A Little Red Triangle

Hello, I'm wondering if you can help me.
I have had my BlackBerry for just over a year now and it's been fine. But, a problem has just strated to occur and has been happening for the past two and a half months. A red traingle is on the right-hand side of my battery bar and it's stating that I am in a different country. I can access BBM and Facebook because I am connected to my internet server. But when I am out of the house and still "roaming" it only lets me send SMS' and call people.
I don't know how to fix this problem and have tried desperately to get rid of it! Someone please reply quickly!
Thank you.

Please look at your Manage Connections screen > Mobile Network.
Look at Data Services, is that set to ON, Off , or Off when roaming?
Do you have your Mobile Network checkmarked to be on?
When you are out of the house, not connected to WiFi, what is the mobile signal indicator at the top right of the home screen?

  • I am trying to add text to the I photo book inside the which indicate the boundaries but a red  triangle has appeared. for             indicate the boundaries for such text, however there is a small red triangle appearing to say that I have too much text.

I am trying to add text to an I photo book project. I have entered the text inside the blue lines which indicate the boundaries but have got a red triangle showing I have exceeded the text. Any ideas please?

Check the font size, if it's just a little too close to the top of the box, it will reject it.

  • How to get the sum in appropriate column without a red triangle appearing?

    Hello,
In 'Numbers" - How do get columns to add (calculate) the sum in each decending column on an Expense Report.
When I highlight the decending column the total appears on the far left of the screen.  When I drag the sum amount from there to the appropriate column a red triangle with an ! appears instead of the amount.
    Thanks for your immediate help.

The red triangle is an Error triangle. Clicking it will display the error message and tell you what error has occurred. From your description, my assumption is that you dragged the SUM() function from the quick calculations at the lower left and dropped it intto a cell in the column being summed.
If that's the case, this is likely the error message you would see:
When you highlighted the 'decending column,' you likely selected all of the cells in that column, including the one into which you dropped the function.
Instead, do one of the following. These assume the column you want to sum is column B.
If you want the sum at the top of the column:
Make sure the row you want the sum to appear in is a Header row.
Enter this formula into any Header Row cell in column B:   =SUM(B)
If you want the sum at the bottom of the column:
Add a Footer row to the table. (Go Table (menu) > Footer Rows > 1).
Enter this formula into the Footer Row cell in column B:   =SUM(B)
SUM (and other functions) that expect a range of cells will interpret a cell reference entered using only the column letter (B) as meaning 'all of the non-header, non-footer cells in column B', and will exclude those cells in header or footer rows.

    Barry

  • How do I check if a cell is an error (Red triangle)?

How do I check if a cell contains an error (Ie. a red triangle)? I can't seem to find an apropriate function, nor an answer using the search function on this board (Nor Google).
Otherwise I'll have to do a ton of IF functions to fix it...

    Hi David,
"How do I check if a cell contains an error?"
To check if a cell contains an error, you look at the cell. If it shows a red triangle, it contains an error.
Do you mean 'How do I fix an error?"
That depends on what the error is. You start by clicking the error triangle to view the error message.
If it says "The formula contains a syntax error," you examine the formula carefully to find the syntax error, then correct the error. The most common source of syntax errors in complex formulas is misplacing one or more parentheses.
If it says "bad reference" you examine the cell references in the formula to see if one or more is beyond the boundaries of the table referenced.
Other error messages require other detective work.
Can you clarify the issue with more specific details? What do you mean by "an appropriate function"? Appropriate to what purpose?
    Regards,
    Barry

  • What are the little red squares on the lower left hand corner of a movieclip in the actions panel?

What do the little red squares on the lower left hand corner of the movieclips in the actions panel mean?  [Fig. 1]
I'm working off this template in Flash CS3, that's using ActionScript 2.0 actually.
I don't know whether or not that means anything in regards to the above inquire?
    Again, any help is appreciated.
    Fig.1

OK, I think I might have figured this out.
First. You guys keep insisting it's the Movie Explorer. It is not. It is the Actions Panel. You can see for yourself. Option+F9 opens the Actions Panel. Option+F3 opens the 'Explorer Window'. They are similar in appearance but they're not the same thing. They're just not.
Second. I believe that the red dots on the movieclips, and also buttons, indicates when there is actionscript directly on the movieclip and/or button, as oppose to actionscript written on a frame within a movie clip and/or button.
You really have to pay special attention to the top of the Actions Panel right next to where it says 'Actions' there's a dash '–' and then it says either 'Frame', 'Movie Clip', or 'Button'. This indicates exactly where you're about to write script to, or where you're reading the script from, so it's important to pay attention to this.
That left side pane, in the Actions Panel, is divided by 'Scene' and by 'Symbol Definition(s)' and it's confusing because it's possible to have a symbol appear more than once depening on where the actionscript is located (i.e. on a frame or on the movie clip or button itself).
For example if you have script on a FRAME within movie clip A, it'll appear in the SYMBOL DEFINITION(S) pane, without a red box, but if you were to write script on movie clip A itself, it would still not have the red box on it in the SYMBOL DEFINITION(S) pane, BUT it would appear again as movie clip A in the SCENE pane, and this time it would appear with the red box next to it, casue it now has actionscript directly on the movie clip itself. Wow, how confusing is that ha.
Keep in mind that if you made a movie clip B, within movie clip A, and if you placed actionscripts directly on movie clip B, NOT on a frame, then movie clip B would get a red box and appear UNDER movie clip A, within the SYMBOL DEFINITION(S) pane, NOT the SCENE pane. Ha.
If you wrote script on a FRAME within movie clip B it would appear in the SYMBOL DEFINITION(S) again, yes a second time, twice, but WITHOUT a red box. Confused yet? ha.
I don't know why Flash decided to do it this way. But it starts to make sense when you're actually viewing it, when it's in front of you. I think this is just for actionscript 2.0 (and for actionscript 1.0 presumably), but I don't think this is the case for ActionScript 3.0, because in as3 it's all instance name based, and targeting based, so there's no such thing as writing script directly onto a symbol of any kind, button, movie clip or otherwise.
But yeah, that's it in a nutshell.
Thanks for trying to help anyway.

  • Why do my saved / exported photos out of Lightroom have a little red dot on them?

My edited photos in Lightroom look great.  But once I export them and take a look with another program (Photo Mechanic or Previewer), I see a little red dot on the photos.
I have the latest version of Lightroom downloaded (5.7) and have tried restarting the program and re-exporting the photos but no dice.
After further investigation via Google, I think this red dot is a "hot pixel" as it is showing up in every photo in the same spot.  Apparently this is caused by my camera sensor but I'm confused by this as my RAW files do not show the red dot, only when the photos have been converted to JPGs can you see it.  Stumped.

Please show us a screen capture.

  • My MacBook Pro retina 2013 won't charge. I've checked all connections which are all ok. Little red light shows on magnetic plug, instead of usual green.

My MacBook Pro retina 2013 won't charge. I've checked all connections which are all ok. Little red light shows on magnetic plug, instead of usual green.

If you are seeing a Red LED, you may have a faulty MagSafe Adapter.
I remember reading that the orange light is produced by a combination of a Red and Green LED. If that's the case, It seems that the adapter isn't lighting the green LED properly at that time.
I would suggest you seek service with your nearest Genius Bar (Apple Retail Store) or Apple Authorised Service Provider as they have access to diagnostics which may assist in isolating any hardware issues you may be experiencing.
    Cheers.

  • Red triangle/exclamation point on text thread

About a week ago, when I'd open up the menu listing all of my text threads with various people, I noticed a red triangle/exclamation point icon showing up next to the name of one person.  A few days ago, I began experiencing trouble opening up this particular thread; I would just get the "loading" message.  My friend has been able to send me texts, I just can't open them.  Any idea what this might be and why it seems to be affecting only one text thread?  Thanks!!

I ended up calleing tech support and the problem was that I had not deleted any of my texts and I didn't have enough space.  I deleted old messages and the problem is solved.

  • I'm having problem with text boxes.  Whenever i hit the enter button to start a new line or paragraph, the cursor doesn't drop down to the next line.  Instead i get this little red + sign in the box.

You are absolutely right.  Thought Enter meant Enter.  I was wrong.  Thank you for the help.

  • Little red "upturned pin" marker in a clip in the clips pane

Does anyone know what the little red "upturned pin" marker I've found in a couple of misbehaving clips in the clips pane is indicating to me? I'm sorry if there's some info i've overlooked in the tutorials.

    Lara,
The red marker you describe indicates the position of your playhead when you are in the clip viewer.
When you play your movie the red mark should move.

  • What is the little Red 1 on the iCal icon in the Doc?

Uh...what is that little red 1 on the iCal icon in the doc when I open iCal...and how do I make it go away?
I'm sure a ridiculously simple answer is headed my way...Thanks

    Moving Still,
That means that you have an event invitation. Click on the envelope icon in the bottom left corner of the iCal window to display the invitation and choose what to do with it.

  • The little red dot with a bar on the weekly calender

Stupid question...In iCAl I have a little red dot with a bar attached to is that goes across the entire week. It is next to the timeline at about 2:00. It only shows up on the week calender. What is this bar? What does it do? Can one make it go away? It's killing me. I can't find a setting for it, an explanation, a right click...nothing. It's just buggin' me. Anyone???

    NCesau,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
The red dot with the bar is supposed to represent the current "Time of Day." It will/should be displayed in the Day, and Week views. It appears as if your TOD is stagnant, i.e. not working, if is stationary at the 2:00 time, and only visible in the Day view.
There is no user preference to change the normal behavior.
Since your iCal appears not to be working as advertised, you may be able to regain normal function by refreshing the iCal plist file. You will find the com.apple.iCal.plist file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder. Quit iCal, drag the .plist file to your Desktop, log out/in or restart and check iCal for normal behavior.
