A 15GB problem hel

i have a sony pc that came with sonicstage software and 5gb of music on my hard dri've and want to move it to my NEW 40 gb nomad jukebox zen extra. i am very much the newbie at the portable player game and need help. i am not able to import those files and i suspect a conversion to another format is needed. i hope this is possible as i already obviously have a lot of time tied up here already getting that music on the hard dri've! HELP!!

I had thought so.
The Zen Micro can only play MP3, WMA and WAV files.
Sony had developed their own format, which is supposedly of quite good quality, but sadly very, very proprietary.
You will have to convert those files if you want to play them anywhere but on a Sony player.
If you want to go to all that trouble anyway, you should, if those files also come from your CDs, rip and encode them again, this time in MP3.
As far as my experience goes, nothing can really beat Lame MP3 92 kbit CBR :-) And if you want higher bitrates, you should also go with some format that is at least readily playable with the right plugin, at least on a PC (OGG, FLAC, MPC, etc.)

Apple TV Causes Blue Screen in Windows Vista when syncing purhcases

strange problem. I have a windows vista ultimate 32bit pc running iTunes 8.0.2 my library is about 240gb i have 54000 songs and about 200 videos/tv shows etc. I have an Apple TV and an iTouch remote.
Everything worked fine until i bought all 5 seasons of a show from Apple TV. ATV downloaded all of the shows then began the process of syncing them back to my PC. About 10 min into the Sync - my computer Blue Screens. I've turned off all firewalls (locally) and disabled or removed AV software temporarily.
HELP! this is driving me insane and about the only thing i've been able to do is isolate the problem to the ATV syncing.

Guys, I got the answer, and so that it's here for future reference:
It was not the Apple TV, though the Apple TV is what exposed the problem. The problem is with CA Internet Security 2010, which, for some reason, installs and creates corruptions in some network drivers. The solution can be found here:

J2EE user authorization

Hell all,
This is related to XI3.1, which is J2EE+ABAP system.
I knwo that Roles in ABAP are called Groups in UME (J2EE) because J2EE has their own roles. ABAP roles are assigned in PFCG or SU01 and can only be viewed in UME console. Same users can be assigned to J2EE roles using UME colsole and these roles are maintained using UME console. They are called Roles in UME.
My question is regarding createting a user and resetting a password. Do I have to create a user in ABAP only using SU01 and reset the password in ABAP system only.
OR
I can do it in UME as well.
Because I see a create, modify button in UME where I can change the user password and create a new user.
AND if possible in both then whic one is advisable?

Anyway, my experience is that usually User Maintenance is done on the ABAP stack via SU01, which is considered the master, and then an automated mechanism (I couldn't go deeper by now) replicates on J2EE stack.
Obviously if you have to deal with J2EE specific auth, you have two approaches:
- strict: create dummy roles on ABAP, assign them and wait for replication
- easy: modify auth direcly on J2EE via UME (supposing J2EE is not locked on this function 'cause it's aware of being a slave in this process)

Problem beim Drucken. Ausdrucke sind hell und grünstichig.

Trotz unveränderte Farbmanagementeinstellungen sind Ausdrucke unbrauchbar. Hell und grünstichig.
Auch bei gescannten Testbildern ohne jede Bearbeitung.
Testweise die Farb-Optionen im Druckmanager von Drucker auf Elements umgestellt, Druckermodell gewählt,
keine Änderung.

versuche es noch mal genauer zu erklären.
Wir haben z.B. eine Photoshopdatei mit den 16535 x 11204 Pixeln (140 x 94 cm bei 300 dpi). Wenn wir diese Drucken wollen erscheint in der Druckvorschau bei der Vorschaugröße 29,7cm x 20,96cm. Die Mediengröße wird somit auf ca. 20% herunterskaliert. Obwohl in den Druckereinstellungen DIN A3 ausgewählt wurde.
Wenn ich das so Drucke wird das Bild zwar auf DIN A3 Papier gedruckt aber das Bild wird darauf nur mit 29 x 21 cm gedruckt (also in DIN A4 Größe).
Liegt das Problem jetzt an Photoshop oder am Drucker(-treiber)?

i have the audigy2 zs.
as i had problems with my 3d sound i reinstalled my sounddrivers, i got this problem about "plxcore.plx wasn't found blah blah", i used google and read how to fix it, next time i reinstalled driver i copied the file into the correct folder during the installation-process so that the error notification didn't appear.
so far.
but when i now want to open my eax-console, i got the first time a notification from my firewall that "dr. watson postmortem debugger" is being launched, i said "ok", nothing further happened. when i later tried to open the eax-console, my cursor turns into that hourglass, but it still wasn't opening. i tried it via start-menu, via explorer and via the speaker options; of course i tried re-installing and updating the eax-console, too, but i was not successfull in solving my problem.
last thing i tried was renaming "plxcore.plx" to "_plxcore.plx". i just thought that this little fellow was the problem during the installations, so it might cause my latest problems, too. and actually, after renaming it, the eax-console opened. so i ask you: do i really need this file? what is it for?
i haven't got any problems until now, it's just that when i am re-renaming the file back to "plxcore.plx" it isn't working again... weird O_oMessage Edited by Quichybo on 09-4-2005 02:09 PM

okay, now i recognised that i dont have real eax anymore, it happens that when i start an programm that uses eax, for example unreal tournament 2004, i just have no sound. what a shame.
plxcore.plx is just in that temp directory i extracted it to when i had to do it manually cause it was needed in the installation.
than i have the renamed version in the shared files directory in my creative folder...
both were last changed at :09, on 2th november 2002

great, i just checked when he last READ the file and i saw that it was still in use (i mean the file in that temp directory), i deleted it and i now have full eax in UT2004
let's hope that my computer will survi've a reboot...

My Blackberry 9810 is creating a hell lot of problems, I need to get it replaced but no one is helping me out

Well guys I just bought a new Blackberry 9810 on April 23rd 2012 from Jalandhar(Punjab) and on the very first date i faced a problem. It was so that I couldnt hear the call coming and if at all my attention was towrds my phone and i happened to picked it I couldnt hear the caller's voice and neither could he hear mine. I took out my battery and restarted the phone to rectify it. It happened about three to four days the very first day. Next morning I went to vendor, who told me to get the software updated from service centre. I did as told, went to service centre and got the software uploaded the very second day of my purchase.For nearly three four days everything was fine with my handset. As i had to travel out of station for wedding in family, i left my city Jalandhar on 4th May 2012. It was on 5th May 2012 i faced the same problem and during my ten days stay there I was completely bugged up as everyday I had to go through the same turmoil about 7 to 8 times a day. I was being mocked by my frens and relatives that " you have wasted Rs. 27000" on this wrong purchase. I was really taken a back as i m freelance writer, so i lost much of my business due to my phone being swithced off. I spoke to the vendor from Delhi he told me you come back i ill speak to service centre authority and will get ur handset changed. When I was back I visited the service centre and made him speak to my vendor too. He returned my battery and back cover of handset so i understood they wont change the handet. I insisted them to replace it but all they could say the company will replace it if need be. So i kept quiet, i got my handset back after three weeks from the service centre with a hope that it will be well in shape, but to my dismay the very next day i faced the problem again. In all this chaos i noticed that it is only when i put the memory card i face this problem so i formated my card and tried again but problem persisted than i took memory card out from my phone and it worked well for a week's time. After which i bought a new memory card thinking that my last memory card might have been infected with virus but the problem started agin. I again went to vendor he told me to go to service centre and tell the person to change the handset or IME number, I did the same. But again when I got my handet back neither was it replaced nor the IME number was changed and on top of it the problem still persited and also its hanging a lot. I am in an imbroglio and literally repenting over this purchase. Also i have to listen to constant rebuking of my parents. I seriously want to get it replaced. Can anyone tell me how?

Well first off you should demand that the vendor who sold it to you stand up and do what is right and exchange the unit for a new working one!

What the ihell is going on?
I have been burdened with activation issues for weeks - see my previous thread. I have had no response here from Adobe about how to fix it. Please don't say this is a 'user to user' forum. It isn't a 'U2U' forum when Adobe state this is the first place we should look!
Now, no CC program will run owing to something called 'Activation problem 194:100'.
Yes, I have logged out. Yes, I have rebooted. Yes, I have deactivated 'more than 2 machines'. Why should I have to repeatedly click to 'deactivate 2 previous activations' when there has NEVER been more than one activation?
Adobe not only make me look a laughing stock in the classroom but this constant issue that has been going on for weeks now subliminally tells students Adobe software is useless!
When will I be able to use CC again? I am paying for it remember!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to Adobe Forum.
CC has only EVER been activated on ONE PC.
If you look at http://forums.adobe.com/message/6198690#6198690 you'll see (like many other users) I have to constantly sign in and reactivate. It is probably this that is causing the multiple activations.
However, to reiterate, CC is only running on ONE computer. It has not at any time been activated on more than the same PC. One activation - one PC.
So, the suggestion of waiting a few hours (if the prog won't activate / run) is less than adequate. Like everyone else, I pay to have it running 24 hours a day - every day.

My brother bought me a Zen Micro 5gb for my birthday last May 2005. a couple of months ago my micro became victim of the headphone jack problem! I can't find the receipt anywhere, can I still send it away to be fixed?

Installation problem | Unable to contact Adobe (Was: Go to hell, Adobe!)

After having problems installing the creative cloud desktop application, I contacted the technical telephone-support several times.
Noone could really help, and now I´ve been set into a waiting line for more than 10 minutes, ending with an interruption of the call by adobe.
I can hardly imagine an enterprise with worse customer support and more software bugs than adobe!!!

doof gedacht schon mal den download über ein anderen Browser getestet und dann installier?
versuch auch mal folgendes bei windows (und geh bitte genau die Schritte nach):
1. Gehe bitte auf Start/Systemsteuerung/Programm und Funktionen und klicken Sie bitte den Adobe Creative Cloud an und führen Sie die deinstallation aus.
2. Führe das Adobe CC Cleaner Tool aus: http://helpx.adobe.com/de/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html und löschen nur den Adobe Applikationen Manager, ggf. auch die Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop.
3. Lösche bitte folgenden Ordner: [Systemlaufwerk]:\Benutzer\[Benutzername]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
4. Gehe dann bitte auf folgenden Link und Laden sich die aktuelle Version herunter: http://www.adobe.com/de/appsmanager/index.html

Am Having Problem with iPod 15GB

My iPod died today. It froze up during play, and I reset it, only to find that when it started again, it would play the Apple logo and the !folder sceen back over and over in a loop, not allowing anything to load. I couldn't even turn it off and had to wait for the battery to run out before it would stop the loop. During that loop, the only thing available to do was to reset it, which did absolutely nothing at all.
Now that it is off, I have it on an AC charger, but I have no idea if its actually charging as as soon as I plugged it in, it started the loop again. No battery/charging icons show at all.
I have read the manual and checked out the icon. I've reset it, TRIED to update it- I downloaded the 2006-1-10 update, but when I try to update its software, the iPod turns itself off and the updater says it "can't mount iPod"
UPDATE: I just managed to get it into disc mode, and it now shows a charging battery icon. If anyone has an explanation for why my iPod is doing this, i'd be really grateful.
Its not as if it never gets used or anything - I drain its battery every day and fully recharge it at night.
It is also used as an external hard drive and holds 3GB of data along with about 2GB of music - its 15GB limit isn't anywhere near full. The model is A1040 15GB Windows XP configured iPod.

Thanks. The computer doesn't recognise the iPod very well anymore. I tried updating and restoring, but it failed during the restore, and I now have a half screwed iPod, that is, it no longer displays the !folder, but has all its menus and whatnot back. All my music and data is gone, and I can't load anything on it at all.
When I opened my computer to check the iPod's properties, it showed the F: Removable Drive icon, but when I rightclicked on it, it refused to respond and I had to CtrlAltDelete to get out of it. Same thing happened to the Updater. I tried all the updaters I had to no avail.
I'm doing a diagnostic mode HDD scan, and am hoping that it is going to show up something more substantial than the evidence of dead iPod I have now. At least I know its dead, then.
I'm already sick and tired of trying to fix it, so I have a new 5th gen 30GB model winging its way to me.

PC Suite only allows sms restore via a backuped .nbu/backup.arc file.
A workaround: to keep a copy on the phone, you can convert the saved sms on your pc to a .txt or .pdf and save it to your phone.
