9i Form won't display
Hi,
I have a simple form that I created in the 9i developer suite. After I start OC4J, I click on the runform button in forms developer to run the form, all I get in the end is a blank screen with an "applet started" message in the console of the browser. I have an old 6i form that runs just fine but can't seem to find the problem with the new 9i form. Anyone have any ideas on where to start looking for the source of this problem?

Thanks for your response. Unfortunatly, that is not the problem as there are no spaces in the form's name. I will clarify that the blank screen I am getting is really a dark blank screen within the browser, with the approximate dimensions of and positioned where my form ought to be. In other words-- I get a big dark grey square in the middle of my browser when I run the form. Also, I'm not getting any error messages which is making this difficult to diagnose.

IRS forms won't display on screen; this just started.
Recently, IRS forms will not display on my screen. I have a Mac and it used to display these forms on the screen. Could the problem be caused by a recent version of Firefox Mozilla.

The memo field in forms won't display text?
I am using Firefox 33.1.1 on a WindowsXP Pro system and have been using FireFox for quite some time . . .
Recently, I must have done something, I just don't know, but I can't seem to remedy the problem.
I create and use a lot of forms. Standard <form></form> HTML forms.
Whenever I pull up a form, I can no longer see any text as I type into the MEMO field. I also don't see any contents of the MEMO field when I recall a record fromn the database within the form.
This is happening ONLY with the MEMO field.
This very message I had to type in notepad and copy and paste it into this bug report form.( OMG - when I pasted this text into this form, I can see the text!! But still not in other forms)
YET, the text is indeed in the form. This text will display when recalling a record to the webpage and displaying the memo field contents on the page.(Not in form)
I have done all I can according to FireFox problem resolution suggestions including uninstalling and reinstalling a fresh pristeen copy of Firefox to a diff location on HD.
I do NOT have this problem when I go into Windows IE. I know there is no problem with the form itself or database contents. This happens on ANY memo field at ANY website, not just mine.
I cannot say if this began after an FF update or not. I feel it may be a simple fix. I may have hit a key or combination of keys that changed a setting causing this, but I dont know where.
Any clues would be helpful.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

This can be a problem with the font that is used to display the text.
You can do a font test to see if you can identify corrupted font(s).

Customer registration form won't display in testing environment.
Hi everyone,
I am using DWCS3 with the free version of MAMP.
I have put a customer registration form together and have just started to add the php $mailSent code.
In design view everything seems to be o.k the three gold shields are displayed at the top of my page.
However when I try to view the page in my local testing environment, the page doesn't display at all I just get a white screen. I was also getting an error message suggesting my site url's weren't mapped properly, or, my server wasn't serving pages with a .php extension.
I checked my datetest page and that is displaying today's date, I also checked my phpinfo page and that is also displaying.
I also checked that my site url's are mapped properly, I would say they are because my other site pages e.g. index page, links page, about page ect are opening up in my testing browser.
I have added my code for anyone to take a look at;
the 1st block of code I added at the top of the document before the <!DOCTYPE> (suggested in The Essential Guide to Dreamweaver CS3)
the 2nd block of code is added just after the page's main heading.
the 3rd line of code is added to the form action in the opening form tag.
Could someone please help, as I am stumped.

Wave forms won't display in timeline
Hello:
I just upgraded to FCP version 5.1 from version 4.5 on my G4 powerbook. The audio plays fine, but for some reason I can't get the waveforms to show up in the timeline. All I see are the red lines and the small "x" symbols on each audio clip. When openning individual audio clips in the viewer the waveforms do not show up there either. I made sure that the "Show audio waveforms" box was checked on the timeline options tab. Could it be a ram issue? I only have 1 gb installed. Any sugggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
--jaypee100I've seen a certain waveform lag on projects, before. You get the X's, and you have to sit at one space in your time line to get the waveforms to update. If you're scrolling a lot, they might appear to not be displaying at all.
Could certainly be a memory issue. Could also be an issue with your audio's codec. I would image an mp3 would take a little longer than an aiff to update, because of the compression. -
Dreamweaver Form Won't Submit- Says Error page cannot be displayed
My dreamweaver form won't submit because it says there is an error. Am I doing something wrong? I don't know much about forms and how they submit but I heard that in order for their to be a confirmation page I have to create a php page? Here's my code. Thanks!

Most likely causes:
The website is under maintenance.
The website has a programming error.
What you can try:
Refresh the page.
Go back to the previous page.

JPG won't display in Image box.
Trying to add a logo in JPG format to the top of the form using the Image control, but it won't display the image nor print it. If I use a GIF file it works fine, but looks horrible. I'm new at this, any ideas?
I finally figured it out after posting another frustrating comment to this thread. I can't take the credit, however, as it was quickly solved by Irv Kanode in another thread. I have copied his exact post below. It solved this issue in seconds:

Thanks for the reply. The images that didn't work were CMYK. When I converted to RGB they worked.
The images that didn't work were coming up with random grey scale colors.

Swf files won't display in Safari

I have the latest Java software and can load the above feed in IE but not Mozilla. I can also load a similar Java feed from
http://www.brmemc.net/brasstown/ in both IE and Mozilla.(Glad to see you're still lurking around here, Wyrenut. Your posts have helped me tremendously. And this comes form somebody who has run and internal developer's support group for quite a few years.)
I also started having this problem after getting my TX hooked up through my home network. I had to set up a wireless access point with only WPA security to get around having to change the WPA2 security on all my other equipment. I applied the ESU upgrade, but that didn't seem to help with WPA2 Personal. Previously, I could get at least half of the pages to come up through the open hotspot in the lobby of our building at work, but I haven't tried that since I applied the ESU upgrade this morning.
I can get to the internet through the access point using a laptop, and I can see the IP address of the Palm coming through the access point on the router's admin page, and the DNS addresses of the PC and the Palm are the same. So I think I'm through, but every page I try gets the 'Page not available' message, even if I enter the IP address of the page rather than the URL.
Is there any other method of debugging available to see if the page is really coming back and locking up Blazer, or whether it's really not coming back at all? Or any other suggestions?
Personally, I sort of liked the old Internet Explorer that counted off how many K were coming through as the page was being loaded. At least you could tell something was happening.

Actually it does display the page, but it doesn't display some of the elements which 3.6 did perfectly & even lowly old IE9 still does
Where do I post the 2 screenshots? - the 1 of IE9? & the other of FF15? - which, it should be obvious, isn't displaying the blue lines down the sidescor-el wrote:

After you asked your question, I did some experimentation by varying
the size of the jpg displaying the long blue bar
& came to a startling conclusion
FF15 has changed its ability to display jpgs, if said jpg is even slightly greater
than 30K on its long (vertical) side
You see, the blue bar isn't generated by FF - it's an independent 8x35Kblubx.jpg,
an 8 x 35,000 pixel blue line, which was custom created in a drawing prg
I can send you the file if you want to see it, but the bottom line is,
the old version of FF used to display it perfectly & in virtually any paint type
or jpg display prg (preferably such as IrfanView or ACDSee etc),
it still will, but NOW, in FF15 it doesn't work
Thus whoever's responsible for finalizing the code at Mozilla/FF (whether it's a committee
or a person making a decision for a committee), they've decided some type of jpgs
just won't display, if they're greater than some arbitrary # of pixels
on its long (vertical) side
So, here it is ; even FF15 runs the HTM perfectly, *if* I restrict the 8x35Kblubox.jpg
to its shorter `brother', which is 8x30Kblubox.jpg
Why 30K is acceptable to FF15, but even 30.5K or certainly 34K isn't,
is completely upto whoever's responsible for deciding what will display on FF15
All right, why the change? - Even IE9 still displays the 35Kblubox
& all the way upto 60K & maybe more (I decided 60K was as big as I'd need
at the time they were created), but FF15 jams out at 30.5!
Clearly it's a FF15 `issue' & should be restored to its former ability to run at least 60K
pixel or greater jpgs (along the long upright edge)

RH 9 / WebHelp output
I added twisties to my project a couple of weeks ago and they worked fine.
Recently I re-organized my images and the twistie graphics were not displaying so I went into the css and updated the path.
The collpage icon displays fine, but the expand will not. I even tried using the collapse icon for the open icon and it still won't display. I put the images back at the root and re-did path, and nothing changed.

For starters, the CSS seems that you are referencing the same exact file. So your Expand and Collapse should be identical. But in your screen capture, it appears that the collapse isn't showing?
If you are really wanting the same image, perhaps make a copy and name the copy slightly differently. Then specify it in the CSS editor or code.
Another thing to try is to right-click and add both images to your project as Baggage files.

My iPhone 5 won't display smart text. It did when I initially downloaded the new OS, now those options don't appear at all. Did I click something to make them disappear?
I went into Settings to see if there was a component of it within Messages. I don't see anything.
