  • Keys are locked

I was making a call, and when I finished, the buttons no longer work on the phone. I have rebooted, but nothing changes. Help!

Oh, Okay I'll try that an let you know.FYI  It's kind of a combination of both. Because the keys are locked, I'll take the battery out to reset the phone. After it resets I have about 20 seconds before the screen goes black. So it's hard to tell if it's the battery or because I couldn't unlock the keys in the allotted time.

Can't really tell what going on from so little to go on. Are the keys actually locked? Or does it just not work? It sounds awfully like a discharged battery
Plug it into the PC with the proper BB data cable and then take the battery out for 30 minutes. Then replace the battery whilst leaving it plugged in. If it doesn't reboot, leave it for a couple of hours, then repeat the process, all the while with it plugged in.

Try an external keyboard. If it works, you need a new internal keyboard.

    Hi,
While this could be a hardware issue, it's always worth trying the following.
Open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager, expand Keyboards, right click the entry 'Standard PS/2 Keyboard' and select Uninstall.
    Shutdown the notebook.
Then unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery.  Hold down the Power button for 30 seconds.  Re-insert the battery and plug in the AC Adapter.
Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to launch the Start-up Menu and then select f10 to enter the bios menu.  Press f9 to load the defaults ( this is sometimes f5, but the menu at the bottom will show the correct key ), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.  Press f10 to save the setting and again use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.

  • PRD and KDM keys are hitting

    Dear All,
After doing MIGO a/c entries are correct for import purchase order.
but KDM and PRD keys are getting hitted and some amount is getting debited to G/L which is assigned to KDM key in OBYC and same amount is getting credited in G/L which is assigned to PRD key in OBYC. Thus effect is zero but i am not able to understand why these keys are hitting as there is no price difference.
please let me know the reason if someone went thru same thing.
    Naren.

    Dear NArendra
    1. Transaction event key KDM will be trigerred when we post invoice first and later on there will be a exchange rate difference occured by the time Goods receipt takes place and also if the material having Standard price control.
Exchange rate differences in the case of open items (KDM)
Exchange rate differences in the case of open items arise when an invoice relating to a purchase order is posted with a different exchange rate to that of the goods receipt and the material cannot be debited or credited due to standard price control or stock undercoverage/shortage.
    2.  Transaction event PRD will trigger on different reasons. Material maintained with price control Standard price and the Price in PO is different . Ple3ase refer SAP std documentation on PRD.
    Price differences (PRD)
Price differences arise for materials valuated at standard price in the case of all movements and invoices with a value that differs from the standard price. Examples: goods receipts against purchase orders (if the PO price differs from the standard pricedardpreis), goods issues in respect of which an external amount is entered, invoices (if the invoice price differs from the PO price and the standard price).
Price differences can also arise in the case of materials with moving average price if there is not enough stock to cover the invoiced quantity. In the case of goods movements in the negative range, the moving average price is not changed. Instead, any price differences arising are posted to a price difference account.
Depending on the settings for the posting rules for transaction/event key PRD, it is possible to work with or without account modification. If you use account modification, the following modifications are available in the standard system:
    a. None for goods and invoice receipts against purchase orders
    b. PRF for goods receipts against production orders and
    c. order settlement
    d. PRA for goods issues and other movements
    e.  PRU for transfer postings (price differences in the case of external amounts)
    warm regards

  • Satellite C50-A-15Q - arrow, question mark key and z key are not working

I have a Satellite Pro, C50-A-15Q. All keys were working fine yesterday, today I turn the laptop on and the arrow keys, question mark key and z key are all not responding. Any idea how I can fix this?
I have tried turning the laptop off and on, hoping (naively) that this would fix, but to no avail.

As Tom already wrote, it is not easy to say for sure if this malfunction is result of defective keyboard or maybe keyboard controller. In my opinion troublemaker is the keyboard itself.
Have you maybe updated BIOS or done anything that could be responsible for this?
I presume your notebook is pretty new model with valid warranty so best option for you is to contact nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.

  • Our students have entered passcodes when downloading ios 7 update and now ipads are locked, help!

Our students have entered passcodes when downloading ios 7 update and now ipads are locked, help!

If the iPad is running iOS 7 and the kid set up Find My IPad, then you can't restore it without the kid's Apple ID and password. The Activation Lock is a feature that people whined and whined to get, and is causing exactly the sort of problems many of us predicted when people were clamoring for it. If you can't get the kid's Apple ID, you'll have to call Apple Support and ask if they have any sort of workaround. My guess is that they'll have to replace the iPad, but they may have a solution they don't talk about publicly.
This won't help for iPads currently locked for which you can't get the Apple ID, but if before you give out iPads to your students you go into the Restrictions and disallow changes to the accounts, they can't then turn in Find My iPad. Or you can set up Find My iPad yourselves to your own accounts and then lock the Restrictions so they can't set iCloud up to an account to which you don't have the Apple ID.
    Regards.

  • My O, L, and '.' keys are not working!

I have a question. I have a PowerBook G4, 1.5 GHz, Aluminum. Recently, my "o", "l", and "." keys are working intermittently. Half the time, they do not work. This is not a software problem as I have an external keyboard. Does anybody know what's going on??? I don't.

Sounds like a cracked trace on the keyboard PWB.  Best to just replace the keyboard.  You might get more information at this link:
    http://www.powerbookmedic.com/Powerbook-Keyboard---G4-Aluminum-p-16506.html
Replacement can be a bit involved:
    http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Installing-PowerBook-G4-Aluminum-15-Inch-1-1-5-GHz-K eyboard/223/1
In this case, the Titanium models have the Aluminum models beat, as replacing a Titanium keyboard is a 2-3 minute process, tops.

  • Is VOFM Access key and Developer Key are different

is VOFM Access key and Developer Key are different
    Please help me on this

Developer key is user-specific which gives a particular user the developer rights, such as program creation/modification. It is enough to enter the developer key only once for a user.
On the other hand VOFM/ Object key is object-specific which can be used to edit a SAP standard program Or create a new program in SAP name space(in case of routines).
Both keys can be registered and obtained from Service Market Place.

  • Caps lock, delete and tab key are not working on my Apple wireless keyboard

I see that a lot of users have had this same issue. I have tried all the "tricks" suggested, but keys are still not functioning.

    Try a smc reset
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
Try a pram reset: power off, power back on holding the keys: option, command, P ,R (no commas) press them before the start chime, and hold them till you hear the start chime 32 times, then release and reboot.
If still no joy try a safe boot, power off, power back on holding the shift key. Continue to hold the shift key till you see the progress bar, let it finish booting, and see if t works.
    The code thing is wierd.
If none of these help your issue, bring it to an APPLE store or a AASP and have it checked out it have a bad top, or logic board/HD.

  • CTRL, ALT and SHIFT keys are sticking (not physically)

I am having a problem with the T-61p I have been using for 2 years now.
About once every 2 days Windows thinks that either the CTRL, the ALT or the SHIFT key is held down.  I only notice this when my mouse's left click or my arrow keys starts behaving funny (like opening dialogs when clicking on icons or highlighting text on a page in MS Word) instead of moving the cursor as they should.
When this starts happening, pressing the CTRL, ALT and SHIFT buttons causes the strange behavior to stop.
None of the keys are physically stuck down.  I am using an external keyboard with my laptop closed and docked.  I have tried switching keyboards, and I get the same results with brand new Logitech keyboards.
What could this be?  Has anyone seen this problem before?
    Your help is much appreciated.

    Welcome to the forum!
It sounds like you've inadvertently turned on the Sticky Keys accessibility feature.  Since you didn't mention which operating system you're using, I can't tell you how to turn it off.  Trying searching for Sticky Keys in Help in the Start button menu.
    Hope this helps!

  • The Pound and Hash keys are transposed on my (UK) iMac since upgrading to Mac OS X Lion.

After upgrading my (UK) iMac to 10.7 I find that the £ and # keys are transposed i.e. shift-3 gives # and alt-3 gives £ which, I assume, is the standard US layout. I also upgraded my MacBook but this transposition didn't occur. What's going on here?!
