an error on our login page every once in awhile where it says [9520] Server memory is too low. New login requests are not allowed. Please contact your system Administrator. We added more ram to the VM running the server. I couldn't see anything about recommended ram settings unless I am missing something. We have GWIA, MTA and Webmail all running on the same box with 6GB of ram. Anybody have any recommendations?
Thanks,
Nathan
Update: Restarting tomcat seems to help for some time.

Section 4.1 Hardware and Operating System Requirements in the GW2014
Install Guide[1] includes
--begin--
Adequate server memory as required by the operating system
Depending on the anticipated load on the GroupWise agents, additional
memory might be required. For details, see Section 4.6, Sample Agent
Memory Requirements[2].
---end---
Section 4.6 lists 4GB under recommended memory for best performance of
GWIA and its MTA with 4GB for WebAccess application. Given those two
added together equal 8GB and you're running on virtual machine I'd
suggest that you might want to increase the amount of memory available
to the VM.
Which OS is the server running and which virtualisation platform are you
hosting the VM on?
HTH.

  • Pop up window saying Memory is too low to continue in Logic. Why?Way to Fix?

I recently purchased my IMac OSX 10.6.3 as well as Logic. I have about a half dozen projects on my hard drive now, which is also being backed up to a "time machine" external drive. The projects are pretty small( just piano, or piano and string quartet, etc.) I also just installed Office Suite for Mac and the full Adobe Creative Suite.
Recently when I have been working in the Score Editor(In Logic Pro 9), a pop up window appears saying something to the effect of "memory is getting low, don't install more plugins and remove any unused ones." Then today, after that pop up, another one showed up and said "memory is too low to continue. we will close project, autosave, etc. etc."
Why is this happening? Is there not enough memory on my computer? Will this actually effect editing procedures in Logic? (because it seems like some things aren't working like they used to) Is there a quick and easy fix? Is this related to space remaining on hard drive, or is it completely different? Could it be related to the IMAC backing up files to my "time machine" drive at the same time I am working in LOGIC?
Could someone who has a little time on their hands please answer these questions IN DETAIL? I am new to MAC and LOGIC, so I really have no Idea what's going on with the memory issue. I don't even understand how MEMORY corresponds to available space, quality of running programs, etc.
Please help. I'm working on a deadline to finish a Master's portfolio and this could potentially be a big bump in the road for me.
    Thanks....

The System Requirements for Logic Studio call for a minimum or 1 GB RAM with 2 GB recommended. So you should not have a problem with your 4 GB.
First make sure your RAM is being recognized by your computer. Go to Apple Menu (apple in upper left hard corner and click on "About this Mac". Make sure it say 4 GB. Ram chip at times will go bad or become unseated.
Now for troubleshooting, here is what I would do. The next time you want to use Logic, restart your computer. Restarting "flushes" the RAM; it may not sound like it but that is a good thing. Then do not open any other programs other than Logic (except ones you may need for it). You listed an awesome group of software you own. Your computer is not set up for all these programs to automatically start up when you turn on the computer, is it??
So I am betting that you will not get the low memory message when only Logic is working. With some trial and error you will be able to open more and more programs at the same time without effecting Logic.
You can better understand your RAM by opening Activity Monitor (Applications >> Utilities >> Activity Monitor). Click on the System Memory tab at the bottom and you can visualize what your RAM (Memory) is doing. There is also a list of programs that are open and what resources they are sucking up.
Good luck with your computer and your masters.

  • Firefox repeatedly tells me my virtual memory is too low.

I frequently receive a message from Firefox stating that my virtual memory is too low and that you will add to this memory. I also get a message informing me that Firefox is not responding so I re-boot this works but it happens repeatedly.

The firefox is consuming too much memory! With one tab, is using 351kb! How to fix this?
Ah, I checked my virtual memory and it is more than 1GB...
    What I can do?

  • My virtual memory is too low.how can i increase it?

when playing Cityville,I sometimes receive a message saying that my virtual memory is too low. What can be done to correct this?

You can check the Virtual Memory settings here: Control Panel > System > Advanced > Performance > Settings (Advanced tab)<br />
Windows can manage more memory then is physical available and that memory is stored in a page file on your hard drive.<br />
If the size of that file is not large enough and all available memory is in use then you get the Virtual Memory is low warning.<br />
Make sure that you have at least 1 GB or the recommended setting for the Virtual Memory.<br />
If you have less than 1 GB physical memory installed on your computer then if possible add more memory.<br />

  • Dedicated Graphics memory too low!

My son is having trouble playing games on his HP 520 Touchscreen PC. I ran a DX Diagnostic for the game company & they said the amount of dedicated video memory was too low at 64Mb. How can I increase the amount of this memory to the recommended amount of 512 Mb? Would increasing the amount of general RAM to 8Gb automatically increase the video RAM. Or if, as I suspect would I need to increase it manually, if so, How?

    Hi,
What is its model ? 520 is a series of dozens models. You bought a wrong games machine for him, the following one is better:
       http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/nz/en/ho/WF06b/12454-12454-3352963-3352964-3352964-5146296-5149309.ht...
No, you can't increased dedicated memory for video card w/o replace it (card may be very hard to find) but the system should automatically supply more RAM (up to a limit) when it needed.

  • 802.1x caused Switch to hang - Memory too low

    Hi all,
Anyone experienced this before while turning on flex authentication (802.1x, MAB, Web Auth), causing the switch too hang. When the switch hang, I can't even telnet to switch or even console into the switch. The message I am getting from the console is "Memory too low, please try again later".
It happens weeks after 802.1x was enable on the switch, can anyone share their experience on this? Thanks.

    Any luck with this??
We have quite a few 4500's doing the same thing.

  • Tivolo storage manager error message is Database Cache Hit Ratio is too low

Hi  basis friends,we are performing incremental backup from mon-fri.from past two days i was getting error message as 'data base cache hit ratio is too low (97.3,98)and increase buffer pool size value.what is the problem for this error message? how can i overcome this error? give me detail analysis to the issue please.
    Thanks and regards,
    Nani

    Hello Nani,
The database buffer cache hit ratio is the proportion of Oracle logical reads that do not require operating system (OS) read calls.
When an Oracle session accesses a block, Oracle executes an instruction path that determines whether or not that block is already in the database buffer cache. We refer to this instruction path as an Oracle logical I/O call.. If the block is not in the buffer cache, then Oracle will execute an OS read call. We refer to this as a physical I/O call.It must be ideally close to 99% and since in your case it is low, that is why you are getting these errors
Now to increase this you will have to increase the vakue of shortbuffer pool size as suggested by Tivolii.
Fo that you wil have to increase the value of parameter DB_CACHE_SIZE if you are using Oracle 9i.
Go through the following link http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B13789_01/server.101/b10752/memory.htm
which will help you understand the concept better

  • I can't trigger my E series board with PFI0 because it's resolution is too low

    Hi All,
I am using LabVIEW 7.0 and DAQmx to configure a 6062E-Daq Card. I am
using the DAC output to apply small voltage steps (as low as 10 mV) to
a test system. I want to trigger the acquistion of a separate voltage
signal on an AI channel whenever these small voltage steps are applied.
To do this, I have sent my DAC output to the PFI0 trigger channel and
am acquiring my measured signal on AI1. My vi is essentially the
    Acq&Graph Voltage-Int Clk-HW Trig Restarts.vi only my DAQmx Start
Trigger is changed from Analog Edge to Reference AnalogEdge so I can
    measure 200 pre-samples.
The vi works beuatifully when my DAC output changes are quite large
(say 100mV). If I go to smaller pulses then the trigger never fires. I
understand that the PFI0 has lower input resolution (usually 4 bits
lower than AI channles) so I think this is my problem.
I understand that I can use an AI channel to act as my trigger channel
but in this case, because I am using an E series board, I can only
measure one channel (my trigger channel) and still have a Reference
trigger. Is there a way to collect my data with pre-samples, using
    these small triggering steps ?
    Ian

    Hi Ian,
I just came across this thread and I wrote an application (Utilizing a Software Circular Buffer for Data Acquisition - LV 7.1) awhile back to help do exactly what Laura was talking about, but without taking too much processor time.
They key to everything is to store the most recent data in a software
circular buffer.  It works pretty well even running an application
for hours at a time because it will only retain the last N seconds
worth of data and no arrays are being built so it keeps memory usage
fairly low.  You can then look at the data within the circular
buffer, determine some sort of condition and then view the last Y
seconds worth of data on whatever row of data you want.
It's slightly complicated, but with a little work you can get it to
work for what you are trying to do.  This may help you find a
solution between now and when you can get your M-Series board.

    Also, can overclock your computer:
    Video Card
To overclock video card, we need a third party utility to overclock the card. Although increasing numbers of manufacturers include utilities to allow customers to overclock their cards in their drivers or through an extra application, most of them do not provide this facility. Simply because overclocking stresses the system and voids manufacturer warranties. Third party utilities tend to be universal that they work on different cards irrespective of manufacturers.

    "NvCplEnableAGPSettingsPage"=dword:00000001
Save it as agpsetting.reg to your desktop or anywhere you like. Then run it and it will give you all the hidden options from Nvidia which include extra resolution settings for your desktop and overclocking for both the memory and core.

  • Too low for radio use at 50%

my blackberry 9360 with the newest update out when at 50% battery comes up saying too low for radio use then just suddenly goes from 50% to 0 in a matter of seconds as i watch it cant down faster than anything. i tried pulling battery out when fully charged with charger in but still not working how do i fix this?

Oh...sorry...I think I was not clear..."known good" and "new" are not necessarily the same thing. While rare, a new battery certainly can be defective. Plus, finding someone with an identical BB without these same problems, and trading batteries, is certainly a less expensive method for carrying out this test. Again, sorry about not being clear on that point...
    Anyway, refer:
KB14320How to maximize free space and battery power on the BlackBerry smartphone
It is really quite impossible to predict the "normal" consumption rate for any individual user -- each person is unique, and will demand a different level of resource consumption from everyone else. To me, the key is to determine what is normal for your usage patterns...and then become concerned when things deviate from that.
It is also always important to properly close applications when you are done with them. Using the Back or the Red key will not do this -- those leave it to the app to decide what to do...and some will leave themselves resident in memory, consuming resources on your BB, slowing the overall performance. Rather, to close an app, press and select "Close" or "Exit"...that will force the application to be closed, freeing up for your new use the resources it was consuming. Some apps will always remain running (typically -- BBMessenger, Browser, Homescreen, Phone, and Messages)...but, you should still close them properly - especially the Browser...if it is left on an active web page, it will not only consume extra resources but battery power as well.
Further, anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure. Some have taken to doing this on a regular basis as a preventive measure...some as frequently as once per day. Others have obtained the QuickPull app to automate a simulated Batt-Pull.
    Good luck!

  • Too low initial heap size

    Hi,
Any idea why following line is giving too low initial heap size error in server startup.
    $JAVA_HOME/bin/java $JAVA_VM -XX:NewSize=256m -XX:MaxNewSize=256m -XX:SurvivorRatio=6 -Xms2048m -Xmx2048m -Xrs -verbose:gc
This error is coming when I am adding -XX:NewSize=256m -XX:MaxNewSize=256m parameters.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Chintan.

Just a thought: maybe you should use both,
    initial-heap-size="128m" max-heap-size="256m"
I think the Client JVM defaults to max 64m, so setting the initial heap to 128m would set initial bigger than max, which leads to an error.
    hope that helps...
