A lot of issues with my S5

Since these recent updates my phone has been glitching the **** out. Like my keyboard will type on its own, facebook will not update its feed, and sometimes my lock screen to type in my numbers to unlock my phone wont show up. What is the deal? Also my focus is not good at all on my s5. Is there anyway to fix this or is this a hardware issue?

A couple of things can cause the phone to mess up. As far as the camera not focusing, that may be fixed with a software update.(along with all the other problems.) if not then back up the device and factory reset it. Try using samsung KIES on a PC to do the backup. ( www.samsung.com/kies ) This can also repair the software/update the operating system.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.<br />
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.<br /><br />

I feel like it interferes with iPhoto as well because it says it is locked and I have no rights to view it. I wanted to see if anyone else had/s this issue and how you fixed it before lugging it into the apple store and being without a computer for a few weeks...

It seems like there are a lot of issues with the 3GS on iOS 5.1, should I stay with 4.3.5? Part of what worries me is that my business is completely reliant on this phone and the billing and job tracking software I use, so if something were to happen I would be in trouble. Also, myself not being all that tech savy I am wondering if by hooking my iphone up to itunes once every couple of weeks, is it creating a backup file? If I had to replace my phone could I just plug the new one into itunes and have all of my apps and data transferred onto the new phone? I want to get proactive about this so at the very least I'm not tempting fate.

Looking around here, what you are going to see is problems. People don't come to forums like this to talk about how smoothly their phone is working.
Backing up every couple of weeks is OK, if you can afford to lose several weeks worth of data.
That's one of the huge advantages of iOS5. Wireless backups to iCloud. Plug your phone in to charge at night, and if you have WiFi, it will back up without the need for you to do anything. If it gets run over by a truck, you get a new one, restore from iCloud, and off you go.
if you don't update, you're going to start running into problems soon as new versions of many apps REQUIRE iOS 5.

I have lot of issues with the iPhone. First I cant forward the messages that people sent me, second you can't receive or send a picture mail directly from phone to phone, the sounds and the speaker is so low you can barely hear and has lot of static when you turn on the speaker phone, and you cannot connect to itunes store with the internet you have through AT & T it keeps asking you for Wi Fi and says cannot connect to itunes store, and you can't send address to other phones that really *****
I mean these features are so simple any cheap phone can do it why not iphone they say it is so advance over the other phones. apple should really work on this. i think that is the reason people still prefer black berries or other phones. iphone is cool as they say it is but it is not that impressive at all if you can do basic features like these!!!!

Yes you can. People can send an MMS to your e-mail address, instead of your phone number. You can e-mail a pic to their phone - they will receive as n MMS. Do a forum search as this has been explained thousands of times.

It is called the itunes wi-fi store for that very reason.

Again, nothing new.
Perhaps you should spend more time researching before you spend the money.
If you are within the return window, take the iphone back to the store and get you money back - less restocking fee - consider it the cost of not researching.

I'm having lots of issues with Dreamweaver CC on my 2nd monitor.

I cannot open new files, or create new files... the pane doesn't display. Works fine on my Macbook Pro Display, but not on the 2nd monitor using Thunderbolt. I also have lots of odd behaviors when attempting to edit code. The selection jumps all around... I tried uninstalling and reinstalling fresh, but still having the same issue. Has anyone else been experiencing this?

According to Adobe staff, a problem was introduced in Yosemite that is causing funkiness with secondary monitors is what I meant.
It seems related, not that it's the same exact issue.
Personally, I'd roll back to an older version of DW if that second monitor was necessary to my workflow within the program until Adobe or Apple push a patch.

I am having a lot of issues with iPhoto. I recently upgraded my software to Snow Leopard from the original software on my Macbook Pro. I got the Mac in 2007. Everytime I try to open iPhoto is just shuts down! It also wont recongnize my iPhone. HELP!

My iPhoto will not stay running. It opens for a minute and then quits unexpectedly. I get an error message and it says a report will be sent to apple. My computer will not recognize my iPhone either. I cannot figure out how to fix this issue or if there is any way to fix it!

Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
What's the plist file?
For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101.
If that fails:
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

LOTS of issues with Fascinate...worst phone ever

I got this phone as the BOGO when my sister bought her Incredible 33 days ago, I previously had a Motorola Droid...big mistake on this "upgrade". I've had problems with it from day one. On day one I was unable to make or receive phone calls until after I restarted the phone several times. I should have taken the phone back and exchanged it the next day but I just didn't have time. The unresponsive screen issue making it impossible to make calls continued. The sound quality was terrible, sounded like a blown speaker. I rarely had good WiFi or cell signal in areas where my Droid got excellent signal (still does, my husband has my beloved Droid now). Unable to load web browser pages. To resolve the unresponsive screen or lack of signal I would have to restart the phone...when the phone restarted it started beeping. "Beep, beep, beep" *pause* "Beep, beep, beep"...on, and on for several minutes (literally, it would beep for 5+ minutes everytime it started up).
Finally, about 25 days after purchase I called *611 to talk to tech support about the issues I was having. I was told that none of these issues were coming up as things that others had complaints with, it sounds like I just got a faulty phone and I could either have them send a replacemnt out to me or I could exchange it at the store where I bought it. I went back to the store I originally bought the phone from and exchanged it. Six days into Fascinate #2 (31 days after the original purchase) I'm having some of the same issues. No signal, unable to load browser pages without restarting the phone and the "Beep, beep, beep" cycle upon restart. The beeping continues for 5+ minutes, the only resolution seems to be turning the volume off.
Has anyone else had any of these issues? If so, what can be done to fix any of these problems? Is there any change Verizon would let me trade this in for a completely different phone? (NOT another Fascinate!!)

If you are using a Task Manager Application, try removing that application, or changing its setting on the device. Review the applications that you are using and remove applications that may be conflicting with the phones operation. Power the device off then remove and replace the battery. Then dial *228 send and option 1 on the device.
Replacement devices are usually issued for manufactures defects and are usually the same model depending on the circumstances.

PLEASE HELP I'M DESPERATE! I know there are lots of issues with media going offline. I am creating a slideshow of pictures with audio. The audio has gone "offline" and it is not able to reconnect.

I am using the same computer that the file was originally saved on, so that isn't the problem. I have tried multiple times to reconnect the files, but nothing happens. The sound was edited a little in Garage Band, then saved to the desktop, then edited more in FCP. I don't think that should make any difference but who knows. Please help, I've been working for hours now!

Lots of issues with the latest update

I used to really love my S5 but the latest update has turned it into nothing but frustration. I'll try to keep this short...
1. The OS overall is very sluggish. Tapping anything is very slow to respond. Sometimes I have to tap twice or three times. Sometimes I have to lock and unlock for it to respond at all. Sometimes when I try that it just reboots all on its own.
2. The animations seem to bog down everything and flicker - and that's when they animate. NOTHING is smooth and mostly it's just a screen blink and then "something happens" and then I get a result. Sometimes.
3. Biggest frustration of all: There are no more notifications on the lock screen??? And for some reason the screen wakes up every time I get a notification but there's nothing too see. Seems to serve no purpose except to allow my thigh to unlock my phone an open apps in my pocket while I walk.
4. Most of the time when I unlock it seems that the home screen needs to refresh. It takes up to 10 full seconds for the home screen to draw.
5. Every once in awhile the keyboard randomly appears on the home screen when I unlock.
6. The Task Manager is very frustrating to open. Used to be very quick and easy to use... now it takes forever for it to open and doesn't actually kill ALL listed apps like it used to.

@cdgo - I can't answer your question about the cloud, but I think I can offer some idea about the need for IE.
IE is not just a browser - it includes a number of additional thing, one of which is an ActiveX control to display web pages inside other applications. It will be this that Skype uses to display the home page, and to manage internet file transfers.
The capabilities of this control reflect the capabilities and settings of the currently-installed IE browser, so if you have websites blocked in IE, or an outdated version, then this will affect the instance of this control that is running within Skype.
This is a fairly standard way of dealing with HTML rendering, and is not unique to Skype.

Is that because of the Spry framework itself, or is it mostly

For the most part, they tend to be CSS layout issues that
would manifest whether using Spry or not. Sure, some are js bugs
and are fixed in the javascript, but usually it is a CSS fix.

We are trying to make more samples of these common layout
issues so users can see the code to solve the issue.
It can be frustrating for sure and we are doing what we can
to make it easier for users. That is the original goal of Spry.

If something should happen to my iPod, I wouldn't want to lose all of the music I have purchased. I can't upgrade it either because a box pops up that says everything will be erased from my iPod... Might be an authorization issue in iTunes. Try deauthorizing your computer through the Store menu at the top of iTunes and then authorizing it again. Once that is done try transferring purchases from the iPod Touch.

Connectivity Issues with USB 3 ports on macbook pro

Hi, I have a zoom r24 which is no longer working as an audio interface with my new macbook pro. I have read a lot about issues with USB 2 devices not being compatible with USB 3 ports on the macs. This seems to be midi as well as audio devices. Can anyone recommend or point me to a list of supported devices for both audio and midi which are guaranteed to work with a late 2013 macbook pro retina display. I cant afford a thunderbolt device. The first thing to do is trash the preferences. As far as affecting Logic 7, once you install 8, 7 is "forgotten" about. I'm assuming your L8 is a real version, not a "borrowed from the interweb" one.
