A contract I never approved of??

My problem is I signed up for Verizon in October and specifically requested no contract service or I would go with another cable company So  I may upgrade or downgrade services when I like and today I goto upgrade to hd services and lone behold I'm in a 1 year contract I never agreed to mind you I also pay full price with no discounts as most contracts give I'm not in the mood to go the legal route with a cable contract which I would win hands down from the recording of me signing up what can be done to rectify this problem 

Hey have you tried talking to your local billing department about this issue because here at the forums we would not be able to make any changes on your bill.

    Requisitions that are never approved
    I'm wondering what other companies are doing (if anything) about requisitions that never get approved.  Is there any bad side effect or strange metrics that are produced if there is an ever growing pool of requests that are basically in limbo?  We're on 2006.0.6. 
    When we first implemented RC, professional services recommended putting an escalation in that would notify us (administrators) when an approval task was way overdue so that we could cancel the request.  Well now that we're actually using the system we've discovered that it isn't even possible to cancel the request during the approval moment (only the requestor can).  We could "reject" the approval, although that isn't really what we want to do and may cause more confusion with the customer.
    So I'm hoping someone out there with a more mature install has some wisdom for me.  I'm hoping that its fine to just ignore the requests that are never approved, but I don't want to find out later on that it was a mistake :)

  • SRM contract in awaiting approval state

    Hi Gurus,
    We are facing an issue where srm contract is approved via a n step badi workflow. But even after completion of workflow the document remains in awaiting approval state.
    The step which sets the document status to released status is called in background step in workflow.
    If we examine the workflow logs they indicate the successful execution of this release step without any error.
    However document is not released.
    On further investigation we found that if the business partners who are present in active version and who have got expired at the time of creation of change version causes this to happnen.
    Presently we have a workaround by which we replace the expired business partner with a new business partner in active version and then release the change version.
    However to develop a permanent fix we are not able to replicate this scenario in our system.
    Kindly provide your guidance on this issue.

    you have a root cause of this problem

    for testing purpose you can delete this test user or ask basis person to inactivate this user .
    1. create a GOA by test user19 buyer1)
    2. Approve a GOA by test manager1
    3. now delete user1 or inactivate the user1 id BY CHANGING THE VALIDIDTY DATE OF THE USER .
    4. revise the GOA by user2 (buyer2) and approve it . will you recreate the same /
    RELEASED AT TOP BUT CHANGE VERSION AWAITING FOR APPROVAL IN THE APPROVAL PREVIEW.
    if your analysis is true. it is your wonderful investigation.

  • Contract N-Step approval workflow - WS14000148

    Hi,
    I have activated the workflow template WS14000148 and implemented the badi definition 'BBP_WFL_APPROV_BADI' to populate the agents for routing the workflow notification.
    When i create a contract, the workitem is going to the corresponding manager, but the 'Approve' and 'Reject' buttons are disabled on the Approval step of the workitem. I have checked for activation of work flow tasks, and also assigned agents to the required tasks.
    Can anyone please help why the 'Approve' and 'Reject' buttons are disabled.

  • WS14000088 one-step Approval of contracts

    Dear SRM Friends,
    I have problem with finding the right approver for my workflow 14000088 one-step approval of contracts.
    The process is easy:
    My purchaser with user role: SAP_EC_BBP_PURCHASER should create the contract. Afterwards my Manager1 with user role: SAP_BBP_STAL_PURCHASER_MANAGER should approve this contract.
    Beside I have to say, that my Manager stands above serval organisational units  - but he is the only one - who has this role SAP_BBP_STAL_PURCHASER. And in my workflow this role ist determined.
    So I aspect that my Manager1 will be displayd in Approval Preview - but it didn´t. Instead of that there appears the Manager2 of the organisational unit of my Purchaser.
    But how can that be? Manager2 did´nt have the role SAP_BBP_STAL_PURCHASER.

    Hi,
    The approver for one-step approval of contracts is determined from the org structure as the manager of the user that creates the contract. So this is working correctly for you since manager2 is the org manager. The check on the agents of the task also occurs and since this is set to general, then manager2 will always be selected. Basically the intersection between the agents of the task and the org unit manager will be selected. If you change the agent of the task to have the SAP_BBP_STAL_PURCHASER role, then you will get an error when creating the contract since no approver will be found.
    If you want to have the approver determined in a different way then you would need to use the n-step approval badi workflow for contract, WS14000148. This will allow you to determine the approver using your own code.
    By the way, if you want to change the agents for the task, then display the task in PFTC. Goto
    Additional Data ->
    Agent Assignment ->
    Maintain ->
    Click on Attrributes ->
    Select radio button -> Forwarding not allowed ->
    Now Select from the menu -> Agent Assignment -> Create
    You should now be able to add a role.

    Hello SRM Folks,
    We are on SRM SERVER 550 with support package SAPKIBKT09 - strategic sourcing. We have activated the Workflow Without Approval for Contract for event  saved and save change version (no approval required ). The strange part is that the contract status is still Awaiting Approval  although the contract header data - approval preview says No Approval Required.
    The SAP note '1018880 - Contract Remains in Status Awaiting Approval' describe the same issue but we  already have that correction in our system. Could you please suggest your view about this issue.

    General steps for trouble shooting.
    1. Transaction BBP_PD
        - Check document status
        - Find workitem ID
    2. Transaction SWI1 or SWI6
       - paste the workitem ID
       - Check workflow status and log
    3. If you find some errors
      - check SWU2 and ST22
    4. In case your workflow template was not generated.
    Please check the note 962488 "Workflow definition '&' not in version '&'".
    1. Run the function module SWD_WFD_REPLICATE_FROM_9999 and copy it.
    2. Re-activate the WF definitions in the transaction SWDD
    3. Check Consistency in the transaction SWUD
    Also check the sub workflow.

    Hello everybody,
    I need a Workflow for 2 level of approval of work contract.
    Whenever a user make a work contract it requires approval upto two level.If Authority1 approves the contract it will go for the 2nd level approval to authority 2.If Authority2 reject that then it will come back to the creater to change it or withdraw the contract.If authority2 approve that then the work contract will be finally approved and complete the workflow else it will return back again to the creater.
       Can some one tell me whether any standard workflow is available in SAP for Work Contract approval? Which BOR Object will be useful If I have to made custom development?

    I have setup approval strategy for MM contracts (outline agreements).
    Via trx ME35K I can approve the contract, but I don't find a way to reject the contract ?
    Is there a way to reject a contract like it is possible for PR and PO approval ?

    thanks for your answer, indeed you can cancel a contract approval but my question was about how to reject a contract without first approving it ?
    Like in the PR/PO approval, you have two buttons: one to approve and one to reject a PO.
    our users want to have the possibility to reject the contract in case the contract contains wrong information.

    I have approved the above patches in WSUS and ran syncronization. The log wsyncmgr.log show that synchronization is done and even all child sites are syncronized. But I am unable to find the above even in the parent site. Checked all the SUP settings and
    all the 2008 server updates are set and marked to download.
    Please help me out on fixing this.

    So you should NEVER approve anything in WSUS. This will cause problems with your clients. Honestly since you approved things in WSUS, I would uninstall WSUS and reinstall it, reinstall the SUP, this will clear up any issues that now exist.

    I have a requirement in SRM 7.02.  We are creating contracts and replicating to ECC system via idocs only.
    In SRM we are using only Strategic sourcing and contracts only.
    I just wanted to know , suppose  contract is created in SRM system  and for triggering Aprroval WF what are the conditions I can consider?
    ( customer interested on n level approval. )
    Generally for SC, we will check value of SH and account assignement like that for Contracts what would be the conditions for triggering WF??
    and one more question is  when contract will come into "Released status" means Released contract will trigger approval WF  in SRM or approved contract will come into "Released" status and replicate to MM system - Please confirm me.

    Hi,
    You can trigger contract workflow based on value and in a lot of cases its based on the document type. For example:
    Start conditions:
    &Purchase Contract.Transaction Type&            ZSCH and
    &Purchase Contract.Transaction Type&            CCTR    
    While in the SRM application if you go to transaction SWB_COND, you then search for Business Object (in your case contract) and here you can see/maintain the start conditions for each workflow.
    In relation to the released status, if the contract goes for approval only after it is completely approved then it will go into Released status.

    Hi,
    It is either possible to use workflow (or) not to use workflow.
    It is not possible to deactivate workflow in the middle of the approval process. for example if the approver changes the contract and approves, then the contract will be approved if it is single step approval.
    if the approver changes the contract and then approves , then it will be send either to the next approver (or) creator depending on workflow security leve.
    But i am sorry it is not possible to deactivate workflow in the middle of workflow process.

    In BBP_PD status is
    HEADER     I1015          Awaiting Approval
    In Document display 'Approval Preview', I can see workflow started -> Result:Approved .
    If I check the workitem under SWIA, I can see status 'completed'.
    What could be the reason of this mismatch?
