A control panel like the one on the MoviePlayer - iPhone

Does anyone have an idea/or example on how to create a control panel on iPhone ( with backward,stop,forward buttons) similar to the one the moviePlayer uses?

You mean the one with the green icon with a white chat bubble? If so, that is the messaging app for SMS or MMS. It doesn't exist on the iPad as the iPad is not a phone and therefore does not have SMS/MMS capability (though there are apps you can use to fake it).

You can get your photos off your phone. If they are all in Camera Roll just import them to your new computer (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083). If some of them were synced to your iphone from your computer (i.e., in photo library) just use an app like PhotoSync and send them to your new computer wirelessly. For that matter, you can sync your phone with your new computer without losing your data and settings if you carefully follow this guide: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141. Your only issue will be non-purchased music on your phone which is not in your new iTunes library, which will require 3rd party software such as Touch Copy to transfer from your phone to iTunes (or you will have to rip you CDs again to import them).

Open "Java Preferences" either from spotlight or your utilities folder...it's probably going to say you need to install a java runtime. Then just click install!

Cannot uninstall Mozilla Firefox 4.0.1, downloaded two days back using the control panel or the Revo Uninstaller.

I had downloaded Mozilla Firefox 2 days back, overriding the existing version 3.6.13.
But I find the new version rather unusable. I am very familiar with the FF 3.6 version, which I have been using over 2 years. Hence I would like to revert back to the earlier version 3.6.13.
Mozilla Help informed that I should first uninstall version 4.x and then reinstall the earlier version.''But I am unable to find the version 4.x, either through the Control Panel or through the program Revo Unistaller'''. '''How can I proceed to restore back the earlier version 3.6?'''

Thanks for your comments . I think that my wording in the question has caused some ambiguity. Actually, I updated using the Mozilla FF Help menu only. I was trying to '''uninstall''' the new version using the Revo Uninstaller, as I did not find the FF 4.0.1 in the Windows Uninstall List, and not '''installing''' it through Revo Uninstaller. What's the precise text of that error message, please? (There's a few different ones I can think of that you might be getting.)

I cannot sign in to iCloud control panel. The spinner keeps spinning

I have tried everything I can find to resolve this. I open the control panel and I am asked to log in. I enter my Apple ID and Password but nothing happens except the spinner appears and keeps on spinning.
I have deleted the MobileMe from my PC and cannot re-load it but others in the forum have found this not to be a reliable solution.

You'll get that message if your device has already been used to create 3 different iCloud accounts on the device itself. You have to create the new account on your computer, then set it up on your phone. There is no other way around this limitation.

So I have been thinking about getting a white IPhone over the black one and was just curious how many pepole prefer the white over the black one I like the white one cause it is different and starting to grow on me plus not very many pepole have the white one I don't see to many guys with the white one but don't get. Me wrong I have seen a few any way my questions is how many men have the white one ? Sorry gals just curious on this one

How to change the java control panel and the default java in windows.

Please help on the above problem. I need the answer urgently.
I have two java version 1.4 and 1.5. I first installed the java version 1.4.2_06 and then 1.5.0_19.Now the default java is 1.5.
Now I want to chang the java settings to 1.4 by changing the envioronment variable (classpath,path,java_home)
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_09;C:\j2sdk1.4.2_06
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_09\lib;C:\j2sdk1.4.2_06\bin
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_09\bin;C:\j2sdk1.4.2_06\bin
But after setting these does not solve the problem. The java control panel which appears is the same what was appearing for java 1.5.
I want to see the control panel for 1.4.2_06.

When I opened your post and saw that line, I immediately moved it to the 'last in line' of a whole bunch of other stuff I did not have time to look at immediately. Now that all that other stuff that did not bore me with someone else's time constraints is out of the way/taken care of, I've returned to your post.

I am running Windows XP PRO. Firefox 3.6 islisted in in my computer and I cannot delete it in the control panel using the Add of Delete Function. I have even gon into the safe mode and I still cannot delete it.

I want to intall Mozilla Firefox 4. Will this delete the contents of Firefox 3.6? I was to the point that I was ready to Reboot the Whole system. I called Microsoft and they resolved the Silverstream issue. When in the control panel I click on the delete function all that is does is stay at Blue. It will not delete and it does not give me any message.

The normal method is simply
* Help -> Check for Updates
on Firefox (Window XP)

You should be able to delete Firefox and remove it, from your Windows XP control panel although that may not be what you intend.
If you have doubts about compatibility stay with Firefox3.6 for now.
Some software extensions will currently have problems with firefox 4 (and that iircc may include some versions of silverlight )
Do NOT use any delete settings (or whatever it is worded) that will loose all your passwords and bookmarks.
BTW the safe mode in relation to Firefox is a totally different concept from Windows safe mode, but you probably have no need to use either of them.

On an ordinary upgrade Firefox will preserve your profile details which include bookmarks any passwords.
You should have no problems in installing Firefox 4. You should be able to install firefox 4, and retain any bookmarks etc that were used in firefox 3.6, but sometimes extensions may be incompatible.

ICloud Control Panel Only Syncing One Way

I have been looking for a way to sync my information across my Outlook (exchange) calendar on work PC and iPhone 5. Came across the iCloud Control Panel and it seems to be a great solution. I installed it on the work PC and got all the iCloud calendars to show up on Outlook, but the Outlook calendar doesn't show up on my iPhone or on iCloud. Any ideas/troubleshooting tips for making the sync go both ways?
If I add a calendar event to my iCloud calendar using Outlook it shows up on my iPhone, but the Outlook calendar is not an option that I can select/view at all on iCal.

I signed out and deleted iCloud on both devices. I shut them down and restarted. Neither the iPad or the iPhone will accept my password in the Software Updates.
I can re-set up iCloud with my password and purchase Apps on both devices. It just will not accept the Software Update. I look forward to your ideas.

Does the 3G get better signal in the dock? (like the orignal iPhone)

For those of you who have the 3G, do you find that you get more bars when the iPhone is sitting in its dock? This has always been the case for the original iPhone.

I recently took an hour drive to the nearest Apple Store to talk about my iPhone 3G reception problems at the genius bar only to be told I needed to make an appointment. So as not to be a totally wasted trip, I picked up a couple of accessories. One of my purchases was the iPhone 3G Dock. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that it boosted my nearly nonexistent signal at home to two or three bars. This occurs whether it is plugged in or not, as I get the same benefit when the phone is just in the dock with no cable attached. I can use it as a stand and easily use the speakerphone feature and plug it in when the phone needs charging.
