A line a day - new colour today

todays new vertical line is a lovely bright red.
first one like that.
looks nice with the yellow, magenta and cyan ones,
but its very lonely in the middle of the display, so,
hopefully tomorrow it will have another new line right next to it.
also have :
DVD drive totally broken
Random sleep syndrome.
this computer is a pile of crap.

I am having the same problem as many others on this forum (the vertical lines issue, not the backlight).
I got my Powerbook G4 1,67GHz in April 2005. I actually ordered it in January 2005, but Apple called me and asked if I wanted to wait an extra couple of weeks for the new model (with 100GB storage instead of 80GB, and 1,67GHz instead of 1,5). Of course I said 'Yes, please!' ... What a nice thing to do, right! But then again, what a bummer/bad luck/etc...
In January/February 2006, the 1 pixel vertical lines started appearing, and it soon evolved into covering my entire display! Now my display looks exactly like this (I will post photos of my actual screen as well, later!):

A few months later even my Airport stopped working. As all this happened just when the 1-year-warranty ran out, I couldn't afford to fix it while I was studying (and also thinking it was my own fault, for bringing it all around the world and back). I have even opened it a couple of times myself, in pure frustration, to try and connect loose cables or wires!! With no luck, of course.
I am a graphic designer, and I need my monitor to be absolutely perfect.
Apple, can you please fix this?
It is clearly a fabrication issue! Judging by the number of dissapointed customers on this forum, you can't neglect this any more. I am expecting you to take care of the situation.

Are you migrating from a Mac or a MS Window machine? Either way you probably should be in touch with AppleCare, you have 90 days of free AppleCare telephone support. They can usually help on issues like this. If you don't know the phone number please use http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57 to help find the number in your country.

If you still have your old phone back it up via iTunes, then restore your new phone via the old phone's back up. Hope that makes sense.

It reboots it but unplugging can also rectify communication issues like this. A restore would be the next step.

If you don't have a backup then the only possible solution is to go back to the store and see if they can get your old phone and create a backup of that. I know very often that Apple employees will wipe the returned iPhones clean before shipping them back to wherever they ship them.
When you say your old phone was "broken" does this mean it is dead and won't turn on?
Do you have a Time Machine backup of your computer, or a clone that might have this info on it?
Other than that I hate to say you may be out of luck. Time Machine and/or a cloning program performed regularily will inevitably save your a** in situations like this.

Did you choose the wrong back up? There should be a drop box when you go to "Restore from Back up" in iTunes and your iPhone is plugged in, on the Summary page. Choose the correct back up. If you can't find one, and you still have your device, back up your iPhone 4 again and then choose that back up. Or check for an old iCloud back up if you have one.

From the information that you have provided, it sounds like your Apple ID has been disabled. You can read this to see how you can troubleshoot that issue.
Apple ID is Disabled - Apple Club - Google Sites
You can try signing out of your ID on the iPad and sign in with his ID and see if that works.
Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Then sign in with your husband's newly created ID.

Nope... some of these are birthday all-day events created three years ago, or more. When I edit the events there is no time zone listed, but here is what I do notice:
When I view the "repeat" information for one of the problem events in iOS, it says "Custom." When I select that I see that it says "Yearly" instead of "Every Year." The events that do not have a problem are set to repeat "Every Year"
The two I just compared were created in 2008 (the one that works) and 2011 (the one that doesn't). I am guessing that I created one of these events using my iPhone, and the other using Google Calendar via a Web browser. I will try to create some test events using both devices to see if there is any difference.

When you go to the download page, you must do two things:
Download this file: PhSp_CS2_English.exe on the download page.
Use the serial number on the download page in order to install your non-activation copy.
Do not use your old CD or serial number. It no longer works.
If you have Windows 7, the advice is to turn off UAC and run the installer as Administrator.

I need help to write a VB script that read all new lines since the last time.
For example: The script reads the textfile at specific time, then 10 minutes later the script read the file again, and it should now only read the lines that are new since last time. Anyone that has such a script in your scriptingbox?

Based on the excellent idea by Pegasus, where is a VBScript solution. I use a separate file to save the last line count read from the file, then each time the file is read I update the line count. Only lines after the last count are output by the program:
