If it is not compatible, what do you think that you can do?
Have a long talk with the two devices and see if you can convince them to put their differences aside.

The phone, which I bought from him, was stolen, and now, after ~3-4 month, police called that I'm a suspect !

I am having trouble with custom color settings. It randomly reverts back to North American General Purpose without warning. This is a big problem for me. My customers (professional photographers) expect consist colors in my printing. Help!
Do you even know how to nuke and re-set Photoshop's preferences, colorplak? Your last post seems to reveal that you don't understand what I'm talking about. Here's a link you can click on:

To re-create the preferences files for Photoshop, start the application while holding down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS). Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"
Note: If this process doesn't work for you while you're using a wireless (bluetooth) keyboard, attach a wired keyboard and retry.
Important: If you re-create the preferences by deleting the Adobe Photoshop CC Settings file, make sure that you only delete that file. If you delete the entire settings folder, you also delete any unsaved actions or presets.
Reinstalling Photoshop does not remove the preferences file. Before reinstalling Photoshop, re-create your preferences.
Note for Photoshop 14.1 and later: If you use Generator and reset your Preferences, Generator is disabled. Choose Preferences > Plug-ins to turn it back on.

Big problem with my 4th Gen, please help !!!

Well I've a big problem with a 4th gen Ipod. The prob is that the Select button on the middle doesn't work.
I've tried everything : Did a reset, a complet restore from Itunes 7, but it was unsuccesful.
I don't really understand the problem, I was using the Ipod normally then suddenly the button didn't work !!
Please help me. In addition, I cannot carry it to the Apple Centre because I live in Algeria.

I've tried to open it as well, I've unplugged all the connectors, cleaned it with alcohol, but the button still not responding.
Do you think that the problem would come from the logic board ?? Because the button itself worked (I used a METRIX to test it), and I can make a reset with no problem (the reset needs the central button).

Big Problem with brand new iPod please help ME!!
Hi, I just today got a brand new iPod. I pluged it into my computer and put on about 700 songs immediatly. Then, I tried to put video on my iPod. It said it would not do this because it's not the right type of iPod. But it is a 5th Gen. iPod and it can play video. Anyway, I installed the latest iPod updater. Now, it says to install the new iTunes 6.01. So I tried but it says my disk is full. It is not full. Also, do I have to keep my previous "iPod for windows" files that are occupying space on my disk?

If you can back your songs up, and you have not rated a slew of them already, it might be a good idea to uninstall iTunes, then reinstall it and use the ipod updater to wipe the iPod. Just make sure you download and install 6.01 before you plug the iPod in. Maybe that will get you past the disk full problem. Just something to try. -
Before you crucify me please read the problem I've outlined below, because it's not the same issue other people are having. I did research the forums for the particular issue I'm having and it's not the same as what's already been posted. Please let me explain.
Here is my machine info.
iMac running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 on 2.5 GHZ Intel core.
Safari Version 5.1.7
I run two instances of Safari. I will have 1 safari browser window open on the left side of my screen with 7 tabs all on pages that require login. I run a second instance of Safari on the right side of my screen with only one tab open logged into 1 web page.
Here's what happens. Ocassionaly when switching the focus from one browser to the other all of my logged in web pages will refresh and I'll be logged out of all my logged in web pages, on both open browsers. There's never a certain amount of time that this happens, I've had it happen 3-4 hours into my work day and I've had it happen 10 minutes into my work day. I've also had this occure when I'm putting the focus from one browser window to the other and then I go to resize the width of the window I just put the focus on.
I'm thinking that there must be some setting or short cut "gesture" built into Safari that I'm triggering to make this happen, however I have looked at all the settings and can't seem to find anything that would cause this.
Any help or advice is apprecaited.BDAqua - I have two Safari windows open - I guess in my semi technical mind that equated to two instances. But your probably right, just one instance of app with two windows open.
About two minutes after I posted my question, I was doing some work in one of my tabbed web pages, as I pressed the submit button to update the record on that page and as the page was refreshing I clicked my mouse on the second open Safari window to put the focus on that window, as soon as I put the focus on the second open browser I got logged out of all my logged in tabs in both windows.
The time it happened was sometime between 14:30 and 14:35
I'm looking at the Sytem Log. IN the filter I typed Safari and nothing came up from today in the log.
Just looking at "All Messages" between the hours of 1430 and 1435 their are no messages about safari, just the following.

hello everyone! thanks for taking the time to read this. I am managing hotels and they requested going via computer compared to hands-on. what programs do you recommend for the hotel management software when one does a reservation online to send a notice and when guests check-in?
also, does anyone recommend a good GDS type program to have customers do online reservations via my website and to help advertise it? thank you again!
p.s. this is for MAC only - not PC. thank you..For any online activity, personally I would have a customized application written in something like PHP (for scalability instead of being fixed and needed eventual upgrades as in ASP or dotNet).
Perhaps you can search at cnet for a review. I do not know of any specific software for hotel/rest management for Mac, but I'm sure there are commercial programs of some sort that could be repurposed. -
hello, i have an iBook G4 which is old, it has an OS of 10.4.11 which is called tiger i think, forgive me im new to apple,
it has a version of itunes installed (9.2) which worked fine with my 1st gen ipod touch but ive upgraded to a 4th gen ipod touch and now my itunes version is no longer compatible, the problem is that because my os is out of date i cant install the current version of itunes so i think i need to upgrade my OS.

But first of all make sure that your iBook is above 800Mhz and you have at least 512 Meg of memory. (1 GB recommended)
Please note, that if you do install Mac OS X 10.5 on your iBook, it will not allow you to install the latest version of iTunes version 11. The most recent version of iTunes that can be installed would be 10.5, which will be compatible with your iPod touch 4th gen, provided it's not been updated to iOS 6.
Sadly you can't install any version of Mac OS X above 10.5 Leopard, as it they requires an Intel processor, which your iBook G4 does not have.

When I try to start firefox it starts to open but then suddenly dies everything. it appears in Task Manager that it is running. I have tried everything but nothing works. so please help me fix this problem so I can continue to use firefox.
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Sometime ago (forgot when), my Mac will suddenly use up all the storage spaces and RAM. I have to restart the computer then the used strorage will restore. Glad that this doesn't always happen, but still occasionally. Anyone knows what's the problem?

I would also recommend trying the free "Memory Clean" app in the App Store to quickly free up memory on your mac. I use it daily and it's pretty good.

Big Problems w/ Tiger...please help!!
I've been running Tiger on my G5 for about a week now, and something has just gone wrong. None of my applications will open...I get the "application quit unexpectedly" for just about all of them. Safari opens, but the pages are scrambled. I tried to re-install Tiger, but the computer seems to have forgotten my account name and password---becuase when I enter them, it says they are incorrect. Also, the computer will not restart or shut down correctly. I wait and eventually have to turn the power off. I'm out of solutions. Any ideas???

2. What changes, if any, did you make to your Mac before this problem arose?

Big problem installing... Please someone help :-(
Ok I started up the bootcamp assistant (with my windows xp disc already in the MacBook) and continued to partition the drive as shown on the video demonstration on the apple website. I believe I gave it 80gb for windows and the rest of the 250gb to the mac. I believe this was about 70gb. Now once the partitioning was done the windows installer automatically came up without me pressing anything. It went through a short installation process on a blue screen and came up with the option to choose a partition.
This is where I realised there was an issue. There was only one option present for the partitions. This partition was called partition 1 and had around 120gb all of which was available. I thought this didn't look correct so I quit out. A warning came up saying that the installation wasn't complete. Now when I start the mac is goes to a plane black screen. If I start it up holding the alt key it only displays one hard drive named windows.
I am now very worried all my stuff stored on the mac is is gone. Can someone please explain what I did wrong because I didn't format the drive or anything and so did not delete anything at all on the hard drive. I feel like everything should be there but I can't get into it. Putting in my os install disc didn't help at all. Please someone help!I think its that its tried to install it on my initial partition for some reason. But like I said I did not even go far enough to choose a partition. It did some installation stuff on the blue screen without me pressing a single button. The minute it wanted me to pick a partition and then format it I realised there was something wrong and backed out. I have no idea why it is now coming up as windows. My main question really is: is there anyway to get it back to what it was? I would really appreciate any help on this matter as I feel a bit out of my depth
NOTE: I realise it was ridiculous of me to do it without first backing up all my data, however the video made it look fool-proof and also I only was planning at that point to create the partition first. But as soon as I created the partition the blue screen came up and it started to install. I pressed nothing at all at that point, and it didnt take very long so I couldnt see how it would delete all my data.

How did you originally install iWork on the Mac Pro? was it preinstalled? The machine seems old enough that you should have an original install DVD that came with the mac pro.

To move tables between sheets you can select the table, copy, then paste after activating (by clicking) the destination sheet. If you really mean move, then use the cut command (rather than copy).
To copy... use the menu item "Edit > Copy"
To cut... use the menu item "Edit > Cut"
