A bunch of weird bugs? Fill cell changes font. Show all subtasks show changes in cells. Filter shows deselected tasks

I'm having some difficulties with a couple of weird UI / Font related changes. Have anyone else experienced this or have a solution?
I'm using:
Microsoft Project Professional 2010
v. 14.0.7106.5003 (32 bit version)
1. When I try to fill a row with a color - MSP2010 changes the font and fontsize:

This is just one example, when changing fonts I have issues all the time. For example MSP sometimes adds new activities with the same font as all other activities (Arial 8pt) and other times decides that it shoud use (Calibri 11pt).
2. When I expand all subtasks in outline MSP says that values of custom cells have changed:
(look at column called "Verkligt arbete.") Custum formula is: [Tal1]*[Tal2]/100

I do reccomend that you download the video files since Dropbox renders them at lower quality when watched on their homepage.
To be completely honest, I'm trusting Microsoft Project 2010 less and less each day I use it. If the basic stuff does not work, how can I trust that the more advanced things does work?

Yes updates are cumulative but the reason I don't normally recommend users install the latest update is that cumulative updates do not receive the same level of thorough testing that service packs receive. The
following "disclaimer" is attached to each cumulative update:
"However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might
receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update (i.e. service pack) thta contain this hotfix".
The June 2013 cumulative update was released after SP2 and contains a significant number of fixes. Cumulative updates since then have had very limited functional changes. That's why I recommend the June 2013
cumulative update but do not normally recommend the latest cumulative update.

Changing fonts on all pages in Aperture book

Hi there - anyone know if it is possible to change the font for ALL the pieces of text in one go, in an Aperture book?
At the moment, all I am able to do is to change them page by page.
Also, can one edit the page numbers text - font and size?

Hello, I have 80 slides I'd like to change the font in all slides to a simpler font. I'm using chalkduster font on iPad, how can I change it? Can I make 1 change or must I go through every slide?

Did you solve this font issue with Keynote? I just finished a huge presentation, uploaded it to the cloud and now realize the font I used on my iMac is NOT on keynote...go figure! So, now all the capitalization is screwy and inconsistent. don't want to recreate all fonts box by box.

1.5.1 or MacPro changes font in all my books

I have just upgraded to a new MacPro and also Aperture to 1.5.1, after this I have noticed that all the fonts in my books are different. They were all the standard book design fonts with no changes from me, but now they are all different (Lucida Grand I think) and look ugly.
I cannot be sure if this happened after the Aperture 1.5.1 upgrade (in which case it's an Aperture bug) or the transfer to my MacPro (in which case the font could be missing).
Can anyone tell me what the original font was for the book designs so that I can manually fix this problem? The Themes are Stock Book Large Hard Cover.

How do i change font size for iMac without change the screen resolution?

I have a iMac 27", and it have maximun resolution screen of 2560 x 1440, then the size of the font into the bar of the windows and application is to small. If I change the resolution (1920 x1080) the font size increased, but the definition o apparence is to low. I wants to keep the higthes resolution and obtain larger font.

Tengo un computador iMac de 27 pulgadas que además tiene una resolución de pantalla de 2560 x 1140, por lo tanto el tamaño de font o letra en la barra de menús de cualquier ventana o aplicación se ve muy pequeña. Si se cambia la resolución a una inferior el tamaño aumenta; pero se ve borroso. Quisiera mantener la máxima resolución y tener un tamaño de font mayor.

How do i clear all previous track changes in Incopy/Indesign

I have an old document which i now need to work on again. We worked on the same document last year and we are going to use the old text and just rewrite it.
We are many people involved and the things is that all our previous changes from last year are still visible. I would like to clear all the changes from last year to get the text "clean".
We want to have new track changes to see all the new changes that are being made.
How do I do that?
I am working in Indesign and the team I am working with are using Incopy. I do the design and they handle the text.

Nokia Lumina 800 Change Font Size ?

I just got a new Nokia Lumina 800, and the text font is so small I cant read most it.
(I've some replies where nokia are claiming itsa 'visually impaired' problem. Nokia take note.... I had an eye test recently and have 20/20 vision).
Googling I cant believe there is no facility to change font size. YOU CANT CHANGE THE TEXT FONT SIZE ??? Was the device only useability tested on teenagers ?
Nokia: so my question is specifically WHEN will there be an update to correct this ? Or do i return the device and switch to android ?
I'd priortise this a an URGENT issue.

You are very lucky to not have an issue with the font size, some of us don’t have perfect vision and it would make life a lot easier to be able to choose a font size and colour that best suits our own visual ability. If you open a contact up and have a look at the headings which are in white against the black background (if you have dark set for back ground) then under that is the details that you enter, they are almost half the size of the heading font and are the same colour as the selected theme so I have chosen the lime green theme as this helps to make them clearer for me. Don’t know if you have heard but some people do suffer from colour blindness so some colour combination mean that they wont see some colours at all. So please this is an issue for me and some other users, I happy to hear your vision is excellent and its not a problem for you but it may not be like that for ever so this might become an issue for yourself one day. Please Nokia have a look at this and update it to either allow us to customize the font or allow pinch to zoom.

Changing Font Box Sizes

I want to delete some font boxes and expand others in one of the templates for a book in iPhoto 6. Can this be done or am I stuck using the tiny, unreadable, fonts that are supplied with this template. I know how to change font sizes but need to change the size of the font box to accommodate the change.

OTW:
Unfortunately that can't be done. If you have an advanced image editor like Photoshop Elements you can create a full page, 8.5 x 11 x 300 dpi, canvas and add you photos and text where ever you want and then use that file in a one photo per page layout.
If either of your Macs came with OmniGraffle you can use it do create multiple photo and text box layout.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB file backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. Weird Bug Still On Going

I have recently upgraded my home PC with new motherboard, CPU and RAM. Since then i have a weird bug that i cant seem to get my head around to fix.
Basically whenever i am in the metro UI start screen, at random times when i left or right click it will hang my system with NO BSOD. My monitors go to sleep my PC is still on and the fans are still on as well as the LEDS andmy keyboard and mouse but
they are frozen.
I cant remote onto it from my logmein account to see what is going on.
I have tried the following:
change power options to disable sleep timeout
re installed fresh windows 8 then update to 8.1
changed my main HDD and re installed windows 8 then updated to 8.1
installed and updated all of my hardware (mouse, keyboard, motherboard chipset)
It is very random and frustrating as i am an IT engineer and i cannot figure out what is going on. I have estimated that my system at peak load pulls around 590W of power and i have a 750W Modular Gaming PSU.
I also have a NVIDIA GTX 295 Pre watercooled.
I really cannot think what this could be and would really appreciate some guidance/assistance with this. In my opinion I do not think it is to do with my PSU or GPU as it is ONLY doing this in WINDOWS 8.1 METRO Screen and nowhere elese not even the metro
screen in windows 8 before I update to 8.1

try to check whether this issue also happen in safe mode or BIOS, if still hang there than high possibility hardware compatibility or HW issue itself
try to remove all 3rd party HW like printer, LAN cable, usb dongle and do power cycle to isolate 3rd party HW compatibility or HW issue
if you suspected this is windows issue, I suggest create 1 partition and installed windows 7 or any others OS to proof that this is not HDD or any other HW related issue
because you already reformat your OS, I suggest try to troubleshoot from the hardware side first (HDD, RAM, connection cable SATA and power etc)

Changing font / appearance of Fill-in-the-blank questions

1) I am using a Fill-in-the-blank question. I can change the
font of the name and the description, but not of the Blank Answers
themselves. I figure this should be possible, since these are
basically text entry boxes (or drop down lists if you select the
list option). Is there a way to do this? Perhaps an option I
missed, or with a Javascript code that modifies some system
variables, or some other way?
2) Also, how can I get rid of the numbering in front of the
Blank Answers that Captivate generates? Is there a way to do this
(an option I missed, Javascript, or whatever)? I even tried to
cover them up with a highlight box, but Captivate does not allow me
to bring the highlight box in front in z-order.
Surely, you wonder why would I want to do this, especially
#2. One really useful example would be to embed the Blank Answers
in the Phrase itself. Example:
The <1> and the <2> are the two longest rivers on
earth.
1. __________
2. __________
By adding some blanks in the Phrase and moving around the
Blank Answers, this could be turned into:
The __________ and the __________ are the two longest rivers
on earth.
I would think that many would consider the second version
more appealing.
In addition, this would open other possible uses for
Fill-in-the-blank questions. For example, consider a table or
spreadsheet like setting where each Blank Answer is actually a
cell. The user fills in the cells, and all entries are evaluated
when the user submits.

I guess the best response would be generate the
Fill-In-The-Blank question as Captivate requires. After it creates
the questions slide, double click on the text box you wish to edit.
For example, when you publish your question "The <1>
and the <2> are the two longest rivers on earth.", this will
appear as a text box on the screen. Double click it to edit and
change "<1>" and "<2>" to "___________".
You should also be able to edit your answer boxes in this
manner as well.

Is anyone else having a weird bug in MobileMe gallery with volume on iOS 5? I am having a weird problem, where if I view a video I have uploaded and change the volume, I used the on-screen slider and It changed the volume but it also popped up like I was controlling it from the side. I thought that was kind of weird. If you want to see my problem, there will be a video up on Contemputech.com within a half-hour of me writing this.

I'm hoping you are no longer having problems with your iPhone visual voice mail.
I can understand how frustrating it is to not be able to access such a great feature on your iPhone.
We did determine customers not being able to access Visual Voicemail on their iPhones.
Common errors are "visual voicemail is not available" or it just keeps loading the message.
(In the meantime, you can still review voicemail messages by dialing *86)
This issue should have been resolved for everyone effective 3/2/12.

I mostly use technology for education and professional audiovisuals and lights.
I don't sync music because I use music from at least 4 different computers. (manually mange music)
I use my iPad to play performance tracks for church and a local gospel group out of our church, Won4Christ.
I chose to buy the iPad because the laptop of one of the group members (dellxps running iTunes) was randomly losing and mixing up music and I wanted a more stable option that was bigger than my iPod touch.
I tried to add some data to music libraries that I previously added to my iPad, but the data only shows up when looking at the device in iTunes.
Wifi sync has not worked on either my laptop or desktop ( both running windows 7 enterprise 64 and newest iTunes) not really a big issue, but very annoying
When browsing through library playlist albums on the iPad, random artwork shows up on playlists with no artwork that you touch while dragging, and it does not go away until you change to another navigation tab and back.
Random songs out of hundreds that I added showed up in iTunes grayed out with a sync circle beside them. Those songs would play back okay on the iPad but were unplayable through the iTunes device view. I had to delete the songs manually through the library along with the playlist and add them again.
These seem to be major stability bugs in the "new" music app and iTunes. My only option right now seems to be to delete the songs that I want to change and re-add them with the changes already applied rather than changing the id3 tags and artwork on the existing music. I hope apple will release updates to resolve these issues.

Another bug: The "No Date" option doesn't work properly. I have a smart mailbox set up to show all items dated plus/minus a year from now (i.e. all dated items) and four undated items showed up in the list. Selecting "no date" didn't work, so what I had to do was use the "other" option to set a date a couple of years back then go to iCal to set the items to "no date". That cleared them from the smart mailbox in Mail.
