A few questions for people with the new ipod

1. does it scratch easily?
2. is there any other way to put video on it (instead of quicktime)?
3. which is better the white or the black?
4. can you take video off it. (use it as an external hard drive for video. or is it like music where you need to download a program to remove the video? if so what program?)

1. yes so they say (had for a week now and no problems yet. I have the white one.)
2. use hand brake or pspware.
handbrake for video_ts files and pspware for all other files.
3. white see less scratches (think of a car)
4.once you go through itunes you have to use a 3rd party program, have not tried any with the video part yet.

You will also need a USB card reader if you do not have one.

Will i have to do it all over again with the new ipod?

my ipod is super beat up and it's time for a new one, so i deleted all my itunes programs off of my computer and i've reinstalled them.
while i'm saving up money for a new ipod i wanted to go ahead and reimport all my songs into a library, once i do this am i able to just plug the new ipod into my computer and all of these songs will update and i'll be all set?

Once you have reinstated the tracks to your library, you'll able to sync your new iPod to it automatically and update it with the contents of your iTunes.

What I would really like to see in the next gen Touch is 3G or 4G wireless.
Refillable usage, just like the iPad. Don't want the "contract" requirements
of iPhone. Even if you do by an unlocked iPhone, you can only get
2 year contract service for data, oh yeah and have to get voice as well.
I just want wireless data access in my pocket, and the Touch with 3G/4G
would fit that bill nicely!

hi there, i bought the new ipod but am very disappointed that i cant use the iTrip with it. i had a gbp 1000 sound system fitted in the car for my ipod as i travel a lot and therefore used to connect it to the incar charger and with itrip listen to the tunes on the great music system in the car but now all that is wasted.any suggestions. many thanks

I have bough an ipod 4g 32g since to days and the headphones come with out the volume control and the microphone, but I read in some websites that the new ipod 4g comes with headphones that have volume control and the microphone. So, I terend back to apple store and they exchange my ipod because the selar said that the new ipod 4g comes with headphones that have volume control and the microphone, but when I opened my new one, I found that I have the headphones with out the volume control and the microphone. So, what is the problem? Who should I believe? I'm very sad.

How do I search for playlists with the new Youtube App?

I just got home to find the new Youtube app on my Apple TV. It seems great, but searches no longer find playlists, only individual videos. As most of my Youtube viewing on Apple TV is Let's Play playlists, without the ability to search for playlists, the app is nearly useless for me.
Am I just overlooking something or did they really remove the ability to search for playlists?

Open the Camera app. Swipe the screen up or down to change the mode.

Bose headsets appear incompatible with the new iPod touch

My old iPod lasted for about 28 months then lost its ability to maintain battery life, otherwise it worked perfectly traveling around the world a few times. Also the Bose headsets worked perfectly. last week I got a replacement iPod and i was really looking forward to using it. I plugged my Bose headsets in and it was terrible the sound went from loud to soft continually. I then took the device back to Apple today and upgraded to a new 32 GB iPod... downloaded all my music and had the exact same problem with my Bose headsets again. The Apple headset worked perfectly, but I prefer the fit and sound of the Bose headsets, but they don't work, there is the continual loud and soft sound. When moving the IPod or lifting it up the sound cuts out or plays loud and soft.
I guess new is not always better.

The Apple headsets work perfectly. My Bose headsets work perfectly when I plug them into my computer but not with the iPod.
