What is the image capture command that you are using?
Do we followed any guides to capture the image? If yes, would you please have a share with that?

Can't erase hard drive on my PowerBook G4 when using the Installer CD
Hi,
I am trying to erase the hard drive on my old Powerbook G4 so that I can donate it. I followed the instructions by booting up the laptop using the Installer CD. Every time I select my hard drive in the Erase window and click the Erase button, it just checks the volumes and then it dims and nothing else happens.
After multiple failed attempts to erase the HD, I decided to quit the install CD and simply remove the HD altogether. I pressed the "Option" key in order to avoid starting up from the CD, but it is not working. I am unable to return to my original settings. All I see now is an arrow on the right hand side of the blue screen and a circle with an arrow on the left side. Pressing the arrow does not result in anything.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I tried everything yesterday. It only allowed me to verify the disk and not do any repairs. This computer has some major issues so I am not surprised. Since it was destined for recycling anyway, I decided not to waste any more time on it, so I removed the hard disk instead and am about to ship it off. -

Thanks!Hello Simona_83. Try downloading Google Chrome (it's free). Install Flash Player via Chrome, and use Chrome as your browser. This is the only thing that worked for me after over a month of trying everything under the sun to get Flash Player working again. You'll have to use Chrome as your browser in order to have Flash Player capability, but so what. It works. If it works for you as it works for me, you will have Youtube again; you just have to access Youtube via Chrome. Don't waste hours of your life trying to get Flash Player to work any other way. Believe me, I wasted hours upon hours off and on over the course of a month trying to get Flash Player installed and operating.

How can I make iMessage work on 2 iPhones with 2 different phone numbers using the same Apple ID?
My work requires me to split time between two countries (Ph and Bn). I had an iPhone 4 with a Ph number and a Nokia for the Bn number. iMessage was running on the iPhone 4 with the Ph number and my apple ID. I recently replaced the Nokia with an iPhone 5 which I set up using the iCloud back up of my iPhone 4. I cant seem to set up iMessage (and Facetime) the way I want it to work on the iPhone 5. Im not sure if iOS 6 would allow me to do this so I'm throwing this out to the forums to check if its possible.
iPhone 4 w/ iOS 6
- uses Ph sim card
- Ph number set in Phone>My Number
- iMessage>Send & Receive has the following data
Ph Number - greyed outand checked
Apple User ID - checked
iPhone 5 w/ iOS 6
- uses Bn sim card
- Bn number set in Phone>My Number
- iMessage>Send & Receive has the following data
Ph number greyed out and not checked
Same Ph number checked
Apple User ID checked
Ive tried turning on/off my iPhone 5 and logging on and off iMessage but I cant seem to get it to update the iMessage phone number to the Bn number. Any idea how I can do this?I believe because you migrated from a Nokia to an iPhone you need to register the Bn phone number with your Apple ID so it can be used for iMessage. The Pn number seems to be the only one registered

I go to LinkedIn and type in a name in the search box, for instance "Peter" and hit enter.
Normally, this will return with a list of people with the first name "Peter", listed according to degrees connectivity.
Instead the web site never loads the next page. It appears that it keeps loading the page over and over again, but with no result.
In the end I have to press back or use another browser (Safari) to load the page and use the search function.When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
1. Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Command+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server. Any difference? If not...
2. Clear Firefox's Cache Completely
Edit > Preferences > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
3. If needed, remove your linkedin.com cookies
While viewing a page on the site:
Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Remove each cookie then try reloading the page. You probably will need to log in again. Does that help? -

my creative MP3 player recently broke (wish i never would have bought it) I'm now looking to get an IPod and I was wondering if the 30GB with a hard drive is as good as a flash drive because I mean I'll be using it when i excercise (running) and i dont want it to break or anything...Just because a harddrive uses moving parts I dont want it to fall apart or somrthing stupid a flash drive wouldn't do

i had a power mac g4 into which i put 3, 320 gb PATA hard drives in a raid slice config so that it worked as one drive needless to sat that i lost the g4 to a surge but the drives are good. now i have an imac, how can i recover the info off those drives. can i put the drives in external cases and plug them all in, will the imac see them as a raid slice then help please
Before you have another accident:
Buy a UPS of good quality and sufficient to your needs.
I would have to assume that the drives were connected to a PCI PATA card, hopefully. Otherwise, well RAID and having drives on the same bus (master and slave).
And no backup, none at all...
Get your hands on a G4.
Data Rescue 3 from Prosoft maybe.
If they were SATA and running on PCI SATA controller, very popular and common really in G4s, more options would be open. -
My hard drive failed. My applications were on the drive including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint. Apple told me I could pull everything from the failed drive. I tried that but the drive is bad so I can't get to anything. The Office package was installed/included when I purchased the Mac. Does anyone think Apple will provide me with the Office package? Thank you!
Thank you everyone. I apologize to confusing all but I am up to date and running OS X 10.8.2. It's possible I purchased the key for Office but I don't think so although it was 3-4 years ago. I guess I will stop in the Apple Store and just ask. I may just buy the new bundle anyway to get the most updated.
I have read there are issues with the MS Office bundle running on our latest OS, is that true?

Every time i logged in kde session, desktop effects are disabled. If I try to change compositing mode I always get this error message:
Failed to activate desktop effects using the given configuration options. Settings will be reverted to their previous values.
Check your X configuration. You may also consider changing advanced options, especially changing the compositing type.
If i delete ~/.kde4 folder and restart the system, then I have default session and I can change compositing mode and all effects are working smoothly. But after next restart effects are gone again and this message occurs
Is there are any ways to investigate/debug step by step this sort of problem? All i have googled about this message is too old or does not helpoing in my case

Trying to Install RMS application 13.2.2 and I get past the pre-installation checks and when I get to the Data Source details and enter the data source details with the check box checked to validate the schema/Test Data Source I get the following error:

You can redirect <Profile>\<AppData>\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup to a folder on another drive using NTFSLink (shell ext., might only work on XP) or Junction (cmd line tool).
In essence you move the existing folder to a new location, create an empty folder where the old one used to be, then get the operating system/tool to link the two togther and silently redirect any file operation on the old location through to the new one.

The soon to be released new iMacs don't have a DVD drive. I don't believe that Apple have updated their site to say their USB drive will work, but the expectation is that it will.
I watched the keynote and when Phil Schiller was presenting the new models I think he mentioned something about it working and he had one on the desk next to the iMac.
I'm going to check the keynote if it's still up and I'll update my post if I'm wrong. -
