How to create a split zip file?

Hi,
Does anybody know how to create a split zip file using only Java?
Lets say I have a file that compressed has a size of 10MB and I need to split it into small files of 1MB each... and then be able to open and uncompress it using winzip or any other compressing tool.
I know how to create a zip file using java.util.zip but I cannot split it...

Hi, First I'm not a scripting guy and I know almost nothing about VB scripting.
I have a deployment of 6 tasks and I want to make sure that step # 2 will not be process if it failed in step #1, and so on for the 6 task.
To do this, i have to run a vb script before installation or uninstalltion on each steps
I'm trying to use a script (not from me) that i have modified for pre-uninstallation of software and also post-installation of the software.
Pre-uninstallation: The script will look if the specified "exe" exist on the server and if so, than it will run the msiuninstall "application_name".
If the uninstallation is successful, the post-installation script will check if the "exe" file exist again on the server, and it shouldn't find it (because it was deleted from the uninstallation), than it will return an exit code of successful
to run the next process.
Here an example:
Step 1: Uninstall "Software#1" with msiuninstall Software#1.exe command
Step 2: Uninstall "Software#2" with msiuninstall Software#2.exe command
Step 3: Install "Software #3"with an .exe extension
Step 4: Re install "Software #2" with an .msi extension
Step 5: Re install "Software #1" with a .msi extension.
Step 6: Send email to confirm the deployment is successful
So i need to validate that step #2 will not process step #3 if it failled on # 2. It need to validate if the file exist before and after.
At the end, Step 6 should send an email to confirm that the 6 steps of the deployment was completed without errors.
Any idea how to do it ?

How do I determine if a file exists or not on my PC?

I thought this would be an easy one and maybe I am just making it harder than what it has to be. I simply want to search in a given directory to see if a file exists on not on my hard drive. Are there any ideas as to how to do this without causing an error if the file does not exist?

In those situations what I've done till now is opening the file
and close it inmediatly, if I find out and error while opening it
I guess it doesn't exist. I know this is not the best way since there
may be other reasons for the Open File Function to fail, but it has
worked for me. Does somebody know a better way to do it?

How to test if a image file exists???

Hi ppl,
heres my problem...im using servlets and jsp and i only ever want to access the jsp file from a redirect in the servlet. Problem arises however if the user trys to access the jsp file directly in which case all the relative links on the page are no longer in the same context as if they were accessed via the servlet.
i wanna have some kind of test on my jsp page which displays an error page if the user has access the page directly but im not sure the best way to go about this.
i was thinkin about tryin to determine if an image file exists using a relative link...in which case if the relative links where off then it wouldnt.
Any suggestions on the best way to do this...or if there might be a better way to test such a case?
any advice much appreaciated.

I would suggest moving all jsp's that you dont want the user to have direct access to under the WEB-INF directory. This way they would only be able to access it through your servlet.

I have imported a PDF document and it automatically saves it to the cloud. I want the imported form to save locally? Is there a way to change an imported document from cloud to local?

Files are automatically saved to your online account when you use the Acrobat.com online services. However, you can most certainly download the files to your computer, by selecting them at https://cloud.acrobat.com/files, and then clicking the Download icon.

How to get audio in imported files?

I'm trying to import a keynote file from iwork 09 into the ipad version.
the presentation has background audio (mp3) and everytime I try to import, the soundtrack is removed by the application.
Im using the new Keynote 1.2 for ipad and keynote 5.0.4(633) on OSX 10.6.4
Any idea what i am doing wrong?

I spend five hours today designing, and constructing an awesome presentation in Keynote for iPad 1.2. I then brought it into the Mac version of Keynote '09. I then added a great soundtrack in the Mac version and tried to export/import it back into Keynote for the iPad 1.2 with exactly the same results - it ripped off the sound track.
I can't find a way from the Mac version of Keynote to "share" the presentation since I used custom slide and transition timing on the iPad version of Keynote and don't want to used "fixed" timing on each slide of the presentation.
Bottom line I want to produce a finished Keynote to play with sound on my iPad, or a finished video that looks just like the presentation on my Mac.
Any ideas?

How to add a new Spread file to the existing one IDML?

I'd to know how add new spread in IDML file exists.
In the file designmap.xml, I put and changed somethings:
1) I put some tags; the tags are:
<idPkg:Story src="Stories/Story_u1fc.xml"/>
<idPkg:Spread src="Spreads/Spread_d467.xml"/>
2) I also added the attribute StoryList which values u1fc.
In addition to this,The StoryList attribute belongs to element Document.
3) And I changed the attribute Length of element Section, to 5, which was 3; because my new spread have 2 pages.
In IDML file final, have files in each folder, but when I open the file in InDesign IDML, it does not open .... crashes the application.
what should I do?

The SAP GLOBAL 2.0 should be downloaded from the Service marketplace. Follow the URL : [http://service.sap.com/swdc|http://service.sap.com/swdc] and search for SAP GLOBAL.
You will find the following SWCV - XI CONTENT SAPGLOBAL 2.0. If you have relevant access, you can download the same as a .tpz file and then import it into your ESR.

I'm new to the apple world. When you download a file, how do you then install that file on an apple computer? I received a download from Symantec, but I am unsure of how to go about installing the file once it downloads.

if the file you downloaded was meant to be' installed', then all you have to is double-click on it.
i.e. let's say you've told safari or mail or whatever to download the file to your Desktop. once the downloading is complete, there is a new icon on your Desktop. then just double-click on that new icon.
if you tell us the name of this downloaded file, we can provide add'l instructions... i,e, you might have downloaded an image file (*.dmg) or an archive of some sort (*.tar.gz, *.sitx, etc)... in any case, double-clicking it should get the ball rolling.
now of course i may have completely misunderstood what you're asking (the subject line makes me think i am) so post back w/ add'l details &/or results... cheers

How-To Guide Who is Who iView

Hello,
I found here in the SDN a How-To Guide about configuring the Who is Who iView. But in this guide consists that the TREX is a requirement for this iView.
Now we don´t use TREX at the moment but we would have this Who is Who iView. Is it possible to implement this iView without TREX and which setting are different between implementation with and without TREX?

These are the steps you need to follow to import an existing project into eclipse
Firstly you must extract the project to a directory.
Steps:
1. Select the required Perspective.
2. Choose File - import.
3.Select Multiple existing projects into workspace & then next
4.Select browse.
5.Select the folder containing the projects & then ok.
6.Select the projects to be imported.
7. If you want to have the projects displayed in the J2EE explorere, select open projects after import.
8. choose finish.

One of my programs need to check if a particular file exists. How do I know if a file exists or not. Basically I have to append data to an existin file or open a new file if the file doesn't exists.

If you are using an older version, you can also use DBMS_LOB.FILEEXISTS instead of utl_file.fgetattr, like so:
