9iRAC with oemapp console

Hi Guys.. I have successfully installed 9iRAC two nodes in Red Hat AS 2.1 (OCFS, Firewire Enclosure Disk). Everything are running well. I can't login to SYS/password and could creat user on both nodes through SQL*Plus. However, I only could connect sys/password to trees node (Listener:RAC,RAC1(node1)) when I tried to check the session...etc in OEMAPP CONSOLE. For RAC2(node1), I could not login as SYS/PASSWORD at all, only able to do SYSTEM/PASSWORD as normal (NOT SYSDBA)... Does anyone face the same problem?
P.S. I could do it in SQL*Plus without any error at all.

Anders

Since you touch the subject- did you follow requirements from Database Release Notes/Install doc and OEM Console OS Certifications? Also an older java run-time is required, but I think 9.2 comes with and uses it's own.
But since error stack points to a missing ), try removing the db name from Console tree and adding it again, before connecting.

  • Initializing with the console doesn't set indexes

    Hi,
We want to change the basedn of a suffixe, from o=isp to o=Courrier,dc=domcomponent,dc=com. I exported my data using a db2ldif -U and modified my ldif with a sed. It seems that after I initialized my new suffixe with the console or the ldif2db.pl script, my indexes are not set. It takes many seconds (60) to receive the response of a basic ldapsearch. (e.g.:uid=tom) The db/Courrier/files has been generated during the initialization. After a reindex with the console (it takes 4 hours), the ldapsearch took 0 second to respond. How can I, index while initializing.
    I'm running version Sun ONE 5.2 (Sun-ONE-Directory/5.2 B2003.143.0020)

    Hi,
Ive experienced the same sort of problem, but have sorted it using either db2index or the console to re-index after initialisation.
According to the docs, re-initialisation should copy down indexes from the MAster server but this does not happen either.

  • Booting x86 with serial console by default

Is it possible to have the x86 installation DVD boot with serial console support by default?

Well, https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Re … nstall_ISO doesn't help, genisoimage created iso is still not bootable.
The iso created with Archiso boots but - it creates an x86_64 kernel only...

  • Nexus 1000V. problem when working with the console VMWare

I have a problem when working with the console VMWare.
Sometimes it is impossible to connect any of the hypervisor to the guest OS managed by them.
I get the message: "Unable connect to the MKS: Host address lookup for server <name of the hypervisor> failed: No such host is known."
This message always appears in conjunction with the reconfiguration of virtual switch: "Reconfigure vNetwork Distributed Switch .... Initiated by Cisco_Nexus_1000V_ ....."
Upon completion of the reconfiguration, Communication console, with guest OS is restored, or on its own or after a reboot srv-vc.
In this time, I do not see any message in Nexus 1000v log.
    What is this?
    Thanks in advance.

Smells of a DNS issue.  Are you sure your ESX hosts are reachable from your client via DNS hostname?  Try pinging them from a command prompt/terminal.  You may have DNS server issues.
As a temp fix, edit your [windowspath]/system32/etc/drivers/hosts file and manually add the ESX host name and IP, then re-test.

  • Problem creating mailing list with Server Console

    Hi,
when I create a new mailing list, I do the following:
    1. Right click on groups folder in Console
    2. Choose New->Group
    3. Entering all data and checking "Mail Account" under Account
The documentation sais, that a Mail-tab should now appear. But this is not the case for me!?
I can only create the group like this and have to add the attribute "mail" - to enter an email address - manually..
Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong or missing something? Also disallowing posting on this group can only be set manually. Shouldnt all this be done using a nice GUI dialog?
I'm using Directory Server 5.2 Patch 2. Also tried 5.2 Patch 4. Both same problem.
    Thanks in advance

  • Booting with mode CLI and not with the console.

    hi,
On a SF300-08, is anybody knows how to work with CLI and not with the Console Menu Interface ?
    Thank you for your help.
    Pascal Linglin

    Hi Pascal.
Firstly make sure your switch is using the most recent firmware, which is now as of yesterday  1.1.2.0 .
    When that firmware is running on the switch,  a textview CLI option should be seen on the main menu as per the following screen capture;
to get back to the menu, just type menu from the cli interface.
    Hope i answered your question?

  • How To grant Permission on Filter with a Console (not with MaxL)

    Hello,
i am new to V11.1.2.1 (in V9 we use Essbase standalone mode and move to Shared Services security mode in V11)
With MaxL i can do a "gant filter MyApp.MyDB.Myfilter to MyexternalUser;"
now i want to do this with Shared Services Console (or with Essbase Administration Web Console).
With the EAS Web Console i can create the MyApp.MyDB.Myfilter.
With Shared Services Console i can give MyexteralUser the permission "Filter" for the Essbase App "MyApp".
But i found no way to grant the Myfilter to MyexternalUser.
What are the steps (other than user MaxL) to do this with a console app ?

Take a look at this thread, 4th post:

Closing the Design Console and re-launching produces similar errors. I must stop and restart the JBOSS server to get access again. My environment is Windows 2003 with JBOSS and an 11g database.

You are correct. If you pre-populate, it will be the requester. The requester would need to manually populate the field during the request with the requestee information. And there is only one form available. You can however, after submission of the request, get the request data, parse the Consolidated Request Data to determine the id's in the request field, and then return appropriate responses to trigger the tasks needed. This will still be a problem in the long run because you can't change the requestee information for each approval task. You're pretty much out of luck on this one.

mmm, it could be CPU, it could be a network-related issue... are you using multicast or unicast?
    can you reproduce the issue?
if yes, can you run "top" to verify the CPU usage,
and do a thread dump on the admin server?
or at that point the box is entirely unresponsive?
in that case, running a scripts which periodically does a thread dump, and running top to sample every 10 seconds, could help...

  • Slim, a problem with virtual consoles and a question about reboot

hi, just installed slim but now when I switch to the virtual consoles my session on X starts firing keyboard events on the consoles I have there, how can I fix that?
I'm using xmonad, my terminal is sakura and I'm starting slim from /etc/inittab and xmonad from ~/.xinitrc
also, it seems slim uses special usernames to halt and reboot however those ask me for the root password, is there a way to avoid that?
    thanks all.

this http://developer.berlios.de/bugs/?func= … up_id=2663 might be related.  out of curiosity, why are you starting slim from /etc/inittab and not as a daemon in /etc/rc.conf?
Samus_ wrote:also, it seems slim uses special usernames to halt and reboot however those ask me for the root password, is there a way to avoid that?
the flippant answer is, "yes, fix slim."  but so as not to be a jerk, 'man slim' turns up this:
The 'halt' and 'reboot' commands need the root password, this may change in future releases.
so i was about to say, "no."  then i decided to hit google with 'slim "special usernames" password'.   unfortunately, your post here is the fourth result, so no love there.
    *but* there's this:
    http://developer.berlios.de/bugs/?func= … up_id=2663
    and this:
    http://developer.berlios.de/patch/?func … up_id=2663
    and the abs.
so if you really want it, read the wiki page on the abs, add the patch to the pkgbuild, makepkg, and pacman -U.  if you don't want pacman to replace your patched version when there's an update, add slim to the IgnorePkg line in /etc/pacman.conf.  you'll have to re-makepkg and re-pacman -U whenever there's an update, but it ain't that hard.
if it works, i might like a copy of yr pkgbuild.  hth!
