"a drawing error occurred"

I have been getting the message "a drawing error occurred" in Acrobat 9 Pro for no reason I can think of. Some pdf files are okay, others are not. I have to use Reader 9 to see the files Pro 9 will not open. Anyone with an idea on how to track the error - could it be a corrupt plug-in? Any clue appreciated as I am clue-less.

a masking file was omitted and now i do not get the error when i download the file from the server.

Here the documents are scanned through captiva and sent to us, here they are converted into pdf through image Export, and when we are trying to open these pdfs we get the Drawing error Occured with only the OK option.
once OK is clicked, few pages will become blank.

A draw error occurred

We are getting this error in our plugin on Acrobat 9. As of yet, my tester has not been able to reproduce it reliably, so I'm afraid I'm short on details. What I can say though is that we do override the page view draw notification. Inside that notification we use the AVPageView{Begin, End}Drawing() methods to cut down on redraws. My suspicion is that the error is related to this? Can anyone offer suggestions as to what else might cause this? I'm not even sure where to begin.
She was seeing this on Acrobat 9. Neither of us have been able to trigger it on Acrobat X. Any suggestions would be more than appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Acrobat 9 Pro "drawing error"

Out of the blue have been getting message "a drawing error occurred" when opening SOME pdf files.
When it first happened thought strange and opened a few other pdf files - some work, and some don't.
Anyone with a clue as to what is happening.

A combination of files, usually ones received via email, however these come regularly (eg invoices / orders and the like) and no problems previously. Even though these won't open, they place and print fine in ID 5.0.4 - I do not know what program produced them all, but some were created in MSword.
I also can not view these same files in the pdf previewer when received via email in Outlook 2007.
Okay, that said, there are other pdf files (both self-made and received via email) that view and open without a problem.
And just to confuse the issue a little further, there are a couple of received pdf files that I keep on my desktop to reference now and then. They were okay once, but they now also cause the "drawing error" message when I try to open in Acrobat 9 Pro.
It is more of an inconvenience, but still very annoying.

Insufficient Data/Drawing Error

I had a pill of a job yesterday. PDF from customer, I imposed in InDesign 4, created PDF for proof out. In making the proof, InDesign kept coming up with "Insufficient data for an image" and "A drawing error occurred". Then the PDF proof would have only half of my imposed 4 up postcard image.
Acrobat told me it had a missing font, the customer said was not in the document at all. The pdf.log file indicated "bad FontBBox (typically a bug in Adobe 4.2 driver)". I don't think anyone was using Acrobat 4. I did try several versions of Acrobat by the way. The customer outlined all fonts the second try and I still got the font error. Could it have been in the marginal words that come in with the crop marks?
I was just wanting to narrow this down to a problem on customer's end or our end. The original PDF was created in InDesign 3. I am using InDesign 4. Believe it or not, I had to dummy it down to Quark 8 to get it to work. Amazing. Quark never works for this kind of stuff. InDesign always comes through for me.

You can try a few things to salvage it. First, try re-copying the original from disk, FTP, email, archive or wherever it came from. Update Acrobat to the latest patch. See if Preview will open it, if so, do a save-as*. Place it into an InDesign file and export to a new PDF, this is a long shot, but what the H.
*no guarantee that nothing has changed.

ExternalException was unhandled : A generic error occurred in GDI+.

I am try to save this bitmap as jpg file for every 5 sec. It works fine at another application, before I move this method to another app. The error message shows ExternalException was unhandled : A generic error occurred in GDI+. I do not know if
it is write permission issure or anything else. Since I use same computer and try to save at same file path, the error message keep going. I think I need help.

undefined code.
Just take a look at from
Graphics.FromImage Method
in MSDN document.
You should always call the Dispose method to release the
Graphics and related resources created by the
FromImage method. Please try and test it again.

SSRS 2012 SP2 - Windows 2008R2 - Microsoft.ReportingServices.ReportProcessing.RenderingObjectModelException: A generic error occurred in GDI+

I have built new SQL 2012 SSRS SP2 with Windows 2008R2 and BAR reports are not showing (just "x" mark in the left corner).

Hi Vel,
According to the error message, the issue is related to GDI+. Based on my research, it is a known issue that the GDI+ need to be updated on Windows Server 2008 R2. If we want to know what version of GDI+, we can do a file search for Gdiplus.dll.
To fix this issue, please install the hotfix for your Windows Server 2008 R2 from the following kb:

The pdf report(s) renders and is saved to the location it is meant to, but devoid of any charts. A data driven subscription controls the rendering.

I was just going to play around by generating some bitmaps programatically.
I started off with this simple example, expecting everything to go smoothly, but have run into a strange error.
The following code is by no means good, just something simple and complete I would expect to work:

This runs fine until the SavePicture(...) function is called.
I get the exception:
"A generic error occurred in GDI+."
at the this.myBitmap.Save(...); line.
Most likely there is some detail that I have overlooked, and I appreciate it if anyone could point out to me what I could do to fix it.
But, I'd like to think that this code would work, it makes sense, and requires little effort, that should be one of the goals of .net
Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated!

Actually, the fix is to properly dispose of your objects in order. This is one advantage of C#, with the using() syntax:

Notice how I dispose (end the using) of the graphics parameter, before I save it? You don't have to use the using() statements, just call Dispose() at the end of the scope I show above.
I ran into this problem today on Azure (works locally in the cloud, just an Azure 1.3 thing!), and I saw the link to the blog post above. That was a good link, as it pointed me in the direction of disposing the graphics earlier.
But, there is no point of increasing hte memory usage of two bitmaps if you dispose of your graphics properly before saving.

A fatal error occurred preventing product use, LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw

When trying to install the full printer software suite, as soon as I click the button to install after the .exe is extracted, I get an alert window with, "A fatal error occurred preventing product use." No error code, just an option to close the dialog. I have read all the related support topics and similar threads and tried all the solutions to no avail. Pasted below is the detailed error log. Somebody suggested clearing the Store cache. I don't know why that would affect the radio. Seems to have not worked for some, worked for a few or maybe they imagined it. Many other posts about this if you browse the forum.
This is happening to some people some of the time in some places, but then not affecting people in other places, or in the same place at different times. You try to guess what is going on. Hasn't happened to me. Maybe it's my iTunes 7.5, or maybe it's luck of the draw since I never use iTunes radio.
Complain to Apple:

ORA-31011: XML parsing failed ORA-19202: Error occurred in XML processing

Hi,
I am trying to update an already existing Sales Order through PO Change Inbound 860. When i am performing changes in the line quantity and scheduled ship date with operation code as "Update" then it is successfully updating the Order and also we are able to generate the POAck for the updated sales order lines. But when i am rejecting one of the PO change lines by checking rejected flag, then order is getting imported successfully(I mean sales order is getting updated successfully) but during the POAck Generation i.e. 865 its raising "*ORA-31011: XML parsing failed ORA-19202: Error occurred in XML processing LPX-00103: Warning: document structure does not match DTD Error at line 1*" at XML Gateway. we are using XML Gateway to process the orders, can somebody help me to get rid of this issue. Because this is an outbound transaction so i can not provide you the XML file as we are facing issue to generate the same. Also we are using oracle seeded PO outbound Ack map.

itunes can't back up the iphone because an error occurred????????? HOW CAN I FIX THIS THANKS

Well I think most people here are having a power issue and NOT a software App problem. I was suffering the same problem and after exhausting every possible conflict tisuue I went and read the specifications on USB ports from V2 to V3 So I suspect it's because slowly Apple has increased the demands on you USB power port and therefore the extra "amp" draw is causing the Apple error message.
If you're using an older Mac or PC with USB 2.0 you are probalby having the your iPhone drop out when ask to back up. So here's the solution upgrade your system with a USB card, or buy an old fashion "Y" splitter that take 2 USB ports and merges them into one. This was used many years back when Hard Drives were USB powered but one port wasn't enough. So they gave you these "Y" cables that did the job.
Now Apple does STINK for not being more forthright with this informaton letting many suffer this problem. I love my iPhone 5 but it'll probably be my last Apple product. I just don't understand why you're asked to pay so much more and little things like this get buried and kept from it's users.
So that's what fixed mine... I hope it helps you all.
