A lot problems with SVGs saving.

Hello, I'm writing here because now sitting in tears with AI CC issues.
Iwrote to the support, but after sending them samples (requested by them) it is the silence from the longer time. Also forums suggestions didnt help.
At first me and my collegue had a problem with saving svgs from ais. After saving (all settings good, and it is not the first time, when I generate svgs in my life) when we were trying to open a file there were an error: "The SVG is Invalid. Validate it before opening."
After a few dozens of tries we found a trick for it.
1) Take vector picture from AI,
2) then paste as smart object to PS,
3) then increase resolution to for eg 600 dpi
4) then copy raster file to the AI back
5) then image trace (hight fidelity photo)
6) then save and YAY, svg opens.
But for many of files prepared this way I'm getting another error. It is all showed on the attached picture. Left side is TRACED picture, right is svg after reopening (white areas).
Sorry I can't show all image because of NDA.
I'm going insane, client gets angry, and I can do nothing

Yeah, thanks. I tried a lot options with saving.
I have a hunch something you applied in Illy is causing these issues.
I thought it can be an issue, but rather not coz for eg have 5 very similar files and the only difference between them is kind of expanded A letter instead of letter B
And part of them work, part not.
Thanks all for comments, I'll be still trying, and retrying. Redrawing is rather not a point, coz term is short and files count in dozens.

my .json file isn't corrupted cause it was saved on another partition before formatting my OS.
Please don't tell me that my bookmarks are lost :( cause i had many important things in that bookmarks, on 100.s pages :( ....

Can you restore that JSON backup in a new profile?
Did you make sure that it is really a JSON backup and that there is no missing or hidden other file extension?
A JSON backup starts with: {"title":"","id":1,"dateAdded"
A HTML backup starts with: <!DOCTYPE NETSCAPE-Bookmark-file-1>
You can try if you can restore that JSON backup in a new profile.
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems
See Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

No, i can't restore JSON backup in new profile, even on fresh installed OS XP SP3, with fresh installation of latest version of firefox!

I tried restoring json backup in new profile, but nothing, i couldn't restore, cause that stupid error from screen shot which i posted again appears !
Man i'm not totally noob i repeat 2nd time here, and normally that i know to create new profile, and that i tried that, but that didn't help!
I can't believe that FIREFOX has not good support team, and doesn't care for yours users, this will not give me more reason to use in future firefox

Problem with reusing saved library file due to iTunes version differences

I was running iTunes on my Windows PC with Vista 64-Bit since March 17, 2009. Everything was fine until some operating system file got corrupted two days back, and Microsoft had to wipe out my hard drive and reinstall the Operating System to the factory settings.
I did back up everything, including the iTunes Music files and the Library files to my external hard drive. But, I forgot to note the exact version of my Itunes, except I do remmebr that I had refused all attempts by iTunes over last month or so to install Ver. 8.2 becasue of some bad things I had read in this forum about some of the problems with 8.2. I had a record of the last version I had installed and it was 8.1.0.52.
So, after the operatng system reinstaled, I downloaded iTunes 8.1.1 and installed it. I then copied the iTunes Music files and the libary file to the exatly same folder structure as before.
I hold down the SHIFT key and start up iTunes. And, when I point to the Library file, iTunes says that the libray file can not be accessed because it was made by a newer version of iTunes! I just don't understand how that can be!
In any case, I can use your advice as to what do I do next to be able to use my saved library and start using my iTunes and my iPod!

I downloaded and installed iTunes ver. 8.2.0.23 x64, and now, am very happy to say, that iTunes was able to read my library, and it did recognize my iPod just fine. That's the very good news.
Now, the slight bad news. May be 100 or so, out of some 9000 tracks of music, appear with a '!' to the left of the track listing. It si becasue it does not find it? Why?
Now, I do have to go back to my Album files and identify each of these. Can some one please help me out as to why this problem occured? I certainly did not move any songs to any place and the folder structure is identical to what they were before!

Problems with files saving in a quicktime format

I am having a problem with files from several programs in my adobe CS6 Master Collection saving in a quicktime format. I am running a Windows7 PC. It appears to be happening in both photoshop and fireworks from what I can tell. Does anybody have any idea why this is doing it and how to fix it?

Fireworks doesn't save or export in Quicktime format.

Problems with loading / saving settings of the lightening filter

I've problems with Photoshop CS2 / Windows 2000. If I open the dialog for the lightening filter, the list of the standard-settings is empty. And I can't also save any custom setting.
In the folder of the filter-settings and all standard-setting-files are available.
I tried to rename and reinstall the prefs-file and the whole program. But without success.
What's the reason? File system (NTFS)? User-rights in the file-settings? Registry-entries? Who knows a way to solve this problem?

Problem with data saving into text file

Hi,
The problem I am facing wihile saving the data into text file is that everytime when I am slecting the path from front panel, the data which is being saved is appended with the previous data, i.e. not only in the new text file, the new set of data is saved but also, if there is any previuos run for the program, the corresponding data is also present in that text file.
However, when I change the same 'control'(file path) to 'constant' in the block diagram, and add the file path, there is no such problem. Basically, changing the "File path" from constant in the block diagram to control (so that it is displayed in the front panel) is causing the problem.

Your shift register on the For loop is not initialized. It will retain the value of the string from the last time it executed. Initialize that and it should solve your problem.

Problems with SVG line charts based on PL/SQL returning SQL

Dear all - I wonder if anyone can tell me whether this problem is likely to be fixed at some point?
It relates to the fact that you can't get more than one series on a chart where the SQL is returned from PL/SQL.
It is a huge issue for us when trying to create complex, dynamic charts, which are simple enough in PL/SQL, but end up quite nightmarish in pure SQL.
Although we have implemented Maani SWF (Flash) charts as a workaround, users don't like them as there's no 'save as...' or copy+paste and they seem to print very badly indeed.
Here's part of a post from last May with more detail:

I can create a chart with a single series using syntax something like:

On some, but not all SVG line charts, I had trouble when some values are ZERO.
Putting a CASE WHEN var = 0 then 0.05 ELSE var END in the select statement
fixed those situations.
I had missing lines when the number of data points in a series exceeded the default number of 15, and I did not set in the series configuration to a number equal to or higher that the number of data points in that series.
And I had one instance, where a couple missing lines reappeared when I exited
the browser and app completely and restarted the app.
All these comments apply to ver 1.6x and 2.0x

I've got the solution for one of your problems, but I want you to solve one that I have related to the sms. In order to stop your phone from connecting to the wifi set up your emails account first and it will stop. you have to go emails>>settings>>select the email account>>synchronisation>> retrieval days>> select none, because if you don't have data on your phone, it always try to retrieve the mails, and then it when the wifi comes out. Now my issue is that i can't see the ID when I got a sms even if I had it saved on my contact list, it is driving me crazy, I'm about to throw the phone away, please reply

Problem with opening/saving files in Pages/Numbers/Keynote

Hello, First of all: sorry for my bad english.
I had this problem already several months ago and already contact with the Apple hotline.
The only thing that was said then and was helped "new user account" - well done.
But:
I can not do this every 3 months.
The problem: I can not open a Pages / Numbers / Keynote files anymore.
From iCloud / iCloud Drive it goes, locally stored open still.
I'll get the error: "File can not be opened."
Newly created files I can not save - no matter which hard disk - it will show "missing access rights"
Of course, I've already deleted preferences, reset NV-RAM and repaired permissions (access rights) - via terminal "reset password" also.
Anyone here knows this problem and knows a solution?

Quicktime 10 problem with Export / Saving Edited Clips

I can do all the editing, triming, adding of clips using Quicktime Player 10.3 (727.3) but CANNOT use export. I just get an export progress box as seen below. It never advances, only thing is the time estimate continually increases. This was for two clips that were 26 seconds as you can also see in the Movie Inspector Dialog Box. The 2 million+ hours seemed a little longer than I expected. Any suggestions?

We have solved our problem.
In fact, opening the Excel file disabling macros we had a sheet with the code.
Analyzing ths code, we seen that the macro use English reference (R1C1) to the cells and not the French reference (L1C1).

AH!!!! Problems with iTunes saving songs

So i've recently upgraded to the newest version of iTunes, after having not been able to run my old version for quite some time. The old version would install, but just wouldn't run. Anyways the problem I'm having this time around is that iTunes will load up all my songs, i'll let it do its thing with the "determining Gapless..." something or other. Let it get all the album artwork it wants and then once everything is done, I'll start to play songs. But everytime I close the application, the next time I open it, it will begin the stupid automatic song load wizard. If I hit cancel, I just get taken to my iTunes window with no songs left. So my main problem is every time i open iTunes, my songs are gone. If anyone can help out, that'd be wicked. Thanks!

Have you tried updating the iPod software and
restoring it to the factory default settings? Try
that by downloading the iPod updater software from
here: http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/
If that doesn't work, try reinstalling iTunes aswell.
And if THAT doesn't work, try reinstalling your
computer, but backup important files!!! If you don't
want to do that, simply take the iPod back for a
replacement at the store (if bought from a store) and
get a new one! That's why i love Argos in the UK!!

Oh, and erm, go to the settings of your iPod and
click something like "manually update music and
videos" then you can drag the music or video file
over into iTunes, i find that works more

Problem with file saving permissions.

Latest 2.1 - says I don't have permission to save files. Fixed one file changing everyone permission custom to read-write. But problem appears in other files - some aren't even numbers files. The problem started immediately upon the latest software update for numbers. Is the a bug others have experienced? Is there a fix - the one I did only does a file at a time.

I've tried it using different attachments, like MS Word documents, plain textfiles. Is this the way to do this?
Or must I use a DataHandler object, but if the latter is true can someone pinpoint me to a good tutorial on datahandlers.
I rewrote the former code using a part.WriteTo() writing to a ByteArrayOutPutstream --> converting that stream to a ByteArrayInputStream and calling setBinaryStream on that using the size of ByteArrayOutputStream.
If I did this the system wouldn't hang but it wrote the contentHeader and the body to the database. The body would than be in Base64 format, wich is not what I want... Please can somebody set me on the right track here?

SCEP scheduled scan time problem with daylight-saving time?

Since the daylight-saving time change from last weekend (1 hour earlier) we see that a large group of SCEP clients start their scheduled scan at 11:00 where we have it set in the policy in SCCM2012 at 12:00.
Most workstations still begin their scan at 12:00.
Any idea?

Errors with SVG

Hello,
I have some problems with SVGs. Illustrator 17.1, Win 8.1.
A SVG GDR flag downloaded from here:

opened in Illustrator looks fine (below left), but after saving from Illutrator and reopening anywhere, including browsers, looks like on the right:
I have tried all possible combination of SVG saving options. I have tried expanding objects. I have tried to resave it first as both Plain SVG and Optimized SVG from Inkscape - where it all works. But as soon as I open these and save them from Illustrator, it breaks.
The Inkscape workaround works, but a flag is a part of much bigger artwork and, potentially many more in the future, so I have to be confident that Illustrator can manage saving SVGs on it's own, there are many more clipart flags out there and I can't possibly check every one of them :-) A different issue with other (also communist :D) flag I will try to describe in another thread.
Has anyone had similar experiences?

Hello m,
Open the file in Illy (or palce it). Make any changes. Select everything. From the Object menu, select Flatten Transparency. Save to a new name to make sure you get the Options dialog.
