A Different Pre-EAS Issue - sporadic e-mail
I have not seen this in any of the posts. I apologize if it has come up and I just missed it.
We are running a Zimbra Server, using EAS. My initial set-up with the Palm Pre (proud to say on the Saturday it was released) seemed to work flawlessly out of the box. It was actually amazingly easy and just appeared to work. The only thing that was not obvious to me during setup was the need to enter the "https://" in front of the server name. That's a bit unusual. But it was in the built-in help and everything worked when I followed those instructions.
However, whether I set it to Sync "As items arrive" or on a time interval, it seems to randomly get messages or not get them as they arrive. It will often go for hours with no messages showing up, then they will all appear at once. At other times, it will properly alert me as each new message comes in. I have tried leaving the mail app running and closing it. That doesn't appear to affect it. When it doesn't get messages, even pressing the Sync button manually does not retrieve them. Meanwhile, I can be looking at Outlook on my PC and see that there are several new messages.
There do not appear to be any Zimbra-side issues at play. I never had this problem on my prevous phone, an AT&T Treo 750 running Windows Mobile, which also connected to the same server via EAS. Our IT dept has looked at the Zimbra logs and didn't see anything unusual
Any suggestions? Do you think this is related to the issues Palm is working on? It doesn't sound related to the SSL and certificate issues.

Not sure yet, but it appears that doing a full power cycle on the unit (pressing and holding the power button for several seconds, until the unit says PALM on the screen and shuts down, waiting a few seconds, then pressing again to turn it back on), may have resolved the e-mail problem. It's only been 1 day since I did this, so it may be a coincidence, but so far so good.
Note that if this was the fix, it still implies some kind of bug somewhere that the mail app became corrupted in the first place. It should not be necessary to power off the unit from time to time to keep the mail program working properly.

Is anyone else having issues with their mail , where the reply from the person you just contacted contains very old emails from a different contact ?
I mean that I sent an email to a contact of mine yesterday. His reply contained a stream of very old emails I had received in 2009 from a totally different contact all together !! The reply email was in my inbox as being from the original person I sent the email to. This is starting to happen more regularly now , so is a problem !

Please review the screen shots. As you can see the Comp preview in After Effects looks quite a bit different than what Media Encoder and Premiere Pro is displaying.
This seems to be related to pre-comping because if I pre-comp the layers in AE I get the same mis-alignment... Clealy I want to the alignment to stay intact.
Here is what it looks like in After Effects:
Side by side of After Effects and the preview of Media Encoder. Notice how the You are watching right edge does not align with the bottom box right edge in Media Encoder?
And finally how it appears when importing the After Effects project into Premiere Pro. Same issue as Media Encoder.
While the most obvious issue is the alignment of the boxes, there is also an issue with the over all size. The AE project was aligned striktly to Safe Margins, but that alignment is lost in Premiere.
The issue seems to be a pre-comp issue in AE becuase I can produce the same result if I pre-comp all the layers in the AE project.
I'd like to attach the AE project, but cannot seem to find a way to do this. If this is possible, please let me know how.

You can get faster help by posting the Mac OS version you have and more details about your iMac. They have been in continuous productionsince 1998 with four distinct procesor families, and each ahve different troubleshooting steps. If you called a Ford dealer about a car problem, the first thing ithey will ask is "which Ford model and year?" Same deal here.
The processor description is found when you do "About this Mac" and will be a good start for identifying your iMac model; the Mac OSX will be there too. -
Pre - Where are my e-mails going?
I have pretty basic work e-mail service using POP3 servers. I have my Pre configured to leave e-mails on the server so they can all be downloaded to my office desktop.
I just noticed that when I have read an e-mail on my Pre but choose to save it by just leaving it in my inbox, the e-mail automatically disappears (as in not even in the trash folder) once the e-mail is downloaded on my desktop (and thus removed from the POP3 mail server) and I then next get e-mail on my Pre. It seems that if the message is no longer on the server, the Pre just deletes it from the phone.
Curiously, this does not happen with e-mails in the trash folder, which must annoyingly be deleted one at a time.
Is there some way to solve at least this situation? I like to keep some old e-mails in my inbox on my Pre as reminders of tasks I need to complete. If they're going to self-delete, however, this obviously won't work.
I really can't believe the enormous step backward I have taken by "upgrading" from a Treo to a Pre! Very disappointing, to say the least.
Post relates to: Pre p100eww (Sprint)This is odd, thank you for providing the link to your email setup. But this should not be happening on the device. I have a pop email setup as you do but it does not do this. At this point this is an error on your device. We need to delete the account and recreated it. When you remove the account do a restart on your device. Then add it back on to your device and see if this issue keeps happening.
If it does you may need to Partial/Full erase the device.

Since the workflow canu2019t send link with more than 120 digits, weu2019re breaking the link into multiple parts.

The mail is defined in HTML.
Our client-(end-user) uses two application for email u2013 Lotus notes and outlook.
The above mentioned link works fine on Lotus notes, but is creating issue when received on Outlook.
Issue :
When the mail is received on outlook u2013 A space is introduced in the link, due to which on clicking of link u2013 nothing opens up.
It seems that when the first line of link is generated a space is introduced after that.
Solutions tried:
Weu2019ve tried to combine 3 variables into 1 and created link with just one line.
But this doesnu2019t seem to be working.
Any pointers towards the solution for Outlook will be really helpful.a possible solution that we implemented is:
create a method or Function module, by using classes like cl_bcs, cl_document_bcs, to send any kind of email (with any length text, even markup, attachments etc) to outlook (you can see standard program BCS_EXAMPLE_5 for reference).
invoke this function module from within the workflow, instead of using standard "Send Mail" step.

OS X 10.10.1 Apple Mail reliability issue with Virgin Mail Servers
Apple Mail(8.1) reliability issue with Virgin Mail Servers on my iMac and Laptop Pro with the new Yosemite update! Spent 1.5hrs with the virgin team (thought we solved it by changing from Auto to one minute update) only to find on return I still have an issue with Mail! On the iMac the account opens and I see all the mail arriving. When I switch over and the back, days of recent mail have disappeared?
If I search for one I saw, It is found?
On the Laptop Pro, its similar, but it also has a problem remembering the outgoing port no matter how often I save it keeps going back to port 143 and this makes the send fail each time?
Will I have to move to another mail client or is their a fix coming?The last version of Mail for Tiger is v2.1.3 & there won't be any updates/upgrades.
You might try the freeware mail app Thunderbird. http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/ It's newer than Mail for Tiger.

For anyone following this thread, I've found a solution to my problem. Turns out that a cute widget called FishTank appears to be the culprit. With it running in Dashboard (even when I don't see Dashboard) the Screensaver and Sleep functions don't work. I turned it off, not because I'm clever, just because I tired of it, and voilà, Screensaver and Sleep are now working. It can stay in my widgets list without any problem, it just can't be turned on. I'm going to delete it anyway, however.
Hope this points the way to solutions for some of the rest of you!

Having issues with Yahoo mail on ios4 on a 3GS
Is anyone else experiencing issues with Yahoo mail on their 3GS after the upgrade to ios4?? Keep getting an imap server error, but gmail works fine.
Same problem. I have two Yahoo! Mail accounts. One stopped sending mail, while the other was fine. (Both could receive, however.) To solve that, I deleted the problematic account from the phone and reinstalled it. It worked... until I synced by iPhone with iTunes. Now both Yahoo! Mail accounts will not work, and deleting them and reinstalling them does nothing.
Apple had better fix this. (Or I'll whine louder.) -
The recent software update on my HTC One has caused errors with Exchange ActiveSync issues. Calendar, mail and tasks sync fine but contacts won't sync. How do you correct this?
I had the same problem. Here is what worked for me. Open the mail app and delete your exchange account (Settings > Delete Account). Then re-add your Exchange account. After this my Exchange contacts showed up again.

Issues with Mac Mail & smtp Settings
For the past several days, I have had issues sending from Mail. I get an error message that mail cannot connect to the server. I've removed and re-added the outgoing mail settings and the smtp setting is correct. I've installed all updates and shut down and restarted numerous times. Every now and again, a message will get through and send very slowly, but most of the time, it just tells me it cannot send and offers me the chance to "Try Later" or "Try with Selected Server."
Anyone else experiencing such issues - would love to know troubleshooting advice.

I have not been able to use my mac mail for 2 months now because of the server issue. "Try later" or "Try with selected server " were at the beginning of this nightmare. Since then I have not received a single email in the inbox. I downloaded an article "How to use Gmail with Apple's Mail" by Stephen Korecky and tried to fix the problem. It did not work because the Apple Mail windows did not show what they were supposed to. I called my software wizard and he said he will have to come and fix it. He did not show up yet. It is very frustrating.

Issue sending e-mails to certain domain
I'm having an issue sending e-mails to domain capitaliii.com from my Ironport. I see the following message in the Ironport log.
"DNS Temporary Failure capitaliii.com MX - unable to reach nameserver on any valid IP"
When I issue a nslookup on the MX record from the Ironport, I get the below message.
Temporary query error: "unable to reach nameserver on any valid IP" looking up A record for "capitaliii.com" to nameserver

I can however do a successful a successful nslookup from my workstation. See the results below. Any ideas? I've done
a flushdns on the Ironport to no avail.

Apple knew by suggesting to favorite watches on folks online accounts that would give Apple a perspective of what to make more of and prepare for.
Now Apple is making thousands of watches a day and thanks to pre-orders they have an even better idea of what watches to make more of, faster and where to send them. Or out of the watches already made they know where to send them and what type to send.
This is a very personal item that required a special touch in manufacturing and then the matching up types and colors of bands to colors and types of metal that is not easy. The thought of the parameters of logistics all on it's own is a nightmare too. So if my delivery date says 4-6 weeks I consider myself to be lucky.
Just think some one at a manufacturing plant may be boxing your watch right now and placing it on a stack that is to be shipped to your point on a map. -
Hello...I've been dealing with a snarky email issue with Lion Mail.app for several months. The issue is that Lion Mail does not have the same email counts as the corresponding web mail server for that account shows, either grand total, or folder by folder.
Snow Leopard Mail, and Tiger Mail DO agree with the web server, and Thunderbird 8.0 installed in Lion does agree exactly with web mail.
Based on these observations, a lot of testing, and several deleting of email accounts and re-setting them up again, my feeling is that there is something wrong with Lion Mail.app's ability to handle IMAP
I certainly do like the Mail.app and it's my first choice, but I need to see an accurate view of my mail. Lion's Mail simply isn't giving it to me.
Any thoughts from those who've had an experience like this with Lion Mail.app? If you've had this problem and fixed it, how DID you fix it?
