A loud sound on typing and switching on/off.

After syncing with itunes my ipad 3 started to make a loud sound on typing and switching on/off. How can i turn the sound to normal state? Version iOs 6.0.

Thank You very much. It solved the problem. First i swiched off the side button and checked every thing abouut sound with setting mute (no sound on typing) and then I set the setting with rotation lock and again checked. the sound (it was coming in this case). Now I have set side button for rotation lock and then switched on the side button to lock rotation. I think the problem would have come when your side button is on for one setting and you set it in the setting for another one. Better to switch off side button, change the setting and switch on the side button. Actually i have to learn with the system that what is what. It is all because of my ignorance of new purchased IPAD. Once again thanks a lot.

My iPod classic keeps jumping to the next track and switching itself off?

It happens randomly. I can be listening to a song, it finishes and then theres no sound. The track doesn't actually start at all. When i say skips i dont mean is in the middle of the song and jumps. I mean the ipod switches to the next track.
Format - All my songs have been ripped from CD's or downloaded from I-Tunes. I cant find the file type, sorry.
I had a look on the link but the symptoms dont link to mine. It happens randomly, not when im cycling or moving the divece nescessarily.
    Thanks

  • Satellite A60-181 get warm and switched itself off.

Hope that someone out there can help.
I have not been able to use for a while my A60-181 without it being constantly plugged to electricity.
And it seems to get warm and switched itself off.
I have bought a new battery but I still get the same problem...and it is only 2 years old!
Has anyone any idea what I should do?

In my eyes this case is clear. Its a simply overheating. Usually the notebook shuts down automatically to prevent the notebook hardware from damage. Usually this happens if the notebook fans cannot rotate with full performance and speed.
The reason for such behaviour could be a dust and debris inside the notebook. Mostly after 2 years of working and suction the dust has a bad influence on the fan rotation.
The notebook cooling module cleaning could helps!!!
But if you have no experience please contact the technician. He should clean the fans professionally.

  • My iphone won't charge and won't play music anymore. I have tried reseting it and switching it off. Have tried 3 different chargeres and even a car charger. Does anyone know what could be wrong and how I can fix it?

I have an iPhone 4 not quite 2 years old. 2 nights ago my iPhone was on its charger and it kept vibrating as if it was being disconnected and re-connected from the charger. When I looked at it had an "error" message but now I don't know what that was as it was 3am and I was half asleep. I just diconnected the charger and the battery read fully charged.
The my volume wouldn't go up or down. The box with "ringer" in it came up but no bars at the bottom to show the volume is increasing or decreasing. It would not play music out of the speakers either even though the screen showed it was playing and it would not work in our dock/speaker unless I used bluetooth and even then, if we touched the volume button on the dock it would switch off.
I tried a "hard" reset 3 times and tried switching it off and on 3 times with no success.
I tried 3 different chargers including a car charger, plus the speaker dock with no success.
It is now out of battery and I cannot charge it.
The iPhone also would not back anything up prior to the battery going flat.
I just need to know if it is fixable or do I need to start looking for a new phone?

  • What causes a delay in when typing and switching between apps?

Recently, my iPad 2 seems to hesitate when moving to different home pages and when typing. I also find there is often a gap between when I use a touch command and when the command initiates. Could this be due to a lack of memory?

    Try reset all settings
    Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
Note: Data will not be affected but settings for Wi-Fi, FaceTime, Message, Home Sharing, Wall Paper, Sound etc will be reset

    Hello warhogs17,
After reviewing your post, it sounds like the iPhone will not turn on past the Apple logo. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

  • IPhone will only power on while connected to the power cable and will not power on if I try to connect to iTunes/PC. I tried resetting and switching power off. What should I do?

    Can someone help?

If resetting and restoring didn't fix it, you need to bring it to an Apple store to be evaluated. Sounds like the battery may have died.

  • I have just bout a brand new ipad mini and commenced setting it up. I had to leave it for a while and switched it off. When I came back to switch it on it asked for a pass code and I haven't set one up as far as I know. Anyone know whats going on!

I have just bought a brand new Ipad mini and started setting it up. I had updated to os7.4 and after it finshed installing I had to leave it before answering all the set up questions. When I switched it back on it asked me for a pass code which as far as I'm concerned, hasn't been set up yet. Anyone know whats going on!

    Hi robertbpage,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  If the iPad mini is asking for a password that you do not know, this article has steps you can take:

  • 6700 Classic - phone hangs and switches itself off...

Ever since I upgraded the firmware to v10.50 my 6700 classic is forever hanging (both during calls and when just browsing the phone) and often just shuts itself down.  It's almost unusable as it is so unreliable.  Is there any known bugs in the latest version of code - what can I do?  Previously the phone worked perfectly.

  • Why can't i manually switch apps off?

    Work iPhone 4S on 7.0.2.
It's laggy as ****. Why can't I manually switch off apps I don't use like maps, reminders & tomtom?
On Android I can go into each app and switch them off when I don't want them in use. Why can't I do this on iOS?
So far, I'm not liking Apple much.....

  • Question re switching data off abroad but using Wi-Fi

I bought an 8900, as it had wi-fi, and I had assumed when I switched data off when roaming, I would be able to use wi-fi to connect to the internet.
Just tried an experiment at home, and switched data off under mobile network options, connected to my home network via wi-fi, and tried to use my browser. I then got an error message saying couldn't connect to the internet.
Is there anyway to accomplish what I am trying to do? I use Gmail for mail, so had assumed I'd be able to switch off my data package while roaming, and just connect to Gmail via the web using wi-fi when abroad.
    TIA

yes... absolutely yess... it will work i tried it and it works... switched off my Mobile Network(GSM) and tried to connect on a wifi hotspot voila! i can send & received email use all BB Application such as BB Mesenger and Yahoo messenger,
Now the question is "switching data off abroad but using Wi-Fi" yes it should work and it is documented Accessing BlackBerry Data Services Using Wi-Fi Networks
All you need is an internet connection thru WIFI
    1. A Wi-Fi connection profile must be added for each hotspot or home Wi-Fi network.
Wi-Fi connection profiles can easily be configured via the Set Up Wi-Fi wizard. The
correct service set identifier (SSID), security type, security key or credentials are
necessary for this configuration. Additionally, hotspot users may need to have
additional credentials or agree to the hotspot provider’s terms and conditions for use.
These can be entered when using the Set Up Wi-Fi wizard.
    2. In most cases, no other additional configuration will be necessary. Once connected,
authenticated, and authorized to use the hotspot or home Wi-Fi network, all
provisioned BlackBerry data services should be available. This is accomplished by
establishing an SSL connection via port 443 to the BlackBerry Infrastructure
but one thing im not sure if the data plan or packages are consumed also or does it affect my BIS data plan
For hotspot or home Wi-Fi network users

  • MBP switch itself off sporadically

    Hello!
The short version: my MacBookPro (technical details below) switches itself off sporadically and nobody knows why!
The long story now: In July this year began my MacBookPro began to switch itself off. Due to the fact that this happened first while using Aperture 3 I thought that the problem was Aperture-related. It wasn't, the MBP did this after this first failure also while using other programs, even then, when Aperture was not open in the background.
So I started searching. First the usual things (Onyx, safe reboot, DiskWarrior, PRAM-reset), then the special ones (test with TechToolPro - everything was ok!) - but this didn't change anything: the MBP still switches itself off!
I couldn't even find a pattern: it happened after hours of use as well as shortly / during the (re)start or in battery-mode or when it was plugged in.
I made a backup of everything, wiped (secure) the harddrive, installed a new system on it, made all the system-updates and used it like this for a while. Nothing changed, it still switched itself off sometime!
I took it then to SCNet in Essen to have it repaired. They tested it for one week and found nothing! The MBP had beautiful results in all of the tests and switched itself off not even a single time - a wonderful machine, they said!
I took it back home, this wonderful machine, and used it whitout any change for a while. After some time, the nightmare began again!
Now I really don't know what to try anymore... so I'm here!
Here are the technical details about my MBP:
    - MBP 17"
    - built in 2007
    - RAM maxed from 2 auf 4 GB by Gravis (an autorised reseller) in Essen (in 2008)
    - the internal harddrive (160 GB) changed by the same Gravis in Essen through a new one (320 GB) (also in 2008)
    - logic board changed by SCNet due to an NVIDIA-error (it was paid by Apple!) - I've posted about this here (http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=11403389#11403389) already.
    - Mac OS X 10.6.4
Do you have any advice? Do you experienced something like this or at least heard of such a nightmare?
I am very grateful for any advice!
    Regards,
    Vlad

When the issue occurs with you, are there any peripherals connected to your computer? If so, remove them.
Make sure you are not using the computer on your lap as it is not a laptop. Sometimes if the Macbook Pro gets too hot, it will shut itself off.
Per your user manual: Do not operate your MacBook Pro on a pillow or other soft material, as the material can block the airflow vents. Never place anything over the keyboard when operating your MacBook Pro. Never push objects into the ventilation openings.

If you have Apple Care, I would give them a call. Advise them what the repair shop told you. You may need to take your computer to another repair shop for a 2nd opinion.

Click on the blue Internet Recovery in nbar's post. That is a link to what computers can run Internet Recovery.
Do a backup,  preferable 2 separate ones on 2 drives. Boot to the Recovery Volume (command - R on a restart or hold down the option/alt key during a restart and select Recovery Volume). Run Disk Utility Verify/Repair and Repair Permissions until you get no errors.  Reformat the drive using Disk Utility/Erase Mac OS Extended (Journaled), then click the Option button and select GUID. Then re-install the OS.

  • 5s phone makes a loud sound and vibration when talking on the phone. Any advice on this?

Need help with this.. iPhone 5s makes a loud sound and vibration while talking. So bad you have to hang up and call back. I have been to Apple and they have replaced the phone 3 times and still having the same problems

My 5s did exactly as you describe only on the left side of the display.
I exchanged mine as this is unacceptable and does not bode well for long term durability (on the creaky units).
You have 30 days I think for defective units. Better make an appointment with support and get it noted for the record or replaced.
