A Clock Issue for OS X Mavericks
Hi
I have an iMac Early 2009 Model with the newly upgraded OS X Mavericks (OS X 10.9) and I am trying to put in the correct time my clock because it's 1 minute faster than the real time on my iPhone, but when I attempt to change the clock every time, it always asks for the administrator's user name and password. When I attempt to use the administrator's name and password on the screen, the letters & numbers within the 2 spaces are blank instead of normally seeing my original user name on my iMac since after I've upgraded the software from a Leopard (10.5.8). So every time I try to use my screen name and password, it does NOT accept the password and user name.
The problem with the user name and password from the administrator does not just accept the clock problem, but it does not work for any other feature such as downloads, software updates and more, etc...
Are there any alternatives to fix this issue?
I hope there can be a new mavericks update to fix all of these issues in the next year or so.
Thanks!!!
Another user seemed to resolve it via safe mode…

If that makes no difference I'd also try some of the simple resets…

Hi,
I've been googling about my bizarre clock issue but everyone seems to be stuck with issues on auto sync clock and daylight savings time and alarm issues..... but mine is slightly different and hence my new post:
Basically, I set my clock to manual clock and for some reason it will get slower overnight. I've tried this twice now whereby I set the time manually I had sync'd time a few different people making sure the time I set was correct. Next day my clock ends up being several minutes behind everyone. 2nd time around I even set my clock faster than everyone but again clock ends up slower overnight. It is so frustrating as I have normally relied on my phone's clock as I dont wear a watch. I recently bought an iPhone and for all its functionality it cant get time right? ffs... I'm on 4.2.1 and I hope I dont need to upgrade to 4.3 to get this fixed. Any suggestions would help. Thanks!A P.S. my reference is always my wrist watch as I have several solar powered, "atomic" time watches that get their NIST radio time signal every morning between 2am-5am. I have my iPhone date/time set to "automatic", and while it never seems to be more than 10 seconds off my watch, it is never exactly the same, and sometimes it has been a bit fast and other times a bit slow.
I just think the actual clocks in cell phones and such devices are inherently not fantastically accurate - I have a 100+ year old mechanical pocket watch that keeps better time (about +/- 2-5s per month) than any computer or mobile device I've ever owned. -
Alarm clock issue after OS upgrade to 5..0.0.973
I upgraded to 5.0.0.973 and now I have issues with my alarm clock not displaying the time while charging at my bed side. I have Verizon and tried using the latest upgrade from Sprint. 5.0.0.1030 but the alarm clock issue remains. Rolling back the upgrade I am told would be one answer, but is there a way to dispose of the offending file somehow might be a good fix. Totally frustrated with BB at this point. One of the few things l like about my phone and they mess it up!! The Droids and the I-wanttobetrackedeverywhereIgophone is looking attractive these days.
Well i have the same issue, let me go over the items i have done.
First did the OTA upgrade. Issue happened.
then i downgraded to .886. worked normal.
Updated with Desktop Manager. Issue happened.
Wipe of Device to see if software conflict. Issue still happens.
also done several batteries pulls to see if that would fix it. still issue happens.
I've just downgraded again to .886 and it works. at this point i am going to be staying with .886 unless a fix is found for .973. -
FontBook issues since upgrading to Mavericks
Since upgrading to mavericks when i try to install new typefaces (.otf, work perfectly on my other computers which are running on mountain lion). They do not show up in font book. Even when I manually add them to the Fonts folder, they still do not show up in Font Book or any of my applications. As a graphic designer, this is obviously a huge issue for me.
Not to mention, this isn't the only problem I have since upgrading. For example all of my adobe programs are suddenly riddled with bugs (issues resizing assets, drop down menus dissapear, etc). I have been trying to trouble shoot several issues for a while now with no solutions. All of the problems I have seem to be experienced by other users. It's very frustrating to me that the new OS is so buggy. I have never had this problem before when upgrading products. One of the users just upgraded and is having this issue as well. I told him to use Firefox as that browser has no problems. This is a workaround at best as the Apple Store is still inaccessable. I believe the problem lies with Safari's implementation of SSL as normal http:// sites load, albeit very slowly. Any sites that use https:// are unavailable.

IMessage Constantly Asking for iCloud Password - Mavericks
Hi, I've been having issues for quite some time now with my iMessage on my MacBook 2010. I started having issues with Mountain Lion where I was unable to sign in. After updating to Mavericks upon release I ran into issues where iMessage constantly asks me for my iCloud password. I honestly just quit using the program because it was so frustrating. I've decided to give it another shot and have scoured these fourms. I have deleted all associated passwords in Keychain Access, checked my Disk Utility for any repairs that might be necessary, signed out of my iMessage account in the program and signed back in only find that my phone number is no longer associated with iMessages on my MacBook. I'm very frustrated that a core component of the OS simply won't work and I've tried everything that I can find on the support community forums. If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Hi,
That was me, sorry for the confusion.
It is Preferences > First Aid Tab...
If the only account in the Messages App that is supposed to be active is the iMessages one then the Status item in the Message Menu means nothing.
This only refers to Accounts that have Buddy Lists (and therefore a Status according to the Servers they connect to, the exception being the Bonjour account)
An Apple ID can be an iCloud ID.
Obviously the password is the same.
Is this the Apple ID you use for iCloud ?
If it is try turning Off the iCloud Keychain for now in the System Preferences > iCloud.

Palm Pre - Email and Other Bugs/Issues For Future Updates
Great phone overall, and glad to see there is a support community. Couple things I noticed that I wondered if other users know of fixes to:
- All emails lose line breaks, in that all previous replies are smooshed into one long run on sentence including title block
- Email notifications don't disappear when action is taken on PC
- Be able to delete emails and contacts from the phone without deleting from PC
Other issues not e-mail related, but not sure which forum to post under:
- Cut and paste shortcuts with launcher button don't work (which is why I had to retype all this)
- Cut and paste doesn't work on text you didn't type such as web content
- Add URL entry box to browser menu, or a button for it directly on screen (similar to back button)
- Alarm clock set for weekdays doesn't shut off on weekend
- Snooze and dismiss buttons should be moved further apart
- Alarm clock made part of online backup (late for work the next day when I exchanged my phone)
And most importantly:
- Use cattle prod to get Adobe to release FREE Flash plugin app for browser and make sure to beat Apple to it!

Message Edited by kx250ryder on 06-16-2009 09:01 AM#1 should be to fix the "Next Sync in 0 Minutes" bug with the email. I have the issue and tried everything under the sun so far to fix it. I'll be calling palm tomorrow to see what they can do, however in my research I have found dozens of people posting this issue online, and there are only temporary fixes that work for one sync.

We connected a 3825 to a Nortel PBX today and had some weird clocking issues. We're using VWIC-2MFT-T1 modules and I think I need to learn more about how clocking works with these things. The PBX didn't seem to like it when the router provided clock. The engineer working with us told us that he thinks the clock on the router is not stable enough to provide clocking.
Have any of you had any issues using a router to provide clocking to a PBX? It seems like it shouldn't be a problem but we kept experiencing slips on the Nortel side if the router was providing clocking.
This creates a problem for us. We will be connecting one port to a frame relay data circuit and that port must be set to "clock source line". If the router can't provide clock to the PBX then that port also must be set to "clock source line".
I ran across a tech note that says the following:
"When both ports on a VWIC-2MFT-T1, VWIC-2MFT-E1, VWIC-2MFT-G703, or VWIC-2MFT-E1-DI interface card are configured as clock source line, then they must be set to the same clock source. If they are not set to the same clock source, timing slips can occur. Each port on the VWIC2-2MFT-T1/E1 and VWIC2-2MFT-G703 interface cards can be set to independent clock sources for data applications."
Are we going to run into problems since we don't have the VWIC2 modules?
I don't understand the way clocking works with these modules anyway. With only one port connected to the PBX we were seeing slips even with the router was set to "line". We fixed that by using the "network-clock-select 1 T1 0/0/0" command. I don't know what that command actually does but it stabilized the clock and eliminated the slips. Weird. I need to go do some research on this issue because we need to get it figured out and settled soon.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
JohnThe 2800 and 3800 routers have internal tdm buses that can be used to tdm switch between any ports on the box. You use 'network-clock-select' to pick the clocking source for the internal tdm bus. This clock source is then used for every interface that is identified via the 'network-clock-participate' command. The best you can do in your case is to clock off the frame relay network and see if you get slips on the T1 to the nortel, or clock off the nortel and check for slips to FR. Make sure the nortel is set up correctly to either take clocking from the T1 or provide clocking on the T1 - you may not have a choice there depending on protocol used. Best practice (and what you may end up needing to do) is to separate the T1s onto different VWICs so that clocking can be independent. Even with a VWIC2 you only get 1 clock source if using voice (with data can run ports independently).
The internal clock on the router, like the internal clock on the PBX, should only be used for fallback as they aren't nearly as accurate as what is used in the cloud. For this reason you create a synchronization plan that cascades the clock from the cloud. In your case the nortel would clock off the PSTN (I'm sure already being done) and cascades clocking to the 3825. When you get more PSTN trunking into the IP side of things you would want to swap - have the 3825 clock off a PSTN T1 and then cascade clocking to the Nortel.

Wacom Intuos GD-0608-U driver for OS X Maverick 10.9.3
Greetings!
Is there a tablet driver for the Wacom Intuos model GD-0608-U for OS X Maverick 10.9.3? The driver I downloaded from the Wacom website apparently doesn't work for my older model tablet, which still works amazing. The tablet itself lights up properly when the pen is touched to the surface, but there is no corresponding response on my Macbook Air (2011 model). I do not want to purchase a new tablet (unless I can find a free one haha) because they are so pricey; is there a driver elsewhere on the web that works with this model tablet and Mac software? Thank you!Eric,
That's the driver that I downloaded on the website that doesn't work with my tablet. It downloaded fine, but my tablet still warrants no response whatsoever on my computer. :/ Thank you for the reply. I feel as though maybe I'm going to have to find a less orthodox way of resolving my issue? -
[Labtools 27-1395] Unable to arm ILA 'hw_ila_1'. The core clock is slow or no core clock connected for this ILA or the ILA core may not meet timing.
I have seen related forums but cant get any help. My timing is completely fine. I tried all JTAG frequencies from 1.5MHZ to `12 MHZ. My clk for ILA core runs at 100 MHZ.
If i remove one IP , then the ILA core works. THE BD is attached. If i remove the right most IP(HLS_croppin) it works. I really cant understand. There is nothign worng with the timin in either case. There are four possible reasons for this problem:
- The trigger condition is never met;
- The trigger clock (clock mapped to the ILA Core) is stopped;
- A known issue exists with the Storage Qualification feature;
- BUFG is not being used on JTAG CLK (for the ICON).
The trigger condition is never met
Check the message at the bottom of the ChipScope Analyzer window. If it is similar to "Waiting for trigger, Sample buffer has 0 samples(0%)," proceed as follows:
1. Go to "Trigger Setup" and "Trigger Immediate." If ChipScope Analyzer starts the acquisition and shows the samples (the waveform appears), your design is fine; the clock is running, but your trigger condition never occurs.
2. In the "Trigger Setup windows, ensure that you have set the condition correctly if you are sure that this event (the trigger condition) happens in your design.
The trigger clock is stopped
If the message at the bottom of the window is similar to "Waiting for Core to be armed, slow or stopped clock," the trigger condition is not the problem -- the ILA Core does not have a valid clock and is not able to start the acquisition. To fix this, ensure that you have mapped a valid clock (in ChipScope Inserter or ChipScope Generator). If you are not sure if the clock mapped to the ILA Core is running, try to connect your system clock instead (or a clock that you are sure is running).
BUFG is not used on ICON's JTAG clock
If the JTAG clock does not use a BUFG, the "Waiting for upload" message can appear.
In some instances, slowing down the cable speed might provide a suitable work-around.

Item Conversion Template Issue for Oracle Migration - Copy functionality
Hi,
I am working on Migration project which is from Radius ERP to Oracle 11.5.10.2.
Currently working on Item Conversion. This Item conversion having the fileds like (ORGANIZATION_ID,SEGMENT1,DESCRIPTION,ITEM_TYPE,COST_OF_SALES_ACCOUNT,SALES_ACCOUNT,ATTRIBUTE_CATEGORY,ATTRIBUTE1,ATTRIBUTE2,ATTRIBUTE3,ATTRIBUTE4,ATTRIBUTE5,ATTRIBUTE6,ATTRIBUTE7,ATTRIBUTE8,ATTRIBUTE9,ATTRIBUTE10,ATTRIBUTE11,ATTRIBUTE12,ATTRIBUTE13,ATTRIBUTE14,ATTRIBUTE15,GLOBAL_ATTRIBUTE10,REF_INVENTORY_ITEM_ID,REF_ORGANIZATION_ID).
I have validated those fields and loaded into interfacing to Oracle Successfully in the master Org and Validated through Frontend.
when I close the form, I will be receiving the below warning message and telling that Template id needs to be assign to the item before assigning item to the Org. The message is showing like
"*You have not applied a template to this item, please apply a template before assigning this item to an ORG.*"
Please find the below package which I wrote for this conversion requirement.
The customer is saying like need to achieve the copy functionality based on the "REF_INVENTORY_ITEM_ID and REF_ORGANIZATION_ID".
The Issue is am not able to handle the copy functionality and getting above message. kindly refer the package and suggest me where i am doing the mistake. Its high priority issue for me.
Thanks in advance.

Performance Issue for BI system
Hello,
We are facing performance issues for BI System. Its a preproductive system and its performance is degrading badly everyday. I was checking system came to know program buffer hit ratio is increaasing everyday due to high Swaps. So asked to change the parameter abap/buffersize which was 300Mb to 500Mb. But still no major improvement is found in the system.
There is 16GB Ram available and Server is HP-UX and with Netweaver2004s with Oracle 10.2.0.4.0 installed in it.
The Main problem is while running a report or creating a query is taking way too long time.
Kindly help me.Hello SIva,
Thanks for your reply but i have checked ST02 and ST03 and also SM50 and its normal
we are having 9 dialog processes, 3 Background , 2 Update and 1 spool.
No one is using the system currently but in ST02 i can see the swaps are in red.

Transformation Issue for 2LIS_03_BF
Dear All.
I am facing very strange issue for 0IC_C03 with the transformation of 2LiS_03_BF the cube was first got loaded from our Sandbox and every thing was fine, latter we connect BW development with R/3 development.
i have transfer all the data source for MM Inventory and try to create the transformation for 2LiS_03_BF for the infosource 2LIS_03_BF_TR but it did not map any field, but with the sand box client with the same data source it mapped all the fields.
Also when i try to load the 2lis_03_bf it make all the key field values to 0 even the process key is determined correctly in the R/3 side and Industry determination is alo set and also in BF10 BW is selected.
i try to debug the update rule and found that the process key and the value is updated correctly in the routine but after that there is an exception coming CX_RSROUT_SKIP_VAL.
please help....Yes reinstalling the business contents solve the problem and it come up with all the mappings but the strange problem is that all of my key figures after loading showing '0' value.
i try to simulate the DTP by applying a break point on one routine and during the debugging it is filling the correct values and after some steps its throwing a CX_RSROUT_SKIP_VAL exception which might deleting the target value.
i am totally lost that why this exception is coming as before it never comes it only comes when we connect the development system and try to load the cube from there.
in between can you please help me out for getting rid of this exception.
thanks & best regards, -
Hello, I am getting a Kern Protection failure error message when trying to start up my Olympus DSS Player dictation software. I have been using the software without issue for years until last month. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software and don't recall installing any new software before the issue began.

To restrict Issue for production than planned qty in production order
Hi Experts,
In my scenario, the production staff will prepare production order and right click in production order document and select "Issue Components" option to Issue raw materials for production floor. After issuing the raw materials to production floor closes the "Issue for Production" document and now we have "Production Order" document open in screen. When he again select "Issue Components" option and issues the raw materials once again. Materials are issued once again wrongly. This happens since the production order document is not getting refresh after "Issue for Production" document is done.
Is there any way to restrict issue of raw materials than the planned qty.?
I have tried lot of ways to restrict this through SP. Please revert me an solution to this issue.
The procedure should trigger immediately when the "Issue Components" option is selected second time (If the raw materials are issued in full in first time itself). And it should allow only the qty which is to issued to production order qty (if they issue part issue to production order)
Thanks in advance
Raja.SHi Neetu,
Thanks for your quick response. I have tried this query. But it is not blocking the issue for production document even the raw materials are issued already for the production order.
I'll explain my work flow again. The Production staff will prepare production order and then release the same and update the production order after changing the status for "Release". Then he will right click the Mouse button and select "Issue Components" option and perform the Issue for Production process. He will issue the required raw material completely in one shot and add the Issue for Production document.
After adding the Issue for Production document he will close that document and now we will be in Production order document. Now our production order document will not get refreshed. Now the Production staff go for "Issue components" option, then it should not allow him to issue the components once again. But it is allowing him to issue components any number of times. there is no control.
If we browse the production order document to previous record and browse back to the same record then my Production order document get refreshed and now we can control the issue. But what should i do to control in the earlier case. Since they want to perfrom lot of production order, there is a chance to issue components for same production order more than one time before the production order document get refreshed.
Please provide me the SP to control this scenario.
Thanks in advance.
