I have found a bug in ios.
I had too mani applications on my ipad2.
I have fullfilled all eleven pages with 20 aplications in each page.
I have dowloaded more aplicatiobs but these applications are inside the ipad ( if i search i find them) but the icon is not viible.

That's not really a bug. That is how the iPad handles the lack of space on the screens after you fill them all up.
You can create folders so that you will have more room on your home screens. Tap and hold down on an app icon until they all start to wiggle on the screen. Then drag one icon on top of another icon to create a folder. You can place up to 20 apps in a folder and if you do this, you will regain the space on the screens for the other app icons.
When you are done creating folders and moving icons around, tap the home button to stop the wiggling.

Bug with Overall Signature Validity Icon

I am finding that there are inconsistencies in the way Adobe Acrobat 9.0.0 and Adobe Reader 9.0.0 indicate Overall Signature Validity states for digitally signed documents. Adobe's white paper on this issue at http://www.adobe.com/devnet/reader/articles/reader_compatibility/readercomp_digitalsignat ures.pdf clearly states when/how both these applications should indicate "Unsigned changes since last valid signature", being the icon of a signature with triangle containing an exclamation mark.
I performed the following steps:
1. Open a document already containing blank digital signature fields and Extended Features / Reader Rights enabled, in Adobe Reader.
2. Sign and save the document.
3. In the signatures panel, select "Validate All".
4. The overall signature validity icon of a signature and tick (indicating all is valid) is displayed, as expected.
5. Open the "Comment and Markup" toolbar, and place either a "sticky note" or "stamp" in the document.
6. In the signatures panel, select "Validate All".
7. The overall signature validity icon of a signature with yellow triangle symbol with exclamation mark (meaning unsigned changes since last signature) is displayed, as expected.
However, if at step 5 above I place any of the OTHER options (Text Edit, Text Highlight, Callout, Text Box, Cloud, Arrow, Line or Rectangle), and again "validate all", the overall signature validity icon still shows a signature and tick (i.e. it has not recognised the changes). In such cases, the "Annotations Created" entry also does not appear under the signed revision in the signatures panel.
8. Furthermore, if I sign the document again after adding any of the "Comment and Markup" options, and then "Validate All", the overall signature validity icon of a signature with tick and blue 'i' symbol (meaning all is valid but document was updated since initial signature) is displayed, as expected.
9. Then add ANY of the "Comment and Markup" options, and then "Validate All", and the overall signature validity icon of a signature with tick and blue 'i' symbol is STILL displayed. At this point I would expect the signature with yellow triangle symbol with exclamation mark to be displayed. Again in this case the "Annotations Created" entry also does not appear under the last signed revision in the signatures panel.
Can anyone else repeat this behaviour? It appears to be the same in Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader. Am I missing something or is it a bug?

The PDF file I was testing with originated from a Word document, created by Acrobat Professional v9.0.0. The document was created using the 'Convert to Adobe PDF' option that is embedded within the Word menus when Acrobat Professional was installed. From there I added the digital signature fields, text fields, check box etc, then 'Extended Features in Adobe Reader', and saved the document (replacing the original file) as prompted when extending the features to Adobe Reader. I don't have the LiveCycle Designer application.
The bug I am experiencing is not effected by saving or not saving. Today I started with the document created some time ago that I describe above. It contains several blank signature fields, no certification, a blank text field and a check box, and extended features in Adobe Reader were enabled. Today I opened that document, signed the first signature field and saved as a different file name when prompted. I then added a 'text box' annotation. I then selected validate all from the signature panel, and no changes are listed under Rev 1, just the remaining unsigned signature fields are listed. The overall signature validity icon shows a signature and tick. I then saved the document, and again selected validate all. No change to either rev status or icon. I then closed Acrobat Pro and reopened the document, and selected validate all. Still no change to rev status or icon. I then checked the check box field in the document, and selected validate all. The icon now shows signature with triangle containing exclamation mark, with comments regarding unsigned changes since last signature etc. There are also two entries under Rev 1 in the signature panel, the first labelled 'Annotations' which describes the text box, and the second labelled 'Form Fields Filled In' which describes the checking of the check box. In my mind, the 'Annotation' entry should have showed up (along with an icon change to show unsigned changes since last signature) when I selected validate all after adding the text box originally.

Mail app bug with jumping to new line below signature

Hi!
Since day one of using Lion i have this incredibly annoying bug with Mail application.
I have a formated signature in all my emails. Sometimes when I am composing a mail (or rather replying for one) and when I hit RETURN on keyboard, cursor moves BELOW signature and inserts new line below signature - not in place when it was when I hit RETURN.
The same is when I have cursor in middle of my message and hit enter. Nothing happens - text ater place when cursor was when I hit enter is staying where it was but cursor moves below signature and enters new line in there.
Anyone has solution for this?

Triple-click the word "telnet" in the line below on this page to select the whole line:

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing command-V. I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
You should almost instantly get three lines of output below what you entered, the last of which is this:
Escape character is '^]'.
If there's no output within ten seconds, consider that a failure. If you get something different from the above, please post it in a reply. You can then quit Terminal.

Problem with thumbnail icon in Organizer

Running Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit OS, installed Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 running organizer. Brand new installation, no previous versions installed.
I installed Elements last week and I'm trying to access my digital photos and some video clips using organizer. I used the import from files and folders to display the media files within organizer. The media files sit on a NAS (network attached storage) on drive X:. Throughtout the entire process, all I seem to see are hourglass icons and after finishing the import, continue to see same hourglass icon. I've tried to use the update thumbnail option to no avail. When I double click on the icons, I am able to see the photos/video clips with no problems.

blog post from Brian? Unfortunately, it seems to be by design and not fixable. Pay attention to the comments and particularly the one from Brian on 23 dec 2014:
"The document link problem will not be fixed. In SharePoint 2013 there are not the event receivers for documents that allow us to track the coming and going of documents."
Talking about PS2013 SP1, it fixes bugs related to icons but not this one. See this

Bug with Messages Handoff in Yosemite: Can't turn off

There seems to be a bug with Handoff/Continuity in Yosemite.
We want to use handoff between our iPhone and our MacBook Pro for Safari & Mail, but we DON'T want to use handoff for Messages.
However, there is no way to turn off handoff for Messages on the Mac. Even if we completely disable our iCloud account in OS X Messages, and even if we completely sign out of our iCloud account in OS X Messages, the continuity icon for Messages STILL APPEARS IN OUR DOCK ON OS X whenever we are typing up a Message on our iPhone.
There is no way for us to disable handoff for Messages yet still leave it on for Safari & Mail.

The bug still exists in 30EA3.
In new folders for user definded reports only the options "Kopieren" and "Exportieren" (copy and export) are available, when SQL-Deverloper runs in German language mode.
A workaround is to force language to English with the line
AddVMOption -Duser.language=en
in sqldeveloper.conf

What kind of RFC do you use? If you use synchronous RFC the caller waits for the answer/result of the called function. In normal cases this should solve your issue.

Okay, i have 2 bugs with maverick. First, when I delete a file within a window, the files deletes but the preview doesn't delete until I close the window and reopen it. Second, I work on a network of computers and the search feature is now buggy...

When I search for a file, A) it asks me if it's a name, or it wont produce anything, and B), its slower than in prior OS versions and in some instances I have to toggle to a different directory and go back to my original directory in the search: menu bar or the search wont produce anything... Very buggy.

It appears to me that network file access is buggy in Maverick.
In my case I have a USB Drive attached to airport extreme (new model) and when I open folders on that drive they all appear empty. If I right click and I select get info after a few minutes! I get a list of the content.
It makes impossible navigate a directory tree.
File access has been trashed in Maverick.
They have improved (read broken) Finder. I need to manage a way to downgrade to Lion again.

App will not download to iPad when purchased from App Store - stuck with Cloud icon

Device : iPad Air 32gb wi-fi model (not cellular data)
OS version : 7.1.1 (up to date)

Problem : App will not download to iPad when purchased from App Store - stuck with Cloud icon
Last night I tried to download an app over wi-fi onto my iPad Air, but the app did not install.
I have plenty of space (the app is 24.1mb, I have 3.4gb free space) and there are no restrictions whatsoever on my iPad - no blocks on App store purchases, no age-related restrictions, no country restrictions etc.
Normally from the App Store page you would tap the price (in this case the app was free), enter your iTunes password, and the app would download.
Also a new icon appears on the home screen and a circle shows the progress of the download.
However this did not happen.
Instead I have the Cloud icon (the one that shows when you have bought an app but it is not currently installed on your device) and a message that says "You've already purchased this, so it will be downloaded now at no additional cost".
If I press OK I am then prompted to enter my iTunes password, the Cloud symbol briefly changes to a circle (and I mean for a split-second, like the blink of an eye) and then the Cloud symbol appears again.
The app does not download - in fact it does not even *attempt* to download.
I have tried this >20 times now and it always occurs excatly like this.
After Googling this problem (which seems common) and reading over a dozen threads on this forum plus Apple's own official support pages, this is what I've tried:
I can re-download other apps that I have previously purchased on this iPad, with no problems.
I purchased another app on my iPhone 5 and was then able to download onto my iPad with no problems.
I have reset my iPad >5 times - both by pressing/holding the home/power buttons, and also a full switch off and restart.
I have logged out of my iTunes account on the iPad, and logged back in.
The wi-fi is Virgin Media fibre optic broadband with a verified speed of 20 meg (confirmed by Speedtest) plus an 802.11-n Belkin router and my iPad will happily load web pages, stream videos on YouTube, download other apps etc.
I have reset/rebooted my internet connection
In an attempt to eliminate by broadband connection from the possible causes, I have switched off my router, linked my iPad to the hotspot feature on my iPhone and tried to download the app over cellular data, but still cannot download the app.
I have tried on 2 other wi-fi networks but still cannot download this one app.
My iTunes account has a cerdit balance from an iTunes card, but the app was free anyway
Nothing I try will download the app in question.
The app is iPad only, so I cannot install on my iPhone to try and kick-start the process.
I guess I could install the app on my computer and then sync the iPad, but that's *working around* the problem - it's not *fixing* the problem.
(Since getting the iPad I use almost never use my computer. And anyway what if I did not have a computer? Didn't iOS go "PC-free" with version 5?)
I would like to call Apple but my 90-day telephone support has expired (the iPad is around 6 months old) and I don't want to buy Apple Care for this one problem.
I can't make it to an Apple Store to speak to a Genius.
Bearing in mind the list of things I've already tried, what do I do next?

No need to apologize, I actually found the phrase "If your iPad ever craps the bed" amusing under the circumstances
I checked the list of installed apps like you suggested (Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Show all apps) but this problem app is not in the list. I have also swiped down on the home screen to search for it, but again it does not show.
While it has not let me download the app (and I just tried it again) it has helped me to eliminate a few things from the list of what to try, and I can definitely conclude that it has not downloaded.
I guess I need to fire up my PC and download it / sync my iPad.

When I migrated the contents of my iMac to my new MacBook Pro (both running Lion), I ended up with duplicate icons in the launchpad. How do I get rid of them?

When I used migration Assistant to transfer stuff from my iMac to my MacBook Pro, both running the latest update of Lion, I ended up with duplicate icons in the Launchpad. How do I correct this situation. Some can be deleted using the iPad method of holding down an icon until they all jiggle and then clicking the "X" to delete. However, most do not have x's appear next to them. Otherwise, the migration seemed to go okay.

Launchpad will display an icon for each copy of an application that is currently installed (as well as any aliases to those applications), so you will see more than one icon for an application if you have more than one version of the application installed or aliased. So did you create any aliases of these apps on your old computer? If so, delete them.

I was exploring the hard drive, and ended up with an icon picture of the drive on my desktop. How do I get rid of it?

To get rid of hard disk icons on the Desktop, open Finder menu > Preferences > General, and untick "Hard disks" and/or "External disks", depending if it's your internal hard disk or an external disk

Unfortunately, Safari cannot be updated past 5.1.10 on a Mac running v10.6.8.
So, the options are to upgrade to a newer OS X or use Firefox or Chrome.

See if your Mac can run v10.9 Mavericks > OS X Mavericks: System Requirements
If so, you can download and install Mavericks for free from the App Store.

ICal bug with month view

I primarily use week view on iCal, but sometimes i switch to month view for a larger perspective. Often, i use month view to check for any leftover events from the previous month in case i forgot to delete one or two.
I just found a bug concerning this. If i click on "month" today, it'll take me to the month view for june 2011, and from there i can navigate forwards or backwards. However, may 2011 seems to have a bug. If i click on < from june, it does nothing; if i click again, it takes me to april 2011. Similarly, if i click on > from april it does nothing and if i click again it takes me to june.
It doesn't end there. The june/may thing happens only when the selected day (the one shaded light grey on the month and week views and bright blue on the little month tab on the left) is after 04 june. If a day from the first week of june (i have my weeks start on sunday) is selected, the < button does take me to may, but several events which i deleted a long time ago are showing up.
Now, i have an event set for today (04 june). Since the first four days of june are in the same week as the last three of may, the month view for may shows these four days, as any normal calendar app would.
If i use the month tab to the left to navigate, i can access may 2011 by selecting any day on that month. However, iCal's behaviour depends on which day was selected previously. If the previous day was in april 2011 or earlier, iCal will show the month of may completely empty, which is great because i have no leftover appointments from may; however, the box for 04 june is also empty, which it shouldn't be. If the previous day was in june 2011, it'll show may with a repeating event on every sunday except the first, which is completely absurd, since i have deleted this event (and why isn't it showing on the first sunday in may?); the box for 04 june, however, will correctly show the event i have set for this day. If the previous day was in july 2011 or later, it'll show may with the repeating event on all sundays (including the first one) and it won't show anything on the box for 04 june.
Obviously, there is a bug with may 2011.
In case it helps, i do have a repeating event set to all sundays until the end of existence, but i have deleted all the entries from may and previously, since they have obviously already happened. Also, i had many other repeating events set to happen on different weekdays; these are to repeat themselves weekly until about halfway through june, and they started on april or may (can't remember right now). Like the sunday one, i have deleted all the entries from may because they have already taken place. Strangely (and thankfully), none of these appear when i visit may from june or later, as does the sunday event.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Or am i forever stuck with week view, which has so far proven to be bug-free?
(I did a search on Google and another on the Apple forums for this issue but could find nothing, so i decided to ask the question myself. I apologise if somebody has already asked this question and i just couldn't find it.)

I have a vague recollection of someone else with this issue but haven't experienced it myself nor encountered it recently.
Troubleshooting:
1.) First make an iCal backup: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2966.
2.) Remove the following to the trash and restart your computer:
Home > Library > Caches > com.apple.ical and / or "ical"
Home > Library > Calendars > Calendar Cache, Cache, Cache 1, 2, 3, etc. (Do not remove Sync Cache or Theme Cache)
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.ical (There may be more than one of these. Remove them all.)
__NOTE: Removing these files will remove any shared (CalDAV) calendars you may have access to. You will have to re-add those calendars to iCal > Preferences > Accounts.
Once the computer is back up and running open iCal and test.
