A file I/O error has occurred

I am trying to pull results from a query onto a pdf.  I have created my fdf file and then on my action.cfm file have the include tag to call the fdf file.  When I run through the test of it I get an Acrobat popup error "A file I/O error has occurred.  This is my first time trying this so I am not sure what is causing this messge.  Can anyone help point me in the right direction?  Below is my code.  Any input would be greatly appreciate.
The first page is the basic form.

  • Error Message: "There was an error processing a page.  A file I/O error has occurred"

    Hi
I am running Windows XP on a lab top for a while. Just recently, every time I opened PDF files, I was getting an empty page. So, I installed the latest Adobe Reader. After that I started getting the error message "There was an error processing a page. A file I/O error has occurred".
Does anybody have a solution to this?
    Thanks in advance.

I found my problem. My down scale quits, but quits as in not showing it's working. (I was confused too).  Most all files can not be seen until fully downloaded. For whatever reason, perhaps a glitch or the new modum or video card.  When downloading do not interupt as in wanting to view a page, but go to Network and Sharing Center (bottom right hand corner - click the computer running symbol) and click View Status. See Activity. If the numbers are rolling you are recieving. Waiting until it is complete.  This is madding, but I've learned to live with it.

  • The document could not be saved. A file I/O error has occurred

    Hello,
I have scanned PDF files varying in size from < 1,000 pages to > 5,000 pages. I seem to experience this issue on and off on various files regardless of the size. The issue is when I OCR the pdf using Adobe Acrobat X Pro, when it's completed the OCR process and I go to save it errors out with: "The document could not be saved. A file I/O error has occurred"
    I have tried:
    1. Saving to local hard drive
    2. Saving to network drive
    3. Renaming file and repeating steps 1&2
    4. File/Save as and reducing (but it won't allow me to do so without saving first, lol)
    Any thoughts? Thanks so much.

  • Illustrator files cannot be opened: Could not read the file because an error has occurred.

I cannot open some files from  Illustrator which contain PNG files placed. When I try to open the file, I get a message saying: "this png contains addtional data for Adobe fireworks, which will be discarded upon save." When I press "ok" I get the same screen again. When I press "cancel" I get: "coulld not read the file because an error has occured". I am currently working on a Mac Mavericks. Using Illustrator cc and Fireworks CS6.

    Eliana,
If you have some file corruption, one thing often tried first is to create a new document and File>Place the (PDF contents, if any of the) corrupted one to see how much may be rescued that way.
Here are some websites where you can see whether it can rescue the actual file, and if it can, you may pay for a subscription to have it done,
    http://www.recoverytoolbox.com/buy_illustrator.html
    http://markzware.com/adobe-software/fix-illustrator-file-unknown-error-occurred-pdf2dtp-fi le-recovery/
    http://www.illustrator.fixtoolbox.com/
As far as I remember, the first one is for Win and the second one is for Mac, while the third one should be for both.

  • Please Help!!  "A File I/O Error Has Occurred" every time I try to save...

I'm working on a postcard design for print purposes with several embedded images and text elements. I've saved successfully several times early on, but suddenly, every time I attempt to save, I get the message "A File I/O Error Has Occurred". I need to get this to the printer, but can't make important changes now. HELP!
    Thanks,
    paul

Crazy! Wasn't saving to a server, but to a 2-gig jump drive. When I saved it to my mac's hard drive, no problem. Is there a short answer to why that happens? I didn't appear to be out of space on the external drive...
    Thanks Scott!

  • Use adt to package an air installer success, but install this air file "sorry , an error has occured

hi everyone, i am using a bat file to package an air file ,
this application runs on windows 7 32 bit,
it need to call another windows application , so i google and then find i need to add -target native when package , so i added.
the bat file is like below:
    ========================================

echo Signing AIR setup using certificate %CERTIFICATE%.
    call adt -package      %SIGNING_OPTIONS%  -target native  %AIR_FILE% %APP_XML% %FILE_OR_DIR%
    if errorlevel 1 goto failed
    echo.
    echo AIR setup created: %AIR_FILE%
    echo.
    goto end
    :certificate
    echo Certificate not found: %CERTIFICATE%
    echo.
    echo Troubleshotting:
echo A certificate is required, generate one using 'CreateCertificate.bat'
    echo.
    goto end
    :failed
    echo AIR setup creation FAILED.
    echo.
    echo Troubleshotting:
echo did you configure the Flex SDK path in this Batch file?
    echo.
    :end
    pause
    ======================================================
after run this bat , the air file is successfully built , but when i want to install this air , it says "sorry ,an error has occured .....  bla bla installer file is damaged....bla bla "
but when i remove the red part -target native  in the command above then run it again , the new packaged air file can install successfully, but the application can not call other windows apllication anymore, nativeprocess.issupported always returns false when running
so seems like the problem is all about -target native , deos anyone know whats wrong ?
this problem really bothers me long time , any help will be appreciated. thanks in advance!

Nice! I swear I tried that URL (substituting "mac" for "win" and "MAC" for "WIN" in the one relaxatraja posted), but I guess I missed something.
Ironically, it doesn't include a binary either, but a simple alias works:
    alias pfi='java -jar /path/to/PFI/lib/pfi.jar'
And it did indeed produce an ipa without error. I don't have my hardware with me, but I'll be able to test it tonight. Meanwhile, I think I'm in business. Thank you all!

  • A file I/O error has occurred. (Possibly Image Related)

I am trying to save an old project with a new name, and I'm getting this error. It goes through the save process and when it's about done, this pops up. I am using CS2. Ok, now I created a new file and saved it. It saved ok, but then I went to save it again and got the same message. Also, I uninstalled the software and reinstalled it with no luck. HELP!
Update: Ok, so I took the registry and renamed it and created a new one. Now, it seems the problem occurs when I have some images in the file, but not all. If I take the image out, it saves ok, but if it's in there, I get the error. I have used this program on the computer for three years and never had a problem. Also, there have been some weird saved made along the way. The files are saved as part of the file name, but with a ~ in the remainder of it.
    Any ideas? Bueller? Bueller?

    1. Well, I guess we can rule out a corrupt AI file or image.
    2. Far be it for me to try and change a 3-year habit, but the recommended procedure is to use File | Place. You will be presented with the option of linking or embedding at the time you place, but you can always change that status later via the Links palette. I don't know whether this has any bearing on your file I/O error problem, but it's something to try and keep in mind.
    3. This is the most likely culprit. Although Adobe's official position is that you should be able to work off network drives (in conjunction with Version Cue), they have also admitted, at times in the past, that it is
preferable to always open from and save to a local drive, copying your files from and to the network drive before and after you do your work. Yes, this is a pain in the butt, and, yes, it might not be the solution to your problem... but there it is.
Since you've already nuked your prefs, there is little else I can think of at the moment. Oh, yes... 3+ years makes you an early adopter of AI 12. So, make sure you've updated to 12.0.1.
Finally, it never hurts to perform standard Windows maintenance -- run chkdsk and defrag; clear out temp folders -- and make sure you have sufficient free contiguous disk space on your scratch space drives.

  • Reader XI: There was an error processing a page. A file I/O error has occurred.

I have a user who has been experiencing this error sporadically when trying to open PDFs. Since the problem is not occurring for EVERY PDF, it becomes more difficult to figure out the cause. I had the user email me the PDF as an attachment, and I had the same error when I tried to open it. However, if instead of opening the PDF, I Saved As to my desktop, and opened it from there, it opened w/ no issues. I wonder if maybe it's some kind of corruption in the original file.

I found my problem. My down scale quits, but quits as in not showing it's working. (I was confused too).  Most all files can not be seen until fully downloaded. I get this error every now and then when I am working on a PDF and then go to save it. It is on a Windows 7 PC. It will not even let me try to save it as a different file name either.

    Hi gohan201,
Let us know if this addresses the issue:
In Acrobat, choose to Edit > Preferences.
Go to the Page Display panel.
    Uncheck Use 2D Graphics acceleration.
    Click OK.

Hello, we are getting this error message when opening most of our financial statements, etc...

  • Photoshop CC 2014 - The file can not be saved in path because an error has occurred

    Hello,
I need again help regarding this issue. Sometimes but very often I receive an error, trying to save a PSD file, the error is: "The file can not be saved in <path> because an error has occurred". After that it is not possible to save the file in any format, using save or save in dialog. The only way to rescue the result is, to save for web as an jpeg. This error occours often using Topaz or NIK filter and until now only in PS-CC 2014. My workflow looks like this:
    - Open NEF RAW file in Brdige
    - Settings in ACR and give it into PS by clicking OK in ACR
    - In PS doing a adjust some levels
    - press SHIFT+STRG+ALT+E for a new summary layer
    - Uing Topaz Adjust on the new level with 65% opacity
    - press SHIFT+STRG+ALT+E for a new summary layer
    - Using Topaz DeNoise on the new layer
    - pres STRG+i and resize the image to 1200x797
    - Using Topaz InFocus on the same layer as DeNoise
    - create a vignette with brightness adjustlayer
After this workflow in nearly 90% it is not possible to save the file as PSD or something else, only to save for web as JPG. If I save the file after opening the RAW in PS and after every layer with Topaz Filter, I can save the file when I am done. Same issue occurs using NIK Filters in that way.
I tried to optimize the performance by using this guide: http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/optimize-performance-photoshop-cs4-cs5.html doesn’t solve the issue.
I re- and installed all Adobe Products more than three times, doesn't solve the issu.
After that I ordered a new SSD drive and insall Windows 7 64bit inkl. All latest hotfixes, patches and drivers. I downloaded the newest Adobe Versions and the newest filter sets from Topaz and NIK. Doesn’t solve the issue.
    This is my rig:
    Gigabyte Z87X-UD4H mainboard
    Intel Core i7 4770k
    32GB Corsair RAM
250GB Samsung 840 Evo SSD Drive
    nVidia Geforce GTX770
During my tests I took the same RAW File and created nearly 20 adjustment layers and summary layers, without using Topaz or NIK filters. No problem, I was able to save the file as PSD file.
From my point of view, actually, the error occurs only when I am using Topaz or NIK filters. Both supports doesn’t know the issue and if I search the web, I can’t find more then me. It seemed to depend on my settings, my rig or something else, perhaps a cache is overflowed or something like this. Adobe telephone support can’t help because I said I use a third party filter. But it occurs with two different manufactures…
So please guys, help me to figure out why this error occurs in my system.
Thanks in Advance and best regards,
      Michael

Update: I tried several times to reproduce the error, actually it dosen't occur. I changed nothing on my system, without reboot it twice. This is what I said in my beginning times: it occurs sometimes but often. I will keep you up to date.

  • I can no longer attach files to my outgoing Hotmail emails.  I only receive a message that an  error has occurred. Help appreciated.

I can no longer attach files to my outgoing Hotmail emails.  I only receive a message where I would expect the Upload to appear that an  error has occurred.
I am using a MacBook Pro with Retina, 2 Ghz Intel Core i7, OS X 10.9.4
I have no difficulty attaching files to the outgoing Hotmails on the same account using my iPhone.
    Help appreciated.

Thanks for this - not an immediate solution I fear but will keep unplugging stuff and restarting stuff.
To try and be clearer about the problem - I have in the last managed to send attachments successfully.  Now  I can send and receive plain email messages but get the error message when I try to attach an existing file to an email - not just a particular file but it would appear all files are being treated in the same way.
An experiment to send a mail to which an attachment has failed to upload got the following message alongside the SEND button
Files with errors will be removed from the email and not sent.
    - but the mail alone was sent and received successfully.  Thanks for any pointers you can give me.
