Yes, thank you! What you have answered has helped me to initialize iPad touch 4th generation model, and unlock it! Although, I only read your long reply first, to solve the problem that you have written before to someone else! It did not work exactly as you wrote, but you sent me in the right direction. Since, iPad did not have any data anyway, it did not matter if I lose any data in the process, I did not need to back any saved data. I pressed all the buttons and held it for different times and I don't know how it happened but eventially it turned on (logo picture apple appeared) and it was initialized! Thank you!

Most likely you have Office 2004 which are PPC-only applications and will not work in Lion. Upgrade to Office 2011. Other alternatives are:

Like, every time I hit recover, it tries to contact the server or whatever and then it can't find it. The screen is stuck with the iTunes and the USB cable thing on it. Somebody please help me! Do you think if I take this to Radio Shack where my mom bought it for me my warrenty would help either get a new iPod or they could fix this for me? Download RecBoot and see if that will kick it out of recovery mode.

If it says settings general about Version 4.3.3 (8J2). I have intalled the latest vertion for iPad touch 4th generation model? Where I can check if the iPad touch 4th generation has got iTunes (Windows 7) v11.1.4? I think it is the latest vertion.
When I connect ipod touch 4th generation to Mac using usb I get a message that new software vertion (6.1.5) is available for iPod! If I update it, I lose apps and data, but when I check general settings about version for iPod not iPad 4th generation I see version 4.3.5 (8L1). Probably if I update it to the latest version it would say 6.1.5 (8L1). But what (8L1) for iPod mean? And what (8J2) for iPad touch 4th generation mean?An iPod touch, 4th generation can be updated to version 6. An iPad 4th generation can be updated to iOS 7.0.4, which is the most current iOS.
In both cases, you MUST, MUST, do a BACKUP of all data before you update!!
You will probably have to restore from backup after update if you do have version 4.3.3 on a device. This device will need to be connected to a computer running iTunes version 11.1.4

I'm guessing you have Itunes on your computer, So when you go to plug your ipod touch in and itunes opens if it is syncing to your computer it will come up with "Syncing" and whatever the name of your ipod is. Click the (x) on the right hand side and it should stop the sync. After you have stopped the computer syncing you now have to click on the icon that has your ipod connected (so if it is called Ipodtouch click on that) then it should say in the info section IOs update or something like that and click on that. This will update your ipod touch to the latest IOs without syncing and/or deleting your apps. Once you have updated the IOs the apps will be synced with your computer automatically.

Drive Preparation
1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size. -
Since installing Mountain Lion, Time Machine says says that my Free Agent Goflex (Seagate) external 2gb drive cannot be used as it is read only. I tried disc utility to repair permissions but that block is greyed out. The disc verifies as being OKI What next?
Ok, I solved this problem! I ejected the drive and then disconnected it both from the power supply and the USB connector. I then reconnected everything and powered it up again and Then went into TM preferences and chose the drive as the backup. TM did a new backup (well over an hour) and now works as advertised.

Since you mention that the "modem" (which I'm guessing is a wireless router) is not close to the Time Capsule, I'm guessing a second time when I ask if you are trying to configure the Time Capsule to "join" your network using wireless only.

We have a 10 person office - all either use Acrobat XI or Reader XI. One person is on Windows 7. The rest are on Windows 8 (not 8.1). I say this because I thought it was a Windows 8 issue, but having the same problems on the Windows 7 machine. We are all having problems opening pdf's sent to us from other firms. This has increased in frequency over the past two months. We've checked with the various firms, and their other clients are not having problems. Some pdfs open but with a lot of missing content and strange formatting, others won't open at all. There are different error messaged depending upon the doc. Some are regarding the fonts, for example "can't extract the embedded font...." Others are "insufficient data" errors. There are more, but for purposes of keeping this short, I won't include them. Another unrelated issue is that we are having trouble printing excel files to pdf. The files end up with bad formatting. I've worked with adobe "chat" support, our IT consultants with no resolution. I also haven't found any similar "known issue" online Would very much appreciate any assistance. Thank you
The font embedding can be a problem if not done and you are trying to view the PDF and do not have the font on your machine. Acrobat will often try to find a replacement, but it is not always a good choice. Sometimes the "Use Local Fonts" button can be changed in state to resolve some of the viewing issues.
If you are trying to copy or export info, then it is important that you have the fonts on your system. Otherwise, the message you are getting about embedded fonts would not be showing up.
As for Excel formatting, be sure that the Adobe PDF printer is selected in the printer screen before you look for the paging and formatting of the file. In most OFFICE programs, if you change the printer the application will reflow the document to best match the printer (called "using printer metrics"). So check before you create the PDF that the layout is correct.
