ODBC Driver adds ROWID next to SELECT and disables the optimizer hint

I want to use an optimizer hint in my sql statement. For example: "select /*+ index(emp,status) +*/ status,name from emp where status=1". I have a bitmap index on status field, i want to force the select statement to use it. This one works fine from sql plus. If i execute the same statement from a VB application and run it via ODBC [Microsoft driver or oracle driver] it's sending the statement like "select rowid,/*+.....+*/ ...". I believe hint has to be next to the word SELECT, so it's not being used. I want to create an ADO connection from the vb application and create a recordset and loop through it and update some values. Any thoughts?
I tried some other options...like
select * from (select /*+ index(1,2) +*/....)
select a.* from (select /*+ index(1,2) +*/...) a
cn1.execute(sqltext) from vb..
In all these three methods it's not adding a rowid next to select.. so hint is used and able to use the index. But having issues with updating the recordset. It says "query is not from one table" and "can't be updated" errors..

The ODBC drivers are going to need to select the rowid in order to get an updatable or a scrollable recordset. Otherwise, they won't know which row in the database to update or how to fetch the previous rows without caching the entire recordset.
Can you create a view from the hinted select statement and select from that? That's likely to be the fastest solution.

I had same problem where Firefox 3.6.8 would not start or open. Spent many hours trying different things to fix it. Uninstall of previous version and reinstall did not make any difference. Finally, after uninstalling Firefox, I searched for Firefox folders and files on my computer, deleted and removed all Firefox folders and files - deleted anything and everything related to Firefox so that it will be as if I was going to download Firefox for the first time ever. Then, using another browser, I downloaded Firefox 3.6.8 and installed it. It could be that some Add-Ons or something else from the older version of Firefox or profile was interfering with the new one. It was easier to delete remove everything and install all over again clean than to figure out which part was causing the problem.
Keep in mind, when you delete all Firefox folders and files from your computer, you are deleting all your bookmarks and all your Add-ons. If you want to keep those bookmarks, you might want to save the URLs someplace safe to bookmark them again before deleting them. You need to re-install the Add-ons also. Upon installation, it asks if you want to import bookmarks and settings from another browser or settings you might have. I imported them from my other browser. Now, Firefox works. I also installed up-to-date Add-ons.
I hope this helps. Always keep more than one browser functioning on your computer, just in case one fails.

Here's something I threw together rq. The script is in the change event for the checkbox in the table. (Of course, you'll have to modify it to suit the names of your fields.)

Are your tracks pat of a collection? Different artists, but still one album? Then mark them a s acollection or set the album artist. See this guide on how to group separate tracks into albums:

Look to the right under "More Like This". Your issue has been discussed many many times. The error you are seeing is because you do not have enough free "contiguous" space on your hard drive. Read the other threads that address this issue to find how to solve the issue.
Or, put "The disk cannot be partitioned because some files cannot be moved" into the search box at the upper right of this page.

Thank you for your response, Chris. But I'm afraid I have to disagree. There are native 64 bit versions of iTunes available for OSX and Windows.
In a 64 Bit Windows environment native 64 Bit Applications install the DLL's in a directory called "Program Files" and a directory called "Program Files (x86)" (32 Bit applications only use the ladder).
iTunes 9 is consistent with this behavior - and it identified itself to the system as a 64 bit application (meaning it's process appears without a "*32" tag on it).

Sorry, should've mentioned some more information. I synced the ipad to the folder of photos. The original photos had file names like "_MG_4865.jpg" and after syncing the folder in Itunes, all files were now found in a folder called "iPod Photo Cache" which was filled with many folders with labels like "F23" etc. (There were ALOT of photos.) In those folders there are several files with names like "T343.ithmb". Not a .jpg to be found and I can't view any of the photos.

a. As asked by SG, what version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
b. I am jumping ahead of the classical questions on your source media, project settings, computer environment and the like to cut to the damaged project aspects of issues. In that regard have you read the Adobe Tech Note that addresses troubleshooting suspected damaged projects?

c. But you cannot escape the answers being in the details. Best not to take anything for granted by the person asking the question nor the person asking the questions. If you don't have access to your rescue email account, or you don't have one on your iTunes account, then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.
