A History of Problems

Hello, I've been an 8130 Pearl user on the Telus network up here in Canada since Christmas of 2007.
I am currently on my 4th Pearl and although I keep having difficulties, I do love my blackberry.
1st bb: blinking hourglass of doom.
2nd bb: the "op" key wouldn't respond when pressed
3rd bb: MSN Live Messenger would not log in... "Server Busy. Try again later"
For my current Pearl, I can now log into MSN Live Messenger but I cannot send or receive messages.
I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app.  I've tried battery pulls, I've upgraded my desktop WLM.  All no luck.  I'm at a loss.
Also, on my first two Pearl's I was able to use the GPS function.  Now I am constantly getting the "GPS unavailable" with any GPS app I try (bb maps, Google maps, poynts, even the geotagging option on my camera)
So, can anyone help?  So far, I've tried removing and reinstalling my GPS apps, I've done battery pulls and memory cleaning, etc. etc.
I've called TELUS DNA team and they are now telling me that Telus does not support any third party applications or device features whatsoever (which is interesting because they used to, as of my third Pearl)

I have never had a failed email.  Every once in a blue moon I get a failed SMS message but that's usually because the recipient is with another carrier.
All of my emails function properly though.

  • History sidebar problem.

    The history sidebar no longer shows my history when I select View By Last Visited, though it does show normally in the library or under different View settings (actually, it is also blank for By Most Visited and By Site). Any ideas as to what the problem may be? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  • Art History Brush problem

    After following numerious tutorials and looking at Adobe help, I cannot get the AHB to work in CS3. Get an error message saying there is a programe error. The ordinary History Brush will work for me just fine, but thats not what I want.
    1) Snapshot for history state
    2) new layer to paint on (either empty or filled with plain background)
    3) AHB sellected and paraminters set for brush
    What am I doing wrong - any suggestions PLEASE

    Have now answered my own problem. Art History brush is only available to 8bit images unlike the History Brush which will work with 8 & 16bit. Could find no info regarding this in Adobe help, or anywhere else!
    Found out by using CS4 when the same error message told me what the problem was! . . . . . . . . so easy when you know how.

  • SC history update problem:PO from PR not getting displayed in SC history

    We are on EBP 3.5,Classic scenario.
    PR's get created in R/3 backend and then are manually converted into PO.This entire cycle is shown in EBP SC history tab.However for some of the SC's we are seeing status only up to PR stage(PO no. is not getting displayed either in BBP_PD or check status txn).When we try manual status updation thru BBP_GET_STATUS_2,it throws an error saying,"these references neither GUID nor destination,thus could not be assigned to any system not even local system".
    Has anyone faced such an issue.Pl reply

  • GR quantity zero in Subcontract PO history (SPU problem suspected)

    we are able to successfully generate a Good Receipt for the PO using transaction MB01.
    the quantity is not subtracting in PO after the GR creation.

    In subcontracting PO ####s (Item category L) history tab, we can see that the some GR quantity is 0. While looking into the corresponding material document, the stock of finished goods increases and that of the components decreases as expected.
    I further looked into the accounting documents.
    For the GR posted on 05.02.2007, it is posted to GR/IR account correctly.
    But for the GR posted on 28.02.2007, the 520 account is missing in the accounting document.
    If possible I will explain in detail.

  • Please help! I need help with history brush problem

    I'm completely new to photoshop but I have done this thing before:
    open image
    >ctrl J
    >>select new layer
    >>>select Curves
    >>>>adjust accordingly

    this paints in that curve layer i guess...kind of like I'm putting a hole in my orginial to see the change that I made in the curves layer but only on the places I want
    So for some reason this isn't working anymore! And i have no idea why! Now this error pops up: Could not use the history brush because the history state does not contain a corresponding layer.
    Im using CS4 extended
    What am I doing wrong?

    As stated, set your History Brush source.
    Also always be careful to note which layer is active after you do an undo operation.

  • SPOD won't go away ... long history of problems

    I have a first generation 17" macbook pro and lately the spinning pizza of death (spod or spinning color wheel as others call it) just won't stop. Over the past 6 months, a 1 gig ram chip died and I've been through 2 hard drives. My 80 gig original drive died so I put a 7200 rpm 320 gig drive in which died eventually with lots of disk0s2 drive errors in the system.log. I took it to apple who said that it was a bad drive. I got another new drive and continued to have problems. Apple told me that it might be os corruption and that I should do an archive install. I did that and now SPOD is back with a vengeance.
    I've seen strange issues restoring from sleep where the screen will be greyed out, and horizontally skewed with the message saying an error occurred and it has to be rebooted.
    I'm now running a disk scan and it's running very slowly and with 10% I've got 7 bad blocks. A scan about a month ago showed 0 bad blocks. It feels like there is something hardware related going on here. Is it perhaps the logic board once again?

    2.16 ghz. 262 gigs free This is a brand new fresh install about a month old. This time around I didn't do an archive and install to see if that would work.
    Feels like there is something bad wrong with my hardware if it keeps trashing drives.

  • I have a mid 2014 13' retina display MacBook Pro that went into kernel panic twice, the trackpad froze, and after the second kernel panic it will not turn on. This is a two month old laptop with no history of problems. Any ideas?

    I purchased it in December and three days ago it kernel panicked twice. After the second event, it will not boot at all. The charge cord is green when it's plugged in and seems to indicate the battery is fine. When it went into kernel panic, the trackpad locked up. I had a technician open it up to see if there were any obvious issues and everything looked ok visually. I can't boot it into safe mode or anything involving powering the machine on, as it is not responding to anything. I have a major test coming up in five days that I am taking on this laptop and am desperate for answers. Any information you can offer at all would be helpful.

  • Purchase order Price History Print Problem

    When i am executing the tcode ME1P then it is showing suppose seven records and as soon as i click on print icon ,one spool request is getting generate.
    When i am seeing that spool request it is showing seven pages ie each page with single record.
    My question is that i want all records should come on single page.
    It should not take single page for single record.
    How to do that i am not getting.
    Would you all please help me out to solve this issue.

  • Browsing history not displaying correctly (3.6.4)

    I've been having a problem with my history display for the past several days (since about the time I was automatically updated to 3.6.4).
    When I press Cntrl-H to view my history, only the past two days are shown when viewing "by date and time" and "by date". The older history is still there, because I can see sites I visited longer than two days ago when I view my history "by site".
    My about:config settings for history are:
    browser.history_expire_days - 45
    browser.history_expire_days_mirror - 45
    browser.history_expire_days_min - 30
    browser.history_expire_sites - 10000
    I have the same problem when using Firefox in safe mode.
    I tried deleting places.sqlite and places.sqlite-journal, and letting my bookmarks be replaced from the json bookmark backup. Once I have more than two days of history the problem occurs again.
    I also tried deleting localstore.rdf, and it has no effect.
    I'm using the default theme.
    The only extensions I'm using are:
    Adblock Plus 1.2
    Bookmark Backup 0.4.10
    CheckPlaces 2.2.1
    New Tab Homepage 0.4.2
    I would appreciate any help I can get in tracking down the cause of this. Thanks.

    You can try "Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults" on the [[Safe mode]] start window - See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Resetting_preferences
    Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems

    There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins"
    If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

  • LSD problem in Lenovo B450

    So, im wrote all history about problems with this problem....
    When i, take this laptop, him have problem with KBC controller, Battery not charging and Keyboard not work...
    im open case and view mainboard, damage component's will be not found...
    LSD panel will disconect and connect LCD Monitor to RGB cable, Image will good, im load Bios Flash in official site, and flush bios.. KBC run work.. Battary will charge and keyboard now work... (LCD panel will disconnect)
    When im connect LCD panel image in LCD panel have colored spectors,  all the colors flowed and turned into Spector, when this LCD panel will connect another notebook, im see what LCD panel will Show normal image, and im think about lcd cable and by him, when cable will be change image some correctly but not normal...
    Ask me please where im can find older bios flash? maybe this bios not correctly work in lcd panel???

  • Major problems with my ipod...

    It's quite irritating, and I'd like to start right from the beginning with it's history. if you're uninterested in the history of problems I've had with it just scroll down.
    Anyways, I've had my ipod touch since christmas 2008, and in the beginning (maybe the first 1 or 2 syncs) everything was fine. On the third sync i started having problems, and had constantly had to try to get past them where one day i was finally able to completely sync it. After that 3rd sync I never bothered syncing it again on itunes.
    Now i got a new laptop, a Dell Inspiron 1525 which uses Vista Home Premium. Since I got my new laptop I wanted to get it connected to itunes from it, rather than the desktop because I was giving the desktop to my dad for him to use as a server (or something, I'm not quite sure). The first time I plugged in my ipod touch, it caused itunes to freeze, making me unplug it and restart my computer.
    (My problem:)
    Today, I tried syncing it because I was told by my friend a new update to the software was available via itunes which was meant to fix the recent problems with it. I decided to install it, everything was going great. When the software installed into my ipod touch, I tried to sync it, but alas it still did not work. In the end I tried restoring my ipod, and here's where the major problem happened. It started to restore and near the end it told me my device timed out. I unplug and replug my ipod to get the same message.
    After 1-2 times, I closed and re-opened itunes in which I tried plugging my ipod touch in again. It gave me an error message (unfortunately I don't remember it), so I decided to restore it one last time. This caused my ipod to now "not be recognized by itunes" as it malfunctioned. I know people have been posting about this problem, but it's not the only problem my ipod has now. Now my iPod touch won't even turn on. i've done EVERYTHING, I held the power and hold button, I held the power and hold button for 10 seconds and held the hold button for another 20seconds (like someone had suggested) and it did not work, and nothings working.
    I plan on returning it in exhange for a new one, but i really don't want this to happen again, which i'm afraid it might.
    So I have two questions:
    1) Why did my iPod do this, and why won't it turn on no matter what the typical drastic responses tell me to do?
    2) What can i do so that my ipod will properly sync on my Window's Vista?

    Is your laptop going to sleep in the process of restoring the Touch? To be safe, you might want to temporarily disable "Hibernation" on your laptop while you sync, and make sure that you have external power applied.

  • Combo of T61 and customer support problems

    My main problem is that my T61 freezes up.  It came with a 2 gig ram, sbbb Intel core 2 duo t7500 processor, 1 gig turbo memory window's ultimate 32 bit os and an 80 gig hard drive. This problem has been going on intermittently (odd) since I  received the laptop brand new.  I may or may not be able to move the cursor over the screen when it is frozen.  It does not high light anything, control-alt-delete does not work, nothing responds.  I have to manually hold down the power button to turn the system off.  
    The different things it has done, and not all during the same occurrence:  blue screen with white writing, black screen with white writing, black screen oxc 000000f-selected entry could not be loaded because application is missing or corrupt, the memory was dumped (I had used rescue and recovery backup disks then because I did not know if something was corrupt in the original software that came loaded on it), sometimes it checks the c-drive after being manually shut down, sometimes it does not, problem with window's registry (only did that maybe twice), and corrected master file table, corrected bit map (after checking c). Sometimes it freezes and gives no error messages during restart.  I do not have anything loaded on this system that is not compatible with vista nor anything that exceeds the ram. 
    When I had to use my rescue and recovery disks because everything crashed, I called tech support.  They told me I needed to update my drivers-especially my video driver.  I tried to tell them that I had been going to the lenovo website for driver updates, using pc doc, updating bios, doing a registry cleanup, defraging the hd, and of course window's updates.  So he gave me a link on lenovo's website for another update.  During that call, I told the guy that the recovery disks that came with the laptop loaded XP on my system.  He sent me out vista recovery disks-vista business, not ultimate, and it was freezing up on vista and xp-no matter what program I was using.  The next time I called, lenovo had my computer shipped back and replaced the corrupt 2 gig ram.  It came back with the same software it left with, so I know my hard drive had not been wiped.  On the third call I was told to update my drivers, check the hard drive using bios, that it was my web browser, remove the battery....  By this time I was wondering about technical service which leads me to my other issue.
    I called the month after my warranty ran out, because I thought I had an established history of problems with this $1600+ laptop that has not worked right, and I was told that the warranty had run out, they would not honor it, records after 30 days were wiped-so there went my established history.  Now someone please tell me why a computer company would not keep records of customers warranty work requests?  Especially during the warranty period.  I was then given the number to out of warranty claims who told me it was out of warranty (duh) and she gave me the number to entitlement.  They called me the next day, which was nice but unfortunately I was not expecting their call and did not have all my info available.  Entitlement told me that someone from tech support would call me within the hour.  My computer proceeded to freeze up-so I left it frozen while waiting for tech support to call.  They did not so I called them, was told my warranty was out of date and I was transferred to another number.  Now this entire time I had been polite in my requests and conversations, my family had even alerted them to  a billing error that would have caused another customer some problems.  The tech I was transferred to was extremely rude the entire time.  I was not given the opportunity to explain my situation-which was what entitlement said the call would be about.   I requested mediation, he told me someone would call me within two days, then he proceeded to hang up on me.  No one has called.
    I would appreciate some assistance, in my computer problems and how to get in touch with the right person about customer service.  Thank you.

    obviously you have suffered a lot with the laptop os not working properly, have you tried to disable the turbo memory, sometimes that cause alot of trouble.
