Macbook Air Squeaky Space bar

Hi I was wondering what some of the underlying causes of a squeaky space bar are, as recently I have noticed a faint squeak when the space bar is pressed in the center, but if it is pressed to the far right bottom corner it does not, this is recently my 4th replacement and I cannot really be all that bothered returning this one if the causes of the problem is miniscule.
As I am not a computor technician, or someone who has a vast knowladge of the macbook air 13inch base model, I throw this question to anyone who is willing to help give me more answers, and support in regards to my dilemma.
Reason for returning my other macbook air products, was A: They where damaged out of the box, or they had internal structural issues, and yes they where purchased from the apple store, and they might have had a bad batch of products, so I dont really blame anyone, as apple replaced all of the products that where damaged, and have outstanding customer service.

I just delt with it, as the problem was minor, and wasnt noticeable only when in areas of utter silence, but after acouple more days the (spacebar) seemed to adujst and the noise was less, and become fainter till it was no more, but before I decided to just ignore it and let it work itself out I did some research of course
And my research lead to the conclusion that apple have had problems with the macbook air 11-13 inch models reason for this was the spacebar was not responsive in some cases so apple adjusted the space bar and tried to fix the problem, the problem was (the spacebar) was pressed to the point of no response during production, where it was less or not responsive in some cases, and there for the adjustment has thus caused another issue altogether where the space bar has been adjusted but has to much response in the mechanism causing the sound that we are all hearing if only for a short while.
My adivce is this jose, do not under any circumstances try or attempt to remove the spacebar by yourself, the 2012 macbook air was somehow designed so that no keys can be removed without the entire keyboard being replaced, I suggest you wait 2-3 days as I did and let it adjust on its own, but if the noise is not improving by any means I strongly suggest taking it in to the apple store of purchase before the 14 day period and getting a replacement.

Space bar stops working while texting

My ihpone 5 is only a few days old and it's my first iphone.
Twice today while I was texting, the space suddenly stopped working. The cursor would advance as if I had typed a period, and start a new sentence with a capital letter, but would only back space as far as where the space bar wouldn't work. I could not back up past that point and could only go forward if I started a new sentence. Has this happened to anyone else?

I agree with others, this doesn't sound like a ML problem. It is either a H/W problem, or..., it is possible that something got into the keyboard. For example, if you were eating around it, perhaps some type of crumb got under the key. That would do it too.

This can be a pain if you haven't done it before. But worth a try if you'd have to otherwise pay for a new keyboard (and if it is a crumb versus a bad switch/button).

Space Bar not responding during editting

Under normal circumstances when editting in the timeline, my reporters use the spacebar to play and pause/stop the timeline. There has been some issues of late where the space bar seems to not be working, and requires two or three pushes before it plays or pauses the video in the timeline. The video being rendered does not affect it one way or the other, and it is not constant. It can happen at any time, and often doesn't affect a reporter, or will affect a reporter non-stop (both occured today). For the record, yes I have checked the keyboard and it is not the problem. The spacebar works fine for normal use, its just PPro that has the problem.
Specs: I have four identical edit bays. Each has a Dual Core 2.5 Ghz Pentium processor, 3.0 gbs of ram, a single sata drive split into two partitions (system 30 gb and video 470 gb). I am running up to date PPro 5.0.2, freshly installed on virgin drives. I have two of the bays with the most up to date 64 bit manufacturer video and audio drivers, and two bays with Windows 7 automatically installed video and audio drivers. The problem is the same in all four bays.

Your problem is that your systems are below minimum requirements, with some serious setup faults.
This is harsh:
1. A single disk is below minimum requirements. You need at least two physical 7200 RPM SATA disks
2. Never partition a disk. It will only increase wear and tear and slow down performance.
3. You likely never tuned your system. Look here: Adobe Forums: Guide for installing and tuning a Vista... This also applies to Win7.
4. Your dual core CPU is absolutely bare minimum for DV material, but anything more will grind to a halt.
5. 3 GB RAM is not enough.
You are in for a serious upgrade of your systems.
First Harm, I do want to say thank you and that I realize you are trying to help. But, budget is a major issue, and the likelyhood of upgrading soon is non-existant. So what can we do to work within the specs I have? I had not done all of the steps in the tune up, but yes most of them I had, specifically I had not installed Ccleaner, and I had not turned off all of the windows add ons as yet - both will be fixed soon. Our editting needs are pretty minimal to be honest, which is part of why its so frustrating that PPro is being so cantankerous. Cut in and out of five or ten clips, add in a voice over track, and once in a great while a cross fade between two clips or fade out audio (using the pen tool), export to mpeg, and we're done. Our longest package is 4 minutes and that's most of a news block (segment between commercials - we have a 30 minutes news show, so you can imagine most are in the 1:30 to 2 minute range).

Someone is sure to comment on that. I wanted to jump in first and say that while the idea of using a single partitioned hard drive isn't a good one, doing so is highly unlikely to be the cause of this particular issue.
Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I knew about someone would say something eventually, but given that it works most of the time, and only freezes up occasionally, like you I find it unlikely that this is the issue. I'm not saying it won't contribute to it (I know it can). The sad part of all this is I can't get it to replicate the space bar freeze up for me, and while I experience it when I go into the bays for the reporters, I have no idea what they have done up until that point in order to troubleshoot what they are doing wrong. I can and have run an install at the same time as editting video and not had a single slow down whatsoever, while several reporters have issues running PPro and notepad. One is running her yahoo mail in IE, and I think that is one of the problems she runs into (given how resource hoggy IE can be - especially on yahoo's webmail interface), but that's one person, not all of them.

Just got my ipad for Xmas. It really is great, but I have a lot to learn. Somehow when exploring the keyboard I have managed to replace the keyboard with various other exclamation marks etc. I can't get the space bar back. Please help a poor beginner.

If you are using the keyboard in a text field where the space bar is not needed, the space bar disappears. When you are typing a web address in the URL field in Safari, for example, there will be no space bar on the keyboard.
Is that the behavior that you are seeing? Tapping the ABC key or the 123? Keys will also change the keyboard to different characters.

HT1343 "Option-Space bar" is missing and I can't get rid of it, unfortunately!

One shortcut seams to be missing in my case.

which I can't find in any settings. I just want to get rid of it. In my case, it opens a kind of Spotlight window where the usual Spotlight Window is, but it's grey instead of blue. I've a fresh installed Mountain Lion roaring.
Any Ideas, appreciated.

That is correct, but got that mutch to do with what I'm talking about. In System Preferences -> Spotlight are two key combinations set
1. "Command-Space bar" and
2. "Command-Option-Space bar"
I'm perfectly happy with these. I simply can't find the place where "Option-Space bar" shortcut is configured. This shortcut seams to be global and calls a similiar "search field" as "Command-Space bar" does, besides it's grey instead of blue. As all global shortcuts are, this one should be configured in System Preferences -> Keyboard (Keyboard Shortcuts), but it ISN'T. Is there any other place where shortcuts can be configured, or ist there a software which collects ALL Keyboard Shortcuts used, global and application specific ones?

U350 - Any Keyboard flex (space bar)?

My U350's space bar feels particularly flimsy compared to the other keys. It appears that my space bar area is 'buckled' upward. I can push down on the space bar (the keys flexes downward for at least 1 mm) and make it go flatter, which gives it a much better feel. THe right half of my space key sticks up visibley higher than the left half.
I am wonder if my keyboard is missing a screw near the space bar. Anyone know how many screws are used to secure the keyboard? I found 2 on the bottom and 3 more underneath the battery. Any more? Or anyone kow how i can remove the keyboard?

I figured it out!
The keyboard for the U350 is held down by 3 screws and 2 tabs. 2 of the screws are on the back casing and one is underneath the battery pack (the screw that's closer to the front of the front of the machine) The tabs are the tiny silver plastic 'stops' located at the left alt key and center right of the space bar at the front edge of the keyboard. To remove the keyboard, take out the two screws, then push in the tabs inward (toward the front of the laptop) very gently, then lift up the front of the keyboard.
My problem was that the tab at the space bar did not catch the bottom frame of the keyboard. I took a very thin edge and lightly bended the tab outward til it catches the keyboard. Now the keyboard types like a dream!

All you are seeing is the word space (from the spacebar).
Menu > View > Hide Invisibles you had Show Invisibles on.
When you are using a template it should be named "Untitled" and it will ask you to save when you go to close or you simply go to Save under the File menu.

i need some help please....my mac acceppts cds and dvds... my drive is located at the right of the screen.....but no icon appears in desktop and finder......also...it does not read....any cd....does not read any dvd either.....it ejects the cds after a while on its own....also it does not burn any cd.....wen i tried....errors with 0x06 ....medium errors,....show up.....also...i tried reinstalling the mac os.....but when i restart the pc...and...keep C key pressed...the cd just gets ejected.....can someone please help me with this problem?????? i contacted APPLE too.. but they said it must be a software problem......also no apple macbookair superdrive does not get connected to the mac either.....PLEASE HELP!!!!

A white space (bar, border, stripe) appears to right of the play window. Some slides only.

It shows up in the preview as well as SWF output, but not in the design mode/window. The space varies in width up to ~.2 in. wide and as tall as slide. It is beyond the play/control bar but on top of the thick border I've added. The previous two projects didn't do this.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Bug is where the Hand move (by holding down Space bar and dragging) stops working. Issue appears to be a conflict with web browsers.
This bug is still present in Photoshop version 12.1 (CS 5). I've just experienced it for the first time. I don't use Firefox, I use Safari and Chrome. Quitting Safari did not fix the problem. Quitting Chrome DID fix the problem.
Developers, please can you fix in next version, and Chris Cox, this IS a bug with Photoshop.

To move the Stop and Reload buttons to their position to the left of the location bar you can use these steps:
* Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize"
* Drag the Reload and Stop buttons to their previous position to the left of the location bar.
* Set the order to "Reload - Stop" to get a combined "Reload/Stop" button.
* Set the order to "Stop - Reload" or separate them otherwise (Space or Separator) to get two distinct buttons.
