Hi everyone, I thought I'd post this message to the techies here so you don't make the same mistake I did on my new computer, And maybe give me a little advice...
I'm a huge gamer. I wanted the fastest possible combination of speed and technology I could find to make a super machine. I purchaced a lightning combination, as follows....
Intel 3.06 processor
(850E family based Mother board)
2 GIG 32bit Pc3200 Rambus
new Radeon 9800
2x (striped) Seagate Cheetah SCSI @15000RPM
The system accesses the internet, Os, and non-graphical applications with almost godlike speed. But for open GL...well it's terrible.
The computer crashes constanly. It seems that 850 Intel chipsets just suck under graphical stress and it's because of the 1.4V AGP slot on every board.
It's not a driver problem. I've had a team of 6 personnel disect the computer, specilising in finding a drivers that are compatible with device to device.
Here's my questions for you guys and gals.
1. Does any of you MSI guys know anything about crash problems with a computer of this spec?
2. Do any of you know anything I don't about Rambus and 1.4 AGP instability?
3. Does anyone know a fix....or anything I could do at this point to get back into open GL applications??

What do you mean by '1.4V AGP' ??
Are you referring to electric current? Then you are dead wrong, current AGP cards need a minimum of 1.5 Volts.
Any why-o-why are you using openGL for games? The 9800 series are blazing fast ... in D3D. OpenGL (and its decendant Glide) are not supported by most recent games.
The 850/850E are one of the most powerfull solutions to building a performance system, only surpassed by the 865/875 chips.
A friend of mine owns a 850E in combination with a 9700pro and has no problem at all. Maybe your board and/or graphic card are not 100%. No way of telling really, so i'm afraid i can't help you any further.

This article seems to be based off of an older version of iTunes. With iTunes 11 I have no left side column. The screen shot is not what is on my computer with the latest version of iTunes. I need help putting music and pictures on my new iPad from iTunes, the new iPad and latest version of iTunes. Thank you.
On iTunes 11 you can enable the left-hand sidebar via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC - it should then look similar to that article.

Note that synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next photo sync - so you need to include all the photos that you want on the iPad from your computer in each photo sync. -
Authorize Computer with the latest version of iTunes installed?
I searched all the previous threads with detailed information on how to authorize your computer, and it goes like this:
1) Go to your library
2) On the menu bar, choose 'Store' and then from the drop down menu choose "Authorize Computer"
I just downloaded the newest version today (2/23/2013) and my Menu bar is now totally different than the previous version on my other laptop.
On one end it says MUSIC in the middle it says Songs, Albums, Artists, Genres, Playlists, Radio, and Match. And on the other end it says iTunes Store.
The old menu bar has vanished, the new menu has no place in the iTunes library to choose "Authorize Computer",. is there anyone who has the LATEST version of iTunes that knows where to go to authorize my computer?
I actually authorized it by using "Home Sharing" feature,and I'm not sure how I found this but when it asked if I wanted to authorize the computer, I chose it, but that was not found in the instructions anywhere, so does anyone know what the deal is? Do they need new instructions for this latest version, or am I just an idiot?If you're using Mac OS X, move the cursor to the very top of the computer's screen.

Hi there!
I can´t update my software, it starts to download and everything but when it is supposed to start the update I only get an error message.
The update is to the 12.1 version of the software and with a size of 67 MB.
The error message that I get is like follows:
"Adobe Premiere Elements 12.1-update
An error has occurred during the installation of this update. Cancel and try again later. Error code: U44M1I210"
Can anyone help me to find a solution of this problem please?
I run 64-bit version of Windows 7. (And I have the 64-bit version of Premiere Elements 12)

Please look at the following possible Premiere Elements 12 solution for the 12 to 12.1 Update.
I am assuming that you are using Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit. If others, please supply more details.
Do you have Premiere CC or any Creative Cloud products on this same computer?
Right click the Premiere Elements 12 desktop icon and select Run As Administrator. Also, assure that you are running your
computer and Premiere Elements from a User Account with Administrative Privileges.
Disable the antivirus and in particular the firewall(s).
Then open Premiere Elements 12 to Expert workspace Help Menu/Update and determine if you can Update from 12 to 12.1.

Uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes has no affect on the media on the computer or the account it is linked to.
If the media was purchased under another iTunes account, then it is permanently tied to that account.
Using mulitple iDevices with one computer -
When I use the same cable with the wall adapter it charges just fine.
LOL My situation is the opposite. plug my iPhone 3GS with USB cable and attach to mini adaptor (or whatever the small one is called) and it does not charge. Connect the same iPhone 3GS to my MacBook, using same cable, an charging takes place for iPhone. Then, connected the iPhone to the AC power with the large Apple AC adaptor and it always charges. Seems to be the small adaptor and sometimes a third party automobile adapter.
At first I thought this might be because I was using third party USB cable, but now wonder about that since there are so many problems that others are having.
Having scoured the discussions, it appears no definitive answer has been given. Am I wrong. Maybe I never found the answer to what is happening here.

I have a new MacBook Air with the latest Mac OS and I down loaded the latest version of Firefox from your web site. I am trying to set my igoogle page as my home page. I log into my igoogle home page and then go to the Preferences option on the Firefox menu. I click the option to use the current page as my home page. As long as I am logged into Firefox it takes me back to my igoogle home page when I click on the Home icon. If I log out of Firefox and open it again later in the day it takes me to the igoogle log in page but not my home page. I have a Mac at home and do not have this problem and I do not have this problem with my PC at the office.

It's my own fault. I was warned that my old iMac (running only on Tiger) was not capable of receiving Firefox 4. But I did an experiment and tried loading it anyway.
Now, a disabled version of Firefox, that I cannot open, is the only version of Firefox on my computer. I'm sure it made everything I was using on Firefox disappear!
Is there some way to replace this disabled version with the latest one I CAN support?Downgrading from Firefox 4 to Firefox 3.6.20
1. Visit ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.6.20/mac/
2. Find your language and Open Firefox 3.6.20 folder
3. Download and install Firefox setup file (3.6.20 dmg)
You’ll be automatically downgraded to Firefox 3.6.20 and your favorite add-ons, bookmarks and settings will remain untouched.

I tried to update iTunes with the latest release and it screwed everything up on my desktop (Windows 7) and on my laptop (Windows Vista) giving error messages related to runtime error, etc. Tried to recover previous version and it would not recover fully. Now have no itunes on either computer and it will not install properly or open after quasi installed. Help please

I updated the IPAD with the latest update and now when I turned the IPAD on, I get the itunes logo and then nothing else. How can I fix this to let me use my IPAD?
YOU ARE IN RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary. -
I am trying to restore information on an older Iphone and am running into the difficulty of restoring my backup. The backup says its incompatible with the iOS on the old phone so it will not let me choose the latest iphone backup. Is there a way to update my old iPhone before I restore that backup? I already have tried to sync it with the latest version of ITunes. I am nervous to restore to an older backup in case the newer backup will not show up again.
What you have to first do is update your old phone using iTunes. Once done: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. You should now be able to use that backup.

I used to be able to sync my iphone with itunes, but now when I plug my iphone into my computer it no longer syncs or even shows the device icon. Could this be because I have an old iphone and it's not compatible with the latest version of itunes?

Restore it using the computer it normally syncs with, this should not require an iOS update.
