A bit complicated mesh topology

Hi all!
I am trying to deploy a indoor mesh with LAP1262N APs and WLC 5500.
With a simple topology like this,
WLC ----- SWITCH ----- RAP ))) ((( MAP
clients can connect with all APs, but...
I want to connect another AP (I don't know if RAP or MAP) with the previous MAP via ethernet port, like this
WLC ----- SWITCH ----- RAP ))) ((( MAP -----PowerLineCommunication ---- RAPorMAP
Is not possible go to the switch wired from the last AP and is not possible connect the last AP via radio.
Well, in this scenario I can access and manage the last AP (RAPorMAP into schema) with WLC, but clients can't connect with the last AP.
Somebody know if it's possible use this topology? and, How I configure it?

Why are you deleting the playlists form iTunes?
Leave them on there and you can sync them anytime you want you the iPod.
Since you find the software useful and actually use it, pay the small fee.

The 1552's need to be setup as a RAP (the ap on the same location as the WLC) and the other two as a MAP. This is part one to get the MESH up and talking.

The next thing you need to do is Ethernet bridging because you are connecting switches/device to the Ethernet of the MAP's

The tricky question is if the 1600's work behind a MAP. This is what you will have to test. The MESH AP's use a different ssid to communicate on the backhaul, so no matter what WLAN's you configure on the WLC, the mesh has its own. Vlan's are decided when you configure Ethernet bridging as the RAP now needs to be connected to a trunk port along with the MAPs if your going to use multiple vlan's. Or else all traffic will be passed to the native vlan or the vlan that the RAP is on.

Wireless Mesh topology parent child optimization. How do you force a reconfig?

Release 6 controller
9 Mesh APs. 1524 (2x 5G radios, 1x 2.4G) and 1522 (1x 5G radios, 1x 2.4G)
Designed for 3 linear hops and then a split to the rest.
AP1 = Root AP
linear to
AP2
Linear to
AP3
Linear to
AP4
equidistant to
AP5 and AP6
The rest are further away from AP4, but have visibility back to AP 4
The issue is after an event (say a power outage) at AP4.
AP5 uses AP3 as it's parent.
That's okay during the power failure, but when AP4 comes back up, I want to force AP5 to switch it's parent to AP4.
You may ask why, if AP5 can reach AP3 okay, it's okay to leave it that way.

So you can see it's desireable now that AP5 uses AP4 as it's parent.
Over time, the system might figure it out, but our limited experience shows it seems to stick to the way it is.
To complicate matters, sometimes we've found that it doesn't seem to reconfigure when the channel number has changed so AP5 can reach AP3, but AP4 (1524) comes up with a different channel on it's downlink radio.
So, how can we force a mesh topology reevaluation/change for either 1 AP or the whole bridge group?
I thought changing the bridge speed from "auto" to 54M (on AP3 above, for example) might force the attached children to rethink it, but it didn't seem to work (maybe I needed to wait an hour?).
I also thought tweaks to "Radio Performance Profile" for radio might help. (not sure what to change, or how long to wait for a result)
suggestions on how to quickly reconverge?
reseting APs and hoping they come back in a better topology is painful and slow.

Glen, I know this is a very old topic but we are suffering from similar conditions on our end. Even using directional antennas we are having a difficult time having the Mesh network consistently optimize itself. Did you guys ever find a tweak that worked for you to have the system re-evaluate the connection by packet loss on speed?

1242 and 1310 LAP - Mesh Topology

Hi,
We have project with 4402 Controller with 1310 LAP's. 1310 LAP doesn't support mesh topology. 1242 LAP does. Can I use 1310 LAP as root AP and 1242 LAP's as Mesh APs. Does it work?

No, that won't work. For an AP to be a RAP it must have the bridging image loaded and have its role set to be a RAP.

Stolen iPad (bit complicated)

Dear Y'all,
Like the title said, it's a bit complicated situation I'm in now..recently my iPad got stolen, and I managed to track it back to the last location the culprit was. However the culprit immediately shut off the device so I couldn't track it further. I try the Police, but they ask me for proof of ownership..and here is the my situation...:
I bought the iPad from my friend who had his iPad replaced due to product defect. He got a receipt that concisted all the new information regarding the replacement iPad from Apple authorized reseller. The thing is, I lost the receipt...I only have its box that doesn't match with the iPad serial number nor IMEI because it has been replaced... However, months before the event, I registered my device to "Find my iPhone" app... to process my case, the Police needs my serial number and IMEI, and my question is: "Is there possible to retrieve the iPad information from iCLoud?" because I tried and there was not much information you could access into your each device..

Clean Air in 1552 Mesh Topology

Is Clean Air supported on MAP and RAP 1552E at a 2,4 Ghz in a mesh toplogy.?????
at web cisco page: "cleanAir is supported on mesh AP backhaul at a 5-GHz radio of mesh"

Yes it is supported on the 1552 on both. The 5ghz though you have to hard set the channels so it will not switch channels

Embedded fonts dissapear (a bit complicated, read on...)

This is the actual case:
There is an SWF which contains just a font to be used by many other SWFs, it is here:
./SharedRessources/ComicFont.swf
Then there is one SWF which imports this font for runtime use:
./Selector/Selector.swf
And another one which also imports this font for runtime use:
./Menu/Menu.swf
They both import the font "for runtime use" and this, relative path: "../SharedRessources/ComicFont.swf".
This works for both Selector.swf and Menu.swf quite well. The font is displayed correctly.
BUT now there is this one:
./Everything/Everything.swf
This one loads Selector.swf and Menu.swf BOTH. The result is: The embedded font dissapears!
The funny thing: If I only load ONE of them, the font is visible.
So: Having 2 SWFs loaded simultaneously which make use of a font which is "shared for runtime use" destroys it for both.
Anyone encountered this problem yet? Any simple workarounds? The not-so-simple workaround would be to do it all directly via Actionscript and letting the Container hold all the ressources. But this would just be very comfortable.
OR could this even be filed as a bug?

After fiddeling around with the code, I actually found a solution:
The Font is embedded as a class, "ComicFont". So using the Loader class the usual way to load more than one module that uses this Font will cause the ComicFont class to be overwritten (and thus lost to the module loaded before)
I ran a test like this for every module loaded:

Doing it the nomal, lazy way, this would output:

So it seems just the last module actually contained the ComicFont class. No wonder the font disappeared for all the other modules.
The "trick" was to set the applicationDomain inside the Loader:

Now the fonts appear in every module and the output of the loop above is:

AS3 button = 2 functions a bit complicated

I have swing_mc on the main timeline of an .swf
I need to have swing _mc do two things
1. on rollover to play
2. on click to gotoAndStop ("framename") main timeline
I have an invisible button INSIDE swing_mc on the top layer, this is because the mc is supposed to swing back and forth so the inv btn must be on top of the mc to follow the motion path.
if there is a solution this way that would be fine, if not I was just thinking:
the mc is a picture swinging from side to side, if I put an invisible button on the main timeline over most of the area the button swings over and covers I think that would work, but then I would have to target the swing_mc timeline for it to play correct?
How and which way do I code this?

For the first function you should only need...

The parent reference could be a problem since there is none except maybe the Stage.
And for the second function, you need to place the frame argument in parentheses

You mention something about a button, so I don't know if you want to assign the event listteners to the swing_mc or the button you mention.

Yes this is correct. The only thing you now have to worry
about is your Pre and Post triggers associated in the Form. If
you find that something should theoretically work, but doesn't.
Make sure you take a look at the validation unit.
ie: Pre and Post Triggers do not fire when your validation unit
is greater than the item in question.
From my experience I have found that Oracle does lots of things
behind the scene that the developer is unaware of. So be very
careful in making a change like the validation unit.

Thank you for your reply, what i mean by normally is when i just press the power button. It stays on the grey screen with a apple logo for approx. 10 min then goes black for a minute then goes blue and stays there, the harddisk starts spinning but nothing happens, same happens for safemode.
Single user mode works (command+s after boot tone)
It boots from the dvd and i did a repair permissions and repair disk several times untill no problems come up.
I did an archive and install untill I ran out of hard drive space.
I dont have access to another macintosh, so i cant use firewire target disk mode.
My final resort is to backup data from hard drive to ipod (after i format it cus its full) then do an erase and install on my powerbook.
if you have any alternatives or suggestions please do, i am desperate.

A Bit Complicated...

Ok, here's the deal. The power went out today and I went to iTunes and the Library was there but no other playlists. I've used iPodRip so many times that it's expired and I can't use it anymore. I dont have my iPod playlist, and I plugged my iPod in to use iPodRip and all my songs got deleted. I also have no LimeWire playlist. Is there any other program i can use for a Mac OS X 10.4.5 that will recover my playlists? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Aspect ratio for the 3D can mesh in CS6

Hello,
I am creating a 3D can that I want to place a label design on. When I open up the mesh (diffuse texture) and place my label design on it, it does not fit proplely, it is flipping it and scaling it. I have use the UV propeties to scale it but it is doing only a so-so job. Does anyone know how to make this work easily?

My question is this desire to deploy a wireless network through mesh, but the locationof the access point for this purpose is behind the walls, I want to know if a design formy mesh access point must be linear or serial, or must see each other, or there may be some interference, such as walls, ceilings or something else.
1. Must have line of sight between the access point for mesh or there may be interferencefrom walls or other materials?
2. The 1310 access point or work against a parent should be autonomous?
3. What percentage of overlap should be in the access point should make a mesh topology?
4. There are access points that handle ny protocol can be implemented for mesh?

Mesh AP 1524SB SOS :)

My quiestion is about wirelees ap1524SB. Can this product operate in a full mesh topology network or it is just suitable for a linear(serial) interconnecting of the mesh access points? Can I build a mesh network based on ap1524 only? What topology can I use? Thanks in advance.

Essential items to create a wireless mesh network

I want to create two independent wireless networks (2 different SSIDs)
with 3 APs each one of the cisco 1552 series (outdoor Accesss Points) in a mesh topology.
The one network will have 3 1552s APs and the other 3 1552e APs
My question is which cisco items I need plus to the APs (except the antennas)
1. Wireless LAN Controller (which type? one or two?)
2. Wireless Control System Software (Is it essential?)
3. Other...

You would get two wlc to provide redundancy. You can look at the WLC2504 for smaller environments or else look at the WLC 5508 if think you will be growing. The WCS is end of sale and you would need to look at Prime Infrastructure 1.3. This is optional and is not required to have a wireless system up and functional. It does help in larger environments and for troubleshooting purposes.
