9971 registred/unregtistred with KEM - CUCM 8.6.2

Hello,
I have little problem with 9971+KEM. 9971 with no attached KEM works fine - 3 Line's + 3 BLF. If I connect KEM to phone (configure Phone button template, add KEM in CUCM to phone, set Subscribe CSS) phone also works fine. If I only add 1 or 2 BLF to KEM, phone starts re-registering to: secondary CUCM, then to SRST Gateway, then to Primmary CUCM, then to ... etc. and all BLF's on phone and KEM change to SD buttons icon. Firmware is 9.3.4.24. CUCM version is 8.6.2. I use power cube 4 (48Watts).

Surprisingly, it has made it all the way to 10.5(x) with the same info and the same error...
I did found a method to change it via root access, and you might not require root access, but I can't tell for sure as I would need to look at exactly what the contents of the file that TAC changes, but apparently it's just the platformConfig.xml that they need to change and reboot.
If that's the case, using the utils import config using pretty much all the same info, except the country, would end up with the same outcome.
Again, not 100% sure but theory says that should do the trick, you can run that thru TAC if you open the case and see what they think about it.

I have a WAN simulation with one Cisco2811 router one Cisco1841 router (connected with fast Ethernet interface) plus one layer 2 switch.
I upgraded the 2811 IOS to 15.4M and installed CME8.6, when we tried to add 9971 sip phone If the traffic goes throw LAN (Same subnet- directly from switch to 2811) everything is fine and the SIP phone (9971) added with no problem but when I change the subnet and traffic goes throw WAN
( from 1841 routed to 2811 with default route) my phone didn't register.
It will be great if anybody could help!!
If you can solve my problem, I will be happy to compensate.

I have voice bundle 2951 with 15.1.3(T) IOS version and a few 9971 ip phones. In addition to it I've downloaded current SIP firmware for these phones (sip9971.9-2-1) and configured my CME as follows:

During the boot process all ip settings including option 150 were successfully updated by the phone:

But when the phone tries to get files on the CME it fails. The ouput of debug tftp events command shows that there is no such configuration file on tftp:

thank you. i checked this out, but i think it doesnt matter whether tftp-path statement is set or not in this case.
Configuration files for 9971 are located in system:cme/sipphone directory by default.
While I have this statement in tftp-server configuration, it should get this file from the server.
tftp-server system:cme/sipphone
i tried to configure it accordiing to this example.
Now i can see xml file in flash direcory:

Problem with installing CUCM on MCS-7816-I5

Hi to all.
I have a problem with installing CUCM 8.6.1 on new MCS-7816-I5 (IBM) hardware. The problem is that installation loops in restart after upgrading MCS firmware. Actualy, installation does not sucessfully upgrade firmware, so every time it detects old firmware and trying to upgrade it.
I also tried update MCS firmware with downloaded Firmware Update Utility 3.6.5 CD from Cisco downloads, but it also fails.
Does anyone have idea what's going on? Is this a Cisco failure or IBM server failure?

Symptom:
Refresh upgrade stops with IMM device detection, and then server being reported as unsupported
Conditions:
in-band USB interface was disabled, which is configurable via IBM system X or IMM (browser) interfaces.
Workaround:
change the in-band usb interface settings to enabled.

Can CUBE register with two CUCM clusters?

We have two CUCM clusters - one is in US and one is in Australia. Currently CUBE is registered with US Cluster with the settings below -
sccp local GigabitEthernet0/0
sccp ccm 10.10.1.21 identifier 2 priority 2 version 7.0
sccp ccm 10.10.1.20 identifier 1 priority 1 version 7.0

Now we need CUBE to communicate with Australia CUCM. Should we set sccp up for Australia CUCM cluster (version 6.0)?

I think you are refering to registering media termination points / transcoders on the same router to two different CUCM clusters, correct?
If yes, we can do it by creating separate sccp ccm groups.

Configure Jabber for Mac with local CUCM and WebEx Connect

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has been able to configure the Jabber for Mac 8.6.2 client to use the WebEx Connect presence server with a local CUCM and Unity Connection servers. The preferences accounts tab does not show or allow the addition of the voice services. I have added from a working local CUCM preferences plist file what I believe are the correct entries however I still cannot see the accounts on the preferences tab. We currently do not have a local cisco presence server hence the requirement to trial the WebEx Connect server as I can't get past the first configuration step without it.

Hi - I have done this via the admin portal but still cannot get the Jabber client for Mac to register for voice. The Windows version works fine for the same user and CUCM device. Are there any other settings that need to be enabled specific to the Mac client?

1 - View Control of vendro master data: the first vat reg no is in the field STCEG (table STCEG). I enter the second vat registration number by clinking on OTHER icon and the I input: contry key IT and VAT registration number
2 - the format of vat registration numebr is correct, for ITALY is 13 lenght wihotu gaps
3 - the error message is "Maintain VAT registration no.for country IT on the previous screen
Message no. F2143 " very few information
I think the proble is due that I am entering the same a new vat registration number for the same country key. Indeed if I fill a vat registration with different country key and works!

ISE device registration webauth with wlc 7.0 lwa

Is it possible to use the DRW feature with WLCs running 7.0 code? All configuration examples refer to 7.2 code. Its only for guest user device registration. No profiling / provisioning.
Compatibility matrix says that "Wireless Controllers support MAC filtering with RADIUS lookup. For WLCs that support version 7.2.103.0, there is support for session ID and COA with MAC filtering so it is more MAB-like."

Hi,
The reason you need to run the upgraded code is that the radius NAC feature coupled with a mac-filtering enabled SSID will work together. On the release prior you were unable to get both features to work with one another.

Source registration-successful with one problem with other

I have two schemas icecube_cur_ownr and icecube_his_ownr.
I can access the two schemas from SQL plus,toad.The TNS entries are as follows

The problem is with icecube_his_ownr.During the registration process,when I try to test the connection it pops me an error in the test results
ORA-12170 :TNS:connection timeout occurred
Ignoring the error,I proceeded to import the tables and the error message popped up is as follows

Reporsitory error:SQL exception
Class Name:cacheMediator
Method Name:getDDentry from DB
Repository error message:ORA-12170 :TNS:connection timeout occurred
Wondering why the connection is successful for one source and failing for the other as I have followed the same procedure for both the cases.

it's different because you connect to diffferent instances.icecube_cur_ownr=PRIMARY, icecube_his_ownr=CADS.
Did you use the same TNS-Entry to connect with the CADS per sqlplus? If you have several oracle_homes you cannot be not really sure what tnsnames.ora the owb uses.
So look for some other tnsnames.ora files on this machine and verify the entries for icecube_his_ownr. Perhaps they differ.
Or use the host/port/Service-method to create the source location to icecube_his_ownr, not the tns option.

IDM 8.0 Domino User Registration Failure with Explicit Policy

I'm using IDM 8.0 Patch 5 with a Lotus Notes 7.0.2 CCH1 client. I have been successfully creating accounts for almost 2 years and am looking to migrate to IDM 8.x. Previous to my IDM 8.x configuration, I have been using the Lotus Notes 6.5.5 CCH2 client with IDM 6.0 SP2. I have been using an explicit policy since day one with the previous configuration without any issues. The policy was being set using the Policy schema attribute with a field on the user form and worked fine. As of IDM 8.0, the gateway service crashes on every attempt to create a user when the Lotus Notes 6.5.5 client is used. Due to this headache, I tried the Lotus Notes 7.0.2 client and the gateway no longer crashes. However, a new error message is produced. At about the point in registration where the notes ID file is generated (which doesn't succeed), it throws the following error:
DominoExtension::Error while executing 'WS_REGNewPerson' errCode: '8421' Registration Failed: A policy could not be retrieved from the Domino directory.
When I stop the gateway service and open the Lotus Notes client using the same credentials the gateway service uses, I can easily find the policy object that we've been using, open it, look at it, etc. With the gateway trace enabled at the highest level (4), it shows no other information between the call to WS_REGNewPerson and the error displayed in the response. I would also like to mention that I noticed the new availability of the explicit policy attribute on the resource configuration page. I attempted to use the resource attribute instead of the form field that I was previously using and it also fails with the same error.
It should also be noted that I'm running this new environment in parallel with the existing system, that is, IDM 6.0 SP2 with Lotus Notes 6.5.5. That environment has its own gateway servers and web servers. The production Domino environment has not changed and still works fine in the current production IDM environment. The IDM 8.x environment is running against the same Domino servers (same physical servers), but is using separate web servers and gateway servers in a test environment using the same credentials as the production environment.
Has anyone seen this issue and had success in overcoming it? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

There are a couple of important bugs here:
Bug 19094: gateway crashes when provisioning Notes user if Notes client version is 6.5 and server is 7.x
Bug 17213: Add support for Lotus Domino/Notes 8
The resolution brought on by BUG # 17213 added a section to the release notes that states the Domino Server and Lotus Notes client versions must match.
Regarding the error you're seeing:
DominoExtension::Error while executing 'WS_REGNewPerson' errCode: '8421' Registration Failed: A policy could not be retrieved from the Domino directory.
I believe there was a change from REGNewUser to REGNewPerson, which could be playing a role, but I am not certain. I hope this helps.

Candidate registration issues with e-Recruitment

Hello,
We are trying to prototype e-Recrutiment for a simple business process.
We have ECC 6.0 with EHP4, SP level SAPK-60403INERECRUIT
We are trying to go with a single server model for the prototype.
I am getting confusing/incosistent behaviour -
I access transaction SICF.
Then I filter the services by hrrcf*.
I close the bsp folder since I am only interested in the Webdynpro.
then I click "test service" on any of the following -
hrrcf_a_candidate_profile_ext
hrrcf_a_reg_applwizard_ext
Sometimes, I get a blank page. Some times, I get a message "unfortunately the system is not available at this time".
Sometimes, I see the login screen with a button "Register Here".
Sometimes, I directly get a User profile screen on "Personal Data" tab, but none of the dropdowns are available (not even for country) and it doesnt go any further from there.
I try to click "Register Here" - then I enter all the registration information and click "Register" - nothing happens.
I am a little confused.
Please provide any clues you may have to help us move forward.

seems this is still a topic of interest. So I'd like to share some information.
First of all, if you like to work with SAP E-Recruiting 600 EhP4 upgrade to the newest SP level which is currently SP5. No matter if it is only a test / sandbox system, due to some "software quality" issues please use the newest patch / support stack. If not you will invest the time needed for patching many times when testing and evaluating e-recruiting and still not get to a valid result. With SP4 sap brought several important functions missing in the original web dynpro ui for recruiter which existed in the prior BSP solution (see business function HCM_ERC_CI_3) and SP 5 has some quite importat correctios for the application. You will save you a lot of trouble that way.
About ICF services and testing them. For running e-recruiitng with web dynpro ui you mainly need ICF services from the web dynpro folder and a folder named erecruiting but there are still bsps used. These BSPs are called hrrcf_wd*. You will find details on this in the IMG under the ui settings for candidate and recruiter. The documentation for the nodes to define e-recruiting services describe which services to activate and which need service users assigned.
Testing servies from SICF or SE80 is not a good idea for e-recruiting. Most of the services are either called from other services which pass information or need information from URL parameters. For an example you cannot test any wd application of the application wizard as they need the publication which the candidate applies to passed in the url. In many cases the system will give you the "An internal error occured, Please try again later." error as a result. A general hint, if you get this message anywhere in e-recruitng check SLG1 for information on the reason for the error.

Lync online won't support back-end integration with CUCM on prem. But if looking to try client side integration, Cisco's CUCI supports Lync online.

Doubts with ICM / CUCM

Hi All,
I need your ideas to implement the below scenario for one of our customer.
Customer has 4 location E.g., North , South , East and West.
There is a TFN which is mapped to a script and when the user dials this TFN and selects the option North or South or East or West the call should go to that region.
Scenario :
The script has IF condition which checks which region the user chooses then it sends the call to a Label ( Extension number ) to the CUCM.
For Eg., when user chose North Region and ICM send that call to CUCM Label and suppose the North region user is Busy or logged out then the call should go to South Region extension.
How to implement the above scenario , is there option in Script to check with CUCM whether the extension is busy or loggedout and send the call to other region or it can be done with CUCM configuration.

In Target Requery, When your Peripheral fails to Deliver call to Target or Label, it will submit re route request to Router and Router will resume the script execution from failure node and takes the routing Up.
So lets assume that call comes to CVP on TFN, and hits ICM Script.
In script you play menu to caller and get the selection(south,north,west,east)
now based on selection, you are using label node to send LABEL back to CVP and the same label will point to device or CTI RP on CUCM using CVP static routes.
now in the label node, check the target requery check box. i have attached screen shot.
enabling this will Add failure path to label node, and you can use the failure path to send one more label back to CVP which points to some other zone.
The Label can be dynamic or static, however you wish.
i have also attached one sample script, where call comes DN, and i do send to VRU, and after successful operation i send one label back to CVP and if that fails i send one more label back to CVP.
i hope this clears your doubts.

Integrate Cisco UCCX with remote CUCM

We are looking into design of a Cisco Contact Center Express 8.0 solution with CUCM 8.0. In this deployment model, we want to integrate Single Server UCCX at Site A with CUCM Cluster at Site B, that is, there is no Local CUCM.
I have been reading through the Latest UCCX SRND, and as per one of the Cisco Unified CCX General Rules for Design states, The Cisco Unified CM servers running CTI Managers with which Cisco Unified CCX communicates can be located in the same campus LAN or different site as Cisco Unified CCX servers.
This statement is highly confusing. Does this statement mean that, CUCM running CTI Manager Service can be in same LAN network as UCCX OR it can be at a Different Site, and UCCX and CUCM can communicate over WAN?
Please suggest.

I got through some of the Cisco UCCX 8.0 release notes, the required design is indeed supported model.
The release notes state that Unified CCX Remote from Call Agent, which supports Cisco CUCM as remote call agent and JTAPI Over WAN Support.

Candidate registration populating with other records details

I'm implementing iRecruitment 12.1.3
When a candidate does a new registration on the external visitor site, it will sometimes come up with a page pre-populated with another person's record details.
I'm sure that a metalink note was released for this not too long ago but I cannot find it. Can anyone help?!
