A Facebook game, Kingdoms of Camelot, will not function properly since I upgraded to FireFox 7.

The map portion will not display in the proper manner. The graphics are incorrect. The background color changes. When I click and drag the map the graphics show up like rows of dominoes. Also, several screenshots of the game will be present on the map screen.

Messages will not load images since ML upgrade

Under Lion, the Messages beta was working well for me, but since I upgraded to Mountain Lion there is a major problem. If someone sends me an iMessage with an image, the image (and its associated text, if any) will hang indefinitely, never loading on my Mac. (Text-only messages work fine.) The image and text appear normally on my iPhone and iPad, but on the Mac there's nothing. The File Transfers window shows the image trying to come through, but the progress bar just hangs in the full-length moving stripes animation, never showing any progress, no matter how long I leave it. Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone have an idea of how to fix it?

I've been with the same problem for a couple of days, until finally today Messages simply stopped showing even a the window, so absolute inability to use it.
Considering that reinstalling the operating system is NOT a solution, I searched for something myself.
Pictures are controlled by xpcd, imagent and Messages, and it seems that when the problem arises is because they're using the wrong Apple server.
While this may be solved by Apple in a update (I hope so), in the meantime you can do a workaround (it worked for me on two different machines, and even days old images appeared).
In your Library, there is a folder called Preferences (that is /Users/<your_username>/Library/Preferences). There you should delete com.apple.imagent.plist com.apple.imservice.iMessage.plist and com.apple.imessage.bag.plist, with Messages CLOSED. Then reboot so Messages creates new ones. Also delete all file starting with com.apple.imagent, com.apple.imservice, com.apple.imessage and com.apple.iChat that end in .lock.
If even then it still is not working, deleting all files starting with com.apple.imagent, com.apple.imservice, com.apple.imessage and com.apple.iChat 100% for sure. But when you reboot you'll find you need to input again your login data for iMessage, FaceTime, Yahoo chat, AIM chat, Google Talk and Jabber (if you used them on Messages/iChat).
This is an annoyance, but less than a whole operating system reinstall or losing the functionality.
After all of this is done you should regain the ability to receive photos, send photos and drag&drop photos.

Hotmail will not function properly

As of 19th June 2011 i have been unable to use Hotmail in Firefox. The page loads up and inbox button will work but no other function whatsoever does anything. I have tried running in safe mode, and uninstalling, but nothing changes. I really need to solve this, it has to be something simple. Please help

Since The Security Update, my Adobe CS2 software will not function properly. Is it common with everyone?

I am having issues trying to run my adobe cs2 programs cause it says there is a disk error and will crash when I go to save something. All this occurred after I made my firmware update for the security as of tonight, and earlier in the daytime, it was functioning propperly.

Simmilar problems.Indesign CS3 crashes if I try to place anything or save. Freehand 10 crashes if I try to place, export or save as, though I have managed to save some files. It seems just about anything that accesses the disc crashes these apps now, apart from simply opening the files. Some Freehand files wo'nt even open now, crashing as soon as the app starts up. These are all documents with placed content, again necessitating more disc activity I suppose.
This has all suddenly occured since tonight's security update.
How the **** does the worlds most successful software company manage to screw up so ineptly? A while ago I suddenly lost access to most of my fonts within all my Adobe and Microsoft programs, immediately following one of Apple's security updates. I have never managed to resolve this issue. I was left with only Truetype fonts available in these programs, though the missing fonts remained available in other software, including Apple's own apps such as textedit.
I have an old Mac running old system software. It is a life saver. I don't let the internet and Apple's risky 'updates' anywhere near it. If anybody knows a better solution than using an antique machine running out of date software I'd love to know.

I purchased a new Apple Keyboard and now the controls for the top row (the f1,f2, f3, etc...) will not function properly.

I cannot use expose, itunes controls, or anything. When I hit the controls for itunes, it activates either expose or the dashboard or something else. I can deactivate this in system settings under the keyboard controls, and I can even rebind the keys in there, however there seems to be no way for me to get my audio controls to work. How do I get skip, play/pause, mute, and volume controls to work again? I can't find anywhere I can go to bind the f-whatever keys to those functions again. This is very frustrating as I constantly use these audio controls.

After it prints if you look in the system preferences the option setting for 2-sided printing is no longer selected. You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.

Itunes will not function correctly

Itunes will not function properly. I keep getting errors installing and getting itunes to connect with my iphone.

First of all I hope that you have a good b/u of all your tunes - either on ext HD or on DVD. Don't forget to b/u the iTunes Library and .xml files at the same time.
Have you tried to reinstall iTunes? Drag the app to the trash and remove the iTunesX.pkg from HD>Library>Receipts>iTunesX.pkg. Using a fresh .dmg of iTunes 7.2 reinstall.
Have you repaired permissions with Disk Utility?
Is your Quicktime up to date? At least version v7.1.5.

HCPL0631 is not functioning properly please help!!

I am trying to use the HCPL0631 optocoupler for my simulation. However, this optocoupler will not function properly and will not give me a good result.
I have attached the circuit diagram in the attachment, please let me know what is wrong with my circuit causing the components to fail.

Actually, never mind about that, the model for the HCPL0631 isn't very good. It doesn't actual have a open collector output. It also has a built in VCC of 5V, so the power supply that you are attaching isn't really being used. Your problem is grounding. Multisim constructs mesh current and node voltage equations for simulation and can't do it accurately if you don't specify the ground for your circuit.
Try adding a ground to the GND terminal of the optoisolator. You should also have a ground attached to the cathode of the optoisolator or neutral wire of the function generator. The GROUND component is in the Master Database in the Sources group and in the POWER_SOURCES family.

Why are my firefox icons and tabs not functioning properly?

My firefox is not functioning properly since Monday. I have tried uninstalling and installing firefox but the problem is still there when I open it. Please help.

Unfortunately, the most likely explanation is an incompatibility with your graphics card/chipset driver software. One of the effects of Safe Mode is to disable Firefox from using hardware acceleration. To turn that feature off in normal mode as well:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the "General" mini-tab, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"
This takes effect the next time you exit Firefox and start it up again. Any difference?

I use several avatar forums that have timed features, when I click on them they act as though they have been double clicked or will not display properly.

When visiting Roliana the Your Posts and Bookmark sections are suppose to load a list of my previous posts or bookmarks, this section is designed to have a cool down period between clicks. Even if it is the first time in a 24 hour window that I click on the link it acts as though I have double clicked or attempted to access it too quickly.
On another site NeuroGalaxy the games will not work properly, they too act as though I have attempted to access them even though it is the first time in a 24 hour window.
The last site Kingdom of Knuffle is having an event where one has to click the answer to quiz, it too can only be accessed once a day and when I click on the answer it redirects me as though I have tried to access it multiple times.
I have attempted to use these functions on other browsers and they work fine, the only thread of similarity between the issues is Firefox and that they are all timed applications in some manner.
There are no errors to report or other oddities going on, the sites otherwise display and operate properly.

Shockwave will not update properly

Hi. I have a laptop running Windows 7 Home premium, 64 bit system.I use IE and just installed Firefox, as well. I tried to update Shockwave so I could continue to play my UClick jigsaw puzzle game, and my computer says it installed successfully, but it will not work with my jigsaw puzzle. I have uninstalled it and tried to reinstall it, but no change in response. When I try to open jigsaw puzzle, the Adobe Shockwave loading graphic appears, but nothing happens.
Help!

I understand the two sites are using different plugins/players. I'm not an idiot. However as Shockwave for Director is so old it's listed by Firefox as an unknown plugin and described as being a Netscape plugin ("Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 12.1.5.155"), I am merely suggesting that UClick might change to a more recent, robust plugin.
