A 120 gb classic   ipod will not sync all music

*i have a 120gb classic ipod but my library will not load all my music on my ipod, the ipod is not full at all,the music is there and you can listen to it on the computer but will not sync to the ipod does anyone no what to do get all of the library on my ipod, buy the way i have try all troubleshooting methods which did not work and the entire library list is enable in the summary of the ipod.*

I thought that I was the only one having trouble.
About 6 days ago, I got on the computer to mess around and adjust my genres because some were wrong, the it just froze when I got to a certain artist. My iPod savvy friend said that I should probably restore it to factory settings and all that jazz and I did, since then, when I attempt syncing, it will get to between 10% and 25% synced and I just want to tear out my hair. This thing has been ******* me off for the past almost week. Also, every time I open iTunes, it says that it is determining gapless playback information for 4 songs that are not in my library from what I have seen.....

  • Ipod will not sync all music to itunes

I have just over 200 songs purchased from itunes using using Windows XP. New computer is Vista and when I try to sync from my ipod to itunes I get a message that tells me the last 100 songs cannot be transferred because computer is not authorized. Have re-authorized compter twice with no avail. How do I avoid losing $100 worth of music and build up my library on the new computer?
    Thanks

    Hello over_thetop,
    And welcome to Apple Discussions!
Were these tracks purchased under a different account? Have you tried deauthorizing and reauthorizing to see if that helps.
Otherwise, see if this Apple support document can help.

  • IPod will not sync all music.

I am having the same problem as well. I have updated my iTunes, I have restored by iPod. Since restoring my iPod (I was running into some skipping problems) I have not been able to reload all my music to the iPod. iTunes keeps telling me that I do not have enough space. I have created a playlist to see how many files that I have checked, and I have less than 3GB. I working with a 4GB iPod Mini. I have removed the update playlist only option, it will still only allow me to update playlist and create its own playlist and not just automatically update all songs. Do you have any ideas??

  • My ipod will not put all music by the same artist together

my ipod will not put all music by the same artist together...suggestions, please?  I have already checked spelling on all and checked to make certain they are all listed under the same genre of music

Do the un-syncing ones play in iTunes?
Try directly redownloading them on the iPod
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • My Ipod will not sync new music

ThiS problem has been going on for about a month, ever since i added another Ipod to my playlist/ computer. I can not sync new music on either Ipods that i have i have uninstalled and reinstalled and turned off my Ipod and everything and nothing has worked. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It sounds like you previously synced to a different computer.  Yo can only synce to one computer/iTunes Libray but you can manage music among different computer.  See:
Using iPhone, iPad, or iPod with multiple computers
If you want to permanently change syncing computers best would be to move the backup file from your old computer and move it to the new computer and then restore your iPod from that backup.  For the location of the backup file see:
iPhone and iPod touch: About backups
If you do not have the backup you will have to restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

  • TS1372 my classic ipod will not sync with win7PC even after restore. Help

Today when connecting my ipod to my win7 pc it showed totally empty and failed to sync.  I have restored the ipod but that didn't help.  I cannot transfer my music to an external hard drive.  Do you think it is a problem with my PC and is my entire library in jeopardy?

another way to add contacts (this is wat i use) is to
enable ur ipod for disk usage. Then u go to "my
computer" on ur computer, select ur ipod, and drag
vcard files into the contacts folder
to make vcard files, u can either double click on the
instructions in the contacts folder and then change
the info and save in ur ipod contacts folder as a
vcard, or else open microsoft outlook, type in info,
and save in ur ipod contacts folder as vcard.
(note:hitting save without selecting vcard and ur
ipod will save it to ur ocmputer)
Sorry but I'm not using Microsoft Outlook but Address Book in Mac OS-X!

  • HELP! My 5th Generation iPod Classic will not sync all music.

So, I recently bought a 5th Gen 80GB iPod Classic (used) from eBay and I just got it in the mail today. However, when I try to sync it, it starts to sync normally, the progresses to slow down, and eventually stops syncing. While iTunes is syncing the iPod, the screen on the iPod says that it is "Synchronizing" and eventually goes to the "Connected" screen which is why, i think, it isn't syncing. I went to Best Buy today and bought a new 30-pin to USB cord for the iPod, but that didn't fix it. I also tried syncing the music by artist, album, and even did the same by manually dragging the music into the sidebar where my iPod shows up. Help!

    Sorry, it'a s 6th Generation, not a 5th.

  • Itunes says sofware too old on Ipod, will not sync perchased music or video

    Hello
Well after battling this issue for two years since I purchased my 5th gen ipod here is where I stand. MY ipod does have ver 1.2.1 software installed on the unit. this was done on a friends computer with no problem, in fact my ipod seems to be working just fine, just not with my computer in the studio. I have the latest itunes update in stalled on the computer 7.2, But everytime I try and sync My ipod the message appears that "some file were not transferred because the software on my ipod is too old" SO does anyone out there have any suggestions on how to solve this problem that appears to be computer related? My ipod appears to work properly in all other matters: it shows up on the desktop, in itunes, I can drag files to and it will synce any music in itune that was taken from a CD originally. My system is 10.3.9, 1.5 gig ram, G4 dual processor 1.25 Mhz, dual boot with 9.2.2 and the OS 10.3.9.
I have tried trashing itunes and reinstalling itunes but not change has occured. Any one have a more complete way of getting rid of every ipod and itunes related file and drivers?
    thanks

I appreciate the suggestion but these efforts I have done over and over again and there is no change in the behavior between My ipod and my computer. My ipod will function just fine on a neighboors machine; so I am leaning towards trying to resolve the software issue on my MAC g4 itself.
    thanks

  • My ipod will not sync new music put on it.

I went to ITunes Help.  Clicked on import music and then I was unable to proceed further.   I have synced all the older albums on the Itunes but have not been able to sync the new ones.  Can you help me?

Thank you all for your replies. Here is what i ended up doing. I cannot afford any 3rd party software so i went to itunes and manually entered all my playlists. As I had indicated my purchased music was on my new computer just not the playlists  and I could not sync my ipod. After I rebuilt all my playlists I tried to restore my ipod to factory defaults/new. All of the steps called for in apple support and elsewhere were not available to me. I connected my ipod, went to my computer, right clicked my ipod, and formatted. That wiped my ipod so when I connected to itunes it then gave me a restore option. I did the restore and all is good in the empire again. I can now buy new music and sync my ipod so I am a happy camper.
    Thanks to all.

  • Iphone will not sync all music to computer.

I have the newest version of iTunes and my iphone4 is upto date. Now my "Purchased music" from itunes snced with a little bit of messing with but all my"un-purchased" music will not export to itunes. When I click,"on this phone" the "un-purchased" songs are on there, but it will not goto my itunes library. When I gotto sync, it is saying it will erase all music files on my phone, which is the opposite of what i want. i want to put the rest of my "unpurchased music" on my itunes on my computer. PLEASE HELP!

    Trobinson
The sync for music is a one way sync from ypur computer to iPhone and not  the reverse.  If you can't move the original music into that iTunes library, and that is the best answer, then you will have to look for a 3rd party app to help you.
I have used Senuti when I had a PC disaster to do what you are trying to do.
    Cheers

  • HT1386 my classic ipod did not sync all of the recent downloads from the ipod store?  how can i fix?

i just downloaded a complete album.  when i sync my pod it only downloaded half of the songs.  they are on my laptop library.  they just won't sync to my pod.

See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
You can't merge iTunes accounts, but iPods & iOS devices can hold protected content from up to five accounts, so you shouldn't really need to.

  • I pad will not sync all music and photos

My I pad 2 went into recovery mode after trying to do a software update. Now when I try to put in music and photos it will only put in a little bit of what I have. I tried both methods of syncing and the same results occur. Selected all folders, and selected individual folders, but nothing works.

I'm in the same age bracket and would never give up! I learn new things every day.
Here is a support article that covers a whole host of things for Windows users to try. One of the most common things that you can try first is to disable your antivirus software and firewall and see if that helps. Restart your PC and the iPad, check for driver updates, etc. All of this is covered in the article and the links in the article.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538
This is how you restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

  • My replacement iPod will not sync. I've purchase new songs and albums and can see them on my PC. but they will not sync. When I select the devises from the menu the Sync is greyed out..

I just had to replace my classic iPod, lost all my music (except previously purchased). New (refurbished) iPod will not sync the new music I've just purchased or the CD's I've uploaded. When selecting the Devises in the menu, Sync is greyed out. I need help. When I plug my iPod into the PC and is shows it is syncing it only picks up my previous music,

See this article how to transfer your data? How to back up your data and set up as a new device
Make sure your new computer is authorized in iTunes. Disable autosync in itunes, connect your ipod, right click on it in the device list and choose backup.
This will save data, pictures and settings to itunes. See what's included in this backup here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
Transfer your purchases the same way to copy all apps and bought media from the Store to your computer.
Set up at least one contact and event on your computer to be able the merge your calendars and contacts after your ipod got wiped during the first sync.
The rest of the data can be restored from the backup you made.
    Restoring: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
As mentioned by vazandrew, music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.
There is 3rd party software out there, but not supported by Apple, see this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2013615&tstart=0
