A Few Pre-ordering Questions from a Newbie.........

I have never pre-ordered a phone before so here's a few questions I have and maybe you have too.....
1. I am not the primary account holder on my Verizon plan, will this be a problem when pre-ordering?
2. Can I pre-order from the Verizon site or Apple site at 12:01PST/3:01EST?
3. Is one site better than the other to pre-order from?
4. Is there an option for pre-ordering a phone to pick up at the store?
I think that's all I have for now.
Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks

you must be the primary or an account mnager to pre-order

last time only apple allowed this for pickup at apple stores

IMac 21.5" performance on COD4 and few other general questions from a newbi

I'm a current and long time PC owner who is sick of messing with registry problems, performance issues and viruses.
I am strongly considering the purchase of a 21.5" iMac, but have some reservations as to whether I may have performance issues playing Call of Duty 4 using Parallels or Boot Camp. Will the 21.5" machine with the upgraded 256K video card handle this and other games OK? Other than that, I am a light user who mainly surfs the web, sends email and tracks finances with quicken. Games and some video are about the heaviest applications I use.
Currently on a 3 year old Pentium Duo Dell with 2GB ram, 512mb Nvidia video card.

I'm just extremely concerned that the 21.5" iMac won't have enough juice for multi-tasking such as playing COD4 while surfing the net. Even my hopped up gaming PC (older dual core with 512K video card) struggles at times. I'm wanting to make the jump to Mac, just afraid of spending almost $1500+ and winding up with worse performance than I already have.
Unfortunately, the nearest Mac retailer is over an hour away from me so there isn't a real chance to put one through it's paces in person.

Droid Razr Maxx HD pre-purchase question from a newbie

I'm planning to get a Droid Razr Maxx HD soon; it'll be my first Droid phone. My question:
Is it possible to back up and/or synchronize the phone directly to a Windows PC? By directly, I mean via USB cable connection?
I know it's possible to back up and synchronize through Google, or Verizon's Backup Assistant... but I'd rather not use either of these if possible.
Next question: is the Droid Razr Maxx HD's native contact database compatible with any of the standard PC database programs (e.g. MS Access, etc)?

I'm sorry the device is not designed for backup and sync with windows. If you are comfortable with windows, have you reviewed our windows compatible devices?

Pre-order question for iPhone5/Verizon

I have a quick question...
My wife and son currently have the iPhone4 with AT&T and they are now out of contract. I'm currently on Verizon. I want to change their carrier and pre-order the iPhone5 for both of them from Verizon. I want to add those lines to my existing Verizon account and transfer their numbers as well. Would I be able to do this through this through the Apple Store's web-pre-order system? (or possibly Verizon's?) or will I have to speak with someone about doing this?

Pre-Order Question - Audio

Since it might be soon I can pre-order for Canada I have a question some of you current owners might be able to answer. I want to use my iPad to take in our RV with us, to watch Movies and Tv Shows from our iTunes while we are on the road. I am assuming that with each synch it will keep track of what episodes have been watched, like my Apple TV's do? But more important is the audio for TV shows or Movies. While running on battery and with nothing to plug an iPad in to, how is the audio quality on the speaker for two people to watch a TV show with? Would it be possible to plug two sets of headphones into it? Is there a headphone jack? Any answers are appreciated - thanks in advance!

As you'd expect from a very thin device with very small speakers, the sound is not going to be great. It's adequate in my limited experience, but whether it would be loud enough in an RV for two people I'm not sure yet.

There is a headphone jack, and it might be possible to use two sets of headphone with an appropriate splitter (check places like Radio Shack). Perhaps, though, you could use a set of battery-powered speakers. That might be more satisfactory.

Destiny Pre Order Question

I pre ordered Destiny and I was with my dad at the time b/c I'm 16 years old. We used my dad's Best Buy reward zone account. So do I need to be with my dad to pick up the game, or do I need to be with someone 18+ or my dad specifically?

It depends on a few different factors. First, if the pre-order is in your father's name, then he is the only person who will be able to pick it up -- we aren't able to release pre-orders to anyone other than the purchaser. Second, if the pre-order is in your name, then the following would apply:
If the ESRB determines the game is rated M (Mature 17+) and you're under the age of 17, then a parent or guardian must be present to authorize the sale.
If the ESRB determines the game is rated T (Teen), then you should be able to pick the game up yourself.
Last, but not least, remember that payment will be due at the time of pickup if you did not pay for the game in full when you placed your pre-order.
It's a lot to remember, but I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions!

PES 16 Digital Pre Order Question

Not sure if anyone knows but I will ask anyhow. I want to get the PlayStation Exclusive 20th Anniversary Edition but I am not paying £70 for it from Amazon. I have noticed with the 20th Anniversary Edition you get Neymar for myClub for keeps. Unlike the Day One Edition which costs £40. In the day one edition you only get him for 10 matches. PES is a game I will play all year round so I may as well buy it digitally as I know I will get my money's worth. However I noticed on the store page https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-gb/games/pes-2016-pro-evolution-soccer-digital-pre-order/cid=EP0101-CUSA02640_00-PREORDERBUNDLE01 it says you get Neymar but no mention of it being a loan player. So does anyone know if this is a lone player or a permanent one?

Good question! Currently only the physical console versions of Destiny are available for pre-order on BestBuy.com and in our U.S. retail stores. If a digital or PC version is announced at later date, then we'll update the game's main page to reflect this. Bungie may also make the game available through the PlayStation Store or Xbox Live Marketplace closer to the release date, but these versions obviously wouldn't benefit from any pre-order bonuses we offer.

Also when it says Register for 8 year warranty it says serial number. How do I know my serial number if I have not received the product yet? Also when is this thing being released? It seems to me you pre order and then you register it with the serial number after you receive the product to get the 8 year warranty.
Products have to be registered within 30 days from original date of pre-order purchase to receive our limited 8 years warranty. (Products failed to register within 30 days will still receive standard 3 years warranty).
A little extra research by you would have come up with this same little tidbit of information.

HT5714 Can I download a pre-ordered album from my iPhone?

I pre-ordered an album and now it is available, but I can't access it from my iPhone. I don't want to download it onto my computer. Can anyone help?

The album already came out on the 31st of August, so I'm not sure what is going on.
I used to have a computer but it got stolen recently, leaving me unable to sync my ipod with another computer for fear of losing all my music.
I tried going directly to the iTunes store and downloading it from there, but when I click purchase it says it'll charge me another $13 to buy an album that I supposedly already bought.

I'm going to pre-order my iphone4 on the 15th, but how will the order process work with working out a monthly contract with 02/orange/vodafone.
I'm confused because if you look at the current store/iphone3gs you can only buy the handset and no contact involvement.
Does this mean that I will have to order through the 02 store itself and forget about apple.com
I will be a new 02 or orange customer and will require a new micro-sim plus my currrent number moved over from old network.

Pre-Order Question

So I pre-ordered Titanfall for Xbox1, but I won't be in town when it comes out and one of my friends really wants to pick it up on the 11th at the midnight release. Is there any way to change the name on the pre-order, or would I have to cancel the one I have and create a new pre-order?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but we don't currently offer a way to update the name associated with pre-orders. To have a friend pick up the game for you, you would need to cancel your existing pre-order and place a new one in their name. Also, remember that pre-orders must be picked up within 5 days of the title's release! If you aren't able to pick up your copy of Titanfall within that timeframe, then it will be returned to store inventory and made available for purchase to other customers.

IPhone pre-order question.

I pre-ordered my iPhone 4 to be picked up at the Apple Store in my area. I chose the 32G like I did last year, but I've never used more than 12G at one time, so I think it's a waist to get the 32G, so I'm wanting to know when I pick up my iPhone 4 32G, can they change it to the 16G? I've tried calling the Apple Store and Apple's main line and apparently they don't staff enough people to take calls when it gets busy. Apple's main line won't even let you wait to speak to a representative. If anyone knows the answer to my question, please respond.

Most likely they will not be able to answer your question now. I would think they will be willing to give you the 16 GB instead of the 32 GB you pre-ordered, but it's going to depend on the available stock in whatever store you're picking up at, at the time you get there. If they've sold out of the 16 GB model, then can't change your order.

IPhone 4 Pre Order Question PLEASE HELP !

I am sure there was 100 posts about this but I cant find the answer thats set in stone, even AT&T couldnt help me. I signed up with AT&T in April got an iPhone 3Gs. Obviously, I am not eligible for an upgrade. Now my first question is the text message said we can offer you a discounted iPhone upgrade at a higher price with a 2 yr commitment and a $18 upgrade fee. What is THAT price?! Also, due to some credit issues, I had to leave a $300 deposit with AT&T to start my contract with them, am I going to have to leave another $300 deposit ?! I want to pre order the phone on the 15th, so someone PLEASE help

The USUAL "higher price" discounted phones are $399 for the 16GB and $499 for the 32GB ($299 for the 8GB 3GS).
Only AT&T can tell you for certain whether another deposit is needed or whether the prices I quoted apply to you.
