9i DB client 64bit download?

Where can I download 9i 64 bit database client?

If you can get it from Oracle, it will be available on http://edelivery.oracle.com and/or http://otn.oracle.com -> Downloads
If it is not there, open a service request with Oracle Support.

  • Clients cannot download updates from DP

    Dear Friends,
    I need your help,
After I configured everything and I am ready to patch my first cycle I have problem with my clients.
I download all the updates and create my deployment package. I sent it to the DP.
The clients cannot download the updates from their DP. I checked the boundary and everything is ok.
I noticed that all pcs have the following error in the FSPstatemessage.log.
    Failed in WinHttpSendRequest API, ErrorCode = 0x2ee7 FSPStateMessage 4/5/2015 1:53:36 AM 4844 (0x12EC)
    [CCMHTTP] ERROR: URL=HTTP://SCCM01.XXX.YYYYY/SMS_FSP/.sms_fsp, Port=80, Options=224, Code=12007, Text=ERROR_WINHTTP_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED FSPStateMessage 4/5/2015 1:53:36 AM 4844 (0x12EC)
Successfully sent location services HTTP failure message.
Does the error above have to do with the client when tries to download the updates from the dp ?
How to solve the problem above ?
I forgot to mention that I have only one Site.
    Please help
    Nikkoscy

The client falls in a boundary that is assigned to a boundary group which gives access to the DP with the content and the deployment package is distributed on the server.
    Please see below the ContentTransferManager.log, CAS.log, LocationServices.log .
any idea what is wrong ?
I can resolve the FQDN of the DP from the client. The DP is the server of the branch where the client locates.

In Client Operations Download Computer Policy is listed many times and says Expired. I'm not sure how to remedy this.
    Thanks
    James A+, Network+, MCP

    Hi,
When it is set as expired it means that the client has perfomed the task in question and the information in the console is just for historical reasons and will be cleaned out automatically from the Console/DB by one of the Site Maintenance Tasks.
So there is no error and nothing to do in this case just sit back and wait for it to be cleaned up.

  • Storing documents for clients to download

    Hello,
I need to store several 2 to 3 page pdf documents for clients to download. I am not sure how to do this. Do I store these documents in my assets folder and then have a separate web page with the addresses to the individual documents in this assets folder?
    Or am I missing something?
    Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the reply. Just so I am clear and doing this correctly: is it best set up a folder within assets and name it "documents" or "docs"? And then my link includes the individual document. So ...documents/page1.pdf
    Yes, that'll work fine.
You can store your PDFs anywhere on the server provided the link to that document is a valid one ie. the server can find it when the link is clicked.
And in terms of protecting the contents for clients only, is there a specific software product that you would recommend using? I am asking this because many people can be downloading the pdf but only after they sign in to our web site and request the document(s).
No, there's no particular software required. You can find many scripts online to assist with this kind of protection.
How do people sign into your website? Do you have a members only area? Would you place the PDFs inside the members only area?

The registry keys for the update source are controlled by the group policy, so configuring the policy and making sure it is applying correctly will automatically configure the appropriate registry keys.  However, the keys specific to windows updates
    are located here:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate
    WUServer
    Reg_SZ
HTTP(S) URL of the WSUS server that is used by Automatic Updates and API callers (by default). This policy is paired with WUStatusServer, and both keys must be set to the same value to be
    valid.
    WUStatusServer
    Reg_SZ
The HTTP(S) URL of the server to which reporting information is sent for client computers that use the WSUS server that is configured by the WUServer key. This policy is paired with WUServer,
and both keys must be set to the same value to be valid.

  • Exchange2010 not updating OAB/Outlook clients not downloading updated OAB

I have been trying to figure this problem out for a month.   We have Exchange 2010 running on Server 08 (SP2).    For over a month, any change made (IE:  New User, Removed User,  Name Change, etc) will not show up
on the client side address book (Outlook 2007 or 2010).
There are A LOT or other forum topics like this and I've probably read them all.  None of them solve this issue for me, but they do help me find workarounds, which I hope can useful in finding a fix.
    What I've learned:
    - OWA is not affected at all.  All changes are instantly reflected in OWA.
    - Disabling Cached mode on client manually fixes the problem (but I dont want to diable cache mode on 100+ clients)
    - Deleteing the .oab files in the user app data folder fixes the problem, but again,  this is not a real solution.
    What I've tried:
    - The obvious,  updating the  default OAB.
    - Restarting the server 100 times,
    - Restarting the Microsoft File Distribution Service,
    - and gently caressing the server with love.
    Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

  • Forcing Client to Download Latest Source File

    Hi guys,
I'm comfortable with creating a package within SCCM 2007 and deploying to DP's and therefore creating an advertisement then deploying to clients.  I needed to update the package I created, eg. an Office .MSP File and I have updated the DP's with the
update however when I re-ran the advertisement on the client, it was still using the original source files (including original MSP file).  I assume it's obtaining these from the originally downloaded content which is stored on C:\Windows\System32\CCM\Cache.
Without manually deleting the cached copy, is there a way to force a client to download the latest copy from the DP prior to running the advertisement?

    Hi,
the client should after a new policy update relelase that the package version in the cache is old and should download it again..

  • Securing file downloads to a client side download manager.

    The Requirement:
I need to be able to have clients download a java based download manager that will allow them to log in to their account after they have purchased FLAC music files.
The download manager would allow for resume. All of this is really not a problem.
However I need it to be where they cannot download these files directly from server only through this client. And I need to either send a call to server when file is completed or server to somehow track there download.
Can this download restriction be done via JSSE with SSLand Apache or am I looking at the wrong solution.
    Thanks,
    -M. Bazaillion

You could have the server use SSL in such a way so that the only identity that can connect to the server is your client.
You can do that by setting up the server with client authentication required, and a truststore that only trusts one certificate, and install that certificate in the client application's keystore. Don't let that keystore leak and you're done.

  • Podcast client that downloads episodes during sync

Does anybody know of a podcast client for iPhone 4S and iOS 7 that
will download all the podcast episodes physically to my iPhone?
The default Podcast app seems to download episodes only on demand,
but for me that is a problem because that way it maxes out my data volume that is included with my plan very early.
So I'd like to have a podcast client that basically looks at (wht's now called) "my stations" in iTunes (on the Mac), and downloads
all the episodes that are listed there onto my iPhone, so that I can listen to those episodes while on the go.
I don't need any fancy features, just a client that plays one episode after another,
and that lets me skip from one episode to the next one (even if they are not from the same podcast).
I manage my podcast subscription in iTunes (find that most convenient).
I did search the internet, but got confused. I am not sure, one of the frequent mentions (like Downcast or Pocket Casts)
    can do what I want.
I'll appreciate any hint for a podcast client.
    Best regards,
    Gabriel.

Is there a setting on the video-iPod that is not set right?
You may have set your iPod to sync only unwatched videos etc.
Connect your iPod, then when the summary screen appears click on the videos tab.
Change the preference to what suits you best.

  • Java 7 Update 25 Client App Downloaded From Web Start Can't Connect Out

Since Java 7 update 25, I have an issue where my client Java application, downloaded with Java Web Start, can no longer connect to a remote server. (The client uses remote EJB to connect various servers). The issue I believe is that the client application is being blocked by security features of this Java update.
A very quick (random?) fix around the problem is to show the Java console. If the Java console is enabled to be shown, the client application can connect fine.
Although showing the Java console is a quick fix, it's not one we particularly want to keep asking customers to do. I understand we may need to define the Codebase and Permissions in the manifest file as described here: http://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/technotes/guides/jweb/no_redeploy.html..
I have defined the Codebase and Permissions in the manifest of the client jar's we build ourselves. I believe this has worked as we no longer see "Missing Codebase manifest attribute for...." in the console for our own jar's. However, the application still cannot connect out. I'm stumbling around somewhat on this issue and trying various things in an attempt to get this to work. Assuming i'm on the right lines and the problem is some jars missing the Codebase and Permissions in their manifests, my question is, should I and how can I modify the manifest of 3rd party jars to include this information? For example, the client app requires many JBoss and EJB client jars - do I need to somehow modify the manifest of all of these jars to include the codebase and permissions?
It goes without saying that all the jars are signed - the application would not start at all if there was a problem here. So the application starts with it's login box - but it simply cannot connect out to the servers.
If anybody can offer any help on this issue i'd be most grateful. As a quick fix, is there a way to get this to work via adjusting Control Panel settings (other than showing the console)? I have played with a lot but not stumbled on a way to get this to work other than showing the console, although ideally i'd like to be able to get this to work without having to do any tweaks to clients Java control panel.

We're also seeing this. The 7u25 update completely derailed a trial program we were conducting, because no one could log in to our application via WebStart once they upgraded Java.
Our login code crashes because SwingUtilities.isEventDispatchThread() throws an NPE.
We tried theskad81's fix but it didn't work for us. We worked around the issue by hosting u21 on our site and pointing our WebStart page there instead of at Oracle's update site.

  • Cannot find Oracle 10.2.0.4 client patch download for W2K3 32 bit.

    Hi All,
To fix a Oracle client bug I would like to upgrade the Oracle client software from 10.2.0.1 to 10.2.0.4. The bug we are experiencing has been solved in 10.2.0.2. It has to do with Windows memory management. Normal users can only use the client if an administrator has logged on to the system and started the client in another session. Otherwise the client fails.
The Operating system is: Windows 2003 32bit Standard Edition.
The current Oracle client software is the full 10.2.0.1 Oracle client software, not the instant client.
I have spent about three hours and a colleague of mine has searching on Metalink, otn and using google for the 10.2.0.4 or 10.2.0.3 patch and came up with zero?
Could anyone provide me with a way to download this patch? I have found some patch numbers but when I search the patch numbers on Metalink they all turn out to be dead links. :-(
    Regards,
    Michael.

Once you apply the patch, the OUI automatically detects which specific components to upgrade. One of the differences when you apply the patchset against an RDBMS and a client installation is that the RDBMS requires all the databases to perform a post install phase where the data dictionary must be upgraded as well. On the client installation it is just enough to apply the patchset against the client oracle home.
