A friend took my ipod and put her own music on it..now I can't get it off!
So she took my ipod and put some of her own music on it on _her computer_, and when I plugged my iPod into _my own computer_, the music that she put on my iPod won't show up in my playlist. I tried syncing my iPod but that didn't work. What do I need to do to get that music off my iPod?

For now, you could just restore the iPod in iTunes, and resync just your own music back onto it. You can find instructions on how to restore your iPod [HERE|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1339].

Have your friend put them back on. That's how the songs got on there in the first place. -
I have two excel files I cannot open or delete from my desktop. One is titled 6ACAD200 and the other file is titled 8D73A700. How can I get these off of my computer?
From the names I'd guess they are temporary files. If excel is running, quit and try again. If they still won't move or delete reboot. If they still won't move or delete...kill a chicken at midnight under an oak tree?

Settings > iCloud > iCloud photo settings, then turn off photostream and photo sharing. -
My daughters imessage & face time on her ipod touch has suddenly stopped working. The only way i could get it going again was to reset it up with my email address. This will not allow her to send messages to any of her contacts in her addess book. I have tried to set up her email (which she previously used successfully) but it will not allow this it states 'unable to verify email because it is already in use' - anyone any ideas its is driving me mad !!

I put the ARDAgent in the trash, now i can't get rid of it.
To solve another problem, I put the ARDAgent in the trash. Now I can't move it out of the trash, or delete the trash with ARDAgent in it.
If I try to move ARDAgent out of the trash nothing happens. If I try to copy it out of the trash it just says "preparing to copy" forever. If I try to empty the trash it just says "preparing to empty trash" forever. If I try to put it back from where it came from in the CoreServices folder, it says that I need to authenticate and after I hit the authenticate button nothing happens.
Any suggestions?I've rebooted, repaired/verified disks and permissions with the SL install DVD and Disk Warrior. Have to force restart Finder to shut the computer down if I try to copy the ARDAgent or empty the trash with it in it, because the status window perpetually says "preparing to empty trash or copy files" and won't let me shutdown without a force restart of Finder.

I put music on my ipad by mistake by downloading all purchased songs via wifi and now I cannot get them off. is there a way to get rid of them?

I have many songs in my itunes library that were purchased by me that did not convert to my new email address when I moved. How can I get them to play?
You have to use the same old Apple ID and password.

OK i will explain my whol situation.
My computers hard drive broke, so i had to get a new one.
My itunes from the hard drive is gone now.
MY ipod was disable to the point where you must plug it into the same itunes on the same computer it was last synced on.
i had to restore my ipod.
i re downloaded itunes.
i got into my account.
i re downloaded all songs, apps, books, tv shows, and pod casts.
IT WON"T SHOW ME MY MOVIES.
i looked in my purchase history so i know i bought it.
i went back to "Previous Purchases"
it still doesn't give me a category for movies.
i really need to get that movie back because it was 9.99 and i refuse to let my money go to waste!
Please Help!Films can currently only be downloaded once from the store, which I think is a requirement from the film distributors, so they won't show in the Purchased section for re-downloading. Have you not got a backup of it on, for example, an external drive or CD/DVD ?

When an iDevice gets wet the First thing to do is Turn it Off... leaving it on is not good.
If you cannot Turn it off... go to your nearest Apple Store. -

You can't sync or drag your music back directly from an iPod to iTunes, the transfer of music is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
There's a command in iTunes 7 under File, "Transfer Purchases from iPod" you can check out. A paragraph on it has also been added to this article: How to use your iPod to move your music to a new computer
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward. As iTunes 7 is just out some of these may not work with it yet though I haven't experienced any problems with the Mac software I use.

If your iPod is set to update automatically take care when connecting back to your computer and an empty iTunes. If it is set to automatically update you will get a message that your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press *No* (or "Cancel" if you are using iTunes 7). Pressing "Yes" (or Erase and Sync in iTunes 7) will irretrievably remove all songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. In iTunes 7 Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Don't uncheck Sync Music it will be unchecked by default when you choose the manual setting: Managing Your Songs Manually
You can also use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows hold down the Shift + Ctrl keys (on a Mac hold down the Option and Command (⌥ and ⌘) keys). This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer. Then check the "Manually manage songs" box.
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync again. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up in case you have problems again. External drives are comparatively inexpensive these days and you can get loads of storage for quite a small outlay. -
