A magenta square appears randomly for 2 seconds in a video
In one particular video, once I have published the pdf, there is a random magenta square that pops up for 2 seconds about 2 minutes into the video. This does not appear when I play the video in Quicktime. I have tried deleting and re-importing the video, and the same thing appears in the same spot. Suggestions?

I agree with where vinayv is heading. This sounds like the video card changed format, and the monitor is blanking while it captures the new video timing.

This just started happening tonight, and no one I know has any idea what it could be. Here is the scrrenshot.... but the fact that it is actually showing up in a screen shot has me worried it might be the graphics card.

A previous web page I was viewing appeared unexpectedly for a second then displayed correct page.
true story.
while teaching guitar to a 14 yr old student, I opened up safari to find lyrics for a song for us to learn.
typed in the name. Clicked and Looked at the first link on results page. Went back to results page. clicked on second link.
played the song.
CLosed safari....well ...I hit the home button....didn't really turn off the app.
2 Minutes later, opened safari again for another song....
and the screen
is showing
an "image" I had viewed 6 hours before at home, for a full second then switched back to the
song page I was expecting to see.
this was a very...very ...awkward moment.You might consider using a different browser for work than you do for....whatever else you use a browser for. I like iCab Mobile.

When I open Iphoto, I see all my photos for a second and then they disappear and only a white dotted box appears. Then I click on it and for photos is a triangle with an exclamation point. It doesn't happen to all but quite a lot. how to I get them back
Have you recently deleted photos using the finder or run clean up software? Is so restore your backup
If not the backup your iPhoto Library and launch iPhoto while depressing the option and command keys. Rebuild your database

Blue screen appears for 1 second after closing my games apps

co'z i cant get a peace of mind with my unit!Try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose any data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.

Hi I replaced my hard drive on macbook and I want to install mac osx10.5 with the CD that came with the macbook. When I run the CD after a while I get the page showing language options for 2 second then a gray screen appears and nothing happens. I partitioned my hard drive and I tried installing Microsoft windows and that worked just fine. But I do not understand why it wont install mac os x 10.5????? PLEASE HELP ME. Thanks Hamid

my ipod touch wont turn on! i pressed the power button and the white apple logo appeared for five seconds and went to a black screen, and then back to the logo for 5 secs and back to the black screen for 5 secs. im not touching my ipod and it is still doing this. i did leave it onover night to update ios, is this why??

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Exchange Store unavailable for 30 seconds to 1 minute randomly
We are running Exchange 2003. Lately, in the afternoons, the connection to the server/store will drop for about a minute before it comes back. The server itself is still online and can be reached. The event viewer shows no errors, just the "Information" events where the services are stopping and the starting (Routing Engine, Exchange Store Driver, etc). I originally thought this might be due to a backup running at the same time, but it happened today with no backups having ran since Friday evening. Anyone experienced this before, any suggestions? Can the issue be reproduced or it just appears randomly? As we all see, the Exchange is unavailable due to the related service is restarted. Please make sure no third party software affect this. I also suggest you download ExBPA to have a health check for the Exchange Server.
If the issue can be reproduced or it occurs periodically, we need to collect dump information when the problem happen. Forum is not a good place for this type of troubleshooting. You may need to contact our CSS if you wanna a further troubleshooting on this.

Scroller not appearing in the popup when opened for the second time

I have a popup window which has three tabs A, B, and C. My tab A has BorderContainer > Scroller > Vgroup
When opened for the first time, I can see the scroller. But , when opened for the second time, the scroller does not appear and the content in th Border container seems truncated.
Please help.No answers, but I may be seeing something similar.
I'm converting a project from Flex 3 to 4. In a popup (Spark TitleWindow) I have a some TabNavigators. On subsequent openings of the popup, the contents of the navigator children don't always render. After some changing of various Halo components to their Spark equivalents, I thought the problem had gone away. But the problem seems to have come back.
In my case, I'm not sure if the "subsequent opening" is the key issue. Sometimes, the contents of nested TabNaviagtor children don't render on the first opening. although the first child content always renders. But the problem seems to increase in subsequent openings. (I.e. more children of TabNavigators don't render.)
Perhaps not connected, but I notice when this happens, the outside borders of dataGrid components don't render in components outside of TabNavigators. I suspect there's a simple thing I need to to do to fix this, but I haven't found it. Any hints or insights would be welcomed. -

Sudden extremely loud low-pitch buzz lasts for a second - happened randomly
My iMac occasionally would produce a sudden and extremely loud buzz from the speaker which lasts for 1 second or less only. The tone of the buzz is like an electronic distortion, something you would hear if you have a nasty electronic feedback in a digital audio mixer, low - mid range frequency. It is extremely loud I thought I was gonna have a heart attack. It happened very randomly, usually once a month or even less. But for the last 2 weeks I have had 3 episodes of it and 2 of them consecutively. 1st episode happened when I clicked on the delete button while trying to delete a contact from my MSN list. I had iTune opened in the back but not playing anything at that moment. 2nd episode, I had RealPlayer playing in the back, iTune opened but not playing anything, my iPod was connected with the iMac. I was converting a wav file in iTune into mp3, as soon as it was done, the loud buzz happened. Before I could catch my breath, (still had the RealPlayer playing in the back, iTune on but not playing anything), I tried to open a new tab in Safari and as soon as the tab was created, that loud buzz happened again. I tried asking apple genius but they haven't heard of anything like that and they guess it's probably the internal speaker's problem which I doubt. Any suggestion?
In some older iMacs, and others, a power surge could make noise;
and by this 'surge' I also mean some internal power component
could have a problem and supplying occasionally higher power.
Does this computer run warm or hot? Not sure if there is an
audible alert of some kind built into it; but a temperature widget
could be helpful to see how warm it gets. iStat Pro is good.
There may likely be a hardware cause behind this odd noise; so
I suggest you make an external backup of your work and files
just in case something else goes wrong; so you won't lose stuff.
Some kinds of backup include saving what you can to an off-
computer archive (DVD or CD media) to include using a bootable
externally enclosed FireWire hard disk drive; properly prepared,
and use it to make a complete computer drive 'clone' of everything.
A clone utility, such as Bombich's Carbon Copy Cloner, is good;
since it gives you some options and also the web page allows
you to get the utility and run it, the product is donationware and
is a good product. Also, in the header of the home page, you can
mouse-over the menu icons and see additional information.
In some older Macs with a loud buzz sound, there were some
significant hardware issues behind it. If your computer no longer
has any AppleCare protection plan left, this may be costly to fix.
Or you may luck out and the problem may be a loose wire, etc.
But to backup the files and stuff (and figure out how, in the case
of making only copies of iTunes libraries or iPhoto libraries) is
about the best immediate advice. The computer probably should
see a real qualified technician; not just five-minute duration 'genius.'
With a known pattern or set of events in which the computer will
make a loud and unnatural noise, a technician should be able to
duplicate it. And take notes to keep a small log of what all you do
when the computer makes this noise; so it may be duplicated in
the presence of a troubleshooting technician.
There may be some other cause of the 'buzz' such as a failing
optical drive or some circuit; and there also is a chance the
hard disk drive may be the source of odd sounds if it is failing.
(How loud are the fans in this computer? - Do they run alot?)
Not sure what else to say; but if the computer contents are
backed up, and the unit goes into the shop, you will at least
have a complete copy (bootable is best, on a FireWire drive)
in the form of a clone; that also could be used to troubleshoot
the computer or be useful in routine home/tech maintenance.

They gave me a brand new phone and I logged into all of my iCloud stuff, etc...
When I try to go onto the Internet it will say its loading, loading, loading, then give up. Pandora has given up after one song. All other apps that need to connect to Internet or networks load and load and then give up. I will double tap the one button and close out all the apps and it may work for a second but no more. Then I will turn the phone off and the same thing happens.

Hold down the option key during start up - you will be given the choice of which partition to use (Macintosh HD or Windows). I am having the same problem - Windows 7 seems to have installed but it goes to a blank black screen and there is nothing to do but force a reboot. I too have an i3 iMac...
