A bit stuck on how I should go about this
I'm getting bt infinity next month but I've come across a slight problem.
The bt infinity needs to be connected to the master socket in the front room downstairs however my computer is upstairs, and I deffinetly need a wired connection due to the work that I do. The options I have thought of so far are running a cat6 cable round the house and upstairs or either getting the bt engineer to install a new master socket upstairs in my room which would cost £120 odd, I'm not worried about the other extension sockets not working aslong as I have the best internet in my office room.
What would you guys recommend (power line adapter is a no no) lol

If you have an extension phone socket upstairs you could get the Openreach engineer to make that your master socket. This should be part of your install and should not cost you anything to have that done.
If that can not be done for what ever reason the best option would be to run Cat 5e or Cat 6 cable. This will give a far better connection than wireless or power line adaptors.

No. The Download is the operating system. It won't damage it because its released by Apple and signed to work on it.
It will update the Operating system to the newer version.

I have moved from the UK to Canada and would like to pay for subscriptions in Canadian dollars rather than sterling pounds. Also I would like to take up Creative Cloud subscription offer because I qualified as a prior purchaser of CS packages.
How do I go about this?I did that - nothing happen... I have changed my adobe ID and all address to my Canada home.
Having log myself out and re-log back in to start the Creative Cloud subscription. The payment still shows in Sterling Pounds.
This is difficult as I am no longer earning Sterling pounds as a wage and the subscription would automatically be doubled payment, because Canadian $ is less in currency exchange to the UK Sterling Pound.

You should talk to Adobe Support thru chat or by phone when they are available (Not usually on weekends) as they might be able to help arrange the change without any cancellation penalties.

Can anyone offer some advice i am looking to upgrade the OS system on one of my macbook pro's, currently running os10.4.11, I would like to upgrade to OS10.5? how would I go about this, and is there a cost, for what is an old operating system now?
Since your Mac probably came with 10.4, there is no longer a way to get 10.5 Leopard install media. IF it has the requirements, you may be able to upgrade to 10.6 Snow Leopard by buying the boxed install media at the Apple Store for $30.

After intalling some updates for Final cut, I m asked to put my first and last names and serial number which unfortunatelt i do not have. how do i go about this?
To add to what BenB advised, make sure you have proof of purchase when you call Apple for a replacement serial number.
For future reference, it is a good idea to keep all software serial numbers in a database or text document. Considering the cost of the software, keeping a list of serial numbers can come in very handy at times like this.

How do I Choose About This Mac from the Apple Menu.
I installed Maverick. Appears to have been a big mistake. So I went to Phone help and the want my serial number before they will talk to me. So their site says that I should "Choose About This Mac from the Apple Menu." I don't know where the Apple Menu is. Help.
The Apple menu is at the top left hand corner of your screen, click on it and about this Mac is the first choice.
Click twice on Version to get serial number.
